Ohio (WKEF) -- Storm cleanup still well underway after strong winds Tuesday caused widespread damage
Miamisburg resident Jean Yoweiela only had to sweep her front porch and get rid of a couple branches that broke off from her tree
Some trees around her and in other parts of the city were still visibly damaged Wednesday
Yoweiela could only describe it as unbelievable
"There was one down a couple down on First Street
I've lived in Florida and I've never seen it uproot a tree like that."
Michael Gray and his father run Gray's Tree Experts
One of a few tree companies responding to several calls of trees that fell on power lines and damaged property
"The city had to come and block the road off
So we got over here first thing this morning," said Gray
Gray says this storm wasn't as bad as a few months ago when they worked to clean up at least 20 that were on people's houses
His best advice is if you have a lot of trees around get them trimmed back and away from lines
"If you notice there's no leaves on the canopy
With root damage you got to think that's the anchor base of the tree itself
So the best thing to do is called a certified arborist," Gray said

Ohio (WKEF)-- The City of Miamisburg welcomed the Deer Valley community
Kysha Hancock spoke with Chris Fine about the growth and development in the area and what it means for the City of Miamisburg
Miamisburg has seen tons of new developments and projects with park and road improvements
bus stop upgrades and now their newest project
"Deer valley has been a project kind of on the book so to speak
but during some financial recessions and housing issues
The new community will include nearly 200 single- family homes Fine told Hancock 194 of those homes will be Ryan Homes
while the other six will be designed by custom home builders
He said this project is essential to the growing community
"It's right on the edge of where the city had grown along Benner road there
the developer had come in and requested a rezoning
We recognize in the Miami Valley that housing is a big need...there's a shortage of housing in the area," said Fine
Sixteen homes have already been sold in just the first 30 days of the community opening
Fine said they’re looking ahead to a successful future with sales
"Deer Valley was just the third of three residential communities we've approved here in the last two or three years...it is the last to get started
but so far I think they're optimistic about the sales and how quickly they can build that out," said Fine

32-year-old Dametrius Turner appeared via video from Montgomery County Jail
of Dayton and Turner got into a fight around 9 p.m
March 12 inside a home in the 700 block of Golden Arrow Court where police said she was shot multiple times

UPDATE: The Miamisburg Police Department gave an update in the afternoon on Thursday
Chief Brem said Turner was walking along Blossom Hill and South Elm Street in West Carrollton when community members spotted him after seeing his picture in a social media post
"Officers and detectives have spent the last 13 hours on a manhunt looking for him
We could not have done this without the community's help
Quick action by a couple walking down the sidewalk who called the police made this happen," said Chief Brem
Turner had met her at some point in the last week or two
but we're not sure," said Chief Brem
Police believe Turner was staying at the home and brought Ross there where she was possibly staying as well
Chief Brem said it is possible drugs could have been involved
The homeowner was arrested for an outstanding warrant for felony drugs but nothing related to the murder
but the police department has a history with the house
Police are still looking into Turner's background and what could have led to the incident
We know he's spent some time as a resident of Indiana
possibly Arizona and there's a couple other states as well," said Chief Brem
they were in contact with Miamisburg City School District's Superintendent
Chief Brem said he is thankful to everyone who helped catch Turner
our officers are out there chasing a guy that just killed somebody
We didn't know if he had a gun on him
all these things are going through our head at the same time
trying to keep the community safe," said Chief Brem
Police have not found the murder weapon yet
Turner is being held at the Montgomery County Jail on one count of murder pending formal charges
Chief Brem said police are still trying to find evidence related to the crime
