including first-degree assault out of Canon City was arrested in Colorado Springs on Wednesday evening
The Canon City Police Department reportedly requested the help of the U.S
Marshals and Colorado Violent Offender Task Force to find 50-year-old Stephen Garrett
Police said Garrett was found in the 800 block of Garner St.
He was arrested by Colorado US Marshals in cooperation with Colorado Springs Police tactical units
Garrett was being held in the El Paso County Jail
Garrett was also wanted for possession of a weapon by a previous offender and menacing
