Bill Maher was arrested for DUI in 1992 in Beverly Hills and spent a night in jail when he was 36 year old. There's little record of this in the media or Wikipedia and no mug shot. We only know about the incident because Maher has discussed it twice in the last year on his Club Random podcast
It could've wrecked my life becasue I was just starting with Poltically Incorrect
I had to get a special dispensation from the court to interrupt my 14-day corrective program that you have to go to when you have a DUI
We were just douchebag Millenials coming home from the club and we had one too many and were also driving too fast
"When I was stopped I happened to be wearing leopard-print shoes
if you think I wasn't going to get a ticket that night
I'm sure you also wore ridiculous things during the day
I'm sure some cool people have worn leopard print in the past
I'm sure I could find some pictures of rock stars
"You had to go to six AA meetings which I really resented because I was a little over the limit but it doesn't mean I was an alcoholic
I had to go to these meetings and we had to go around the room and everybody would say
Burr also confided he was busted for DUI in 1989
"I spent a night in the Beverly Hills jail for a DUI in 1992
I was barely over the limit both with the speeding and the drinking
"But I was wearing at the time leopard shoes
which I feel might have influenced the officer
'Can I be moved to anoher cell?' You can't get a good jail cell these days
And there was nothing on the Spectravision."
Chong was found guilty of paraphernalia sales in 2003 and spent nine months in a federal prison
Maher has never been arrested on a marijuana charge

Dorit no longer mentions RHOBH on her Instagram bio
another rumor spread that Erika was demoted to a friend of the show in Season 15
The blind item first surfaced on Bravo and Cocktails
The rumor hints that “this west coast housewife who recently wished her former costar was a ‘bit more interesting’ found herself receiving a ‘friend of’ contract for the new season.” Erika infamously said in the Season 14 reunion that she wished that Garcelle was “more interesting.”

The insider said that “there are absolutely going to be changes to the current cast,” some of which “will shock fans.” The tabloid hinted that a “main cast member” could exit
Other changes suggest that another cast member will be demoted to a friend of
while another friend of will be leaving the show
The publication previously reported that Kyle walked off the Season 14 reunion
fans should take these rumors with a grain of salt
Bravo hasn’t announced or confirmed a cast shakeup for Season 15 of RHOBH

Two titans of the design world have joined forces to create a new vision for one of the most famous corners of Rodeo Drive. It will take shape as a new Louis Vuitton flagship designed by acclaimed architect Frank Gehry
the flagship will span the block bounded by Rodeo Drive
South Santa Monica Boulevard and Beverly Drive
has owned the site since 2018 and has partnered with the city for decades to enhance the global profile of Rodeo Drive
LVMH Maisons comprise at present more than 15 storefronts on Rodeo Drive and the greater Business Triangle
The new Louis Vuitton project is transcendent
it will break through the boundaries of traditional retail into the full “Louis Vuitton lifestyle.” In addition to diverse product lines
it will house the first permanent exhibition space for Louis Vuitton in the U.S
That feature will highlight the brand’s influential global role as a touchstone not only of design
Choosing an icon such as Frank Gehry for the project’s architectural concept further cements that status
One of the most important architects of our time
Gehry’s body of work includes the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao in Spain
the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles and the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris
He is the recipient of the Pritzker Architecture Prize
the National Medal of Arts and the Presidential Medal of Freedom
But it is his designs that speak the most eloquently
Gehry’s works are renowned for incorporating materials such as stainless steel and titanium and the use of sculptural or undulating exteriors to make them landmarks of postmodernism
The design for the Louis Vuitton flagship bears the Gehry signature
As the Courier can exclusively reveal in an exterior rendering
the design features a dynamic light-colored façade of sleekly angled curves
Interiors of the project will be completed under the supervision of architect Peter Marino
who helmed the Cheval Blanc Beverly Hills project originally proposed for the site
According to documents filed with the city of Beverly Hills
the new flagship will include a 45,000-square-foot retail space fronting Rodeo Drive featuring three levels dedicated to products such as Women’s and Men’s collections
The rooftop level will include private spaces for clients
as well as a rooftop garden terrace that extends across the two buildings
An entrance on Beverly Drive will lead to the exhibition or hospitality space of 55,000 square feet
It will include one level featuring a café and exhibition lobby
two levels dedicated to the exhibition space and the rooftop level with a 100-seat restaurant and open-air terrace
Sources tell the Courier that decisions have yet to be made as to the chef and type of cuisine affiliated with the restaurant
but it will be an indoor-outdoor establishment to take advantage of the Southern California weather
Construction work on the Louis Vuitton flagship is slated to begin in early 2026
It is undergoing the normal Development Plan Review process for code-compliant buildings in the Triangle
The project stays within the allowable floor area and height limits typically applied in the area
“This version of the LVMH luxury project will be a real asset for the community,” Mayor Sharona Nazarian told the Courier
“The new retail and the amenities will appeal both to residents and visitors alike
I am especially pleased that this project will bring Frank Gehry’s iconic and unique design to our Business Triangle.”
Louis Vuitton is currently in the process of providing additional information in response to a comment letter received from the city in late March
Among the items requested are additional details about the construction process
The parties are also discussing the project’s operational parking needs and a proposal to use mechanical stackers
Due to AB 2097 (pertaining to new developments within a half-mile radius of major transit stops)
Next steps include an internal Planning Division staff analysis
followed by a report from the CEQA consultant
Hearing dates before the Planning Commission will ensue
is to reach the Planning Commission hearing stage with a proposal that is both practical and workable
Construction is expected to commence in 2026

