Former Dancing With the Stars pro Lindsay Arnold who partnered with Hallmark this Mother’s day News her decision to document her breast augmentation surgery on social media Lindsay Arnold hopes that her openness is helping others "I knew full well I would get a lot of hate, and a lot of people sharing their opinions about it—mostly negative—but then a lot of positive," Lindsay told E! News in an exclusive interview. "I wanted people to know that I don't care if I'm going to get that because it's my body, it's my life, and that's how I want everyone to feel about their own body and their own lives." "It's something that I really wanted to do for me, truly for just me," the 31-year-old said of the surgery. "I want to help other people understand that it's OK to do that. It's OK to do things for yourself. It's not selfish. It's self-love, and I hope that it kind of helped remove some of that stigma around that surgery." And, ultimately, Lindsay's decision to be open about her breast augmentation reflects her broader approach to social media, which is to simply be her full, authentic self. "My whole mentality with social media is I'm always gonna show up and be myself," she explained. "I'm never gonna pretend. I don't wanna hide. That's just not who I am as a person, and so I've always known that I would never do that on social media." "But more importantly, I feel like it's so normal on social media now to judge others and the decisions that they make for their own selves, for their own bodies, for their lives," Lindsay continued, "and I just wanted to be somebody who shows that, one, it's gonna happen, but don't let that change your decisions and what you feel is best for you." Lindsay isn’t just spreading positivity online; she’s also doing so in real life by celebrating those around her—especially fellow moms that means sharing small tokens of appreciation which is why she teamed up with Hallmark for Mother’s Day “I'm very much a person that I want to make sure my gifts are meaningful and thoughtful—that they're not just a random thing,” she explained “I want it to be something that will help them feel really I'm always able to find something that is so specific and unique to each person that I'm looking to gift and I feel like that can be really hard to do.” Keep reading for more stars who have been open about undergoing plastic surgery.. Street NEWS: Long-Delayed USCG Polar Icebreaker Moves Into Full Production recently completed a repower of the Lindsay C Crowley Maritime commissioned 25 Invader-class tugs at the McDermott yard building a fleet that would become known for its speed and towing capabilities a firm that later became Nickum & Spaulding and eventually Elliott Bay Design Group The Invader-class shows a distinct West Coast influence intended for heavy-duty ocean towing operations Curtin Maritime purchased the Lindsay C in response to customer demand for faster barge transit times according to the company’s vice president of operations ‘You need to figure out the fastest possible solution … Get the fastest boat possible,’” said Henderson and it’d be a good match with the dimensions “We bought the boat in November of 2023 we had a PO [purchase order] for the engines cut in December and then we started all the engineering,” Henderson said “We’ve got a lidar laser scanner in house so we scanned the engine room to do 3D modeling and then started working on the engineering with a naval arch firm to make sure everything could fit And then we pulled the boat out of service in October 2024 which included a drydocking for propeller work and installation of a new sea chest.” Originally outfitted with two EMD 20-645-E5 engines producing a total of 7,200 hp the Invader-class are “high speed towing boats” said Josh Ellis Curtin’s senior vice president of marine transportation Ellis sailed on various Invader tugs during his 20-year tenure at Crowley before joining Curtin in 2023 “They’re known for both their free running speed and towing big barges at speed,” Ellis said.” He provided an example of their capabilities suggesting barge tonnage maxed out around 20,000 drawing 12 feet—that’s what they would tow making 10 knots,” he emphasized navigating several complex engineering challenges The original engines were replaced with new GE 8L250 engines requiring substantial reconfiguration of the engine beds “We had to re-engineer the engine beds for alignment and everything going from a V-style engine to an inline engine,” Curtin’s engineering manager cooling system modifications were extensive The old engines required so much cooling capacity that nearly the entire bottom of the boat was taken up by channel coolers The new Wabtec engines use a separate circuit cooling system with both jacket water and an aftercooling system Ellis spoke to the improved efficiency in the engine room design and fiddley space it’s almost like it should have always been built that way Everyone who’s been on an Invader comes into the Lindsay now is like this is so much nicer,’” he noted The new GE 8L250s offer roughly three additional feet of space in front of each engine “You can actually have a dance party down there now,” Taylor joked inverse weight differences between each engine had to be carefully balanced “The EMDs were around 35,000 pounds each and the new GE engines are closer to 60,000 pounds each,” said Taylor “Going from 20 cylinders down to eight you just gain that much more mass in the cylinder block.” roughly 500 hp less than the original EMD engines you can make it up in the prop pretty easily.” Initial sea trials with the boat have shown no loss in service speed Ellis spoke to the capacities of the Invader-class suggesting 70-to-75 tons of static bollard pull is “not that impressive” in relation to other builds “When you’re free running with a barge they can pretty much beat