SportsLine's proven computer model can help you find value to add to your MLB home run picks
The model simulates every game 10,000 times and is on a 17-11 roll on all top-rated MLB picks since the start of the season. Now, the model has revealed its projections for some of the most-bet MLB HR prop bets on Sunday. These three picks can also be parlayed for +16913 odds and would pay out $850-64 on a $5 bet at FanDuel Sportsbook
The Mets play a doubleheader today, so it's worth noting off the top that this price is for the first game against the Cardinals with first pitch scheduled for 1:15 p.m
It's been a sensational season so far for Alonso
as he leads the NL in batting average (.345)
slugging percentage (.664) and OPS (1.136)
He has eight home runs already and his 94.8 mph average exit velocity and 57.9% hard-hit contact rate (both career-highs) paint a pretty clear picture of how well he's squaring up the ball. Cardinals starter Erick Fedde gave up 10 hits and seven earned runs in his last start and Alonso's +460 pricing on FanDuel looks alluring even on a cool and windy day in St
Adames signed a seven-year, $182 million contract with San Francisco after posting 32 home runs, 112 RBI and 21 stolen bases (all career-highs) with the Brewers in 2024
He's hit at least 20 home runs in each of the five full seasons he's played in the MLB and this is a positive regression play after a slow start
Adames only has two home runs and a .602 OPS but his 88.8 mph average exit velo is above his career average and his 45.8% hard-hit contact rate is actually a career-high
\He'll eventually adjust to Oracle Park and a matchup with Rockies righty German Marquez might be the medicine he needs right now
Marquez has a 9.82 ERA on the season and has given up 25 earned runs over his last 14 2/3 innings
FanDuel once again has the best price here on Adames to go yard
You've seen the model's MLB HR prop picks for several players on Sunday. Now, get MLB projections for every player prop at SportsLine
The number doesn't include all of the options that eventually made their way to practice squads as well
While the percentage of how many went undrafted yet still comprise the totality of rosters will vary from year to year
the presence felt by those participants can't be overlooked
The hardest part for any young man trying to achieve his dream of becoming a professional football player is understanding that going undrafted is actually beneficial from being selected later in the process
Individuals gets to pick and choose where they go based on available offers
thus gaining some freedom to adequately assess rosters and see where the biggest opportunities lie
the following individuals who signed after the draft are walking into good situations where they have a legitimate shot at making their respective roster
which became clear when the organization spent freely during undrafted free agency to bring in Connecticut's Valentin Senn and Ohio State's Josh Fryar
Neither Jonah Williams nor Kelvin Beachum Jr
Senn gets the nods based on his better movement skills and significant upside as an international player from Austria
305-pound prospect started 38-straight games on the Huskie's blindside
The Cardinals could end up with a long-term solution at offensive tackle
much like the Indianapolis Colts did with fellow Austrian Bernhard Raimann
"His ball skills and athletic upside give him a high ceiling
and top-end speed to succeed at the next level." Aside from excellent value
the Falcons didn't add a true cornerback in this year's class
though he spends significant time over the slot
Bryant as the the ability to be Atlanta's fourth or fifth cornerback from Day 1
Virginia Tech4 of 32Johnnie Izquierdo/Getty ImagesKeonta Jenkins is a classic 'tweener after playing the star position in the Virginia Tech Hokies defensive scheme
which should lend well to him moving into the box full time and making a complete conversion to linebacker
Jenkins did manage 19.5 tackles for loss over the last two seasons
Despite Matt Milano's extensive injury history
the Buffalo Bills didn't sign or draft a linebacker to improve the team's depth
Jenkins could easily slide into a sixth linebacker role
while serving as a core-four special-teamer early in his professional career
Megan Briggs/Getty ImagesNo one wants to talk about kickers until a team needs one
The Carolina Panthers didn't bring back Eddy Piñeiro this offseason
The organization signed Matthew Wright for a third time
though he's never been a team's full-time kicker
Two kickers heard their names called during the 2025 NFL draft
Florida State's Ryan Fitzgerald wasn't one of them despite a claim that he was one of the top available options after being a first-team All-American selection last season and converting all of his attempts last season
including going five-for-five from 50 yards and beyond
David Jensen/Icon Sportswire via Getty ImagesIncoming linebackers Ruben Hyppolite II
whom the Chicago Bears drafted in the fourth round
and the undrafted Power Echols basically fall on the opposite sides of the spectrum
which could make them excellent complementary options
Hyppolite's profile is built around his speed and explosive traits
while Echols doesn't feature the same athletic upside
The latter is far more instinctive and productive
Echols amassed 296 total tackles and 13 tackles for loss
Whereas Hyppolite didn't surpass either number over the entirety of his five-year collegiate career
Both can come in and provide much-needed depth behind Tremaine Edmunds and TJ Edwards
203-pound McMillon posted a 9.20 relative athletic grade prior to the draft
The Florida transfer started two seasons at Pittsburgh
the Dallas Cowboys felt compelled to address safety once the 2025 NFL draft ended
After not adding anything to the position during the event
Dallas signed four as undrafted free agents
the Cowboys spent the most to bring in Syracuse's Alijah Clark
The 21-year-old Clark left the Orange as a three-year starter
He doesn't present the best ball skills
though he does have position flexibility to play multiple roles in the Cowboys defensive scheme
Clark can be an instant contributor as part of Dallas' special teams
The organization is likely looking at its long-term future as well
Donovan Wilson and Malik Hooker will both be 30 or older going into the 2026 campaign
with the former not being under contract beyond the upcoming season
"But after a solid Senior Bowl showing at center with his play strength
he has a viable developmental pathway to stick on a roster at the pivot with the ability to get a team out of a pinch at guard."
James Black/Icon Sportswire via Getty ImagesZach Horton has an opportunity to create some added flexibility within the Detroit Lions' already outstanding offense
who can be used as an H-back either in line as a tight end or lined up as a fullback
He took full advantage of Curt Cignetti's decision to leave James Madison and take over the Indiana Hoosiers football program
scoring eight total touchdowns—four receiving and four rushing—during the program's run to the College Football Playoff
Horton will come in and show a lot of grit and positive attitude as a blocker
which should carve out a role on the roster no matter how he's used
he's regressed since then due to injuries and putting on some bad weight." NFL teams always believe they can get the most out of a player after seeing him perform at a high level no matter when it occurred during his career
Dumas-Johnson is well-worth a free-agent deal
because his upside certainly signals a linebacker capable of making the Green Bay Packers roster and proving much-needed depth
Terence Lewis/Icon Sportswire via Getty ImagesTwo years ago
the Indianapolis Colts made Matt Gay the NFL's highest-paid kicker
The team did bring in Spencer Schrader but he attempted all of five field goals during his rookie campaign
Temple's Maddux Trujillo should come into camp with a very good chance of outright winning Indianapolis's kicking job
Trujillo has a big leg that led to a 64-yard field goal conversion last season
As long as he shows consistency along the mid-range during the competition
the undrafted rookie could easily become the Colts' new kicker
Henigan left the Tigers program as a four-year starter and its all-time leading passer
the incoming quarterback understands what it means to play the quarterback position and how to approach it every day in a workman-like manner
which makes him an ideal long-term backup option for starter Trevor Lawrence
Henigan can immediately replace John Wolford as the Jags' QB3
then move into the backup role once Nick Mullens' contract ends after the 2026 season
"Putting him in the slot and outside as a flex weapon is the best for his development
He offers multiple passing game benefits to an NFL offense
The run blocking will be a storyline to watch early in his career as an NFL player."
he'd be best as a traditional defensive end in even fronts."
the MAC product posted the second-lowest opponent passer rating in the 2025 FBS draft class among cornerbacks taking at least 50 percent of his team's snaps
with nine interceptions and 14 defended passes over the last two seasons
John Byrum/Icon Sportswire via Getty ImagesNorth Carolina's Willie Lampkin is simply too good of a football player not to make the Los Angeles Rams' roster
Lampkin easily produced some of the best tape seen from any prospect this past season
his size deficiencies weren't as issue at the Senior Bowl when facing other all-star-caliber NFL prospects
Lampkin came out of that event looking even more impressive
the question is whether Lampkin can play anything other than center at the highest level
the evaluation process had pegged him as pivot because of his size despite starting 35 collegiate games between the two guard sports
Watch the undrafted free agent continue to impress and find a way to become the Rams' primary swing interior blocker
Dippre was never used as a primary target for either the Crimson Tide or during his time with the Maryland Terrapins
As Henry and Hooper get older than their contracts expire
Dippre can learn from them then take on a larger role two or three years down the road
Jeffrey Vest/Icon Sportswire via Getty ImagesOnly one punter
heard his name called during the 2025 NFL draft
An argument can be made in James Burnip's favor that he was the top-rated prospect at the position despite going undrafted
The New Orleans Saints are definitely positioned to upgrade on special teams with Burnip now in the mix
the Saints signed another undrafted punter in Matthew Hayball
The rookie finished 30th and 25th in punting average and net punting average
Hayball did an excellent job as a directional punter with good hangtime to minimize returns
Burnip outperformed each of the two previously mentioned numbers during his final season on campus
while getting excellent hangtime and minimal return yardage
Lee Coleman/Icon Sportswire via Getty ImagesThe New York Giants' wide receiver room remains a work-in-progress
Malik Nabers is the clear WR1 after a phenomenal rookie season
but he's never been a consistent threat
Wan'Dale Robinson caught a lot of passes last season
but his below-the-rim game leaves a lot to be desired
This setup is why the Giants signed seven undrafted wide receivers
Virginia Tech's Da'Quan Felton garnered the most interest
213-pound Felton is another vertical presence
but he didn't produce at a high level due
The Giants hope they can take his physical traits and develop into something more
David Rosenblum/Icon Sportswire via Getty ImagesNotre Dame's Jordan Clark brings versatility and NFL bloodlines to the New York Jets
The fact that Clark is undersized with a marginal athletic profile likely won't matter as much to Aaron Glenn as it might with other coaches
Glenn should see that Clark knows how to play the position after learning from his father
The younger Clark has similar traits as his father regarding style of play and tenacity
He showed up this past season after transferring to Notre Dame and became one of the Fighting Irish' defensive leaders along the back end
they drafted cornerback Azareye'h Thomas and safety Malachi Moore
though he can back up multiple spots in the secondary
David Allio/Icon Sportswire via Getty ImagesThe Philadelphia Eagles value running backs as much or more than any NFL team
Saquon Barkley will remain the squad's offensive focal point
though the organization should worry about load management this coming year and into the future
AJ Dillon is trying to make a comeback from a previous neck injury
Will Shipley is a versatile option out of the backfield
Central Arkansas' ShunDerrick Powell is just the type of prospect that fans of a team will want to root for as an undersized (5'7"
183 lbs) ball-carrier with fantastic speed and even better production coming out of the FCS level
He ran for 3,867 yards over the last two seasons
Powell is a change-of-pace back to give the Eagles a full complement of ball-carriers in an already talented backfield
"While he will need to refine his coverage abilities
Castro has the tools to contribute on defense and special teams."
Chris Gardner/Getty ImagesThe San Francisco 49ers decided not to sign a big undrafted free-agent class
BYU's Jakob Robinson stands out as an individual capable of helping the team's secondary
With Charvarius Ward leaving in free agency to join the Indianapolis Colts
the Niners didn't adequately replace him in the starting lineup
Tre Brown was brought in as a veteran option
San Francisco did draft Western Kentucky's Upton Stout in the third round
though he's earmarked as a slot defender
Robinson is an experienced player with over 54 games played during his collegiate career
He also had good ball skills by grabbing 11 interceptions and defending 21 more passes over the last four seasons
The real selling point is sub-4.4-speed in order to stay in phase will with of his assignments
Unchenna Nwosu's salary-cap hit rises to over $20 million in 2026
The Seahawks need to be looking at their future among the squad's edge-defenders
run-blocking skills and understanding of leverage to earn a backup role in the NFL
but his mediocre physical tools will make it difficult for him to match up with defensive tackles consistently
his marginal athletic ability and recovery skills shrink his margin for error enough to keep him as a backup/bottom-of-the-roster tackle in the NFL."
Bryan Bennett/Getty ImagesAs seen throughout this piece
the NFL is always searching for quality offensive linemen
hence why a quarter of the list is dominated by blockers
The Washington Commanders are one those teams that needed to overhaul a portion of their front five this offseason
The front office traded for Laremy Tunsil before drafting Oregon's Josh Conerly Jr
The interior didn't initially receive much help
Washington was hot and heavy after North Carolina State's Timothy McKay in undrafted free agency
McKay converted from right tackle to right guard
Nate Herbig and Chris Paul aren't signed beyond this season
If a young and talented undrafted free agent impresses

