Turkish towels are hands-down the best towels to travel with
The beautifully designed towel is slightly softer and more plush than most Turkish towels
The tassels can become tangled with frequent washing
The luxurious towel is equally durable and dries quickly
This extra long towel with a high-end look makes it easy to lay on without getting your feet dirty
It gets sandy quickly and isn’t quite as soft as other towels we tested
this blanket can accommodate multiple people lounging on it simultaneously
You can’t beat the price and color selection on this 100 percent cotton towel
We recommend Turkish towels for use at the beach because they’re lightweight and compact
so they won’t add too much weight or space to your beach bag
They’re also super absorbent and quick-drying
so you don’t have to worry about lugging home a soggy towel
The versatile towels can be used to dry your body
or wrapped around your waist like a sarong
If you use a Turkish towel to dry your body
If you use it as a beach blanket or cover-up and it hasn’t gotten dirty
you may be able to use it a few times between laundering
Be sure to follow the care instructions on your towel when washing and drying
Breaking in or softening a Turkish towel can make it even more absorbent and comfortable
wash it before using it to help remove any residual chemicals from the manufacturing process
you can add half a cup of baking soda or some white vinegar to the wash during the first cycle
Three people, including a baby and a 4-year-old boy, were left clinging to life when a fire tore through their Brooklyn apartment building Wednesday morning, FDNY officials said
The blaze broke out inside a second-floor apartment in the seven-story building on Bay 19th St. near 86th St. in Bath Beach about 6:15 a.m.
FDNY Deputy Assistant Chief Joe Duggan said
“A very heavy fire was found on arrival,” Duggan said
“We had trouble finding the fire apartment because of the smoke and high heat
We had multiple victims calling us needing assistance because they were trapped.”
The tenants in the apartment where the fire broke out left their fire-proof door open so the flames quickly spread and smoke filled the hallways and upper floors
you cause all sorts of problems and not the people that are directly involved
but their neighbors,” the chief said
“They’re the ones we had to transport to the hospital.”
a 4-year-old boy and a 42-year-old man were found overcome by smoke in the third-floor hallway, FDNY officials said
The children were taken to Maimonides Medical Center in critical condition Wednesday morning
The adult was taken to Coney Island Hospital in critical condition as well
An additional seven residents and six firefighters suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene
The blaze was so intense that firefighters were unable to get into the fire apartment to put it out
“We had to bring a fire hose up the exterior of the building and go in through a window,” he said
The two-alarm fire was put out in about an hour
More than 60 firefighters and 20 emergency medical technicians and paramedics responded to the scene
FDNY fire marshals are trying to determine what sparked the blaze

Yunus makes its move into the bath & beach segment
New York – Yunus USA has signed an exclusivity agreement with the owners of the patented weaveRight Technology quick dry towel construction for North America
Through the agreement, Yunus is breaking the classic “quick dry” towel out of its zero-twist construction constraints
The weaveRight patent covers the manner in which the ground of a terry towel is constructed
causing the moisture to wick outward at a faster pace than a traditionally woven terry cloth ground
This in turn allows the towel to dry faster than normally woven terry cloth towels both ambiently and in a dryer
The partnership expands on the bedding manufacturer’s vertically integrated production of sheets
Yunus is working with some of top towel manufacturers in Pakistan
“This sourcing flexibility allows us to supply many iconic constructions, choosing the best quality products from the three countries. We already have handshake agreements with some retail partners and are working to get those commitments translated to Pos,” he added
Kambak noted that the “quick dry” towel construction was created in reaction to skyrocketing cotton costs about 15 years ago
Manufacturers compensated by using less cotton in a towel
They added a zero-twist loop system that opened up the loops and increased air flow to speed drying
“The issue is only zero twist towels could truly be considered ‘quick dry,’ as they were always compared to similar weight ring spun towels
we can promote any towel construction as ‘quick dry,’ as the weaveRight patented towel ground makes every construction quick drying when compared to its same construction using a traditional cotton towel ground,” he explained
Yunus can promote a 700 GSM 2-ply WeaveRight towel “quick dry” since it dries faster than a 700 GSM cotton towel of the same spec
Matt Dalton, inventor and patent holder of weaveRight Technology said he partnered with Yunus because of both the companies hold a shared vision of solution-focused innovation
“The company has done a fine job climbing to the pinnacle of the bedding manufacturers landscape,” Dalton added
“I believe they will bring the same level of development and ultimately execution to the weaveRight line of beach and bath products.”
Yunus will debut the weaveRight terry lines during the New York Home Fashions Market
The company’s New York showroom is located at 330 5th Ave.

I didn’t know the area was zoned for buildings that tall
I just hope it doesn’t have a bazillion parking spaces
That’s not New York Harbor you are looking at
Although there are people who call the water beyond the Verrazano Bridge “the harbor,” it is clearly not a harbor
This serene ocean view has its own charm and real estate babble should not be ashamed to call it what it is