Eight-Lot Mulholland Estate Includes a 1950s Ranch Home
A sprawling canyon estate in the Beverly Hills Post Office area
once partially owned by actor Bruce Willis
has been placed on the market with an asking price of $15 million
according to a listing by Sotheby’s International Realty
31-acre stretch along Mulholland Drive includes a piece of land Willis owned beginning in 1987 before selling it in 2016
a trust bearing Willis’ name joined with two additional trusts to transfer ownership of the full property portfolio
the buyer who had acquired the land from Willis transferred it to Grimm Investments LLC
which assumed $6.4 million in debt associated with the property
when Grimm Investments transferred ownership to Hollywood Ridge Holdings
Both companies are reportedly owned by the same individual
who has not commented publicly on the listing
Sotheby’s agents Allen Roth and Lissa Lebel are representing the listing
which they say is unique due to its scale and potential
“What’s special about this sale is the acreage,” a spokesperson for the agency said
noting that sizable undeveloped land parcels in this part of Los Angeles are rare
The offering includes a 3,000-square-foot ranch-style home built in 1953
the home can either be renovated or replaced entirely
Renderings for a potential new luxury mansion are included in the sale materials
showcasing what could be built on the expansive site

She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and the beloved eldest child of William and Afton Klein
Beverly had a love for sewing and playing the accordion
As a teenager she taught both in order to earn money
she remained devoted to her family throughout her life
Beverly enjoyed many hobbies: she loved bowling in her younger years
playing games and cards with family and friends
her greatest joy came from spending time with her family
Whether it was attending sporting events or music recitals
“Grandma Bev” could always be found cheering in the crowd
Beverly held various jobs during her working years
She excelled as a secretary and administrative assistant
She was the fastest typist most people had ever seen
and watched in awe as she typed nearly 150 words a minute
Later in her career she formed her own company doing paralegal work
she would go to work at the administrative offices for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
working in the auditing and cultural arts departments
One of the fondest traditions Beverly created was inviting her grandchildren over in small groups each Christmas season to make treats together — a memory cherished by all
Her thoughtful touch extended to every holiday
often sending a $2 bill tucked inside a festive card to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren — a tradition that will be dearly missed
Beverly was devastated by the untimely loss of her eldest son
She greatly looked forward to the reunion with them — a joyous moment that has now come to pass
Beverly is survived by her brother Rick (Marialice) Klein
and Carlan (Kristen) Reese; 18 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren who brought her endless pride and happiness
we rejoice in the knowledge that families are forever

There have been mixed reviews about the future of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Season 14 created more questions than answers, and fans were once again left hanging. And even though nobody loves change, for the franchise, it feels that a recast is necessary if the RHOBH series wants to stay at the top of its game.