Brent Howard Elkins passed away April 30 at the age of 79 from complications after a fall in his front driveway
He was preceded in death by his wife and parents
Howard Amos Elkins and Alice Henrietta Barnett of Salt Lake City
Brent married Carol Ann Pierson on November 21
Brent graduated from West High School in Salt Lake
Brent joined the Utah Air National Guard in January of 1965
then as “full time” and was honorably discharged after 35 years with the rank of Chief Master Sergeant
His duties included servicing and maintaining the Guard’s fleet of planes
Brent would often times talk about growing up on the west side of Salt Lake where his family owned a home on the Jordan River
and bad things having to do with a river running in your back yard
Robert told us this story - “We were in a nearby field shooting bows and arrows
Robert told Brent that when you shoot an arrow straight into the air
and sure enough the arrow did not come straight down
Brent would always say ‘Robert tried to kill me’.”
Later he developed a love for motorcycle riding
He spent many weekends with his friends on trips all over Utah and the surrounding states where they would ride bikes and “shoot stuff.” But especially in Southern Utah
One of their favorite trips was a cruise on the Alaska coast
Nevada Air Races and the annual Sema Convention in Las Vegas
They also spent a lot of time in the mountains near Marysville
Brent was the “go-to” for our family
Brent had many neighbors around him that he loved
we are especially grateful to them as they helped Brent in the years after Carol passed away
Along with many longtime friends who helped care for him these last few years
during his life he really enjoyed talking with anyone older than him about their life experiences
especially if they were involved with the military

