Ellie’s (Bella Ramsey) quest for revenge is leading her somewhere far more dangerous than she could’ve possibly imagined
that danger gets a face: Jeffrey Wright’s Isaac Dixon
Isaac gets a hell of an introduction via a prologue set in 2018—ten years before the events of this season
he is visibly irritated by his reports using “voters” as a slur for civilians
He tells the men riding with him in the armored vehicle that the term dates back to when the federal government took away the public’s right to vote in response to the threat of the cordyceps infection
a linguistic reminder of authority’s slide into fascism
It seems like Isaac has had enough of all that
When his transport is stopped by a bunch of civilians
he instructs all but one—the youngest of the soldiers
the only one who doesn’t understand how “voters” became a slur—to stay in the truck
Isaac subsequently shakes hands with a woman who came out to meet him
and tells the boy beside him to make a choice: Join or die
the version of it that Ellie is about to meet
We are reintroduced to him mid-interrogation
as he rhapsodizes about the difference between copper and cast iron cookware for retaining heat
He’s doing this because he’s holding hostage a Seraphite
whom he intends to burn until he learns the cult’s next target
It’s a mean snapshot of how things are in Seattle: Both the WLF and the Seraphites are locked in a conflict that neither side can remember the origin of
an endless cycle of violence that no one in charge seems interested in ending
Isaac (also portrayed by Wright) gets a lot of backstory divulged in documents you can find throughout the game
Players can piece together how he cofounded the WLF with four others who were dissidents fed up with FEDRA’s tyrannical rule over Seattle
eventually expelling the government by force and consolidating Seattle's population in the SoundView Stadium (based on Lumen Field
the real-life home of the Seattle Seahawks)
He is controversial for his bloodthirsty warmongering over the Seraphites
and his iron grip on Seattle’s population doesn’t seem that different from FEDRA’s overreach
But Isaac has also undeniably kept the people of Seattle safe
and that uncomfortable mix of fear and reassurance is what keeps him in power
due to the structure of The Last of Us Part II
none of this is going to become clear until the story swings over to Abby’s (Kaitlyn Dever) perspective further down the line
her commanding officer—and it’s also through her eyes that viewers might have the opportunity to see how the regular
non-militia citizens of Seattle are living under the WLF regime
(The SoundView Stadium is an interesting counterpoint to the community in Jackson.)
that the rest of it is focused on the budding romance between Ellie and Dina (Isabela Merced)
Each finds something of some consequence: Dina gets some pregnancy tests to privately confirm a suspicion that she’s expecting
thanks to her brief fling with Jesse (Young Mazino)
sweetly playing “Take on Me” as Dina joins her for a private concert
taught her how to play—which gives the close viewer a moment to consider the things about the pre-apocalyptic world that these young people are and aren’t familiar with
knows about the Apollo space missions in great detail
These details—and the aforementioned A-ha song—all come straight from the game
and are great bits of heartbreaking contextualization
they came of age in a world of horror and are choosing to wade further into it
Stumbling across a WLF patrol massacred by Seraphites
and Dina sees it—which leads to a fraught moment when they finally take shelter in an abandoned theater and Dina holds Ellie at gunpoint
she doesn't believe it when Ellie tells her that she’s immune
and spends the night twitchily watching over her
and confesses her own secret: Not just that she’s pregnant
but that seeing Ellie bitten made her realize she was going to lose the life Dina had imagined with her
Ellie tries to convince Dina that she doesn’t need to come along on this journey of revenge
It’s not clear yet if either of them realize how much bigger the WLF is compared to what they thought they’d be facing
I'm gonna be a dad,” she jokes the night before.) Dina
and tells her they're doing this together—for better or worse

They would not get to do it a fifth time, as the Cleveland Browns selected Sanders with their fifth round pick
Sanders fell behind quarterbacks Jaxson Dart
Jalen Milroe and Dillon Gabriel before his selection
and he was projected to be selected before all four such players
Now, former Cleveland Browns defensive back and current podcaster Hanford Dixon believes that the Steelers have made a grave mistake passing on Sanders
and that the Browns will capitalize on the missed opportunity
On a recent episode of The Hanford Dixon Show
Dixon spoke about what he believed to be a terrible miscue by the Steelers
"They're gonna pay," Dixon said
Shedeur Sanders is going to make them pay every time we play them
he did have overall praise for the Steelers draft
"I'm going to give them a B+ with their draft
They have some really good players," Dixon said
"They have some players that I think can come in and help them right now
is that they didn't draft Sanders when they had the opportunity to"
While it is possible that Sanders becomes the face of the Browns franchise and leads them to consistent success against Pittsburgh
Due to drafting two quarterbacks and a busy offseason
the Browns currently have five quarterbacks signed
There is a possibility that Sanders is not only not the starter
but does not make the active roster for the coming season

Kayden Dixon-Wyatt has committed to Ohio State
adding to its collection of wide receiver talent in the 2026 recruiting class
He made his pledge on May 4, picking the Buckeyes over other finalists Alabama
During a live stream announcing his commitment
he described his decision as an obvious no-brainer
referencing the development at the position under Brian Hartline
the offensive coordinator who coaches the Buckeyes' wide receivers
Since Hartline became the full-time wide receivers coach in late 2018
the Buckeyes have seen five receivers became first round-draft picks in the NFL
according to the composite rankings from 247Sports
During an unbeaten season for the powerhouse program last fall
Dixon-Wyatt caught 50 passes for 693 yards and five touchdowns

It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this post today
passed away peacefully in her sleep last night surrounded by family
She was battling stage 7c dementia and the lord finally called her home
Pat was born on November 29,1939 in Fitzgerald
Courtney (Colton) and Tim 2; five great-grandchildren
Graham and Caden; numerous nieces and nephews; her friends for many years
Diane and Archie; and the fantastic team from Hospice
If anyone has to deal with a loved one that has dementia
once with the terrible disease and again when they are called home
We have decided to have a small service (family only)
Then she will be placed at the National Cemetery with our dad
There will be a celebration of life in mom's honor at a later date
so y'all can come celebrate mom's life with us
The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the Dixon family
A special thanks to all of our family and friends
But knowing you are at peace will give us comfort

An attorney for Dixon said in a statement emailed to The Times late Monday night that his client had been told by Fox Sports “that he was being let go for violating company policy” in a matter that had nothing to do with the lawsuits filed in January
“But the reality is that Mr. Dixon had asked his supervisor about the hire and was told that there were no objections.”