It seems that significant changes are coming to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. A source close to production spoke out to OK! Magazine about what could be tweaked ahead of Season 15
“There are absolutely going to be changes to the current cast
some of which will shock fans.” The RHOBH insider added
and another person is going to be downgraded to a friend — at least that’s the current word on the street
View this post on Instagram A post shared by Garcelle Beauvais (@garcelle)
Directly after the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion, Garcelle Beauvais announced she was leaving the show
but it’s been a ride never the less.” The actor stated she would be leaving in order to be closer to her family
She also noted she had big career ventures coming up
“I have the most exciting projects that I am developing
producing and acting in — and I can’t tell you anything right now
Garcelle’s choice to leave rocked the boat as no one saw it coming. The Coming to America star actually had a decent season. She tried to hold Bozoma Saint John and Dorit Kemsley accountable for their actions against Sutton Stracke
But it seems she got tired of the mean girl attitude that was always thrown her way
I think Garcelle’s exit caused Bravo to think about a possible recast sooner than expected
Kyle also seems to have grown tired of her part on the show. Her forehead vein popped out more times than I can count during Season 14. And I doubt the heat will be off her if she sticks around for Season 15. She had some really good storylines if she had just stuck with them. Whether it be her separation from Mauricio Umansky or her relationship with Morgan Wade
But Kyle seems determined to keep all her skeletons in the closet
there is no place for a full closet on Bravo
so I’d say it’s time for Kyle to pack her bags and hit the road
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is available to stream on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland
TELL US – DO YOU THINK RHOBH IS READY FOR BIG CHANGES
Jennifer O'Brien has been a fan of reality TV ever since Jessica Simpson asked
"Is this chicken or fish?" Jennifer's favorite shows consist of everything Bravo
including the 'Real Housewives' franchises
Jennifer's passion for reality TV shines through as she often tries to get to the bottom of major plot lines like Vanderpump Rules' "Scandoval."
The longtime 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star admits that it’s "very difficult" to have "the world weighing in on analyzing things" on the show

Opening this fall in the basement of the historic Hogan Building
modern take on Mexican cuisine — and a sleek new reason to stay out late
the city’s slipping into something a little sleeker: Beverly’s Downtown
a Mexican-inspired restaurant tucked in the basement of the historic Hogan Building at 901 Houston Street
If you’re picturing sombreros on the wall and combo plates numbered one through twenty
Beverly’s isn’t trying to imitate the taquerias or Tex-Mex institutions that Fort Worth already knows and loves
Jeff Payne and Jason Cross — the duo behind Cousin’s BBQ and the buzzed-about New American spot The Mont — are steering the conversation somewhere new
“We’re not trying to replicate the traditional Mexican restaurant experience,” Payne says
“We’re moving the needle forward while respecting the roots of the cuisine — creating something unique
Translation: this isn’t your standard chips-and-salsa affair
tortillas made from heirloom flour and corn will be treated like art
arriving warm alongside cultured butter laced with pickled onion
The menu will pull from all corners of Mexico — the heavy
the citrus-bright flavors of the coasts — and land somewhere that feels both rooted and restless
the 7,000-square-foot space doesn’t shy away from its basement location
and enough reflective surfaces to make your mezcal cocktail look even better on Instagram
and completely different from anything else downtown right now
It helps that the Hogan Building itself has good bones
Long before it became home to Fort Worth’s newest underground dining spot
the Hogan Building had already lived a few lives
the structure first served the city’s booming downtown as a commercial hub
back when Fort Worth was still shrugging off its frontier past and leaning hard into prosperity
the Hogan got a glamorous facelift: sleek lines
and all the chrome and concrete you could ask for
even if the Great Depression was still clinging to the country’s heels
and watched Sundance Square spring up around it
with a thoughtful restoration and a new lease on life thanks to Beverly’s Downtown
the Hogan Building is stepping into its next act — proving that in Fort Worth
the past and the future don’t just coexist
Beverly’s Downtown is expected to open in Fall/Winter 2025 for lunch
and the kind of nights you don’t want to end too early