Link Copied!0DebateEven though Brent Venables led the Sooners to another disappointing season last year
and athletic director Joe Castiglione both backed Venables as the head coach
But our confidence in the coach,” Harroz said of the Sooners’ HC
going into the SEC was never going to be a cakewalk
and it’s the very reason why Venables still has a strong backing from the Oklahoma prez and AD despite handing two of the worst seasons in the last 27 years of Oklahoma
“We knew it was going to be a tough year going into the SEC… We knew there was going to be some turbulence,” Harroz added
But even Venables knows that if he doesn’t turn things around this year
the Sooners will not wait too long to part ways
especially when a potential $9 million replacement might be ready to take over
Long before Venables was promoted to the head coach role
the 54-year-old played a crucial role in the Sooners’ last championship win in 2000
while the now-Oklahoma HC’s role as a defensive coordinator can not be denied
if there is someone who the Oklahoma fans are still grateful for is Josh Heupel
Heupel has a tremendous record as the Vols’ HC
Heupel still has three years left in his Tennessee contract
but if the Sooners make themselves available for Heupel
highlighted Heupel’s strong ties to Oklahoma
this seems the most ideal option for the Sooners
Tramel wasted no time in landing Brent with this tough admission on the Saturday Down South show
I have no idea if Josh would entertain the notion or accept
I do know this: he’s got a lot of—he still has a lot of ties
Josh’s son-in-law—his brother-in-law—is a former United States congressman prominent Oklahoma
So he wouldn’t—I don’t think he would dismiss it.” Berry added
it’s weird to think that after taking Tennessee to all new heights and ending last season with an extraordinary 10-3 record
Even Berry Tramel feels the same: “I also think it’d be a very popular choice
Tennessee is a pretty good place to coach football.”
Oklahoma’s history works in Brent Venables’ favor
as they often don’t hire big-name coaches from other teams; rather
they go for their own assistants and staff
They’ve always hired an assistant—often promoting from within—but also going out and getting somebody with Oklahoma ties or non-commies off another staff
And they’ve been incredibly successful with that model.” Berry said
But what might not work in his favor is Oklahoma’s last year’s run
We all saw how Oklahoma’s offense stumbled badly from the start
failing to meet any preseason expectations
The unit quickly spiraled; quarterback changes were frequent
They fired first-year offensive coordinator Seth Littrell after only seven games
replacing him with interim coordinator Joe Jon Finley
The offense managed a dismal 24 points per game—the program’s worst since 1998—while the offensive line crumbled
allowing more sacks than any other FBS team
But you can’t also brush off the fact that Oklahoma’s under Brent Venables
Oklahoma’s defense shone bright last season
The Sooners significantly strengthened this side of the ball
They consistently disrupted opposing drives
averaging an impressive 2.69 sacks (top 25)
and recovering 12 fumbles (tied for sixth)
Their red-zone defense was particularly strong
allowing touchdowns on only 47.37% of possessions (10th nationally)
especially after Paul Finebaum’s ultimatum
What’s your perspective on:Can Brent Venables survive Oklahoma's brutal SEC schedule
Oklahoma’s brutal schedule, ranked the second-toughest nationally by Athlon Sports, intensifies the pressure on the Sooners. They face Michigan, Auburn, Ole Miss, Missouri, and LSU at home, then travel to South Carolina, Tennessee, and Alabama, plus the Red River Showdown against Texas. This relentless gauntlet leaves little room for error.
To survive, Coach Venables needs early momentum before the SEC onslaught. The first five games—Illinois State, Michigan, Temple, Auburn, and Kent State—before Texas are crucial. Early losses could spell disaster. Analyst Paul Finebaum highlights this stretch as a defining test. Venables needs quick wins to avoid a crisis; his reputation, built on elite defenses, is on the line. Oklahoma expects championships, not mediocrity, making these first five games pivotal for Venables’ future.
0 DebateWhat’s your take on"Can Brent Venables survive Oklahoma's brutal SEC schedule, or is his tenure already doomed?"

