- Savanna Dunwoody from Spearfish has once again earned her place among the nations best gymnasts qualifying for the 2025 USA Gymnastics Developmental National Championships The 18-year old high school senior secured her spot by finishing in the top seven recently at the Region 4 Championships in Minneapolis the Level 10 gymnast placed fifth in the all-around with a score of 37.40 after placing in the top 10 in all four individual events Dunwoody is one of five gymnasts that were all on the Region 4 team last year and placed second overall at nationals Region 4 is comprised of gymnasts from seven states including South Dakota who trains at the Spearfish Gymnastics Academy she bounced back and put on a strong performance at the regional competition and qualified for nationals for the fifth time in her career "It definitely makes me feel a lot less nervous," said Savanna Dunwoody "And especially with it being my senior year it just really kind of allows me to take it all in Don't really have to worry about a lot of things I just kind of already know what to expect and I can really just go out there and have fun with it." for ninth with a 95 (+25) The other two scores counted for Chamblee were junior Grace Gaham with a 123 (+53) good for a tie for 41st and Avery D’Auria in 45th with a 135 (+65) Junior Annabelle Brunn team score of 350 (+62) led by senior Andy Moelich with an 82 (+10) to finish 26th overall Junior Hudson Cobb (88) tied for third and junior Noah Lanford (89) was tied for 47th Senior Ben Phillips put up a 91 (+19) to finish 57th and complete the scoring for the Vikings Junior Sterling Krick put up a 92 (+20) to take 62nd and senior Kyle Davis rounded out the team with a 104 (+32) The Chamblee
