Dedham punched its ticket to the MIAA Division 4 State Championship next Sunday at the TD Garden for the first time in the program’s history after a 5-0 semifinal win over Hudson
The Marauders exploded for five goals in the second period in impressive fashion and the defense was key
Senior captain Noel Adams continues to be the backbone in net and played outstanding yet again
the teams were still getting a feel for each other as it was back and forth action with the shots being nine apiece
Dedham got on the board first with a goal off the stick of freshman Julian Larrabee
junior Patrick Stamm tapped home a loose puck in front to quickly make it 2-0
Dedham continued to control play as the period went on and with 5:44 left on the clock
senior Tim Holton sniped one past Hudson goalie Brandon Garzia to put Dedham in front 3-0
The Marauders were not done there as with a little over a minute left senior Ryan Laughter scored and with one second left in the period Holton netted his second of the game
The third period was scoreless as Dedham’s defense shut down Hudson en route to the big 5-0 win
in convincing fashion to reach the MIAA Division 4 State Championship at the TD Garden next Sunday
The Vikings stunned the Spartans scoring twice in the first period and being in full control of the game
Since needing triple overtime to get by 28th-seeded Apponequet in the first round
Littleton and now Stoneham en route to their championship appearance
A big part of their success comes from senior captain goalie Mike Donahue
who has been terrific all season and even better in the tournament
The Vikings came out flying from the second the puck dropped and got first period tallies from senior captain Mike Holgersen and sophomore Joe Pumphret to take a 2-0 lead
senior captain Phil Boncore made it 3-0 on a powerplay goal and the Vikings were not done
Stoneham did get one back on a Daniel DiPrizio tally
but 30 seconds later Boncore gave Winthrop its three-goal lead back with his second of the game.
Junior Nick Romano sealed the win with a goal later in the period as the Vikings shutdown Stoneham’s offense for the remainder of the game.

Just over a minute into the second period of the MIAA Division 4 boys state title
6 Dedham appeared to break the stalemate for a 1-0 lead over the No
Marauders senior forward Brian Dunne set his edges and drove to the front of the net in a 1-on-1
deking to his backhand and seemingly tucking it home for the lead
But the officials conferred and went to video review
The net had come off before Dunne put the puck over the line
It took no time for Winthrop to capitalize on the momentum swing
senior captain Michael Holgersen got the Vikings on the board
Senior captain Philip Boncore drove to the slot through multiple defenders before sliding a backhand feed to Holgersen as he was taken down
and Holgersen finished an easy one-timer to make it 1-0 just 1:28 into the second
Winthrop never looked back as Holgersen finished with a hat trick en route to the program's second title and their first since 1976
Senior captain Michael Donahue had a 22-save shutout in net for the Vikings (12-6-2)

Mary Ellen drove past today's weekly Tesla Takedown in front of the Dedham showroom
with protesters now spread from the Lenscrafters parking lot
past the Hooters and the Tesla showroom and service center and beyond even the Dunkin' parking lot
Compare to the first Dedham protest, in February
attended the Tesla Takedown outside the showroom in the Prudential Center in the Back Bay:
Like the job UHub is doing? Consider a contribution
It was a peaceful & democratic protest that lasted one hour
Not heavily reported on because nothing crazy happens
I realized that Elon is essentially Lord Business
and I really should have used that as the theme on my protest sign
By Steeve Sun
Thank god we are peaceful and democratic in the face of all this
Thankfully things that actually change things
like doing “crazy” things (and protesting for more than one hour(?!?!)
aren’t happening and this is just liberals patting themselves on the back
Make sure to thank the police for their work
when the protest is over and also to rib your many conservative friends in the group chat about the orange man and his nazi saluting friend that you all helped elevate into a household name
By SwirlyGrrl Sun
In the words of Billy Bragg: "You're a dedicated swallower of fascism" if you are doing nothing to counteract the tsunami of hate
And if these protests are not changing anything
why is Elmo crying his eyes out because Tim Walz was soooo mean about the drop in Tesla stock prices
Why are drumpf and Pam Barbie now trying to criminalize these demonstrations
Musk would be Lucius Malfoy-EVIL but a coward too
Although I personally do not agree with these protests
I also must say that the manner you describe in which they are being conducted sounds perfectly in accord with the Constitution to me and the right of the people to "peaceably assemble and to petition the government for a redress of grievances"
the people who are going around wantonly damaging people's property (i.e
Teslas) smugly thinking they are making some kind of statement

I'm physically unable to attend protests and very much appreciate those who do
I too am physically unable to to join you but admire what you are doing

Next Saturday's protest will be small because we've been asked to go to the Common for the rally there at 11
Tesla protests will continue as usual at noon on April 12
not vandalizing property or harassing Tesla owners who may have purchased their vehicles before this mess started
I think another form of protest would be deleting X/Twitter accounts but I doubt social media addicts would be able to do this
By Bob Leponge Mon
One exception : Nobody with a Cybertruck bought it “before this mess started.” By the time the Cybertruck became available

I am grateful and thankful these guys are out there
If you can't make it to one of these or even if you can
including ESG funds (even though they were contracted to develop military vehicles??)
and I had a nice time chatting with others
Lots of support from drivers going by (and a few who were not supportive
I'll just be sure to bring more layers next time; it was unexpectedly chilly
They were (understandably) not allowing us to park in nearby lots (such as the Hooters and Verizon stores)
because we would have taken up all the spaces
just Musk and things the current administration is doing
If you like what we're up to and want to help out
please consider a (completely non-deductible) contribution

these are the words John Wilkes Booth shouted after he shot Abraham Lincoln
Booth was a Confederate sympathizer and saw Lincoln's war against the southern rebels as a policy of tyranny
because he bypasses Congress and rules by decree
and because he defies federal court orders
even if most Americans haven't yet grasped that reality
this dictatorship has the support of a plurality of American voters
There may be people with the power to remove it by extraconstitutional means
but that would mean substituting another dictatorship for this one
I see no way out of this dilemma but the passage of years
Franco's dictatorship in Spain and Salazar's in Portugal lasted decades; Putin's in Russia has lasted a quarter of a century with no end in sight
The trend toward right-wing nationalist tyranny is apparent in countries as diverse as Italy
Across the world an ill wind is blowing that will blow no one any good

Just hearing the word “melty” brings a sense of warmth
It’s the name of a fast-casual restaurant that opened in Dedham last fall dedicated to the ultimate comfort food: grilled cheese sandwiches
The humble grilled cheese is taken to new heights at Melty with 15 varieties featuring melted cheeses over layers of fillings oozing between toasty bread
a BBQ brisket melt’s burnt ends is smothered under pepper jack and cheddar
topped with caramelized onions and sweet barbecue sauce; a patty melt with Angus beef
and cheese seeps from the toasted brioche bun; a caprese melt with mozzarella
has a sprinkle of Parmesan that forms a slight crust on the toasty bread
A classic grilled cheese is made with four different cheeses — provolone
The sandwiches are cooked on a tray in a pizza oven rather than a griddle
letting the high heat evenly crisp the buttered bread
There’s dipping sauces as well as freshly made tomato basil soup and other soups to pair with your choice
and cookie butter sandwiched between crisped bread