anything.” The advantage lies in dynamic bollard pull “That’s where we get into the conundrum of static bollard pull versus dynamic bollard pull and why the Invaders are so good at what they do 7,200 horsepower is not that much with a lot of other boats on the market that have more bollard pull but the Invaders can outperform them under real-world conditions,” he said “Tug performance is not just about raw horsepower Ellis said he witnessed another tug rated for 90 tons of bollard pull that could tow a 400'x100' light at a speed of only six-to-seven knots “If you grab a 4x1 empty with an Invader Additional Lindsay C upgrades included reworking the exhaust system to fit the new engines which required fabricating and installing new stacks and insulation to meet emissions and safety requirements The team also added a Tier 4 winch motor to the refurbished Markey winch and installed new industrial Tier 4 6068 John Deere generators keeping the original Allison transmission and fabricating an adapter plate to fit Curtin’s carpenters also completely rebuilt the wheelhouse including a full rewire with primarily Furuno electronics When asked about the 50-year-old vessel’s hull condition Ellis emphasized the rolled-plate steel that comprises it “You can go down to reduce scantlings and still run them,” he said of the tug design before noting that building an Invader-class design today would ring in around $38 million you just couldn’t afford to build a modern one,” he said highlighting the 1.25” steel cap rail on the bulwarks The 136'2.5"x36.5'x19'2" Lindsay C completed sea trials in late March 2025 and is returning to active duty at the time of writing in April “She wrapped up sea trials last week but she’ll be getting back underway for another job this weekend,” Henderson concluded Ben Hayden is a Maine resident News Arnold says that she hopes she can help remove the "stigma" of plastic surgery especially because going into the procedure she knew she "would get a lot of hate" from people about what she was choosing to do "I knew full well I would get a lot of hate and a lot of people sharing their opinions about it — mostly negative," said Arnold though she did acknowledge that some of her fans were super supportive But she wants people to know that she doesn't care about the haters because it's her body "I don't care if I'm going to get [the hate] because it's my body and that's how I want everyone to feel about their own body and their own lives," said the professional dancer "It's something that I really wanted to do for me I want to help other people understand that it's OK to do that and I hope that it kind of helped remove some of that stigma around that surgery." Arnold went on to say that she just wants to be her authentic self on social media and part of that is being open and honest about getting breast augmentation surgery "My whole mentality with social media is I'm always gonna show up and be myself and so I've always known that I would never do that on social media," said Arnold I feel like it's so normal on social media now to judge others and the decisions that they make for their own selves and I just wanted to be somebody who shows that but don't let that change your decisions and what you feel is best for you." "Don't let the outside noise get to you Arnold was last seen on Dancing With the Stars in season 30 with partner Matt James. She previously won the Mirrorball in season 25 with partner Jordan Fisher. She told People that her decision to step away was so that she could spend more time with her daughters "A lot of my priorities and where I wanted to spend my time… it just shifted," said Arnold Time goes 10 times faster when you have kids and I just know that this time is so precious and something that you don't get back." appearing as a pro on the show first in the "Juniors" season and now as a full-fledged pro in seasons 32 and 33 Rylee and partner Stephen Nedoroscik finished in fourth place Dancing With the Stars returns in fall 2025 with its 34th season on ABC and Hulu Walt was a Master carpenter and took great pride in his work He loved good conversation and political debate never hesitant to share his opinions.     Walt is survived by his wife and love of his life Tammy Smith Lindsay; his daughters Heather Liberty and Isabella; his great-granddaughter Wrenley; and his sisters Beckey (deceased) none closer than his 'brothers from another mother' Mark Mooney and Curtie Brown Though he enjoyed working for folks (Betty Jackson Green he loved you best but don't tell the rest) he was a home body His happy place was home with his family and his beloved cats.     We invite you to join us as we celebrate Walt's life at 11 a m Monday April 7th at the Old Miners' Cemetery/McMicken residence on Price Hill 2025 at 11:00 am CDTExpandLindsay Ingemunson School: Yorkville Why she was selected: Ingemunson scored four goals and assisted a fifth goal in Yorkville’s 5-1 win over Joliet Central She was selected the Athlete of the Week in an online vote Here is her interview with Sports Editor Joshua Welge is that the most goals you’ve had in a game this season Ingemunson: Yes my four-goal game is the most goals I’ve had in a game this season The goal that probably sticks out to me the most is my fourth goal A minutes prior during halftime [Yorkville] coach [Lauren] Hoppensteadt gave me great insight about how to finish my shots more consistently and as soon as I made that correction the ball ended up in the back of the net Your coach said you’ve had a “breakout season” Are you surprised at all at your success Ingemunson: My goal going into the season was to not only have moments of individual success but ultimately do anything I could to help the team be successful So far this season we have shown improvement as a team Many of our games have been hard fought battles