This report provides a detailed analysis of the Hannibal Stealer
a rebranded variant of the Sharp and TX stealers
which was recently cracked by the reverse engineering group
and is a sophisticated information stealer targeting Chromium – and Gecko-based browsers to extract sensitive data while bypassing Chrome Cookie V20 protection
Its data theft capabilities extend to cryptocurrency wallets
as well as FTP clients like FileZilla and Total Commander
The Hannibal stealer compromises VPN credentials
and performs comprehensive system profiling
It includes a crypto clipper module for clipboard hijacking
and it is controlled via a dedicated C2 user panel
enabling streamlined data management and exfiltration
The Hannibal Stealer was first advertised for sale on BreachForums on February 2
with a subscription pricing set at $150 for 1 month
Two Telegram usernames were listed on the post
suggesting they may be the developers behind the stealer
one of the users listed Hannibal Stealer for sale on a Turkish-speaking forum on February 3
followed by a post on Darkforums on February 5th
indicating a coordinated multi-platform promotion strategy
The function GetLolocationInfo retrieves the geolocation of a system and IP address by querying ip-api.com and parsing the JSON response to extract the country field
If the country matches one of several nations (e.g.
This technique ensures the malware avoids running in specific regions
The intent is to evade analysis or prosecution by avoiding systems in the attacker’s likely home territory
This behavior is consistent with geofencing used in many advanced malware campaigns
The GetDomainDetect function plays a critical reconnaissance role in identifying high-value credentials stored by the victim:
This SystemInfo class is part of a stealer malware component designed to gather and exfiltrate detailed system information from an infected machine
Comprehensive System Profiling: The malware collects critical host details such as OS version
and MAC address using WMI queries (ManagementObjectSearcher)
These attributes help uniquely identify the victim’s device
Network and Geolocation Data: It fetches IP address
potentially containing sensitive or credential-related data
Clipboard theft is often used to capture copied passwords or crypto wallet addresses
Attribution Marking: The ASCII art includes a Telegram handle (CoderSharp)
indicating the threat actor’s branding channel
Log File Creation: All collected data is dumped into a file (Information.txt) for either local staging before exfiltration by the attacker
This code segment is part of an info-stealer malware specifically designed to target and exfiltrate cryptocurrency wallet data from locally-installed wallet applications such as Jaxx
By locating and copying wallet files from these applications
the malware aims to harvest sensitive information including private keys and transaction histories
posing a significant risk to the victim’s digital assets
The BitcoinCore and DashCore classes are engineered to specifically target and extract wallet files (wallet.dat) from the local installations of Bitcoin and Dash desktop clients
The malware leverages the Windows Registry to obtain the strDataDir key
which points to the storage location of the wallet files
it copies these sensitive files to designated directories within the malware’s controlled structure (\Wallets\BitcoinCore\ or \DashCore\)
These .dat files often contain private keys and transactional metadata
making them valuable assets for cybercriminals
and Counting.Wallets) are used to track the number of successfully exfiltrated wallets
The malware continuously monitors the clipboard for cryptocurrency wallet addresses
it detects addresses for various cryptocurrencies (BTC
it replaces the victim’s address with the attacker’s predefined wallet address
the victim unknowingly transfers funds to the attacker’s wallet when pasting the address
The TotalCommander class is designed to steal the “wcx_ftp.ini” file from the user’s system if Total Commander is installed
It searches for the file in the Total Commander directory (under the user’s AppData folder) and copies it to the malware’s directory (C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\GHISLER\)
This file typically contains FTP connection details
which could include sensitive login information