Former Fox Sports anchor and reporter Julie Stewart-Binks has accused Charlie Dixon, one of her ex-bosses at the network, of sexually assaulting her in 2016.
Ly added: “It is noteworthy that a Fox spokesperson made no reference to the company investigation of sexual harassment claims in announcing Mr. Dixon’s departure. Mr. Dixon has cooperated fully with the investigation and denies engaging in any inappropriate conduct.”
Ly did not immediately respond to further questions from The Times.
Fox Sports, reached by email Tuesday morning, would only confirm that Dixon is no longer employed by the company.
“Charlie Dixon is no longer with FOX Sports,” the network stated. “There is no further comment at this time.”

Stewart-Binks accused Dixon of holding her against a wall
“forcefully” pressing his body against hers and trying “to force his tongue into her mouth” following a work-related meeting in 2016
Soon after the incident, the lawsuit states, Stewart-Binks’ contract with Fox was not renewed. The lawsuit alleges sexual assault and sexual battery as causes of action against all defendants, which include Dixon, Fox Sports and its parent company, Fox Corp.
Asked in January about the lawsuit and its allegations, Fox Sports emailed a statement: “These allegations are from over eight years ago. At the time, we promptly hired a third-party firm to investigate and addressed the matter based on their findings.”
Dixon was also among the defendants in Faraji’s lawsuit, which was filed in L.A. County Superior Court in early January. In it, he is accused of “rubbing her body and grabbing her buttocks” without Faraji’s permission at a birthday party for another Fox Sports employee. The lawsuit alleges sexual battery and hostile work environment as causes of action against Dixon.
Noushin Faraji has accused ex-Fox Sports host Skip Bayless of making unwanted sexual advances toward her, including offering the hairstylist $1.5 million to have sex with him, a lawsuit states.

When Madonna Cristobal landed at the airport near Seattle in February
she and her aunt waited in the same line for customs
Dixon is a lawful permanent resident who has lived in the U.S
She has traveled internationally many times with her green card and never had any trouble coming back to the U.S
"We had a great time visiting our homeland
It was only after Cristobal and her sister hired a lawyer that they found out why Dixon
A felony conviction for embezzling nearly $6,500 from the bank where she worked more than 20 years ago is still on her record
though she did spend a month in a halfway house
any past infraction can loom large as immigration authorities ramp up enforcement at airports and borders crossings
"It's maximum enforcement these days," said Benjamin Osorio
an immigration lawyer who is representing Dixon
Traveling to the U.S. from abroad has gotten riskier under the Trump administration's crackdown — even for people with valid visas and green cards
"There isn't a lot of explanation," said Ben Johnson
the executive director of the American Immigration Lawyers Association
"There isn't a lot of consistency on what they're doing except trying to find any and every reason to prevent people from coming back into the United States and any and every reason to try to kick people out of the United States," Johnson said
Border officials are taking a harder line with green-card holders who have minor offenses on their records. That includes Fabian Schmidt, a New Hampshire man originally from Germany who was detained, possibly because of a decade-old misdemeanor charge for marijuana possession in California that was later dismissed
And a backpacker from the United Kingdom was held for three weeks because of a mix-up with her visa
says she was transported to the airport for deportation in shackles
"She's not Hannibal Lecter," Burke told the BBC
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) says it is simply enforcing immigration laws
"Those who violate these laws will be processed
and removed as required," CBP Assistant Commissioner Hilton Beckham said in a statement to NPR
"Green card holders who have not broken any U.S
or failed to apply for a re-entry permit after a long period of travel have nothing to fear about entering and exiting the country."
Border officers have always had a lot of discretion when deciding whom to allow into the country
says former CBP Commissioner Gil Kerlikowske
although he questions whether this heightened scrutiny is the best use of resources
"Some of these detentions don't seem appropriate," Kerlikowske said
"Especially if it was a relatively minor charge
Several countries in Europe have updated their travel guidance for the United States
The German government warned that false information
past criminal records or even minor visa overstays could lead to arrest
It's hard to say how many green-card holders or travelers have been detained
But immigration lawyers say there are likely more of these cases that haven't been reported
Lewelyn Dixon's detention has devastated her family
"Auntie Lynn has been the rock of our family," said Cristobal
"She has been what you would call an older sister to us
Dixon left the Philippines when she was 14
helping them build a new life in the United States
She had to call her aunt's boss at the University of Washington
to explain why Dixon wouldn't be able to make it in
Dixon was transferred to the Northwest ICE Processing Center in Tacoma
Her next hearing in immigration court is scheduled for July
Dixon's criminal record would likely not be reason enough by itself for authorities to arrest her and try to revoke her green card inside the U.S.
But the rules are different at ports of entry
she would not be having the issues that she's having," Osorio said
Osorio says he's advising all his clients who are lawful permanent residents to become naturalized U.S
Some immigration lawyers are telling green-card holders not to leave the country
especially if they have any criminal record in their past — no matter how minor

