A man suffered severe burns Thursday afternoon when a boat parked in the yard of a residence caught fire in Lauderdale Lakes
The fire occurred just before 6:30 p.m. at a residence located in the 3500 block of Northwest 35th Street. Local10 and NBC Miami reported that upon arrival
emergency teams found a approximately 20-foot boat fully engulfed in flames
The firefighters managed to contain and extinguish the fire, which primarily affected the boat, causing minor damage to the adjacent house. According to WSVN
rescuers found a man at the scene with serious burns
He was attended to by paramedics and airlifted to Broward Health Medical Center
his medical condition had not been updated

stated that the wind made her fear the fire would reach other homes

– A South Florida animal rescue is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in a disturbing animal abuse case involving a female black Giant Schnauzer named Bibi
Employees with Big Dog Ranch Rescue said Bibi was brought in by the Broward County Animal Care and Adoption Division on April 3 after being found in the 4500 block of Northwest 36th Street in Lauderdale Lakes
They said Bibi was severely emaciated and suffering from multiple injuries
She currently cannot stand or walk without help
“This is the worst case of animal cruelty we’ve ever seen yet,” said Big Dog Ranch Rescue founder Lauree Simmons
This was definitely not related to a car accident and the abuser must be caught and prevented from doing this to other animals.”
The rescue organization has launched a “Justice for Bibi” campaign and is working closely with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to find the person responsible

(CBS12) — A Lauderdale Lakes man pleaded guilty on Wednesday morning to stealing over $158,000 in guns
and more from a home in Delray Beach over a year ago
The Delray Beach Police Department (DBPD) stated that on May 23
officers responded to a home burglary on Banyan Drive in Delray Beach
Officers reported meeting with a man who arrived at his parent's house to find their sliding door smashed open and multiple rooms ransacked
The home's surveillance footage showed that at approximately 4:32 p.m.
a stolen white BMW was seen pulling into the driveway
One suspect exited the vehicle and knocked on the front door
The probable cause affidavit states that moments later
was captured on camera with two accomplices approaching the rear of the home
They used an unknown object to break the sliding door leading to the master bedroom
Brown and the other two suspects were later seen leaving the home around 5:53 p.m
deputies from the Broward Sheriff's Office reported spotting the stolen BMW and apprehended Clinton Brown alongside the other suspects
Investigating officers found the victim's stolen items inside the vehicle
The victims reported that the total amount of items stolen was worth $158,335
Clinton arrived at Court in Palm Beach County on Wednesday morning and pleaded guilty

(CBS12) — Investigators in Broward County want to find the man accused of sexually assaulting an elderly woman near a Lauderdale Lakes intersection
the Broward County Sheriff’s Office (BSO) released two images of the man they are seeking in connection with the crime
authorities noted that the man is believed to be homeless
the 81-year-old victim was walking around 4:30 a.m
near the intersection of Northwest 50th Avenue and Northwest 34th Street when the man threw her to the ground and assaulted her
Two people heard the victim screaming for help and ran to see what was happening
They told investigators that they saw the man on top of the victim before he took off from the scene
detectives located the two images released Friday

The attack on Joffer is not the first time Hercules has been involved in violent incidents

– Deputies with the Broward Sheriff’s Office are investigating a potential coordinated package theft scheme in Lauderdale Lakes
Residents told Local 10 News on Tuesday that a woman and her accomplice were captured on surveillance camera stealing a delivery from a homeowner’s porch and also taking packages from delivery trucks in the area
The incident occurred about two weeks ago in the area of Northwest 36th Terrace and 29th Court
the woman casually walked past Glen Thurston’s home before returning to swipe a package from his doorstep
She quickly dashed away as a white SUV pulled up and appeared to toss the stolen package into the vehicle and jumped in before the pair drove off
Thurston reported that the woman and her accomplice were seen by residents after the pair were allegedly following delivery trucks and stealing packages shortly after being dropped off in the area
“In other cameras from my other neighbors and from the association
we saw the UPS truck going to another address and we saw that same white truck,” he said
Thurston told Local 10 News the package that was swiped was carrying a double-decker air fryer that he gifted to his mom
Authorities said surveillance footage from neighbors corroborates the incident
showing the same white SUV following UPS trucks in the area
Thurston has reached out to the Broward Sheriff’s Office
which is currently investigating the thefts
“I think I’m just going to have my orders delivered here to work.”
In a related incident, Local 10 News reported a similar package theft that occurred in Hialeah on Monday.
an unidentified man followed a FedEx driver and attempted to steal a package by pretending to be a resident
capturing a photo of the man’s vehicle and preventing the theft
while making a delivery on Friday afternoon
being approached by a man wearing a grey hoodie
Police said the man claimed to be the homeowner and wanted to take the packages
He asked the man to open the door to prove he lived there
“Open the door,” the delivery driver could be heard saying
who asked to be identified only by his first name

open the door and show me some ID and I’ll give you the phones,’” Anthony recalled
The man was then seen driving away in a red Hyundai
FedEx released a statement to Local 10 News regarding the incident
“The security of our customers’ shipments is our top priority
and we appreciate our courier’s quick actions to make sure the shipment was delivered to its intended recipient
We encourage any customer who believes a shipment has been stolen to immediately contact local law enforcement.”