The counter Counting.totalcmd tracks the number of successful exfiltrations
The code below targets sensitive data from installed browsers
It searches predefined directories for browser data and extracts credentials
the malware decrypts encrypted data stored in files like “Login Data” and “Web Data”
storing this stolen data for later exfiltration
The decryption process relies on keys extracted from browser-specific files (e.g.
both of which are designed to copy files from directories (C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\CyberGhost) associated with the respective VPN services to a new directory
This info stealer also extracts details from several other VPN services
V20Collect Class Targets browser cookies and extracts sensitive data from web browsers
Otstuk Class Handles the creation of zip archives containing stolen data and sends it either to a Telegram bot or a private server
Hannibal Stealer maintains an active Telegram channel
the group launched an EXE installer service branded as HANNIBAL INSTALL SERVICES
offering bulk install packages at the following rates:
Buyers were directed to contact three different users
potentially pointing to multiple developers or operators’ involvement in the project
a newer channel was launched on March 28th
This channel shared the latest Hannibal Stealer update on April 19th
indicating ongoing development and active maintenance of the malware
the Telegram channel linked to Hannibal Stealer promoted a hacktivist group
sharing a screenshot of their politically-charged defacement message
The hacktivist group claimed responsibility for hacking a server to protest anti-democratic practices in Turkey
framing their actions as socially motivated
The endorsement of this message by the stealer’s channel suggests a possible affiliation or ideological alignment with at least one of Hannibal’s developers
This convergence of financially driven malware and hacktivist agendas indicates a growing overlap between cybercrime and political activism in the threat landscape
Current findings reveal that the Telegram IDs listed in recent Hannibal Stealer sales posts on dark web forums directly match those found in older threads by the user “TXSUPPORT” on BreachForum
where “TX Stealer” was promoted on November 17th
followed by “SHARP Stealer” on December 24th
This overlap strongly suggests that Hannibal Stealer is likely a rebranded or incrementally modified version of earlier stealers
The threat actor behind these appears to operate in cycles: first selling SHARP Stealer
the marketing language and feature set have remained largely the same
Analysis of the Hannibal Stealer source code indicates that the main modification involves changes to the log delivery mechanism
transitioning from Telegram-based exfiltration to an alternative (C2) Server
Hannibal appears to be a recycled variant built on the same core codebase as earlier stealers
with minimal innovation beyond its rebranded identity and updated communication methods
developed using the Django (Python) framework
provides a structured interface designed for executing targeted attacks
including the theft of Steam and Discord tokens
It actively collects and manages logs containing stolen credentials
the panel offers comprehensive monitoring capabilities
granting access to browser-stored passwords
consolidating all the exfiltrated data into a unified log for easy access and management
Recent active panels associated with the Hannibal Stealer indicate ongoing operations and infrastructure maintenance
providing real-time access to stolen data and attacker tools
reflecting continued usage by threat actors
The Hannibal Stealer exemplifies the modern evolution of info-stealers — modular
and persistently active across multiple platforms
While the codebase reveals minimal innovation compared to its predecessors (TX and SHARP)
and integration with a Django-based control panel make it a formidable tool in the cybercriminal arsenal
and modular collection mechanisms demonstrates a refined focus on monetizable assets
from installation services to public endorsement of hacktivist causes
highlights its dual role in financial cybercrime and ideological influence operations
Continued tracking of its infrastructure and evolution will be crucial for proactive defense and takedown efforts