“Ed has a brother who runs an outfit in Seattle
A guy named Isaac.” Two episodes later
we saw that Isaac’s outfit isn’t some small regional group like Eugene used to talk about
In episode four we finally got to meet the man who runs it
but what did we learn about the TV version of W.L.F.’s leader
He’s as ruthless as the organization he defected from
Before he joined the Washington Liberation Front
Isaac Dixon was a FEDRA sergeant in Seattle’s Quarantine Zone
In 2018 Isaac left FEDRA with an actual bang
He blew up his own soldiers (minus one new recruit he took with him) when he formally joined W.L.F
FEDRA mockingly referred to Seattle’s citizens as “voters” because the group had stripped people of its rights
That tyranny was the apparent impetus for Isaac’s defection
the present timeline on HBO’s The Last of Us
had eliminated the organization and taken control of FEDRA’s weapons and supplies
Ellie noticed that FEDRA soldiers turned on each other
indicating some elected to join Isaac and W.L.F
In episode three we learned what Isaac had accomplished
patrols march through the city’s streets with tanks
The Washington Liberation Front also controls Seattle’s hospitals and has outposts in strategic locations
They also have their own enemy, Seraphites
is a militaristic organization with hi-tech weapons led by a soft-spoken man who was once shy around woman
a man with a fondness for cooking and Williams Sonoma cookware
The primitivism Seraphites worship a dead prophet whom some believe was actually a god
(Scars who think she was just a normal woman are considered “heretics” by fellow followers.) And at some point the two very different groups had a truce
Who broke it and why is unknown and no longer matters
“F***ed up” Seattle’s two biggest sects are at war
despite defecting from and then defeating the oppressive FEDRA
He tortured a captured Scar to find out information about the Seraphites’ next attack
When he knew he would be unable to extract the info
One guard outside the kitchen found the whole thing repulsive
showing not every wolf soldier agrees with Isaac’s tactics
But the very FEDRA soldier Isaac spared in 2018 was fully behind his leader
And both kill their enemy’s children
But only one side ever seems to join the other
Isaac’s prisoner told him the Seraphites will win
because it’s not about weapons or land
It’s because every day a wolf joins the Scars
Isaac disputed everything that ill-fated man said except for that
but everything we’ve learned about the TV version of Jeffrey Wright’s character indicates the war between W.L.F
and the Seraphites isn’t going to end anytime soon
And it’s not going to get any less deadly

FAIRFIELD — Dixon May Fair organizers want the community members to come to the fair and have a good time
But they also want fairgoers to leave some things at home
"The Dixon May Fair has put several safety precautions in place to create a safer and more pleasurable experience for all fairgoers," organizers said in a statement
every patron goes through a metal detector at each entrance and this means all your bags and strollers must be checked
keys and pocket change must be placed in a container as well
If possible do not bring backpacks or large handbags and carry essentials in a clear bag or pouch."
Items that cannot be brought into the fair include any type of weapon – no guns
including pocket knives – pepper spray or other objects that may be a threat to the safety of other fairgoers
as well as baby food and special dietetic foods
Only empty personal water containers are allowed that can be filled inside the fairgrounds," organizers said
squirt guns or balloons are allowed inside the fairgrounds
"No pets are allowed on the fairgrounds. Qualified service dogs that meet the state of California definition – available at DixonMayFair.com – and dogs participating in various shows will be allowed."
Organizers urge fairgoers to save some time by buying tickets online "before you come so that you don’t have to stand in a ticket line
then move to the admission line where you will go through the metal detector."
Just show the printed tickets or show them from a mobile device and head in for the carnival rides
"By simply being aware of these precautions before you arrive
you can look forward to a great time at the Dixon May Fair."

California was leaning towards Oregon over Ohio State
“I think when Kayden Dixon-Wyatt makes his decision
USC is going to battle over the next couple days
Kayden Dixon-Wyatt knows where he wants to go
but I do think it’s a lot of back and forth,” Loy said

Dixon-Wyatt continued to rave about Oregon's program and pointed out his constant communication with players on the team
“They keep it real consistent with things,” Dixon-Wyatt told On3

I have a couple teammates there I talk to them a lot about that

it would have been a huge boost to their recruiting standing in Southern California and at Mater Dei High School
Oregon's offensive players committed in the 2026 recruiting class are five-star tight end Kendre Harrison and four-star running back Tradarian Ball
It's a aggressive recruiting environment
How does Lanning and Oregon address NIL with players in an increasingly competitive environment
That's what four-star wide receiver Kayden Dixon-Wyatt appeared to believe with a post of a picture without a caption following his commitment to the Ohio State Buckeyes.
On Sunday, Dixon-Wyatt tweeted a photo of Buckeyes offensive coordinator Brian Hartline
The wideout had the photo on his X (formerly Twitter) account about an hour after On3's Hayes Fawcett reported Dixon-Wyatt committed to Ohio State
"The 6'2 180 WR from Oakland, CA chose the Buckeyes over Oregon and Alabama," tweeted Fawcett

According to the 247Sports composite rankings
The same rankings also have Dixon-Wyatt rated as the No
Dixon-Wyatt is considerably higher ranked on the 247Sports-only rankings
the Buckeyes have landed yet another verbal commitment from a highly-touted wide receiver in the 2026 recruiting class
With Dixon-Wyatt, Ohio State has landed three four-star receivers and a three-star wideout in the 2026 class
The program's current top commitment in the class is Dixon-Wyatt's high school teammate
Local prospect Jaeden Ricketts, who is from Pataskala, Ohio, is the other four-star receiver committed to Ohio State in the 2026 class. Those three stars will join a Buckeyes receiving group next year that will still have star Jeremiah Smith, who isn't eligible to enter the NFL Draft until 2027
Brock Boyd is the three-star receiver committed to Ohio State in 2026

Brian Hartline hauls in another elite pass-catcher
Ohio State’s recruiting efforts are generally among the best in the country as a whole, but there is nobody better at hauling in elite talent than wide receivers coach Brian Hartline. The former Buckeye has managed to stockpile star power like none other, and as a result the program has produced five first-round wideouts in the NFL Draft in just the last four years
Ohio State had already landed five-star Chris Henry Jr
Hartline went ahead and added his blue chip high school teammate as well on Sunday in high four-star wideout

