There is a green arrow there The problem is the camera doesn’t see it.” The Miami-Dade Department of Transportation told WLRN that it has not detected or been informed of any issues at the light The department said that it uses LED technology in the bulbs The county stressed that it “in no way touches manages nor maintains” red light cameras installed by cities Red light cameras are banned in unincorporated areas Bramblette was able to get her case thrown out after presenting video evidence at a hearing She said she faced disbelief and pushback from officers and Special Masters at the it police said he came up to the same two boys and started talking to them about “boobs and vaginas” and his difficulties getting an erection The report states Gettis then “pointed to his groin area and stated ‘That little guy can be a predator if you want it to be,’” an alleged comment that would later prove pivotal during bond court proceedings Police said the boys ignored him and when Gettis noticed that The report states that that prompted a security guard to tell him to “leave the boys alone.” police said he approached two 11-year-old boys playing pickleball in the building’s gymnasium asked them for their phone numbers and recorded video of them without their consent claiming he was going to “send the video to his kids.” Police said he then asked them personal questions he “pointed to his genital area” and said “Thank God it didn’t hit me in the balls.” They said he then “then lifted his pants from the bottom up to expose his scar,” all “while cupping his penis/scrotum/genital area with his hand over the clothes.” The report states he then told the boys “he was ordering pizza and invited them over to his house to have fun” and “they did not have to tell their parents and said this could be their secret.” “The victims said they felt pressured and scared so they ran home and disclosed the incident to their parents,” police wrote The report also outlines instances where Gettis is accused of touching young girls who were playing in the building’s gym he came up to a 12-year-old girl playing with her friends told her he used to own a dance studio and inappropriately touched her under the guise of “assist(ing) the victims with performing cartwheels.” police said he inappropriately touched a 9-year-old under the pretense of “assist(ing) her with completing a backflip.” he called her 6-year-old friend over to him and put both of his hands on her waist a surveillance camera “corroborated the information provided to investigators.” Gettis “had a pattern of behavior where he demonstrated a proclivity toward children when the victims (were) in a child safety area but away from their (parents’) custody,” an investigator concluded Gettis was arrested on two counts of lewd and lascivious exhibition on a child three counts of lewd and lascivious conduct on a child and two misdemeanor counts of luring and enticing a child a public defender argued there was no basis for the counts of lewd and lascivious conduct on a child or child solicitation “I don’t believe that’s ‘conduct,’” the public defender said “He pointed to his thing,” mentioning the alleged “predator” comment saying the “if you want it to be” portion showed probable cause for solicitation to engage in lewd conduct The public defender said it sounded like a “sarcastic comment.” “Not to a 14- or 15-year-old,” Judge Ariel Rodriguez said He also found probable cause on the third count Rodriguez ordered Gettis to be on Level 3 house arrest ordered him to have no unsupervised contact with A footbridge across Biscayne Boulevard from Brightline’s rail station in Aventura to land owned by retail giant Aventura Mall that was to have opened by Thanksgiving 2024 “in time for the holiday rush at the mall” instead is due by Thanksgiving 2025 senior vice president of Brightline owner Florida East Coast Industries told the Citizens’ Independent Transportation Trust in December He said he will show the trust in January how “passengers who will be on Brightline will be able to go across to the mall.” But he assured the trust that Brightline finally has a site where the bridge that so far has been a bridge to nowhere can end up landing “I’m glad to report that they actually had a deal with the county attorney and the Department of Transportation and Public Works and Commissioner [Eileen] Higgins who pushed this and got real creative how to push it and the county got an easement to land the bridge on the east side” of the Aventura station the rail line’s senior vice president of development had told the trust that “the bridge is ready We’re just making sure that we’ve got a place to put the bridge.” Now that end of the bridge from the station seems assured was to allow rail passengers and others to cross busy Biscayne Boulevard on foot and reach Aventura Mall The company needed a use and occupancy agreement for an aerial easement for the bridge over the boulevard to make that happen Brightline had been negotiating a lease for the point where the bridge will discharge users onto property owned by the mail and its developer Turnberry is just the latest hiccup in opening the bridge When planning the Aventura station that Brightline developed using funds overseen by the transportation trust mall owner Turnberry had a project to connect the bridge to an office building that it planned to develop on the site but ultimately didn’t When the station was constructed and completed in October 2022 the bridge was built and sitting in the station parking lot The developers had it manufactured “and it was sitting there waiting for it to land.” Now that a landing site has been agreed to A water main and drainage are in the way and must be moved “but our goal is to have that bridge up by Thanksgiving.” Once the bridge is up with stairs to the landing site a walkway will go to the county transit hub at the Aventura Mall to provide connectivity “and passengers who will be on Brightline will be able to go across to the mall.” The bridge won’t connect to the mammoth mall and Brightline passengers will need “to cross a few streets to get into either the county bus facility or the entrance of the mall.” the transportation trust approved the property acquisition and development agreement between the county and Brightline and $76.7 million in transportation surtaxes to develop the station the county got $4 million from the City of Aventura to develop the east side bridge that’s still in the works A direct connection to Aventura Mall at 19501 Biscayne Aventura and hardly anyone used it so they discontinued it Will the new bridge accommodate people in wheelchairs The bridge should’ve been ready 2 or 3 months ago I hope it will have have at least 2 skills saying he and the board rescued Turnberry on the Green from a “disastrous” financial state and made it “the most financially stable condominium in South Florida.” authorities said Arzumanov is accused of stealing more than $1.5 million from residents since 2017 “There was trouble in paradise,” Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle said at a news conference Tuesday Residents of Turnberry on the Green told Local 10 News they were shocked by the allegations against Arzumenov Arzumanov is accused of hiring his own companies to perform work at the building at inflated rates including switching security providers to a company he controlled and billing his own pool company “for services it was not performing and was already paying another company to perform.” Authorities said his pool company made $40,000 in 2019 “for services it never rendered.” They said he continued to bill the association even while knowing he was under investigation by law enforcement Court documents reveal Arzumenov holds passports from Georgia One allegation includes charging plane fuel to the association’s credit card Detectives said Arzumanov also appointed himself property manager and chief engineer despite not being a licensed engineer and having a background in quantum physics “He managed to consolidate a variety of positions within the condominium that allowed him to steal assets from the association,” Fernandez Rundle said detectives said he paid a $45 bill at the Crazy Buffet in West Palm Beach using the association American Express card Police also say he used money collected from owners’ maintenance fees for personal use even buying nearly $30,000 worth of artwork found in his unit Arzumanov used “threats and fear” to maintain control of the association and “filed several lawsuits against other association members as a means to quiet the opposition and suppress any (dissent),” authorities allege “The vast majority of owners are investors who do not reside in the building and as such are not exposed to or aware of the day-to-day issues,” police wrote “The defendant would utilize a well-organized campaign of misinformation to make the building appear profitable to the owners who would not question anything as long as their investment appeared safe.” In addition to charges of racketeering and money laundering Arzumanov also faces counts of
