a discipline that requires the same dedication and fearlessness that fuels his musical ambition

01:52pm EDTShareSaveCommentRed Bull signed NWSL rising star Olivia Moultrie to its roster of global athletes
Olivia Moultrie has been breaking barriers in soccer for the majority of her life
making her the youngest female professional team-sport athlete in U.S
she filed an antitrust lawsuit against the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) that successfully removed the league’s age limit and allowed her to become the youngest player in NWSL history
Moultrie won an NWSL Championship with the Portland Thorns
“It’s always been important for me to fight for equal opportunity
because I feel like that’s what we needed to be able to showcase how amazing female athletes are.”
Now at 19, Moultrie has just signed a major brand sponsorship deal with Red Bull
Moultrie is joining the brand’s global roster of elite athletes who embody the brand’s passion for “pushing limits and redefining possibilities.” For Red Bull
Moultrie represents the next generation of the sport: bold
and ready to make an impact both on and off the field
“I feel like [Red Bull] really embodies the things that I think about in terms of being a professional and just striving for more all the time,” said Moultrie
That's extremely exciting for me because I'm somebody who's very ambitious and so having a brand that backs me
plus access to experts who develop customized exercise programs and strategies for Red Bull’s athletes
brands specifically investing in women’s sports and athletes just makes sense
“I think it’s good business to invest in women's sports because we are entertaining and we are incredible athletes,” said Moultrie
“We've put the same amount of work into what we do to become what we are
and then just get to watch us do what we're great at.”
measured that TV advertisers spent $244 million on women’s sports placements in 2024
“I think that's how women's sports will continue to grow: through equal opportunity,” said Moultrie

My beautiful daughter was called home way too soon
She will dearly be missed by family & friends
She had such special qualities that I admired
She was employed at the Marriott for about 7 years
She also was an entrepreneur with her own business doing graphic design
She loved to spend time with him doing homework
educational activities & just having fun
She also loved creating his costumes for school activities and spending time with family & friends
you’ll be remembered & loved.

My son got a C in a class he worked so hard in
Shouldn’t a child’s grade better reflect their effort
One of the first lessons I learned as a teacher is not to denigrate a student's poor effort
Two students constructed a mobile — evidently with their left hands while riding the bus
I noted I was disappointed in their effort
Their moms were equally disappointed in me: "How dare you question their effort
Realizing that the next 30 years were going to be a nightmare if I continued to question students' effort
I turned to a practice that has since become standard in schools: developing rubrics — scoring guides that lay out clear expectations for assignments and tasks
Rubrics allow teachers to assess student work objectively without making assumptions about their effort
School is about learning skills and content
Grades aren’t based on who tries the hardest
Some students can write a perfect essay on their first draft — should we mark them down for low effort
Others labor for hours to barely pass — do they deserve the same grade as those who completely master the material
but the rubric or answer key still gives him a bad grade
Ask any athlete who has practiced and competed their heart out only to lose the game
Just because he’s at his desk doesn't mean he's working efficiently
• Are you basing the child’s hard work on his own assessment
Kids often confuse the intention to work hard with actual hard work
yet still not approach the daily effort required for the six-week duration of the project
I recently saw a student studying for a quiz by rewriting the entire chapter by hand
That's a lot of work for very little return
Re-reading the chapter or taking notes would be more efficient
it will take 9(!) perfect scores to raise that single zero to an A
Two friends spending 4 hours on a project can easily include 3.5 hours of socializing
Students can spend hours writing a perfect essay
One misinterpretation can send an entire project off course
• Is the child’s effort properly distributed
Say an assignment requires kids to research a topic and make a poster on it
A child might spend next to no time on the research and six hours on the poster because they enjoy drawing
there’s nothing wrong with working hard at something we’re not very good at only to barely meet the benchmark
My lowest grades in school were in Spanish 3 and Chemistry — the two courses where I exerted the most effort
I was proud of those C’s because of how hard I worked
So if your child is genuinely working hard and can only eke out C’s
it would be better to show pride in your son than resentment for his teachers

“The Moultrie Courthouse renovations turned out really nice
Cellular trail cameras have become a large—and vital—part of deer hunters’ strategies
Their convenience alone is undeniably effective
Weekend warriors can keep tabs on deer while they’re stuck in their nine-to-fives
and even the most dedicated scent freaks can stay out of their spots until it’s time to make a move
While cell cams are not without their faults, the Moultrie Mobile Edge 2 Pro boasts a ton of features
including a user-friendly app and connection to the best available cell carrier
Improvements from the original Edge Pro include a faster trigger speed
I’ve been running the original Edge and Edge Pro for the past few seasons
While I’ve been more than pleased with these cameras
Moultrie’s latest rendition makes a great cell cam even better
Here are my initial thoughts from testing the new Moultrie Mobile Edge 2 Pro
I’ve been testing the Moultrie Mobile Edge 2 Pro for several weeks
and I’ve been impressed with the upgrades
Both the photo and video quality got a boost from 36MP to 40 MP and 1080p to 1440p
you’ll notice clearer pictures and video with the Edge 2 Pro
and I can’t tell you how many sticks I’ve sacrificed to position a camera just right
Moultrie included an Easy Aim Mount with the Edge 2 Pro
I don’t know why they don’t come standard with any camera
Moultrie Mobile rolled out the Live Aim feature with the original Edge Pro
which eliminates the headache of finding the perfect position for your camera
the Element’s Tyler Jones highlighted Live Aim as one of his favorite things about this camera
and that it’s “extremely handy.” On your initial setup
you can connect to the camera via the Moultrie Mobile app
You then have a live view of your camera’s FOV
and you don’t have to trigger the camera to do this
This feature and the quick app connectivity streamline the setup process to just minutes
While running the Edge and Edge Pro last year
there were several times when I’d get a photo of a deer’s butt within a few feet of the camera
There were even times when I would be hunting near a camera
While I haven’t had a chance to make this observation yet
I’m hoping the increased trigger speed of 0.3 seconds should mitigate these issues
I haven’t had any issues with failed triggers
Perhaps the biggest upgrades to the Edge 2 Pro deal with battery life consumption
In addition to Smart Capture and Smart Zones
which eliminate any unwanted images or triggers
this camera includes a Scheduler Mode that allows you to program specific on/off times
comes from the constant need to replace batteries
These features help you get the most out of your battery life and avoid unwanted photos
I’ve been running Moultrie’s rechargeable Power Mag and Power Mag Plus in my Edge cameras
but I don’t have to worry about keeping up with a pile of batteries
the cost of one Power Mag only runs a few bucks more than a good pack of lithium batteries
especially compared to loading up the Edge 2 Pro with all sixteen AAs every time you need a power boost
I’m interested to see how long the Power Mag lasts
While I’ve had minimal performance issues out of Moultrie Mobile’s Edge series of cameras
I even broke the antenna off my original Edge while moving the camera to another location
especially if you plan on dropping (no pun intended) a camera in a spot with terrible service
The Moultrie Mobile Edge 2 Pro's convenience and reasonable pricing make it a great option for both new and seasoned hunters
so you won’t forget where you left your camera
and you can monitor the battery life well before it goes out
you’ll get multiple seasons worth of reliable service