59 player nationally per 247Sports’ rankings
with some in the industry believing he will finish as a five-star prospect by the end of this cycle
It is a huge victory for Ohio State to earn the commitment of the 6-foot-2
180-pound receiver over the likes of West Coast programs like Oregon and USC
Hartline and the Buckeyes’ track record of developing wide receivers won out over the more NIL-driven tactics of the Ducks and Trojans
“If you want to be an elite receiver, you go to Ohio State,” Dixon-Wyatt said following his commitment announcement
Dixon-Wyatt ultimately chose Ohio State out of nearly 40 offers
with Hartline first extending the Buckeyes’ offer back in March of 2024
OSU was one of five finalists for the Golden State standout
with the aforementioned Oregon and USC in the mix as well as Alabama and Texas
Dixon-Wyatt made several stops in Columbus throughout his recruiting process
including most recently for the Ohio State spring game
KDW caught 50 passes for 693 yards and five touchdowns as a junior this past season
It followed up a sophomore campaign in which he hauled in 33 receptions for 512 yards and six TDs
Here is some of what 247Sports national recruiting analyst Greg Biggins had to say of Dixon-Wyatt in his scouting report:
“Prototype WR in terms of his size and athleticism
Can bully opposing corners who try and press him and as is a willing blocker
Has strong hands and dominates 50-50 balls and catches the ball well through contact
[...] Tough to stop in red zone situations and should be a tough matchup in the red zone
Has a nice edge in his game and always competes at a high level.”
Dixon-Wyatt is the fourth and likely final wide receiver commit for Ohio State in the 2026 class
as well as four-star in-state prospect Jaeden Ricketts and Texas three-star Brock Boyd
With a quartet of players at the position in the fold before the summer has even begun
Hartline can get an early jump on the 2027 class
where he has already earned a commitment from the nation’s No
Ohio State’s position as a wide receiver factory is going nowhere anytime soon
The Buckeyes of course return college football’s best overall player in Jeremiah Smith in 2025 alongside studs like Carnell Tate
with young guys like Quincy Porter and Phillip Bell waiting in the wings
Hardline has built something special in Columbus
Dixon-Wyatt’s commitment brings the Buckeyes to 12 total commits in the 2026 class
3 in the country behind only USC (who has 27 commits) and Notre Dame
Ohio State still has a bunch of work to do in this cycle
so definitely look for more names to be added to the ledger before the team takes the field again come August
Dixon-Wyatt live streamed his college commitment decision on May 4 on YouTube
The elite wideout is also chose the Ohio State Buckeyes over the Oregon Ducks
a program that used to be a feeder school for USC and top prospects
the Trojans only have one Mater Dei commit in 2026
four-star defensive lineman Tomuhini Topui
Still, USC coach Lincoln Riley and his staff have a ton of momentum on the recruiting trail
landing four commitments over the past four days
The Trojans already have the No.1-ranked recruiting class in 2026
Part of USC's success in recruiting has been because of the large number of commits they are planning to bring in
room is already getting thin for the high school prospects looking to join the Trojans
Riley and company also have five wide receivers committed
Ohio State is always a threat with wide receivers coach Brian Hartline considered one of the best position coaches in the business
Oregon is also looking for wide receivers in the 2026 recruiting class
giving the Ducks a much bigger need at the position than USC

247Sports' Tom Loy believed that the top contenders to land Dixon-Wyatt are Oregon and Ohio State
The Trojans received a commitment from four-star wide receiver Luc Weaver on Saturday
perhaps signaling that Dixon-Wyatt would plan to commit elsewhere
but I do think it’s a lot of back and forth
I’m going to give a slight edge to Oregon right now
but really close with Ohio State," Loy said
When Dixon-Wyatt revealed he would be committing on May 4
he spoke to On3 about each of his finalists
the wide receiver cited USC's offense and freshman quarterback Husan Longstreet as a few of the many appealing factors

/ Diannie Chavez/The Republic / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images"They can for sure be a contender in my recruitment
They’re pretty good," Dixon-Wyatt told On3 about USC
Dixon-Wyatt revealed his thoughts about Oregon coach Dan Lanning as well as having Mater Dei teammates playing for the Ducks
"I’ve built a great relationship with the head coach Dan Lanning… I have former high school teammates on the team
It feels like home every single time I go over there," Dixon-Wyatt told On3
securing the commitment of four-star Kayden Dixon-Wyatt
Dixon-Wyatt (Oakland, Calif.) picked the Buckeyes over the Alabama Crimson Tide and Oregon Ducks, making him the fourth wide receiver commit of the 2026 class for Ohio State
The Buckeyes' class at the position also includes five-star Chris Henry Jr
The 2025 class also saw the Buckeyes land four wide receivers
including another five-star in Quincy Porter
who is set to start his freshman year this coming season
Dixon-Wyatt's decision was a surprise, as the Ducks had been given a 91.2% shot of landing his commitment by On3

