And when it comes to having a pig as a pet
They like to sleep in bed with their pet parents – if allowed
But they need more attention than a cat or they’ll get into things
“They need stimulation,” said Sam Lyons of NY Teacup Piggies
they will get the “zoomies” and zip around the house
“It’s nice to have a friend (another pig) if they’re alone a lot.”
Lyons recently visited the Kenilworth Public Library to give children an opportunity to learn more about teacup pigs
They were also able to have a photo op with them
NY Teacup Piggies is an organization that breeds healthy and happy mini-pigs
these pigs will be the size of a Corgi – about a foot long and 30 to 38 pounds
Lyons had been working with animals for more than 10 years
She said the pigs “snuggle like a baby to feel safe.” They eat corn
Pigs are very “food motivated,” said Lyons
they will ring it if they want to go outside
“We want to give as many personal experiences as possible with animals,” she said
providing therapy to others through comfort
Scientific research has shown that pig therapy can assist in lower blood pressure

- Southbound traffic on Kenilworth Drive will be directed to turn left onto Ridge Road
- Only residents of the first two homes on Crest Drive will have access to Kenilworth Drive
- Traffic from Ridge Road will be required to turn right onto Kenilworth Drive
A map illustrating the road closures is being prepared and will be posted once completed
Revlon is heading to Onyx Equities’ Northeast Science and Technology Center in Kenilworth
where it will lease 62,000 square feet for its New Jersey-based research and development hub
the cosmetics giant will move its research labs
pilot manufacturing and office functions to the 108-acre campus on Galloping Hill Road
The facility will occupy part of a 1.2 million-square-foot building now known as 15 NEST
which up until recently served as Merck & Co.’s global research headquarters
Machine Investment Group and Pivot Real Estate Partners acquired the 2 million-square-foot complex from Merck early last year
with plans to reposition it as a multitenant property
That plan has largely hinged on the turnkey office
lab and biomanufacturing space left by the pharmaceutical company
and Tuesday’s announcement noted that Revlon will be the first tenant to occupy 15 NEST since Merck’s departure earlier this year
“Revlon selected NEST for its existing lab infrastructure
which will help us further amplify our innovation capabilities
and provide a state-of-the-art setting to meet our specific R&D needs,” said Lise Jorgensen
“This substantial investment in our R&D capabilities marks a critical and exciting step in Revlon’s future and reinforces our commitment to develop the most advanced consumer-inspired products for our brands around the world.”
Revlon’s decision comes less than a month after Onyx announced that CoreWeave
a cloud computing startup backed by Nvidia
would lease 280,000 square feet at the campus for a new $1 billion data center
JLL represented ownership in the latest deal
while Newmark Executive Managing Director Daniel Levine and Managing Director Dan Reider represented Revlon
Rock Brook is the MEP/FP engineer for the new facility
“Revlon’s decision to join NEST is an exciting step towards our vision of a dynamic
innovation ecosystem,” said Matthew Flath
Onyx Equities’ senior vice president for asset management
“With their decades-long legacy in beauty and personal care
Revlon complements the forward-thinking research environment at NEST and is helping to establish a community where leading science and technology companies unite to innovate
thrive and elevate industry standards.”

A host of famous names appeared on ballot papers across the country as voters went to the polls
I would like to be emailed about offers, events and updates from The Independent. Read our Privacy notice
Local councillors are usually obscure figures
passionate local activists hoping to improve their areas or ambitious party loyalists wanting to climb the electoral ladder
But among the thousands of councillors who stood across the country on Thursday
From Olympians to former Love Island stars, The Independent looks at whether celebrity power helped the candidates over the line in one of the most unpredictable sets of local elections in British history
Stiliyan Petrov, the son of an ex-Aston Villa and Bulgaria captain of the same name, stood for Reform UK.
The son of Bulgaria’s most capped player, he hoped to represent Nigel Farage’s party in Lapworth & West Kenilworth
But he was beaten by the Green Party candidate
James Cracknell stood for a seat on Oxfordshire County Council
The double Olympic gold medal-winning rower represented the Conservatives in Henley
having previously attempted to become the area’s MP
Awarded an OBE for “services to sport” in the 2005 New Year Honours list
he promised to help the area “get its buzz back”
But he came second to a candidate from Henley Residents Group
Reform UK’s candidate to be the new mayor of Hull and East Yorkshire is also an Olympic gold medalist
said Hull and East Yorkshire has “given me everything” and that he now wants to fight for the region in return
winning more than 10,000 more votes than his nearest rival
The Love Island star hoped to strike it lucky with voters and win a Reform UK seat on Cornwall council
Ollie Williams appeared on the ITV dating show in 2020
but left after just three days claiming he had feelings for another woman
The 29-year-old sparked fury among viewers as photos emerged of him posing beside dead animals
leading to suggestions he was “trophy hunting”
He has avoided the limelight in the years since his appearance on the ITV show
but stood for Reform in the Lostwithiel and Lanreath ward
claiming “freedom of speech and society has been eroded for far too long and it’s time to act”
He was defeated by the Lib Dem candidate Sarah Preece
Self-styled “Brexit bad boy” Arron Banks co-founded the Leave.EU campaign alongside now Reform UK deputy leader Richard Tice
The long-standing Farage supporter ran to become the West of England mayor for his party
Announcing his candidacy at Reform’s local election launch in Birmingham, he called on people to “vote Banksy for Bristol”. As well as being close to Mr Farage, Mr Banks has a history of ties to Donald Trump and was pictured with him after the US Presidential election in 2016
He has cited Mr Trump’s success as being the result of connecting with voters on an emotional level
Mr Banks and Mr Farage drew the interest of Robert Mueller as part of his investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election. Mr Banks described the investigation as a “witch hunt”.
Mr Banks also made headlines after the murder of Labour MP Jo Cox in 2016. At the time, he commissioned a controversial poll on whether her murder had affected public opinion on voting.
He was defeated by the Labour candidate Helen Godwin.

A new $1 billion data center is coming to the Northeast Science & Technology Center — the sprawling former Merck & Co
campus in Kenilworth — where cloud computing firm CoreWeave has signed a long-term lease with Onyx Equities and Machine Investment Group
the startup plans to convert a 280,000-square-foot former lab and manufacturing building at the 2 million-square-foot complex on Galloping Hill Road
It’s part of a planned $1.2 billion investment by Roseland-based CoreWeave
a key player in artificial intelligence that is backed by the chip giant Nvidia
paving the way for the firm’s first data center in New Jersey
also expects to spend more than $50 million on the project
“CoreWeave’s commitment to invest over a billion dollars at the NEST campus demonstrates New Jersey’s leading role in artificial intelligence
and our innovation strategies are working,” Gov
