(News 4 & Fox 11) — A man wanted for armed carjacking was shot dead
and a deputy was injured during an early morning incident in Douglas County on Friday
Deputies from the Douglas County Sheriff's Office responded to a call from a mother saying her son assaulted her with a gun on the 1200 block of Pit Road just before 2 a.m
had assaulted her with a gun and fled the scene while attempting to steal a car from a nearby victim
Brown and an accomplice were unsuccessful in taking the vehicle and proceeded toward Tillman Lane
Brown was later found sitting in a car on Short Court
Deputies ordered Brown to exit the vehicle
A deputy involved in the incident sustained a hand injury and was transported to Renown for treatment
The 16-year-old boy accompanying Brown was arrested on a robbery charge
All deputies involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative leave
and the Carson City Sheriff's Office is conducting the investigation
A Carson City man has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting in Gardnerville late Thursday night
The man was arrested in Mineral County and will be charged with murder
Douglas County deputies say they were called to the scene
where they found the body 27-year-old Charles Edward Wilkinson
25-year-old Gary Allen Dillishaw left the scene
but was arrested early Friday morning after a short police pursuit in Mineral County
Deputies say Dillishaw will be booked into the Mineral County Jail in Hawthorne on the Douglas County murder charge

Authorities said Dillishaw left the scene and was considered armed and dangerous
deputies with the Mineral County Sheriff's Office arrested Dillishaw after a short police chase
The 25-year-old was booked into the Mineral County jail in Hawthorne on the Douglas County murder charge
395 is completely closed in both directions between the Gardnerville Ranchos and Topaz Lake due to a head-on crash Friday morning
According to Sergeant Chris Brown with the Nevada Highway Patrol
on March 7 in the area of Spring Valley Drive
Brown said preliminary investigation reveled a Ford transit van was traveling northbound on 395 when for unknown reasons they drove into oncoming southbound traffic and head a semi-truck head on
The driver of the van was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries
There is no estimated time for reopening the roadway