But the 12th-ranked receiver in the 2026 class
sent a clear message as to why he decided to commit to the Buckeyes
"If you want to be an elite receiver, you go to Ohio State," Dixon-Wyatt said after announcing his commitment to the Buckeyes (h/t Eleven Warriors).
Dixon-Wyatt's opinion is well-founded, given Ohio State's recent track record of sending elite wide receivers to the NFL
This year's draft saw Emeka Egbuka taken in the first round
Jeremiah Smith is already the most feared wide receiver in college football after a stunning freshman season and
Dixon-Wyatt trusts wide receivers coach Brian Hartline to put him on a similar trajectory
The wideout pledged to Ohio State over finalists Oregon, Texas, Alabama, and USC.
Dixon-Wyatt is considered the No. 12 wide receiver and the No. 86 overall prospect in the 2026 class, according to an average of the four national recruiting services.
The wide receiver has 87 receptions for 1,260 yards while scoring 11 touchdowns in three seasons at Mater Dei while playing in 29 games, according to MaxPreps.
His best season came in 2024, when he caught 50 passes for 693 yards and scored 5 touchdowns while averaging 13.9 yards per reception.
Rivals ranks Dixon-Wyatt as the No. 5 wide receiver in the country and the No. 9 player in the state of California, the highest rankings the player has received to date.
Dixon-Wyatt is rated as the No. 6 wide receiver and No. 10 prospect from California, according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.
The wide receiver, a teammate of fellow Ohio State pledge Chris Henry, Jr., is the 12th commitment to pick the Buckeyes in the cycle and the fourth player at his position.
Henry remains Ohio State’s highest-ranked 2026 football recruit, named the No. 3 wide receiver and No. 20 overall prospect, according to the national recruiting rankings.
Offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Brian Hartline was once again instrumental in Dixon-Wyatt’s recruitment, adding another important recruiting gain to his portfolio of dominant wideout commitments.
Oregon and USC made a late push to sign the wide receiver, but the player elected to sign with Hartline and the Buckeyes’ recent run of developing prospects at the position.
“If you want to be an elite receiver, you go to Ohio State,” the player said.
Loy went on the 247Sports Ultimate College Football Show to further talk about each of their recruitments and where they stand
I think people inside his family are kind of preferring the Bulldogs,” Loy said
“I think that Jared’s gut feeling is leaning towards Oregon
I’m going to lean towards Oregon because I think in the end
Furthermore, Loy went on to say that this race is so close, that Curtis is going to be meeting with both offensive coordinators again this week; Mike Bobo with Georgia and Will Stein with Oregon. Curtis’s commitment date could get pushed back from Monday
“Everybody around him says he doesn’t know for sure. He is going to meet with Mike Bobo at Georgia and Will Stein at Oregon
potentially twice this week before he makes a decision,” Loy said
“They have an decision made for an announcement on Monday afternoon
There is still an outside shot it gets postponed because it is that close.”
Loy also added that the Curtis decision could play a role in the decision for fellow class of 2026 five-star
“There could be some interesting repercussions and how this plays out because I know we have been talking about Jackson Cantwell
five-star offensive tackle…It wouldn’t shock me if ends up seeing where Jared decides to go,” Loy said
“Those guys (Cantwell and Curtis) talk regularity
One decision from Jared could play a big factor in Jackson

Loy also sees Dixon-Wyatt committing to Oregon, although like Curtis, it is very close.
“I think when Kayden Dixon-Wyatt makes his decision, it will be Oregon or Ohio State. USC is going to battle over the next couple days. Kayden Dixon-Wyatt knows where he wants to go. He’s got his mind made up, but I do think it’s a lot of back and forth,” Loy said. “I’m going to give a slight edge to Oregon right now, but really close with Ohio State.”
Fox Sports executive vice president Charlie Dixon
who is a co-defendant in two lawsuits in which he was accused of sexual battery
“Charlie Dixon is no longer with Fox Sports,” a Fox Sports spokesperson told The Athletic
“There is no further comment at this time.”
Dixon joined Fox Sports in 2015 and was eventually promoted to be its top programming decision-maker on the cable side with FS1
The Athletic reported in February that Dixon had been placed on administrative leave after Noushin Faraji
alleged in her complaint that Dixon groped her at a co-worker’s party in January 2017
former Fox Sports anchor and reporter Julie Stewart-Binks alleged in her complaint that Dixon asked her to come to his hotel room after a work meeting and pushed her against the wall
Dixon’s lawyer John Ly said Dixon cooperated fully with the investigation and denies engaging in any inappropriate conduct
“After nine years in positions of increasing responsibility at the network
Dixon was told that he was being let go for violating company policy,” Ly’s statement said
Dixon did not disclose to human resources or the legal department that a third-party production company had hired his wife as a temporary freelancer
Dixon had asked his supervisor about the hire and was told that there were no objections
It is noteworthy that a Fox spokesperson made no reference to the company investigation of sexual harassment claims in announcing Mr

Wright reprises his role from “The Last of Us Part II”
Sunday’s episode of “The Last of Us” Season 2 introduces viewers to Isaac Dixon (Jeffrey Wright)
a former FEDRA soldier who turned on the governmental force in favor of joining Seattle’s Washington Liberation Front (W.L.F.)
he blows up an entire squad of soldiers who had pledged their loyalty to him and tortures
battered member of the Seraphites (Ryan Masson)
Isaac, consequently, makes quite the impression in the episode, thanks in no small part to Wright’s reliably magnetic screen presence. What viewers might know is that Isaac is a character that Wright himself actually played in 2020’s “The Last of Us Part II,” the video game that inspired the HBO series’ second season
Isaac is an important figure within the franchise’s dystopian world and he will play a pivotal role in its story from here on out
Isaac is the totalitarian leader of the Washington Liberation Front (W.L.F.)
as viewers discover in “The Last of Us” Season 2
tortures Scars for information and demands complete loyalty to the W.L.F
Video game players even learn through discoverable artifacts and items that Isaac coldly banished anyone from the city who was not willing to swear their allegiance to the W.L.F
and a considerable force to be reckoned with
especially now that Ellie and Dina have ventured into his domain while it is in the middle of an unending war
HBO’s “The Last of Us” has
already fleshed out Isaac more than its video game source material ever did
and he seems primed to have a much larger presence in the show
it does not seem likely that the HBO series will diverge too much from Isaac’s overall video game arc
for those who want to know what happens to Isaac in “The Last of Us Part II,” keep reading
Those who want to avoid any and all potential spoilers for future episodes
By the time Ellie and Dina arrive in Seattle in “The Last of Us Part II,” Isaac has already decided that the only way for the W.L.F
to actually win its war against the Scars is to plan a full-scale invasion and massacre of the faction’s island located off the coast of Seattle
If he does not follow through with his plan
Isaac believes the Scars will kill and convert too many W.L.F
soldiers in the long run for his side to come out on top
The seeds for this plan have already been planted in Isaac’s brutal interrogation scene in “The Last of Us” Season 2
while his eventual invasion initially looks like it will be successful in “The Last of Us Part II,” everything goes wrong when he discovers Abby
When Abby refuses to rejoin him and let him kill Lev
Abby and Lev escape the W.L.F.’s invasion
while Isaac dies offscreen from his gunshot wound
Isaac survives most of the Seattle events of “The Last of Us Part II,” though
so it seems unlikely viewers of its HBO adaptation will be saying goodbye to Wright’s live-action Isaac anytime soon
Just don’t be surprised when and if he eventually makes his exit in much the same manner as his video game counterpart
“The Last of Us” airs Sundays on HBO and Max

