She got the call in February that Randy’s RV had been destroyed in an explosion and he was taken to the hospital

"He hasn't really been able to talk to us so he hasn't been able to tell us what exactly happened
She says she never thought this would happen because her dad knew the ins and outs of using propane
and hopes this will remind others to be careful
"I just want to make sure people are being very safe when they use propane,” said Baker
Baker’s goal now is to raise money to help her father get his life back together and get back to what he loves
"I would like to hopefully raise him a little bit of money to help replace everything he lost,” said Baker
and his boat got quite a bit of repairs to do on that

A Coweta business is recovering after a fire destroyed parts of its building
Coweta Fire says the cause is still under investigation
The co-op has been supplying farmers and ranchers since 1951
offering everything from fertilizer to feed to machinery
Store manager Jon Harmon had just left the store on Feb
He said a manager of a nearby restaurant saw the smoke around 5:30 in the evening and called it in
He then called Harmon and told him the building was on fire
Coweta and several other agencies responded and quickly contained the fire
and I knew something was wrong," said Harmon
The fire broke out just behind Harmon's office
The majority of the damage is in the store's warehouse which stocks feed
In addition to scorched walls and a blackened interior
the roof and some steel beams also need to be replaced
Harmon says it's basically a complete loss
and no one was in the store at the time of the fire
Since the front of the store isn't too bad
Harmon says the first priority is to get the electricity back on so they can at least start selling some things again
The business is currently working with insurance for the next steps
customers who depend on the store are temporarily going to have to travel elsewhere to get what they need

What began as a creative outlet for Lori Lenhart has transformed into a mission to help others
Lori first picked up a brush to refresh her own home
"I have probably painted every room in my house three times
I have run out of things to paint in my house,” Lenhart said
With her own walls and even her two daughters’ homes completely redone
Lenhart started refurbishing vintage furniture
Lenhart has donated one to two pieces of furniture a month
She pays for everything herself and never charges a dime
but it’s even better than that because my hobby has turned into a thing that's able to bless others,” Lenhart said
she’s stockpiling pieces to get them ready for the next family in need
She even tailors each piece to the recipient’s style
"I send them pictures of my paint samples for them to pick out for their home and match their styles so it's a piece they love and feel comfortable with,” Lenhart said

COWETA, Okla. — Coweta's city council only meets once a month but set made significant plans in its March 3 meeting
the fire department will get a new custom file rescue engine
Chief Brian Woodward told 2 News the efficiency offered with the vehicle will outweigh its cost
the firefighters can have their gear on," the chief said
"They can be where they get out of the truck (and) they have it on
A $220,000 city-sponsored community garden is also officially in the works at East Cypress Street and North Delaware Avenue
at a plot of land once designated for a parking lot."You might also take a certain percentage out and we would give it to those in our community that are less fortunate
that aren't able to grow their own vegetables," City of Coweta community development director Carolyn Back said to the council during the item's presentation
"Maybe they're home bound or maybe they're between jobs and they don't have finances coming in to buy fresh
Another one-time parking lot at South Broadway and Ash Street next to City Hall will flip to a city park and plaza
designed for a rotating food truck selection
A mural on the brick wall of the city hall building would also be painted
The council was unanimous in its support for the $400,000 plan
"I think this is great," Mayor Naomi Hogue said before the council approved the project
I know we're doing the markets on Chestnut but maybe it could be moved a little closer to have people to utilize this as food trucks
and have people come and sit and walk around."
"(The food truck park) would probably be good for the community
especially you know people who don't have any vehicles
that walk," lifelong Coweta resident Judy Adams told 2 News.Adams and her dogs live next to the planned park
Adams said she herself lived on the lot the park is planned for
until the land was cleared and she moved next door
"People park there (on the patch of land)," Adams said
The city council also moved to allow construction of a funeral home and crematory owned by Schaudt Funeral Service
It later voted to approve a permit taking effect in April for alcohol consumption at Coweta Youth Sports Ball Park during game nights of the adult softball league
Councilors noted that it would intend to revoke the permit after the first reported incident involving alcohol
(Atlanta News First) - A former Coweta County Sheriff’s Deputy was arrested and charged Saturday after he apparently used excessive force against an inmate at the Coweta County Jail

Assisting officers witnessed the incident and Woods was booked into Coweta County Jail