In a bi-level red barn setback from a winding country road that weaves through the Central Ohio landscape
first generation farmer Brent Pence has built a corn and soy operation many never imagined would come to fruition
that we weren’t going to make this dream happen
and we’re still here,” says the easy-going farmer on a sun splashed
Folks in town had doubts because they knew Pence didn’t grow up on a farm or hit the genetic lottery by inheriting thousands of acres
His father spent his career as a skilled machinist in New Carlisle
a quaint rural enclave halfway between Dayton and Springfield
the infamous cat burglar John Dillinger commissioned his first bank heist there — nabbing a cool $10,000 from the New Carlisle National branch on Main Street
you can tell there is a fire fueling him beyond big scores and scale ticket dollar signs
After starting with 123 acres of rented ground from his longtime business mentor
today he calls the shots across 4,500 acres of cropland spread over a 50-mile radius
Pence jokingly refers to his area as the “Boulder Belt” due to its rock-filled
The college-grad-turned-row-crop-farmer speaks with a booming
rapid-fire cadence and bounces back and forth from what he’s excited about at the time to tales of hilarious adventures on the goat and livestock showing circuit with his wife
Pence was all fired up about his new approach to nitrogen management and application technology when we dropped in on him
Planting season was so close in his neck of the woods that you could almost taste the airborne soil dust dancing on the early spring breeze
Pence dove head first into late-season nitrogen on corn research
Convinced it would drive his yields higher and pay off
he got his hands on a Hagie high-clearance sprayer and went in at V13-V14 to spoon-feed nitrogen on 400 acres that first year
Before the Hagie came roaring into his life
he often steered a side dress rig to put nutrients on around V4-V5
“I don’t care who it is – whether it’s DeKalb
Channel or Pioneer – all of these hybrids today react to late-season nitrogen,” Pence says
“Most of the guys around here put anhydrous on and maybe do a side dress before they head to the lake
Pence saw a yield bump of 14 bushels per acre
He also noted hardier plants that better withstood the blustery mid-summer windstorms common to mid-Ohio
The corn is not cannibalizing itself anymore to make an ear
Now the nitrogen is right there where the plant can use it to make the ear,” he adds
Pence signed the papers on a brand new 2025 Hagie STS 16 from his local AgPro dealership
hulking graphite and yellow sprayer all summer long - the pilot seat his favorite throne of all
Tech ToolsAnother benefit Pence discovered – after running two passes over 350 acres of winter wheat this spring – is how easy it is to steer the new Hagie around his smaller
oddly shaped fields with a front-mounted boom
which turns off individual nozzles on the boom where it knows the sprayer has already applied
and you get why he’s so at home in this cab
He also says John Deere’s Boom Recirculation upgrade has saved him money and headaches

