(WMBF) - Authorities in North Carolina have arrested a man connected to a deadly shooting from over the weekend. The Scotland County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to the Laurel Hill Food Mart late Sunday for a possible shooting. On the way there, however, they received another call about someone shot nearby on Pate Street. Deputies later found the victim, identified as 55-year-old Allen McKeznie, on Pate Street beside his truck with a gunshot wound. McKenzie was taken to a hospital, where he later died, according to the sheriff’s office. The suspect, 60-year-old David Wendell Chavis, was arrested and booked at the Scotland County Detention Center under no bond.