that ultimately have not ended our way but that has not changed the team’s drive to keep fighting for more wins I’m really excited to see the program develop in the next two years Ingemunson: I did not play high school soccer last year due to prior commitments from my club team but I knew for sure I would be playing for my high school team the next three years How did you get started in soccer and when Ingemunson: I first started playing soccer when I was about five or six years old I began playing in a local recreational league and after about three years I transitioned to a club team Since I grew up being a very competitive person some of the things I love most about the sport is being able to compete to be better than myself day after day and to see hard work pay off when the ball ends up in the back of the net I also value the relationships the sport has brought me through the years with coaches and teammates Ingemunson: I tried out many different sports growing up but the three that stuck with me the longest were basketball Ultimately I always knew soccer was my top priority I stopped playing volleyball after middle school because it had too many conflicts with my fall soccer season but I’ve continued to play basketball into high school Playing multiple sports has given me many different perspectives as an athlete and I am so thankful I was able to have those opportunities What are your goals for the rest of the season Ingemunson: My goal for the team going into the rest of the season is to continue to grow on and off the field while working to improve our record Many games we are close to pulling out the win but aren’t able to finish our scoring opportunities I think continuing to work together in finding ways to execute will bring us the most success going forward Joshua WelgeI am the Sports Editor for Kendall County Newspapers, the Kane County Chronicle and Suburban Life Media, covering primarily sports in Kendall, Kane, DuPage and western Cook counties. season as somebody on the Gophers and just shoot and shoot and shoot and shoot and practice and shoot I knew I could get a scholarship and my parents wouldn't have to pay for college I kind of realized I could play in the WNBA after my sophomore year of college Minnesota Lynx assistant coach Lindsay Whalen sits down for lunch with Minnesota Now host Nina Moini at The Freehouse on March 14 in Minneapolis.Ellen Schmidt for MPR NewsWhat do you like about coaching versus playing? The difference of playing and coaching is you have to be kind of two steps ahead of what's happening in practice you're just kind of reacting to what the coach is telling you to do So as a coach you have to be thinking ahead There's also like a psychology piece to it Because you're not going to feel great every day That's why it's great to have a team I was winding down my playing career with the Lynx I just figured I'll do this for the next 20 years of my life and I'm gonna be this great coach that has this lifetime career at the U of M And obviously it didn't work out that way When it was all said and done with coaching at the U of M It was the lead-up and then probably the first two weeks after How it all transpired in those meetings to make a coaching change make a leadership change from the administration I am who I am in the state where nobody wants to mishandle situations I played for the Lynx and coached the Gophers I never really was able to digest my playing career because there were six months there where I was doing two things and it was just too much there's nothing better than being a part of a team That's just what I know the most about I'm where I'm supposed to be and in the role I'm supposed to be to be back in a really fun environment around basketball So I think just like being a part of a team that's just kind of that joy back around being in a team around basketball Minnesota Lynx assistant coach Lindsay Whalen sits down for lunch with Minnesota Now host Nina Moini.Ellen Schmidt for MPR NewsThe Last Bite: What are the ingredients to being a good member of a team?I think that every day So I think just being as consistent to whatever that is that you bring to the table There’s enough external things that can happen There’s enough variables that can happen outside of your control that if you can be more the most consistent person and the most consistent teams those are the ones that like consistently have success And things might change throughout the year I think if you just start with being positive and being somebody who brings a lot of energy I think that that’s a good starting place to being a good teammate  Lynn West Lindsay was surrounded by family as he passed from this life after a courageous battle with a lung condition on January 10 you get to work with someone who’s been such a big part of your life on a personal level,” Lohan tells EW of making the sequel with Curtis The 'Dancing With the Stars' alum has been married to husband Samuel Lightner Cusick since 2015 Adam Taylor/Disney General Entertainment Content via Getty  Days before the final game of the 2003 season the realization finally sank in for Lindsay Delaney (née Hanson) She always had the mindset of looking toward the future but as a senior with only one game remaining on the schedule named the 2003 Division III Defensive Player of the Year by the Women’s Lacrosse Club of South Jersey that this would be the last competitive lacrosse game of her career teammate and future Rowan Hall of Famer Maggie Goodman Reed to talk about how she couldn’t believe that would be it In that contest against Salisbury — which eventually played in the NCAA tournament regional final — Goodman Reed scored multiple goals Delaney can remember the visual of her friend pointing across the field to her after each score but Delaney said the effort of her teammates was the