there’s this app I have on my phone.’ and she’s like
Brent has had to answer for his own periods of inactivity as well
And when Paige makes her return to the farm this summer from college
When she’s not out helping her customers win awards on the show animal circuit or breeding new goats for the future crop of customers
she’ll be on the farm helping out right next to mom and dad
That basically sums up Brent Pence: he loves his family and farming
and he’s always thinking about that next piece of machinery or technology that can give him a leg up on ol’ Mother Nature
the whole farming thing has been such a blessing,” Pence says

the Grateful Dead packed their gear and hit the road for the start of another tour with an opening night at the Charlotte Coliseum in Charlotte
What made this show so unique is that it marked the start of their first stretch with keyboardist Brent Mydland
who had just officially joined the Dead for his first show just a few weeks prior on April 22nd
The performance that night began with Bob Weir tearing into “Promised Land” before continuing with live Dead favorites “Brown Eyed Women” and “Me And My Uncle”
Although he’d be considered “the new guy” throughout his decade-long stint with the band
Brent sounded right at home with his voice shining through the speakers during the choral vocal section of “Row Jimmy” alongside Weir and Jerry Garcia
The first set would continue with “It’s All Over Now” and “Deal”

The band returned to start the second half of the show with “Samson and Delilah” and “Tennessee Jed” before tearing into a 12-minute “Terrapin Station” and right into an 18-minute “Playing In The Band”
the guitarists and Mydland left the stage to let Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart do their traditional “Drums” > “Space” portion of the show before returning for “Black Peter”
The set wrapped with “Not Fade Away” before returning to seven more minutes of “Playing In The Band”
The one song-encore consisted of “U.S

Not long after he announced plans for his next album with his band the Fixin's, Ain't Rocked In A While, Brent Cobb joined Loudwire Nights to dive into it and celebrate his deep love of all things rock and roll
Listen to the full conversation in the player near the end of this article
my uncle Brian would cover — what's the very first song on the very first album," Cobb said as he quickly answered his own question
"'Good Times Bad Times.' It fucked me up as a child
I just kind of grew up real close to it my whole life."
From Zeppelin, Cobb immersed himself in the world of Black Sabbath and that gave him a new perspective as a songwriter
The way the band could travel from heavy metal on one song to an almost completely different sound on another
all the while still sounding completely like Sabbath
opened Cobb's eyes to the importance of making good music rather than trying to make genre-specific music

"It's just always been a part of my DNA
both sides of it," Cobb said about his country and rock and roll roots
there's good stuff and there's shitty stuff
you can tell they care what they did and they care what they were saying whether that be lyrically or musically
And then there's folks that don't give a fuck — and sometimes that is the reason why something's good
if somebody doesn't give a damn enough."