DIXON – Dixon city officials are moving forward with a $21 million project to update the aging infrastructure at the wastewater treatment plant
“This is going to be a long-term project,” Public Works Director Matt Heckman said
“It’s the revamping of all of the major systems at the wastewater treatment plant
Although they’re still functioning properly at this moment
they have reached a point of mechanical life where we need to update or repair these things before they start to give us fits.”
At the April 21 Dixon City Council meeting
the council approved a bid of $18.257 million from Vissering Construction Co
The project is expected to take about 18 months to complete
but next steps are dependent on the city being formally accepted into the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency Water Pollution Control Loan Program
which is how the city is paying for the upgrades
the city has received preliminary approvals from the program and expects to get that formal approval within the next two months
the entire project is eligible to be financed through the program
and the principal forgiveness increased from $4.8 million to $6.3 million
Principal forgiveness is a portion of the loan that is permanently removed; the borrower is not responsible for paying that amount
It’s been a pretty good week for the city of Dixon,” Heckman said
The remaining costs will be financed at 1.2% interest over 30 years with an annual payment of about $600,000
“which is exactly where we want to be,” Heckman said
Dixon’s wastewater treatment plant “is over 20 years old
A lot of things need to be upgraded,” Hughes said
“We’ve been talking about these improvements for many years,” Heckman said
“you could have a critical failure at the wastewater treatment plant
“The Illinois EPA sets the standards for wastewater effluent
We take meeting and exceeding those standards very seriously
That’s super important to us,” Heckman said
Other repairs to the plant also were completed in late 2024
another fractured – that needed to be fixed because they’re an important structural part of the system that moves the waste
The council approved a bid of $439,905 for that project at its Nov
Those screws needed to be replaced for a long time
The issue was first brought to the city’s attention under former Comptroller Rita Crundwell and was expected to cost about $35,000
council member Dennis Considine said in a previous interview with Shaw Local
Considine was elected to the council six months before Crundwell was escorted out of Dixon City Hall in handcuffs in April 2012 and convicted in 2013 of embezzling $53.7 million from the city
While Dixon struggled to pay for infrastructure and other projects
she used the money to fund a lavish lifestyle raising champion quarter horses
The completion of that screw project wrapped up the list of backlogged projects
Dixon City Manager Danny Langloss said Friday “we’re not catching up with anything from Crundwell” that he’s aware of

OREGON – Despite being at a huge shot disadvantage Thursday, Oregon made the most of its chances to defeat Dixon 2-1 in a Big Northern Conference girls soccer game at Oregon Park West
Playing much of the game in their own end and being outshot 21-5
4-3 BNC) managed to capitalize on both of their first-half shots to take a 2-0 lead into halftime
“It was really big to get ahead early,” said Oregon forward Anna Stender
“Coming into the game we were a little skeptical because we’ve had some rough patches during the season
But being able to go out and get that first goal right away
All we’ve been working on in practice lately is putting the ball in the goal
so it was great to see that happen today.”
Dixon’s Micki Worrell and Oregon’s Sarah Eckardt go after the ball Thursday
The first goal came on a loose ball in front of the Dixon goal just 3:01 into the game
Stender was one of three Hawks crashing on the play
and she was able to tap it into the net before Dixon keeper Zoey Williams could recover from diving for the ball when it first came into range
The second was on a direct kick from about 25 yards out with 16:53 left in the first half
Stender booted a high-arcing shot that snuck under the bar
barely clearing the hands of a leaping Williams
and I knew I was right in front of the goal
don’t wait.’ There’s no one-touch-and-go there
be aggressive and eager to get the ball,” Stender said
I was trying to get the shot to go in; we’ve been working on those
Dixon’s Kamille Prather kicks the ball against Oregon’s Ava Carenno Thursday
5-2 BNC) were the ones applying all the pressure
They spent the rest of the half in Oregon’s end of the field
then picked up where they left off for the first 30 minutes of the second half
But none of their 15 first-half shots found the net
wide right over the crossbar – or within new Oregon goalkeeper Noelle Girton’s reach
“I definitely think it shows persistence that we kept fighting
but we kind of got in a rut when we kept missing shots,” Dixon co-captain Leah Stees said
“Our shots were either high or wide or going right to the goalie
“We were really just trying to keep the energy up and keep the pressure on them in the second half
Oregon’s goalkeeper Noelle Girton redirects a shot by Jenna Harrison over the goal against Dixon Thursday
Girton made saves on all eight shots on goal in the first half
then saved three of the four that came her way in the second half
The only blemish was when Jenna Harrison took a pass from Rachel Lance and finally broke free for a one-on-one opportunity less than five minutes into the second half
Harrison punched it past Girton to cut the deficit in half with 35:35 remaining
But with defender Addison Rufer marking Harrison the whole game
the Hawks made it difficult for Dixon’s top goal-scorer to get the ball in a position to score or set up her teammates
“Our defense was really good at covering [Harrison] and making sure she didn’t get shots off
My job was just to cut off whatever they kicked my way,” Girton said
I’ve never played back there until a couple of weeks ago
and I feel like I’m learning and finally know how to play the position better
“And it’s a lot less stressful when we’ve got a cushion
My defense is doing their part so I can do my part
so if something does happen – like them scoring that goal – we’re able to keep the momentum going because we still had the lead.”