They used to go crazy when I talked about — when I talk about Hannibal Lecter
We have many of them that came across the border
But when the people went to the voting booth
then we understood why he talked about that because they voted for us
“We don’t want Hannibal Lecter in our country.”
But the press would go absolutely crazy if I mentioned Hannibal Lecter’s name because they say he’s a fictional character
but it was making the point — and the point is they’re emptying mental institutions and insane asylums
it looks as though he repeatedly denied that Lecter is a fictional character
This wouldn’t be that surprising since Trump often speaks about the serial killer
who was invented by the author Thomas Harris
it seems what the president was trying to convey was “Though the press mocked me
my Silence of the Lambs metaphor was both correct and effective.”
President Donald Trump offered a new spin on one of his classic rally lines about fictional serial killer Hannibal Lecter on Tuesday night
Trump’s Hannibal Lecter bit is still almost entirely wrong
Lecter is not “great,” as he’s an unrepentant murderer
Nor is he “late” since he does not die in any book
While Trump often claimed Lecter was a big MAGA guy
no actor who played him ever praised Trump
foreign countries were not “emptying mental institutions and insane asylums” into the United States during the Biden administration
But sure — it seems that repeatedly telling a colorful
incoherent lie to demonize migrants might have helped Trump get reelected

Is it a club? Is it a bar? Is it something weird and less conventional than either of those? We’ll have to wait and see. But whatever it is, it’s coming to Metropolitan Avenue and comedian Hannibal Buress appears to be behind it
according to Knitting Factory Entertainment CEO Morgan Margolis
there were rumors the venue would enjoy a second life
but those seemed to have folded when Knitting Factory instead partnered with Baby’s Alright to open Night Club 101 in Manhattan in the former Pyramid Club location on Avenue A between East 6th and East 7th Streets
“I’m excited to have a consistent home to experiment onstage and showcase top talent
When I’m not performing I love going to shows
so now I get to consolidate that into one space
I have a lot of great memories in the space and I’m excited to create more
I’m excited to move past the construction phase and get to putting on events,” Buress told Brooklyn Vegan

(KHQA) — The Hannibal School District hosted the annual Northeast Missouri Special Olympics on Friday
The 8th annual Special Olympics gave students in grades K-12 the opportunity to volunteer or participate in events such as walking
This year’s event was held in Palmyra due to ongoing renovations at Porter Stadium at Hannibal High School
Hannibal Special Services Director Jennifer Welker said the event is a great opportunity for all involved
“We have a high population of students in our district that have individualized education plans
which just means that a lot of them learn differently and they may not participate in sports or a lot of extracurricular activities cause maybe that's not in their lane
so this is just a way for them to get out and have that chance to do things at a more flexible and a laid back level,” Welker said
Welker also thanked the Palmyra School District for allowing use of its football field for the event
Organizers said they plan to return to Porter Stadium next year once renovations are completed

Burnley midfielder Hannibal Mejbri has said he suffered "disgusting abuse" in a Championship match on Saturday amid an investigation into an alleged racist comment from Preston North End's Milutin Osmajic
In the 56th minute of the the 0-0 draw at Deepdale -- marking Burnley's 11th straight clean sheet in England's second tier -- Mejbri and Osmajic exchanged words and the Manchester United academy product then promptly ran over to manager Scott Parker and the referee to report a comment
A meeting between match officials was held after the final whistle and the English Football Association is looking into the incident
Preston has said that Osmajic "strongly refuted the claims," though Mejbri posted on social media after the game: "I will not be silent about what happened today
"I will always call out racism whenever I hear or see it
That is the only way we change as a sport and a society
I am a strong person but nobody should have to experience this disgusting abuse on the pitch."
A Preston club statement after the game read: "Preston North End are aware of a complaint that has been made by Hannibal Mejbri and Burnley FC to today's match officials with regards to an allegation of a comment made by Milutin Osmajic during today's Sky Bet Championship fixture at Deepdale
"Milutin Osmajic has strongly refuted the claims of a racist comment made towards Hannibal Mejbri in a post-match meeting with today's match officials."
the club feel it is unjust and inappropriate to post social media comments presuming guilt until there is the opportunity for a full investigation to take place
"Preston North End utterly condemn any incidents of racism or discrimination wherever and whenever they occur
however Milutin Osmajic categorically denies the allegations made against him today."
Burnley midfielder Hannibal Mejbri reported the comments to manager Scott Parker and the referee during and after the game. Lewis Storey/Getty ImagesBurnley said that referee Andrew Kitchen registered the complaint from Mejbri
who joined the club from United last summer
"The club would like to thank the officials for their professional handling of the incident," their statement read
"The club will continue to show its complete support to Hannibal and there will be no further comment made until the investigation has been completed."
was forced to ask the Preston fans to calm down as boos rang out when Mejbri was substituted in the second half
"I'm not going to go through the detail of what was said but something has been said to Hannibal and he has reported that and the officials have taken down what was reported," Parker told Sky Sports afterwards
"The boy was hurt at that moment in time and he was emotional
There is no real understanding sometimes of situations
I get the emotion of games and sometimes you need to sit down and have a little think
"The officials did a brilliant job in terms of what happened
It's difficult in a stadium full of people and what took place
The officials went through a process and did well with that."
Earlier this season, Osmajic was banned for eight games after biting Owen Beck's neck in a game against Blackburn
Mejbri has made 27 appearances for Burnley since his move from United

