While Amen Thompson did a great job of defending him it can’t be denied that his thumb complication is also a factor Like Broussard, Nick Wright didn’t also find anything wrong or malicious about how Brooks tries to contest Curry “It’s very well documented that I’m not a fan of Dillon Brooks I’ve called him a dangerous player—someone who goes far beyond gamesmanship into truly reckless basketball I think it’s just part of sports,” he said You can’t have Steph on the ground and be like Let me step on it.’ That’s crossing into dirty play But I’ve got to be fair and honest about what I believe: I don’t think this crosses the line.” It remains to be seen if the league will look at this incident between Curry and the Rockets both sides are just trying to make the most out of their chances to win with the Warriors just one victory away from advancing heading to Game 6 this May 2 We have the address for the funeral home & the family on file If you're not happy with your card we'll send a replacement or refund your money The family of Donnie Broussard created this Life Tributes page to make it easy to share your memories Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursd.. screens in Lafayette Parish but this theater was just not able to compete The closure was followed by the company’s purchase of the theater’s partner and the reclamation of the property where the theater was located and we’ve been entertaining prospects to repurpose that site,” Hebert explained Hebert shared that repurposing the building proved to be impractical and costly where we got in the building with architects and engineers and it just simply is just too expensive and not practical,” Hebert said While the decision to demolish was not an easy one Hebert views it as an opportunity for a fresh start instead of a development that was centered around the building now we have a free space to take that eight acres and divide it up in any way for prospects that wanna be located there,” he explained presents Hebert’s company with the potential for various commercial developments “There’s so much that has changed in terms of HVAC that even if you can re-purpose the structure you almost have to put in completely new mechanical systems Hebert expressed that the company plans to parcel out the site to maximize frontage options “I think it’s most likely that site will be developed with multiple tenants three maybe four tenants on that site,” he said The company is also open to various development ideas from commercial ventures to residential properties so there could be a residential element,” Hebert suggested “There’s a lot of sentimental value to the people in and around Broussard with the theater and unfortunately it’s gotta happen,” he reflected The demolition is set to take place in the coming weeks and Hebert remains optimistic about the future of the location as he believes it represents the beginning of a new chapter for the site one that will reshape the area in a way that caters to modern needs and growth Long ago I began to write a letter in the unfortunate event that I would not be able to attend your wedding but I never finished it because I told myself that I would have plenty of “time” But now I am here writing a letter that would hopefully represent how much you mean to me and all those who were fortunate enough to have ever met you then you would describe her as “incredibly special” You had a way of making everyone absolutely love you It might have even been the “my way or the highway” approach Your kindness has touched every soul that you have ever met I will always remember the caring daughter who tucks her father in for bed The filial daughter who boils a kettle of water so mom would have a cup of warm water in the afternoon The big sister in you who loves her siblings so dearly Even though the pain that we are feeling is immense I know that like all things this pain is temporary I find comfort knowing that your spirit has moved on to where you are no longer suffering please continue to chant AMIDAPHAT and we will meet again in the western pure land Thank you for being my best friend and allowing me to have The 17-year-old Seattle-area native comes from a skiing family. He was raised to be a ski racer, but spending time in the ski resort city of Sun Valley led him to a different sporting passion. “My family used to be big on skiing. We were, like, very much a skiing family, and I went to Sun Valley to ski race,” he told Olympics.com in an exclusive interview prior to Skate America in mid-October. “There’s a good ski camp there, and there’s also a very, very beautiful – and pretty famous – ice rink there. I went for fun, and I didn’t really think about it very much. “I just kept coming back,” he continued, “and then, when I moved back to Seattle, I didn’t want to stop, and it sort of took off from there.” In the beginning, it might not have been what his family envisioned. “At first, I don’t think [they took it] very well,” Broussard says with a laugh. “They weren’t, like, upset; I think they were just like, bummer. One door closes, another one opens.” That open door has taken him all the way to a junior U.S. title in the 2022-23 season and a seventh-place finish at the Junior Worlds in the same season. “[My family] is pretty proud of me. They’re very supportive of whatever I choose to do with my skating career,” said Broussard. “They’re definitely on board with it.” The challenges have grown a bit since that initial decision Broussard faced an SI joint injury that held him out of his senior national debut last season “It still hurts quite a bit from time to time,” he admits Broussard says his return to the ice has been very much a gradual process that included at least two months without practicing the difficult quadruple jumps required at the highest level His coaches Darin Hoiser and Corrie Martin have been steadying influences they’ve pushed him to do hard things throughout his career “There’s good pushing and bad pushing; they never push me to do things that could hurt me or that could injure me,” he explained “But they do push me to train the programs with cardio “I feel pushed by [Martin] in a way that makes what I’m doing in the moment hard but it makes what I do in the future easier,” said Broussard The 2024-25 season has come with its own set of challenges – including a disappointing 10th-place finish at his senior Grand Prix debut at Skate America As Broussard continues to push forward to January’s U.S resetting will simply be one more hard thing to persevere through Just like he already has in his burgeoning career passed away peacefully on the evening of Monday Michael was a proud graduate of Lamar University in Beaumont He was a distinguished alumnus of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity forming lifelong bonds and memories with his fraternity brothers As the longtime owner of Superior Tire & Service and impact in his profession and his community Michael was a longtime mentor and coach of girls’ soccer with the Spindletop Select Soccer Club in Beaumont he coached his daughters in soccer for many years fostering not only their love for the game but also their growth as individuals Michael cherished the outdoors and found joy in spending time with his family and friends he brought warmth and care to everyone around him Michael was a true example of selflessness dedicating his life to giving and serving others He found joy in helping anyone in need and touched countless lives