BALTIMORE (WBFF) — A 23-year-old Baltimore County resident has been arrested in connection to an explosion that took place on Sunday near the rear parking lot of a Home Depot in Southeast Baltimore
The Baltimore Police Department announced on Wednesday morning the arrest of Brent Goetz for his alleged role in the explosion over the weekend
Patrol officers responded to the 6300 block of Eastern Avenue for a report of an explosion around 2 p.m
officers learned that "an unidentified male" detonated a device near the rear parking lot of the Home Depot
just south of the nearby Wendy's fast-food restaurant

Police say the man and the victims fled the location, and no injuries were reported.
Charging documents show that investigators found "debris and components of a device consistent with a TAG-67 Airsoft hand grenade" on the north side of the Home Depot parking lot. The documents note that the TAG-67 Airsoft hand grenade contains "explosive materials and pyrotechnic components."
Investigators said they were able to quickly identify Brent Goetz as the suspect wanted in connection to the case.
A Toyota Camry that lingered in the area before approaching a "group of Hispanic individuals who were in the area along a fence line to the west of Wendy's" caught their attention, court records state.
One of the people in that group told investigators that they had been in that part of the parking lot looking for work for hours. He said he noticed a light-colored sedan approach the group around 1:20 p.m. That's when a white male behind the wheel of the vehicle "threw an object with his left hand toward the group."
The witness "described hearing a loud noise resembling an explosion immediately after the object was thrown," according to the charging documents. Afterward, the sedan sped toward Eastern Avenue.
Court records state that there had been no verbal exchange between the person in the vehicle and the group waiting in the parking lot area.
Investigators showed him video footage of the Toyota Camry and he was able to positively identify it as the suspect vehicle. The license plate on the Toyota Camry led them to a home in the 3000 block of Ross Avenue, which is in the Sparrows Point area of Baltimore County. They found the vehicle parked next to that home.
After getting in touch with the man who owned the vehicle, investigators learned that it was primarily used by his son. The man noted that he had the Life360 app on his cell phone, which allowed him to track his family members via their cell phones at all times, according to the charging documents.
The man gave investigators consent to look at the cell phone location data for Goetz's cell phone. The location data they obtained showed Goetz going to and from the Home Depot on Sunday. He did not stop at any other locations, per court records.
This information allowed investigators to obtain a search and seizure warrants for the Toyota Camry and the Ross Avenue home.
Charging documents show that investigators found a pull pin for a TAG-67 Airsoft hand grenade on the driver's side floorboard of the car. They found additional Airsoft hand grenades in Goetz's bedroom.
Law enforcement officers arrested Goetz at the home that day.
Investigators allege in their charging documents that Goetz told them upon their arrival, "I know why you are here," and "They are just air soft grenades." He made those statements before they had the opportunity to question him, court records state.
Goetz was transported to the Baltimore Central Booking & Intake Center. He has been charged with possessing a destructive device and second-degree assault.

It’s an encouraging sign that the Bears are able to win these recruiting battles against major programs
Austin had a breakout campaign in his first season at South Florida
collected 48 tackles and 2 interceptions while leading USF with 10 pass breakups across 13 starts
it seems likely that he is a favorite to be one of the next starting cornerbacks

Concerts with Pyrotechnics are nothing new at Van Andel Arena
but fans of the band Shinedown got a fiery show when lead singer Brent Smith accidentally set himself on fire during a show in Monday night
Shinedown just kicked off their 2025 spring tour
and their stop in Grand Rapids was one of the first of the tour
you might have a few hiccups as you start to get the rhythm of your set
A Grand Rapids fan was filming at the right time to catch a close call moment when Brent Smith caught himself on fire via the band’s pyrotechnics
In a video posted to tiktok on Tuesday by user @apreve813
Shinedown was performing when Brent walked to the middle of the stage for a dramatic pyro moment
flexing in the coolest way in front of all of the flames
Brent must have forgotten the pattern of the flames for this part of the song
because he excitedly runs to the side of the stage to greet fans
only to meet the next blast of pyro head on (literally)
as the edges of his coat caught fire (very briefly) and makes a spectacular recovery before the next round of pyro blasts off again
Most people in the arena may have missed seeing this moment, thankfully, this fan had her camera going and posted the video online:
accidents happen even to the best of us when we’re excited and thankfully
And don’t worry- the band confirmed everything was okay in the comments:
So just another reminder if you love a band
go see them live when they come to your town

He had several jobs but the one he talked about most was when he was a security guard at USU where he had many interesting experiences and had many stories to tell
he still had a desire to work and got a job at Walmart for a short while.
Brent was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
He faced many challenges and struggles but overcame them
He had a spirit of determination and fortitude; never wanting to give up
he loved going to the temple until health issues prevented him from attending
His greatest desire before he passed was to go home

