He says the parking space patio's are much more as those spaces wouldn't be available to drivers what it does is planters will go in place down where the parking they'll have a patio out on the sidewalk and into the road." Ramos tells KRIS 6 News she understands many teachers do everything they can for students but recognizes teachers can only do so much with limited resources Ramos removed her son from the school district "I would definitely take my child back to Kingsville ISD if they had the proper resources in place asked other parents on social media about their thoughts on the "F" rating "I don't feel this rating is a fair reflection of all the kids in the district that are great kids," Linda Garcia commented "Two of my kids will be withdrawn from KISD for the following school year I'm honestly over it," Koryn Knittel wrote but what I will say is that the school has so much to offer," Prisma Morales posted the rating measures a student's performance in their current grade and if they are ready to move onto the next one It also shows how the district or school prepares the student for the next step in life after graduating high school I wouldn't run for the hills or anything,” Ramos said “I believe that there are wonderful teachers there They have a lot of teachers that have master's degrees If we can get those resources in place and get leadership involved then the school district will become better." Rogers says there are several municipalities in Ontario that have the tax He says town staff would recommend the tax amount it's just the matter how the program looks and if council supports it," he says "What this tax does is that those who are visiting the region or visiting the municipality are paying this percentage and those dollars go towards tourism So it can offset local tax dollar funded tourism department."                Rogers says tax amounts across the province range between four and six per cent In Windsor On April 1 According to longtime neighbors in Kingsville “There’s definitely a history of crime downtown," Kudos Coffee owner Cyrus Obregon said from cars being stolen and even fellow businesses being robbed “Once every year or every couple of years the owner right here across the street has some issues with kids breaking into her shop and stuff like that," he said when speaking about crime downtown "I know Oliver’s Jewelry down the street had a break-in about a year or so ago." The Kingsville Police Department got a wind of this and with the help of their license plate readers (LPR's) they were able to arrest the criminal who stole from them “Because of (the readers) we were able to pinpoint the individual who was involved and the Kingsville Police Department ended up catching them with the jewelry in their vehicle," Kingsville Police Lieutenant Michael Chavana said Being able to read 2,000 plates per minute with an accuracy rate of 90% these LPR's can find out if a vehicle is stolen “We just had one that was caught on the highway that was wanted for murder in another state," Chavana said one of our officers was able to pick him up did the traffic stop and took him into custody." the department plans to add more vehicles to keep neighbors here safe When KRIS 6 Neighborhood News reporter Tyrese Boone spoke with neighbors here they said they are happy about the new equipment “Knowing there’s cameras other than what business owners might have in their business would help a lot," Obregon said "It’s a security for business owners mentally Texas — On this segment of Troubleshooters a young family hired a contractor in May to build a room addition and bath at their Kingsville home so the family called the Troubleshooters for help was to add a bedroom and bath onto her young family's Kingsville home because the family was about to grow by one They hired a contractor named Robert Loewe who owns a business called I Know a Guy Construction "He said he would have it done in 2 weeks," Sadie Salinas said "And we promised to pay the $4700.00 upfront and then the rest was going to be in payments after the project was done." The total cost for the job would be nearly $10,000.00 the work is nowhere close to being completed There are questions about the materials necessary for the job "So we would give him money and then he would say "I need it for diesel or I need to pay a bill or my electricity's gonna get turned off," she said There's an exchange where the Salinas' ask Loewe if he's going to keep his promises and show up and do the work i apologize for not being there today..." Then later "But I swear to you there was no communication from Loewe until the 13 I have been in the hospital with an eye injury." Loewe returned the call later on the same day the Troubleshooters visited the Salinas' His side of this situation is that he kept trying to work with the Salinas' money issues and that a Salinas family member interfered with Loewe and his workers So the Troubleshooters asked Salinas what she wanted at this point "I really want this done somehow or another even if we have to go through someone else because my kids deserve to have a room," she said it made me sad because she sees this now and she's like 'Mommy The Troubleshooters keep following this one and let you know what happens next whenever you have a story you'd us to look into just send an email to Troubleshooters @ KRISTV.com or call our hotline at 361-885-0100...and leave a short message.