Oregon had the momentum before the No. 86 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking made it to Columbus this spring
Those visits pushed the Buckeyes to the top
“The first visit really made it competitive between Ohio State and Oregon, then the second one, I felt great,” Dixon-Wyatt told On3. “The people made it feel great for me at Ohio State. I have a great relationship with coach Hart (Brian Hartline) and coach Day. How they recruited me, stayed in contact and the message of how important I was to them on the visits was big.”
Hartline’s track record and the history at Ohio State played a big role in this commitment as well.

AMC's third season of Norman Reedus (Daryl) and Melissa McBride (Carol)-starring The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is set to premiere this fall
There's nothing like the second season premiere of AMC's Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan) and Lauren Cohan (Maggie)-starring The Walking Dead: Dead City to also drop some important intel on the third season of Norman Reedus (Daryl) and Melissa McBride (Carol)-starring The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon
A little less than three months after production officially wrapped
a teaser aired during tonight's season opener
confirming "Daryl Dixon" will be on our screens this fall
The upcoming third season tracks Carol and Daryl as they continue their journey toward home and the ones they love. As they struggle to find their way back, the path takes them farther astray, leading them through distant lands with ever-changing and unfamiliar conditions as they witness the various effects of the Walker apocalypse. Here's a look at the new teaser that went live (big thanks to TWDUniverse Promos for posting)
followed by a post signaling that production on the third season had officially wrapped:

Executive Producer Steve Squillante (who also served as Netflix's VP of physical production for local language originals between 2018-20) offered some insights into the production and what filming in Spain brings to the spinoff series with Variety – including a tease about a train sequence that will "blow people away."
"The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon" Isn't an American Show Filming In a New Locale: Much like what we saw when filming was going down in France
"95%-plus" of Season 3 was filmed in Spain with a production team that was "90%-plus" Spanish. "This is not an American show that's just relocated to France and then to Spain to shoot another version of an American show
This is an American show that's come into the continent and has not only just embraced but also completely wrapped its arms around the history of the people inside the countries and regions that we're shooting," Squillante explained
"The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon" Season 3 Has a Train Sequence That Will "Blow People Away": Squillante noted a number of the key locations that the spinoff series was able to film at or will be filming at (like Barcelona
and Granada) – including some "incredible stuff" while visiting Aragón and filming in the ruins of Belchite
a town devastated during the 1936-39 Spanish Civil War
But this was the part that caught our eye: apparently
there is a train sequence that was filmed in Aragón that required "a secure fallow train line" that Squillante teased would "blow people away."
What Makes Spain Perfect for "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon" Season 3: "Spain has a really wonderful canvas that I don't believe viewers are quite as familiar with
We're taking advantage of our story and our ability to move the way we are to present a little bit more of the whole picture of Spain," shared Squillante
"Even though it's a post-apocalyptic world
and people don't realize or the actual impressive cultural and environmental diversity in a country the size of Spain
Spain presents very interesting parallels to California
But a three-hour train ride from Madrid and you're in Galicia

I hope we can put all of this behind us now and focus on the music and artists that we are all so passionate about.”

including some sponsors and labels that had previously worked with CMW
A spokesperson from Departure says both sides are now moving forward with the transition of the business
“Neill Dixon and Departure are in complete agreement on the sale and transition of the business,” they said in a statement to Billboard Canada

March 17 at Eastminster Presbyterian Church
Private family burial will take place at Jamesburg Park Cemetery in Wichita
when Rick needed a fourth person for his bowling team in Washington
Kansas in 1972 for Rick to help his grandfather grow the family business
Alice dedicated her life to raising her three children
and her joy continued to grow with the birth of each of her six grandchildren
She enjoyed family vacations to Estes Park
She spent many trips visiting the French Canadian and northern Maine countryside to learn more about her genealogy
Alice was able to trace her roots back through church and public records to the 1600s in the province of Quebec
She later added that information to online genealogy databases for others to reference
One of the ways she expressed her love was sending quilts to her friends and family when they needed comfort

those pesky concrete walls in this Southern California port city
Scott Dixon found two of them with his race car Saturday in preparation for the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach
with both hits occurring in the same area of the 11-turn
That misfortune will make Sunday’s 90-lap race even more challenging for Dixon than it was already going to be
The two smacks combined to put the two-time and defending race winner in the 14th starting position
Here’s the historical significance of that position: Drivers in that starting territory usually don’t get to victory lane in this event
only four times in INDYCAR’s 40-year history here has a winner come from that far back
Paul Tracy won from the 17th position in 2000
who won last year’s race from the eighth starting spot
9 PNC Bank Chip Ganassi Racing Honda off the wall on the exit of Turn 6 in the first round of qualifying
he slammed another part of the Turn 6 wall – at the approach to the corner – in the morning practice
which required significant repairs to the right rear and the car’s floor during the session
Those two impacts followed Friday’s penalty for improperly crossing the painted line where drivers exiting the pits are required to stay to the right of ahead of Turn 1
it’s been anything but a smooth weekend for the legend who was inducted in the Long Beach Motorsports Walk of Fame on Friday before practice
Dixon could only shake his head when considering how close he came to advancing to the second round
which would have given him a chance at a much higher starting position
“I think we were up on our teammate (series points leader Alex Palou) by about a tenth and a half (of a second) at that point (of the contact)
so easily (could have advanced),” he said
Dixon had hoped to complete his fastest lap one circuit earlier
“But the car (ahead) aborted (the run)
so I had to do the same thing,” he said
“I just thought we still had time (to improve)
then at the exit of (Turn 6) I clipped the wall and bent the toe link.”
The first wall contact happened where the barrier juts out a bit
Dixon acknowledged the car got away from him
“You’re always trying to find a little bit more
and obviously the wall kind of moves there on the way in,” he said
“It’s obviously in the same spot every lap
but I just kind of got a little bit of a lock on the rear
and it kind of moved me sideways a little bit before I got to the wall and collected it
I thought it was OK because (the impact) was pretty square
I was able to come back in and run some laps later.”
The team did a miraculous job of making repairs in about 10 minutes
giving Dixon time to turn a couple of laps ahead of the checkered flag
This is only the third race of the 17-race season
but Dixon and other title hopefuls can’t afford to give positions away
Palou has won the year’s first two races to build a 39-point lead
3 starting position for Sunday’s race
Palou has finished in the top five in each of his four event starts at Long Beach
quality results haven’t always come to him
Only once in his first eight starts did he post a top-10 finish – he was fourth in 2010 – but lately he has had better luck
Dixon has finished in the top four in six of the past eight races
he got knocked into the tire barrier by Pato O’Ward
the driver who is closest to him in the current standings
This year’s race has been extended by five laps
improving the chances for different pit strategies to be used
he made his final pit stop 10 laps earlier than Herta
Dixon and the rest of the 27-car field will begin the pursuit shortly after the broadcasts begin at 4:30 p.m

