Emergency services attended at Kilwinning Road, and a 20-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police were called around 2.10pm on Sunday to a report of three people found seriously injured at a premises in Kilwinning Road, Stevenston, following an earlier disturbance on Trelawney Terrace.
Two male youths, aged 17 and 15, were also taken to hospital for treatment.
Inspector Douglas Clark, Irvine Police Station, said: “Officers are following a positive line of enquiry and a police presence will remain in the area while we carry out investigations.
“Anyone with any concerns can approach these officers.
“We understand this incident may be worrying for the people living in this community and would ask anyone with concern to speak to us.”

The first World Curling event of 2025 gets underway this weekend as teams from across the world come to Stevenston, Scotland for the World Wheelchair Curling Championship 2025
This will be the last chance for teams to earn the final qualification points to qualify for the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games

The event will feature 12 teams who have qualified from last year’s championship or through the World Wheelchair-B Curing Championship 2024
Slovakia and Italy all secured their spot at the World Wheelchair Curling Championship 2025 based on their performance at last year’s event
Japan and England fill the final three places after winning medals at last year’s B-Division competition
Teams will be placed into one group and will play a round robin to establish rankings
The teams ranked 1st and 2nd automatically qualify for the semi-finals and the teams ranked 3rd to 6th will play in qualification games
The winner of those qualification games will proceed to the semi-final
The winners of the semi-finals will play for the gold medal
whilst the losers of the semi-finals will play in the bronze medal game
Round-robin play will conclude on Thursday 6 March
with qualification and semi-final games to follow on Friday 7 March
All medal games will take place on Saturday 8 March