The Supreme Court of Missouri reviewed information filed on November 25
The information was filed by the Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel (OCDC)
They found that White had two admonitions (warnings) from the OCDC
One of the warnings was for violating Rule 4-8.4(d)
conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
White was representing an individual who had been involved in a bar altercation
and served the subpoena on the bar where the altercation occurred
The subpoena directed the bar owner to provide White with the surveillance video of the altercation
There was no pending litigation concerning the bar altercation
The second warning was for violating Rule 4- 8.2(b)
judicial candidates must follow the Code of Judicial Conduct
Rule 2.4.2(a)(5) of the Code of Judicial Conduct
making a false statement regarding a judicial candidate
as a judicial candidate for the Marion County Associate Circuit Court position
used campaign signs that represented he was already a sitting judge when he had never been a judge
The OCDC shared that White focuses his practice on handling driving while under the influence (“DUI”) cases while he has three outstanding criminal actions against him which involve his alleged alcohol abuse
They also cited how White has a long history of engaging in illegal behavior when he drinks to excess
where White broke a window and entered an apartment in Key West
The OCDC noted how White has shown up to court smelling of alcohol
has failed to show up to multiple court dates
and has provided false information to the court to cover for himself
The Supreme Court of Missouri ruled White as "unable to competently represent the interests of his clients due to an alcohol and/or drug addiction" and that he has "committed professional misconduct and poses a substantial threat of irreparable harm to the public."
White is now suspended from practicing law pending the resolution of his outstanding criminal charges and any disciplinary chargers that may be filed against him

The Lower Kuskokwim School District (LKSD) has a new superintendent
Anderson comes to Bethel from Montana. He previously served as superintendent of the Lower Yukon School District from 2018 to 2020 and got his start in Alaska in the Bering Strait School District.
Anderson sat down with KYUK to talk about what drew him to the Kuskokwim Delta and what his priorities are as he leads the region’s largest school district.
This transcript has been lightly edited for clarity and flow, and may contain transcription errors.
KYUK (Sage Smiley): Thank you so much for joining us here on KYUK today. To start off, can you just introduce yourself? Who are you?
Andrew “Hannibal” Anderson: Yes, who am I? Well, I should introduce myself first formally. My name is Andrew Anderson, but many people know me as Hannibal Anderson, so people in the district office, others that I'm meeting are getting to know me as Hannibal, and it might be great for just the community as a whole to know that either name is very comfortable for me, but Hannibal is a nickname I've had since I was five or six years old.
Anderson: It came from a children's storybook that had a little character named Hannibal that my father loved to read to me, and you know, I loved to hear him read it. So one day, as I was complaining, I think, about chores as a little boy, it was similar to the story, and my father just said, ‘Just like little Hannibal,’ and that was the name that came, much to my mother's dismay.
KYUK: So. Previous to becoming the Lower Kuskokwim School District superintendent, what brought you there? What has your career path been that brought you to this place?
KYUK: So let's talk a bit more about that. What about LKSD or the Lower Kuskokwim more broadly made you want to be superintendent of this school region?
KYUK: What do you want the Lower Kuskokwim School District community, or the Lower Kusko[kwim] more broadly, to know about you as a leader, as a superintendent, in your vision for this position?
KYUK: So Lower Kuskokwim School District is, as you mentioned, a very large, rural district dealing with a pretty diverse and varied set of infrastructure issues, of logistical issues, of all these different things. What are your focuses? What are the things that you're wanting to pay the most attention to as you're starting out in this position?
KYUK: How do you anticipate doing that? I mean, obviously there are already established relationships and communication pathways and things in a district like the Lower Kuskokwim School District. So how do you plan on encouraging and helping shepherd the development of team relationships and peer relationships within the district?
KYUK: What do you see as the biggest challenges facing the Lower Kuskokwim School District in the coming years?
KYUK: Do you feel like LKSD has been caught too late in the decision making game so far in infrastructure issues?
KYUK: What's been most surprising or exciting for you in your time so far with the Lower Kuskokwim School District? You started July 1.
Anderson: No I'm not, but I'm looking for the opportunity to, yes.
KYUK: Flip side question: what's been hardest or most stressful in the month and a half or so since you've been on the job?
KYUK: Is there anything else we haven't touched on that you think it's important for people to know about you, your leadership style or your plans for leading the Lower Kuskokwim School District?
Anderson: I would, I think, just add how, I'm grateful to be here. I appreciate tremendously the commitments to education, in this case, but also the resilience of this community and the communities of the region to continually just forge ahead and believe in themselves and their futures. That's tremendously inspiring to me, and I am really, really glad to be able to participate in that kind of belief and commitment to each other.
KYUK: Well, thank you very much for your time and good luck in your first year on the job.
Anderson: Thank you very much. It's a pleasure.