It's been an offseason of transition for the Oklahoma Sooners
OU has seen a ton of turnover on the offensive side of the ball
the Sooners finished 98th in the nation in scoring offense in 2024
But the other side of the ball has had some changes as well
This offseason also saw a change in defensive coordinator
One season for Zac Alley and now he's off to West Virginia
Instead of hiring someone to replace Alley
like Thanos when he took the Infinity Gauntlet from Asgard
I'll do it myself." Venables opted to take back the defensive playcalling duties after giving the reigns to Alley for a season
He called the plays at Oklahoma in 2023 after Ted Roof led the defense in 2022
The Sooners made a considerable jump in their final season in the Big 12
After another season in which the defense improved
247Sports' Carter Bahns is asking if Venables calling the defense will make a difference
In a piece where he asked one question for each team in the top 25
Bahns isn't sure that the change in defensive playcalling will be enough for Oklahoma to ascend from the doldrums of the SEC
Will Brent Venables' defensive play calls make a difference
An upgrade in defensive tactics only goes so far for the Sooners
as the offense accounts for greater issues
Venables handling the play-calling duties comes with upside
but it may not be enough to lift OU to the next level
Having a three time national champion winning defensive coordinator calling the plays for your defense will make a difference
Having one of the best defensive minds of the last 25 years calling the plays for your defense will make a difference
"Why am I going to call the defense? Because I'm good at it and I'm confident in it," Venables said earlier this spring
And if I'm going to be successful and the players are going to be successful
the product is going to be what we want it to be
it's going to take all of us," Venables said
He's had success at Oklahoma in two different stops and became arguably the top coordinator in college football during his time at Clemson
The defense wasn't the issue for the Sooners in 2024 and despite the losses of Danny Stutsman
it has a chance to be as good or better in 2025
That's because Venables has been executing his vision on the recruiting trail and in the transfer portal to bring in the talent that's going to make his defense among the best in college football
But this year will be different than last year
The Oklahoma defense will actually get a little bit of help from a vastly improved offense
And that is what will make the biggest difference for the Oklahoma Sooners

playing baseball and was set up to graduate in 1992.
Brent truly enjoyed his career in transportation management
but years in Colorado and Virginia as well.
Brent loved his mom and played countless cribbage games
winning their very last cribbage tournament that they were able to play
He was often seen driving her to watch some live music at various venues.
Elders would snicker as he ran the table or shot the moon
He could also appreciate a little competition in golfing and bowling
Competitiveness may have ran in his family
Not nearly enough game nights… Sayin'.

Brent is preceded in death by his father Richard Arthur Cole and his stepfather Gerald John Teige.
We may plan to have a celebration of Brent's life at a later date.
Oklahoma head football coach Brent Venables signs autographs during the University of Oklahoma Sooners Crimson Combine at Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman
a storm of expectations has been building as the upcoming season casts a long shadow over Coach Venables’ future
The pressure mounting on him is relentless
with a challenging record of 22 wins and 17 losses over three turbulent years
including two seasons that ended with a disappointing 6-7 mark
This performance summary has fueled a growing impatience among the devoted Oklahoma supporters who envisioned a championship-caliber team from the outset
The leadership mantle entrusted to Venables was never meant to settle for mediocrity
Fans had hoped for a transformative tenure characterized by bold
decisive victories that would elevate the program to national prominence
the mismatch between lofty aspirations and the on-field outcomes has ignited fierce debate
The Sooners’ move into the SEC has only amplified the scrutiny
unmasking issues that extend far beyond mere win-loss statistics and spotlighting the challenges of competing at the highest level
At the center of this fervor lies a monumental $44 million safety net—a hefty contract provision designed to buffer the head coach from the unpredictability of high-stakes competition
has become emblematic of the high expectations and the risks that come with navigating the elite landscape of college football
It illustrates the fine line between securing talent and ensuring accountability when the price tag is so steep
known for its intense competition and rigorous standards
has added another layer of complexity to Venables’ challenge
The heightened atmosphere of the conference demands not just tactical brilliance but also an unwavering commitment to excellence
As the team prepares to face its seasoned adversaries
there is an acute awareness that every game will test the limits of their endurance and strategy
underscoring the critical nature of this new era
The evolving story of Coach Venables serves as a potent reminder of the intricate balance between ambition and accountability in the world of sports
With the eyes of a passionate fan base fixed on every move
the choices made in the coming season may well define a legacy marked by either triumphant resurgence or a cautionary tale of unmet potential
the broader implications prompt reflection: when the stakes are this high