ExpandDixon’s Jenna Harrison takes a shot against North Boone in April
School: Dixon
Why she was selected: Harrison scored five goals in a 9-0 win over North Boone and a school-record seven goals in an 11-0 win over Rockford Lutheran
Her seven goals is tied for the fourth most in a single match
Harrison already has broken her older sister Taylor‘s freshman scoring record of 30 goals
She leads the team with 35 goals and counting as Dixon is 10-5-1 and 5-2 in the Big Northern Conference
not just on our ability to create scoring opportunities
but also our team culture and chemistry,” Dixon coach Josh Brigl said
“She plays with the experience and sharpness of a veteran player
You would never know that she is only a freshman
She is great teammate that jelled with the team from Day 1
We feed off of her incredibly high work rate and tenacity.”
Harrison is the Sauk Valley Athlete of the Week after an online vote
I like soccer because it’s easy to go there and get my mind off other things
It has definitely made me a better person and taught me things that I would have never learned without playing
You are leading the team in goals and scored 12 in two games
What is it like to be the one finishing those goals
Harrison: It feels good to be the leading scorer on the team
It’s nice to know that your team trusts you to put away the goals that need to be scored
There is still a lot of things that we need to work on
Harrison: Things that stand out to me about this team is that we never give up no matter how much time is left and what the score is
We are always trying to score more and work together as a team
Do you have a favorite athlete or sports team
Harrison: One of my favorite professional athletes is Sophia Smith
but one of my favorite college athletes is definitely my sister
Harrison: My favorite place to eat after games or practices is definitely Arthur’s with my teammates
Do you have plans for after high school yet
and I‘m always trying to look ahead to the future and work my hardest

ExpandRock Falls’ Connor Fritz tags out Dixon’s James Simpson
DIXON – Veterans Memorial Field hosted a roller-coaster game Tuesday evening
but there was more bemusement than amusement at this park
Rock Falls built a five-run lead going into the bottom of the fifth, but Dixon rallied to tie the game going into the seventh
then got out of a bases-loaded jam for the second straight inning to pull out a 10-8 Big Northern Conference victory at Page Park
“It’s awesome to get this win,” Carter Hunter said
“We took a bad loss the other day [to Genoa-Kingston]
“It’s great to see everybody contribute,” Ethan Mathews said
“Early in the season we struggled a little bit with that
and it’s great seeing us all get the job done and pull out a hard win today.”
Rock Falls’ Ethan Mathews comes off the mound to field a bunt against Dixon Tuesday
Dixon’s tying runs in the bottom of the sixth scored on a wild pitch and a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch
including three in the top of the seventh as Rock Falls retook the lead on a pair of run-scoring errors and a Hunter sacrifice fly
If we stop making errors we might win every game,” Brady Feit said
so we’ve just got to try and get a road win like they did today.”
Dixon’s Brady Feit makes a sliding stop at short against Rock Falls Tuesday
Hunter reached base four times and had a pair of RBIs for the Rockets (10-11-1
while Ethan Moeller had two hits and scored twice
Moore had two hits and reached base four times
Mason Landes had a pair of hits and an RBI
and Connor Fritz and Owen Laws each added a hit and an RBI as all nine Rockets reached base at least twice
“It’s very key for us to put pressure on the defense
Getting on base is something we’re very good at
and we’re great at hitting the ball and scoring runs.”
Rock Falls scored three runs in the first inning on an error and RBIs by Hunter and Landes
then tacked on another in the top of the third on a passed ball to take a 4-2 lead
The Rockets built their lead to 7-2 on RBI groundouts by Laws and Castaneda and a two-out RBI single by Fritz in the top of the fifth
Dixon’s Jake Zepezauer tags out Rock Falls’ Carter Hunter stealing second Tuesday
then Dre Diaz cut the deficit to 7-3 with a sac fly in the fifth
Feit added a two-run single in the bottom of the sixth before he scored the tying run when Jake Zepezauer was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded a few batters later
Dixon left the bases loaded in the final two innings and stranded five runners in scoring position over the last three frames
including five times with the bases loaded in the final two innings
“We knew we had to get into the pitcher’s head a little
Then we saw their ace coming in and were patient and tried to get in his head
Dixon’s Jake Whelan drives in two with a single against Rock Falls Tuesday
and Eli Kirchhoff added a pair of singles and scored twice for Dixon
Mathews was effective for the Rockets for the first five innings
giving up just three runs and four hits before a couple of errors derailed Rock Falls in the sixth
hit a batter and kept the Dukes from mounting any serious rallies until his final inning
I went out there and did my own thing on the mound today
I just took a second and came back and pounded the zone,” Mathews said
“It’s great when the bats are going like today; it makes it a lot easier to go out there and throw strikes because the pressure is taken off you a little bit
Dixon’s Jake Zepezauer gets the out at second as Rock Falls’ AJ Moore looks to break up the double play Tuesday