The teen showed off their midriff ever so slightly with the tee choice
rocking some black boxers peeking through their wide-leg gray wash jeans
BACKGRIDAs far as accessories go, Emme stuck to their trusty black glasses and matching ear tunnels for their stretched ears, as well as a light brown thin belt, Chuck Taylor All Star sneakers
and a silver carabiner hanging from their belt loop with their wallet and a little banana-shaped charm
Jennifer López matched her child also wearing wide-leg pants, but opted for a classic light wash blue hue instead, which she paired with a simple loose white tee. On her feet, she wore platform UGG boots
She also added a navy Prada workwear jacket and a black carry-all handbag from Dior
plus some gold jewelry contrasting Emme's silver choices

Hannibal Buress is opening up a new venue called Isola Brooklyn in the former home of the Knitting Factory on Metropolitan Avenue in Williamsburg. The Knitting Factory, where Buress used to regularly perform, closed in 2022 after facing a 75 percent rent increase. “Good luck to whoever wants to take the space,” Morgan Margolis, the Knitting Factory’s CEO said at the time
occupying what was once the Pyramid Club on Avenue A in a collaboration with Baby’s All Right called Night Club 101.)
but it’s nice that the old Knitting Factory will remain a performance space rather than becoming like a second Aesop or something
with a performance from Buress (makes sense) and “surprise special guests.”
Perhaps like Pete Davidson and Colin Jost before him, he thought opening a venue would be easier. “Getting this venue open took way longer than I thought and it was more expensive than I imagined,” Buress told Brooklyn Vegan. “I’m excited to move past the construction phase and get to putting on events.” (At least this one is on land.)

Azotea also emphasized the importance of Proposition B
a measure that would give the city more access to equipment and supplies
in regards to our city equipment and supplies
there has been many times where we'll put bids out on whatever equipment and we get no bids
so certain jobs can't get done," Azotea explained
Riley said she also hopes to continue fostering effective communication with citizens and the community
the city council members have come together better than they have in the past
Everything's always open for improvement

(KHQA) — Hannibal Public Schools decided on Tuesday
that they will be closing Eugene Field Elementary School
and move forward with just four elementary schools next year
It was a decision that had seen weeks of buildup and discussion
as the board had to choose between leaving students and teachers in place by keeping the school open or help a hurting budget by closing it down
The motion to close down the school passed 4-3
you have to make hard decisions for reasons you know helps the bigger portion of the district
And this was a hard one," Superintendent Susan Johnson said
One of the biggest factors in the decision was the district seeing less revenue come in than what they need
"Because of needing to really get our reserves where they need to be
The decision brought out emotions for many who were sitting in the audience
"I've spoken to many members of the community
and the general consensus is that something of value should be returned
What exactly that looks like is up to the major stakeholders in the community and [the board members] are one of them," Hannibal resident Soshia Tymchek said
A call was also made to the board to make progress within the district
and then believe you can leave it here in this room
and you help us," Hannibal resident LaQuicia Ward said
While students will be moved to different schools following the closing
where the teachers move may be determined by things like class sizes and what positions come open due to retirement and teachers leaving the district