before the 2024 season ever officially kicked off
Virginia Tech seemed like a program that was trending up under Pry
They finished the 2023 season strong and were returning a ton of starters from that team and seemingly had a favorable schedule in front of them
They were talked about as the dark horse to win the ACC and make the college football playoff
but it wasn't long before that was proven to be false
The Hokies started the season with an upset loss to Vanderbilt
and had the controversial loss to Miami to drop them to 2-3
After rallying to win three straight to get to 5-3 and still have a shot at the ACC Championship
including the bowl game to Minnesota last Friday
Not only was this season very disappointing
but the Hokies are losing most of their contributors from this team to the transfer portal or the draft
They have worked to fill those holes in the portal and quarterback Kyron Drones is coming back
but there is not as much optimism heading into the 2025 season compared to a year ago
All of that has led to speculation about head coach Brent Pry being on the hot seat going into 2025
and 6-7 in his three seasons in Blacksburg and in a recent ranking of the ACC's head coaches
USA Today's Blake Toppmeyer ranked Pry 15th out of 17 coaches in the ACC:
the Justin Fuente days look OK compared to this
they must ask themselves what they think their program can be
Previous coaches showed it can be more than this – with this being a fight to finish above .500
Pry is 1-12 in one-possession games after three seasons
and Miami's Mario Cristobal were ranked as the top five coaches
while Virginia's Tony Elliott and Stanford interim head coach Frank Reich were the only two coaches ranked lower than Pry
ESPN's Adam Rittenberg listed Pry as a coach on the hot seat going into 2025 and listed him in the "Don't backslide" category alongside Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman
"The hot-seat talk bubbled up around Pry in November
and if the Commonwealth Cup had gone differently
Virginia Tech could have had a decision to make after a disappointing fall
Pry's second consecutive 6-6 regular season got him to a bowl game
but he will enter Year 4 with a new defensive coordinator and a staff that will include former longtime Hokies DC Bud Foster as an advisor/analyst.Pry is halfway through his contract and Virginia Tech isn't in the best position to eat a seven-figure buyout
Virginia Tech should be more competitive in a very winnable ACC
especially with quarterback Kyron Drones back
The Hokies have eclipsed seven wins just once since 2017."
Will Pry need to improve upon his record in 2025 to be ensured of another season in Blacksburg
Virginia Tech opens the season against South Carolina in Atlanta and the Gamecocks are likely going to start the season with a lofty ranking
but it is not a murderers row of a schedule
the Hokies need to see some progress next season

Arizona State football picked up a pair of offensive line transfers on Monday in Iowa State twins Brent and Wade Helton, Matt Zenitz of 247 Sports reported
Their additions mark the first for the Sun Devils in the spring transfer portal
Both brothers redshirted as freshmen in Ames without any snaps in 2024 after coming in as three-star recruits out of Corona Centennial High
Both considered Arizona State in their initial recruitments
Wade, the older twin by 18 minutes, was the higher-rated prospect at No. 969 overall and No. 72 among offensive tackles, according to the 247 Sports composite ranking. Brent was No. 1,326 overall and No
Although Wade has the age advantage over Brent
the younger lineman carries the weight advantage at 6-foot-5
Offensive line appeared to be the position with the most room for added depth during ASU’s spring camp
were the starters from last year to man spots again this spring
Right tackle Max Iheanachor also returns and is a projected 2026 NFL Draft pick
but he missed spring camp with an arm injury that isn’t expected to limit him this fall
Redshirt sophomore Sean Na’a and senior transfer Jimeto Obigbo (Texas State) split most of the reps at left guard
but the younger Na’a appeared to have the edge at camp’s conclusion
At the time the Helton twins entered the portal, Alec Busse of Cyclone Alert wrote they had been expected to compete for snaps in the fall with added versatility from learning guard and center
Kenny Dillingham mentioned “snappers” as an area he wanted to address when the spring portal first opened
young players at the position who have developed and impressed behind the starters include Terrell Kim

Georgia Tec head coach Brent Key has done a pretty remarkable job of turning the program
who never won more than three games in a season
Key has made bowl games in back-to-back seasons
including winning the Gasparilla Bowl at the end of the 2023 season
He has made a reputation of having his team ready to play in the biggest games
evidenced by upset wins over ranked teams such as Miami
not to mention taking rival Georgia to eight ovetimes last season in a game that the Yellow Jackets had multiple chances to win
While it can be tough to rank college football head coaches
USA Today's Blake Toppmeyer had Key amongst the best in the ACC:
"Key beat Cristobal in back-to-back seasons and took down Norvell last year
and his Yellow Jackets nearly toppled Georgia
He transformed the roster with significantly better recruiting hauls than Georgia Tech previously experienced
He’s 14-12 through his first two full seasons
but all signs indicate Key is the right hire to elevate this program."
and Miami's Mario Cristobal ranked ahead of Key
Stanford interim head coach Frank Reich was ranked last
After being named the head coach following the 2022 season
Key went to work in trying to build a winning team and program
He landed Haynes King in the transfer portal and hired Buster Faulkner away from Georgia to be the offensive coordinator
The Yellow Jackets would pull off more ranked wins in 2023
beating Miami on a miraculous last-second play and beating North Carolina for a second consecutive season
He led his team to a win over Syracuse in November which clinched the Yellow Jackets' first bowl bid since 2018
Key got the Yellow Jackets within eight points of No
the first time that single digits had decided game since the Yellow Jackets last victory in the series in 2016
Georgia Tech would end the 2023 season with a win in the Gasparilla Bowl over UCF
giving them a winning season and their first bowl win since 2016
This season has a chance to be Key's best as well
The Yellow Jackets are getting a lot of buzz as a potential dark horse contender in the ACC
which could men a potential run at the playoff
The Yellow Jackets are bringing back veteran players on both sides of the ball
they have a good recruiting class and transfer class
and the schedule is very favorable for the first time in years
They have to earn it and find more consistency (Key's biggest weakness so far)
but the chance is there for Georgia Tech to contend in the ACC in 2025