best end-of-year gift she could have received She knew Rowan would be OK without her in the future was that Rowan wouldn’t be without her for very long serving as an assistant coach for three years before becoming the program’s head coach in 2008 The 2025 season is her 18th in charge of the Profs the second-most in program history behind her own coach and the team has gotten off to the best start ever “I couldn’t imagine my life without Rowan in it,” Delaney said “I feel so proud to be a part of this program as an alum but also so lucky and honored that they chose me in the first place really hard for the girls and give them my best effort Delaney wanted two things from her college experience: she wanted to play both lacrosse and field hockey and she wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps and be a teacher and coach taught and coached football at Camden (N.J.) High School one that was compassionate toward his players When Delaney went through the recruiting process Rowan was the only school that gave her the opportunity to play both sports Rowan has a highly regarded teacher education program I couldn’t imagine my life without Rowan in it Delaney got a high school teaching job at her alma mater and Marino asked her to stay on at Rowan as a part-time assistant She wasn’t the heir apparent to the position The athletic department told her she would have to go through the process like any other applicant eventually chose Delaney as Marino’s successor She still feels an immense amount of self-inflicted pressure I knew the school and I knew the kids that went there I knew we could compete at the highest level.” Delaney is the winningest head coach in Rowan history She’s taken her teams to six NCAA tournaments four of which came in her first four seasons Her defenses have recorded two of the only three shutouts in team history Her teams have set single-season records for goals scored (302 in 2023) and team wins (14 in 2018 and 2023) Rowan won the first eight contests of the year setting a new record for the best start to a season The Profs are now 9-1 with the bulk of their NJAC schedule on the way who has broken program records for caused turnovers and draw controls in a career said Delaney has helped her make such big individual contributions “She has given me the complete freedom to play my style I think she’s completely let me do my own thing The fondness players have for Delaney extends beyond the playing field she invites the team to her house for a barbecue and party — “the last moment the team each year all gets to spend together.” Green said it would be easy to do something at school or in the locker room but the fact she hosts everyone at her own home shows how much she cares Delaney has been fortunate enough to celebrate with her players she got to meet the newborn daughter of one of her 2016 graduates She’s been there for the difficult moments She’s helping one of her former players through a divorce She also helped graduate student and captain Sophia Schiavo get through one of the toughest moments in her life One week after the completion of Schiavo’s junior year was riding his bike when he was hit by a car She described it as a “life or death” moment Schiavo said she felt selfish celebrating her successful season while her brother fought for his life but she said Delaney talked with her about the importance of mental health and her coach told her something she will never forget “Talking to somebody doesn’t show signs of weakness “The amount of support that I felt from her alone was just immense It was something I could never imagine getting from a coach somebody that’s outside your family but makes you feel like family because of everything they’ve done for you.” but she and her family are just grateful he is still alive Delaney is used to a coach’s players being a part of the family She grew up with her father’s football players as part of her world Three alumnae still have keys to her house after babysitting her son once they graduated Delaney takes pride in being someone her players no matter how long it’s been since they last talked It’s important to her because in the same way she supports her players her players supported her when she needed it most got a blood infection and passed in three days “I want them to know they can always come home that Rowan is always going to be there,” she said They’ve all been there for me in my lowest moment … We know the program is about more than wins and losses.” the eight victories to start 2025 already matched last year’s win total The Profs have victories over Stevens and Christopher Newport programs they lost to a year ago and are perennially ranked nationally Schiavo planned to stop playing after last year but returned for a fifth season because she knew it could be a special year with so much talent coming back She’s glad the team has produced a product to make Delaney proud “She’s always been a great mentor for me,” she said “I’m not only happy for the girls we get to experience this together but I’m happy for her that she finally gets the wins attached to her name and gets the credit she deserves.” Delaney said she’s just part of the program and that there have been so many great people involved in her journey She credited to her players and her assistants The latter was the 2011 NJAC Defensive Player of the Year and one of Delaney’s former players She’s one of the many Delaney protégés that have gone on to coach lacrosse at some level Delaney went back and counted 42 former players that went on to be coaches at the college Some of them went back home to Rowan just like she did “I get to coach at the place I love,” she said “These girls and women on this team are just great kids USA Lacrosse is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt charitable organization (EIN 52-1765246) We