While there have certainly been some interesting contenders
there has just never been a TV show quite like NBC's "Hannibal." The series began as something of a procedural
following a special FBI team working with criminal profiling instructor Will Graham (Hugh Dancy)
whose empathy allows him to truly get into the minds of the killers he hunts
When he teams up with the talented psychologist Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen)
the show transforms from a procedural with a "murder of the week" format to something much more unconventional
Showrunner Bryan Fuller helped shape the series into a sumptuous
indulgent creation that followed a tragic romance between its two leads
spawning entire bookshelves' worth of fanfiction
It's a brilliant adaptation of author Thomas Harris' Hannibal Lecter novels
giving Lecter new depth and a surprising sensuality that was missing from other iterations
Trying to rank the three seasons is like trying to choose between my (imaginary) children
but there are elements of each season that make them stand above or below the others
"Hannibal" seasons are like pizza: even if it's not perfect
And though Hannibal himself might disagree
taste is subjective and the things that make one season better to me might make them worse to someone else
here is my ranking of the "Hannibal" seasons from worst to best
The season also introduces us to the complicated Verger family
While Katharine Isabelle is incredible as sister Margot
Michael Pitt is a bit too arch as brother Mason
The character is pretty ridiculous as written
drinking children's tears out of a martini glass
I would be remiss if I didn't mention that the season finale
"Mizumono," is easily among the best in the series
Season 1 of "Hannibal" is pretty impressive. It not only introduces the complicated characters and weird, violent world of the series brilliantly, but it also serves as a pretty perfect procedural
Almost all of season 1 follows the "murder of the week" format
complete with disgusting new corpse tableaus each episode and murderous mysteries to solve
The series' campier side also works great as comic relief
As the season progresses and the FBI tries to catch the Chesapeake Ripper and his copycat killer (both are actually Hannibal) things get more complicated and the procedural element loses focus
but honestly it would have been great to see at least another whole season of the procedural episodes before Will's encephalitis and Hannibal's manipulation became the focus
The first season also features some truly memorable villains
like Molly Shannon as a woman who convinces kids to kill their families in "Ouef," which didn't air in the U.S
because of its proximity in time to the Sandy Hook school shooting
who turns his victims into musical instruments in the intense but incredible "Fromage." While season 1 lacks some of the depth of seasons 2 and 3
it still makes for excellent television that elevates the police procedural into an operatic
Some fans felt frustrated by season 3 of "Hannibal" because it slowed things down a bit
moving away from the procedural format almost entirely and taking about half of the cast to Florence for some Italian crime-solving
drawing from Harris's novel "Hannibal." The first half of the season sticks around Florence
and while it's not as eventful as what came before
I could watch Bedelia (Gillian Anderson) shop for groceries in a little store and walk around the cobblestone streets for hours
But it's when everyone gets back to the U.S
adapting Harris's "Red Dragon." Even if someone hated the Florence half of season 3
Fuller's take on "Red Dragon" is beyond exquisite and more than makes up for it
Leaning into the homoerotic subtext of earlier seasons
Will and Hannibal finally have their dance of death as they circle serial killer Francis Dolarhyde (Richard Armitage)
while Rutina Wesley is devastating as his blind but capable love interest
They also wisely don't kill off Freddie Lounds (the magnificent Lara Jean Chorostecki)
who has an expanded role and was changed from a man to a woman (and made significantly less slimy)
And while Will and Hannibal don't get their happy ending
Alana Bloom (Caroline Dhavernas) get to live happily ever after
a rarity for queer characters in television
"Hannibal" was a luxurious, indulgent television series that followed its tortured murder-daddies into the darkness. In a perfect world, there would be more
