execution-style killings of his live-in girlfriend The crime happened at their home in Okaloosa County in Florida He was sentenced after being convicted in 2001 on four counts of first-degree murder after evidence revealed he fatally shot each victim with a shotgun Hutchinson made a chilling 911 call following the killings “I just shot my family,” though he later claimed intruders were responsible While Hutchinson received a life sentence for Flaherty’s murder the court imposed the death sentence for the killings of each child citing the brutality of the crime and the vulnerability of the children and Hutchinson was found at the home with gunshot residue on his hands Hutchinson was born in Alaska, raised in Kettle Falls and later moved to Deer Park who fought in Desert Storm and became his family’s “hero,” eventually took a job in the mid-1990s as a security guard for Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center Robert Hutchinson said his brother took on Flaherty’s kids like they were his own noting how he would take them to barbecues and other outings The couple prepared to move from Deer Park to Crestview when Jeffrey Hutchinson decided he wanted to start a motorcycle shop Flaherty’s brother Wes Elmore said he hugged his only sister and her three kids goodbye He remembers telling Jeffrey Hutchinson: “Take care of my sister and her kids.” The prosecution argued the killings were calculated highlighting that Hutchinson had time to reflect after a fight with Flaherty where he left the house to go to a bar and returned to commit the murders Prosecutors emphasized the deliberate method used and the horror Geoffrey experienced as he saw his family slain before he was shot twice Hutchinson’s defense team contended that he was intoxicated and claimed two intruders were responsible They also cited his Gulf War service and mental health issues is an unexplained illness of veterans who served in the 1991 Gulf War One of the symptoms of the illness includes running for years to come and we need to replace these two classrooms; we can’t function without these two classrooms,” said Deer Park School Board of Trustees Chair Cindy Barnes Deer Park School is asking voters to approve a $4 million bond on May 6 to replace the Quonset Hut and office buildings that are running out of space “One of the biggest components of learning music in the beginning is being able to move and feel the rhythm and feel the beat and unfortunately based on the size of the building we just don’t have a lot of room to let the kids run around,” said Deer Park School Music Teacher Paul Bruce Bruce teaches music in one of two classrooms that occupy the Quonset Hut we had about 30 band students in here with instruments and I actually had to rearrange the room to be able to fit them all in here,” said Bruce The Quonset Hut was donated to the school in the 1960s and is used for art and music classes The building is a converted gym and has no windows things are starting to fall apart,” said Deer Park School parent Ashley Young Young has two children attending Deer Park School and is worried about their safety “I want to know that my kids are safe here that the staff is safe here and I want to know that it will be around for my kids for the duration of their time here.” a new building over 6,000 square feet would be constructed that would double the amount of existing classrooms from two to four The building would also serve as the new administrative office space “We have a cot for a sick bay over by the copier we are always doing the juggle,” said Deer Park School District Clerk Gina Smith Smith said the current office building was built in the 1930s and is running out of space “So the bathroom does double as like the nurses’ station it doubles as a janitor’s closet,” said Smith a home with a taxable value of $300,000 would see annual taxes increase by an estimated $243 a year More information can be found here. Here the indigenous American ingredients of potatoes peppers and tomatoes are seasoned with soy sauce and then stir-fried Instead of ordering my lomo saltado the traditional way I enjoyed it in the form of the Burrito Inkazteka ($16.99) lomo saltado (complete with the french fries and jasmine rice) is stuffed and rolled into a flour tortilla and served on a festive yellow platter The enormous burrito is burnished with shimmering chipotle sauce that adds a layer of smoky flavor If you'd like a little more spice with your meal ask for a side of the restaurant's green hot sauce – which should satisfy even the most ardent heat freak – then wash it all down with a refreshing pineapple soda My guess is that you'll be revisiting this shopping center secret sooner than later A double-stacked American cheeseburger at Paper Plate in Deer Park Paper Plate, a smashburger and chicken concept that debuted at Williamsburg’s Smorgasburg food hall in 2022 It was the shop's first brick-and-mortar restaurant Similar to the West Coast’s In-and-Out, Paper Plate was an everyman joint that served burgers with all the fixings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, American cheese, grilled onions and, of course, special sauce on a potato bun. RELATED: Harris County Commissioner Garcia calls out PEMEX’s response in deadly gas leak In the CSB’s recently released investigative report it’s revealed that the two workers who died from the gas leak were about 250 feet away from the release moments before the leak “The two boilermakers disconnected their supplied air connections to flee from the area,” the report read “One boilermaker turned the valve to engage air flow from his escape cylinder and proceeded down a nearby ladder to the primary assembly point The other boilermaker collapsed near the top of the ladder and was found by emergency responders with his respirator mask lying next to him fatally injured from hydrogen sulfide poisoning.” The report went on to note “PEMEX Deer Park did not require the ISC workers to wear respiratory protection for their permitted work and they did not have escape respirators.” CSB concluded its update noting the investigation remains ongoing and are working to gather additional facts and analyze several key areas including “safe work practices turnaround and maintenance policies and procedures.” Here’s a full view of the updated investigative report expert on "The Simpsons," amateur photographer film & tv reviewer and race/religious identity scholar Joined KPRC 2 in Spring 2024 but has been featured in various online newspapers and in the Journal of South Texas' Fall 2019 issue This website is using a security service to protect itself from online attacks The action you just performed triggered the security solution There are several actions that could trigger this block including submitting a certain word or phrase You can email the site owner to let them know you were blocked Please include what you were doing when this page came up and the Cloudflare Ray ID found at the bottom of this page We recognise you are attempting to access this website from a country belonging to the European Economic Area (EEA) including the EU which enforces the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and therefore cannot grant you access at this time e-mail us at sports@nonstoplocal.com or call us at 509-448-4656 e-mail us at q6news@khq.com or call us at 509-448-6000 Executive Circle Awards Two new tenants to open at Tanger Outlets Deer Park  Sign up for your daily digest of Long Island Business News Listen to this article Long Island Business News has announced that it has chosen this year’s winn[...] The financial landscape of Long Island continues to evolve through the leadership of the remarkable [...] Long Island’s business landscape contains a remarkable tapestry of organizations that have stood t[...] Celebrate International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month by showcasing the extraordinary wo[...] Listen to this article Lorraine Gregory Communications will be holding a blood drive at its Edgewood[...] Long Island lost 3,100 construction jobs year-over-year in March ending a 12-month streak of gains,[...] Kids Empire and My Gym are opening at Mayfair Shopping Center in Commack Chick-fil-A opens its 12th Long Island location in East Meadow creating 80 jobs and supporting loca[...] Realty Three plans $120M South Village at Station Crossings with 273 rentals Amazon plans to purchase 26.7 acres of Massapequa’s Sunrise Mall site to build a new South Shore d[...] Our mission at Long Island Business News is to be the vital business news and advertising source to Long Island’s most influential readers Get our free LIBN e-alerts & breaking news notifications Subscribe for access to the latest digital and special editions Show Breaking News BarCloseLocal NewsGage Goulding Oscar Chavez DEER PARK, Texas – The sole cause of the Deer Park pipeline explosion and fire has been identified: the car that crashed into the pipeline A recently shared report from the Texas Railroad Commission the state agency tasked with regulating pipelines shows that the pipeline had zero safety violations goes in-depth on the timeline leading up to the crash and the work that took place to get the pipeline back online in less than a week Report - Investigation Report (Incident) INSPPKG-0000102871 by Gage Goulding on Scribd crashed into the pipeline off Spencer Highway on Sept According to investigators, McEvoy crashed into the pipeline on purpose.