Print Supporters of President Trump and counterprotesters converged in West Hollywood and Beverly Hills on Sunday in a small but raucous confrontation that included a performance from a pro-Trump punk rock star and remarks from a disgraced former congressman
At a rally aimed at encouraging voters to leave the Democratic Party
Matt Gaetz portrayed the Republican Party as “patriotic and joyful” while denigrating the opposition as “angry and lonely.”
“They are the movement that allowed this great state to burn,” Gaetz said
“They are the movement that turned what was paradise over to the homeless and illegal aliens.”
who now hosts a political news show from San Diego
had stepped down from his congressional seat after Trump nominated him to be the nation’s attorney general
The nomination sparked controversy because Gaetz was previously under investigation by the Department of Justice for allegations of child sex trafficking
Matt Gaetz spoke Sunday at a Beverly Hills rally that aimed to persuade Democrats to drop their party registration and join Republicans
(Carlin Stiehl / Los Angeles Times) Gaetz ultimately withdrew himself from consideration for the attorney general post
the House Ethics Committee reported that it had found evidence that he abused drugs and paid for sex
His scandal-ridden history went unmentioned at the rally Sunday
where he beckoned those disaffected with the left to join Republicans
“If you come to our side,” he told a few hundred attendees
“we will welcome you with a patriotic embrace.”
dubbed the “American Restoration Tour,” was largely peaceful
with the exception of a small fight and an arrest
Private security guards tackled a man who appeared to be wearing a kilt and yelling
He was seen being handcuffed by police officers as Trump supporters chanted “U.S.A.”
One person was arrested at the rally on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon
although it was unclear whether it was the same individual as the one who was apparently detained by officers
No additional details were available Sunday evening
The rally was held in Beverly Gardens Park, a lush green space that runs parallel to Santa Monica Boulevard and has been the site of frequent demonstrations in support of Trump. Although much of the affluent Westside skews liberal, Beverly Hills is home to neighborhoods that repeatedly voted for Trump.
Politics
Former President Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris in the race for the White House on Wednesday.
Shiva Bagheri, the organizer of some pro-Trump gatherings there in 2020, told the crowd that she fled Iran because of the effect of “radical Islam” on the nation. Bagheri said she voted for President Obama, but the “bubble was popped” because he gave “boatloads of cash to Iran.”
A common thread of the roughly two-hour rally were speakers such as Bagheri: former liberals who felt disenfranchised by the Democratic Party and became full-throated Trump supporters.
Actress Natalie Beisner, who voted for Hillary Clinton and Obama, said the COVID-19 pandemic shutdowns made her rethink her political views. Beisner said that due to the shutdowns, she lost two jobs and her grandmother died alone, while at the same time, protesters prompted by the death of George Floyd could gather en masse. When she raised such concerns, Beisner said, she was called racist and selfish.
“These people refused to acknowledge that I might have an honest reason for disagreeing with them. There was no conversation,” she said. “So I walked away from the Democrat Party because for the first time in my life, I connected my suffering directly to Democrat policies.”
Before the rally, which was organized by the creator of the #WalkAway social media campaign encouraging voters to leave the Democratic Party, Trump supporters gathered in the heart of the LGBTQ+ community in West Hollywood to march into Beverly Hills.
As diners along Santa Monica Boulevard brunched on patios and took in a drag queen performance, several dozen pro-Trump marchers chanted, “Walk away from hate.”
Anti-Trump protesters and members of the #WalkAway movement confronted one another Sunday in West Hollywood. (Carlin Stiehl / Los Angeles Times) A slightly larger number of counterprotesters had gathered nearby, yelling, “No KKK! No fascist USA! No Trump!”
A West Hollywood resident who went by the name Anniejump came with a loud speaker and pink bandannas. She called the group “bigots” who came to the community of West Hollywood “to attack queers.”
“Anybody who doesn’t like fascists wants them out of town,” Anniejump said.
But the LGBTQ+ community is not monolithic in its political views.
Hunter Gibson, a 29-year-old gay man, told The Times that he felt that in places such as West Hollywood, “if you don’t think a certain way, you’re ostracized.” Conservative groups, he said, were more open to dialogue.
At the rally, several speakers focused on the transgender community. After the event, Brandon Straka, a gay man and the founder of the #WalkAway campaign behind Sunday’s event, expressed concern about transitioning by underage people.
Brandon Straka, the founder of #WalkAway, marches in West Hollywood on Sunday as part of a campaign to persuade Democrats to join the Republican Party. (Carlin Stiehl / Los Angeles Times) Straka was pardoned by Trump in January after being convicted of misdemeanor disorderly conduct for taking part in the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
“I think you can be pro-transgender and also recognize that there’s a culture that’s too permissive, that’s turning people into permanent victims, especially people who are not actually transgender,” he said in an interview.
Cherie Currie, the former lead singer of the Runaways, sang “Cherry Bomb” at the rally.
The 1976 song was a subversive celebration of female sexuality and rejection of the patriarchy by an all-female band. Currie has since become a supporter of the Gays Against Groomers movement.
Lila Seidman is a reporter focused on California wildlife and the outdoors for the Los Angeles Times. Since joining The Times in 2020, she has investigated mental health policy and jumped on breaking news. A native Angeleno, Seidman holds a bachelor’s degree from Reed College and a master’s degree from Pepperdine University.
Seema Mehta is a veteran political writer who covers national and state politics, including the 2026 gubernatorial race. Since starting at Los Angeles Times in 1998, she has covered multiple presidential, state and local races. In 2019, she completed a Knight-Wallace fellowship at the University of Michigan.
