That has been the reaction any time the topic of health was brought up around the LA Clippers in prosperous times Tyronn Lue’s first four seasons as head coach of the Clippers all ended in unfortunate injury luck Kawhi Leonard was unable to play in the elimination game in any of them and former co-star Paul George was unavailable in the final game of the 2022 Play-In Tournament and the entire 2023 postseason When the Clippers were in the middle of an eight-game winning streak to end the regular season that gave them the fifth seed in this year’s playoffs Lue was asked about having a fully healthy roster heading into the postseason tapping his knuckles repeatedly on the news conference table simultaneously “Just starting to play our best basketball The Clippers were healthy for the first time in years But having a healthy James Harden and Leonard wasn’t enough as the Clippers fell to the Nuggets 120-101 in Saturday’s Game 7 The Clippers lost three of the last four games of the series and Harden did not meet with the media after any of those losses It’s a surprising turn of events for a Clippers team that “It’s encouraging,” Lue said after the season ended Saturday night “I think James having to carry such a heavy load with Kawhi missing 45 games and just having to carry that load all season long coming back and having the confidence in his knee that he can play more minutes So when you have your best player missing (45 games) it’s kind of hard to really jell the way we wanted to But I thought we did a good job of just sticking with it And whatever we needed to do to win that night Now the inaugural season at Intuit Dome is in the books after a first-round series that reinforced the fact that the Clippers likely have a hard ceiling as long as their best players are Harden and Leonard two aging stars who are far closer to the end of their careers than the beginning The Clippers won 50 games this season and were still a factor in the Western Conference but this campaign was part of an organizational plan to bridge into what is next for the franchise Their public statement after George left to sign a maximum contract with the Philadelphia 76ers last summer declared that much we’re excited by the opportunities we’ve now been afforded including greater flexibility under the new CBA We will field a highly competitive team this season use our organizational advantages to bring top talent to Intuit Dome.” will be centered around Harden and Leonard The Clippers are below the collective bargaining agreement’s first-apron threshold and intend to remain flexible with an eye toward the next two offseasons The first domino toward that is what happens with Harden who has a player option worth $36.4 million for next season and he has enjoyed his time playing in his hometown since being brought in via an October 2023 trade “Hopefully I’m here for some years and retire here so I can keep moving the needle off the court,” he said in 2024 How the Clippers retain Harden is to be determined but he is fully expected to be back in some capacity after being named an All-Star and making the playoffs for the 16th straight year There’s a history of Harden sacrificing financially; in 2022 he declined a $47.4-million player option with the 76ers and signed a two-year deal that gave him a $35.6-million player option for the 2023-24 season so Philadelphia could sign free agents like P.J Harden reiterated that the chemistry the Clippers built with him as the primary facilitator should progress next year using Most Improved Player Award runner-up Ivica Zubac as an example almost two years?” Harden said last month while describing Zubac’s progress compared to former Rockets teammate center Clint Capela And Zu is way more skilled offensively than Clint But the understanding of knowing what to do whether it’s a pick-and-roll… that right there is just like chemistry that you just need time to build just played the first season of a three-year contract extension signed in January 2024 that goes through the 2026-27 season He began sidelined to manage the right knee inflammation that ruined not only the final run with George last postseason but also cost Leonard an Olympic gold medal Leonard averaged 16.3 points in 26 minutes per game Leonard leapt to 25 points in 35.9 minutes per game he made it clear what his objective was going into the second year of that deal “My goal is to be healthy at the end of the season not worry about doing the whole rehab process again or missing a training camp,” Leonard said after his overtime buzzer-beater to beat the Sacramento Kings on March 9 That summer came earlier than Leonard had hoped The series against the Nuggets was an opportunity for Leonard and Harden to re-establish some dominance in the postseason after the Clippers won 18 of their last 21 regular-season games and didn’t lose back-to-back games for eight weeks That re-established dominance didn’t happen the Clippers appear to be in a place of stability with the rotation of a team that surprised many by getting to 50 wins Zubac, Norman Powell, Derrick Jones Jr., Kris Dunn and Bogdan Bogdanović are all signed for 2025-26. Powell, the team’s second-leading scorer with a career-high 21.8 points per game, who was a surprising dark-horse All-Star candidate is entering the final year of a contract that will pay him $20.5 million in 2025-26 and turns 32 this month But there should be no rush to do something with Powell especially considering Harden’s age and Leonard’s durability concerns Batum is 36 years old and has a player option for $4.9 million but he is highly valued by the Clippers and is expected to return; the Frenchman has a stated goal of passing former All-Star Peja Stojaković for second-most 3s by a European player The most notable free agents are Ben Simmons and Amir Coffey; Simmons’ minutes faded as the Nuggets series went along after being the team’s buyout market target while Coffey was the odd man out of a nine-man rotation in the playoffs the Clippers gave Lue a contract extension that goes through the 2029 season relationships are strong among the brain trust of Lue Clippers chairman Steve Ballmer and president of basketball operations Lawrence Frank But Lue no longer has the excuse of his Clippers playoff teams never being healthy one of six teams in the West not to win a playoff series since 2021 This was the first time Lue lost a Game 7 after starting his head-coaching career 4-0 in such spots and the second year in a row where the season ended on Lue’s birthday Lue was recently asked why anyone would want to be a head coach after Denver fired head coach Michael Malone last month and joked that the job “pays well.” But his perspective was telling “It’s a tough business – it’s a fun business as long as you’re winning,” Lue said last month just having a great relationship with the front office with Lawrence and (general manager) Trent (Redden) It still doesn’t mean that they won’t make the right decision talking and understanding what each side wants and what they need and just having that relationship is really good.” Lue pushed several correct buttons this season, one of the most important being the selection of Jeff Van Gundy as the team’s de facto defensive coordinator and the Clippers admire stable organizations that don’t go about replacing coaches every two years As disappointing as this postseason result is Lue is seen as part of the franchise’s solution The Clippers might optimize the margins of the roster going into next season Like the 2019 offseason that led to the Clippers getting Leonard in the first place the team might look toward 2026 when it comes to identifying the next faces of the franchise and they’re not in a position to do so anyway with their draft assets depleted and their Southern California-based stars not in a position to command a high return in the trade market The challenge for the franchise will simply be maintaining its level of competitive achievement while being ready to make the best move for the future that means continuing to build around Harden and Leonard I don’t know right now,” Leonard said Saturday night when asked about growing from this season “I guess we stayed playing at a high level it’s a hard question to answer right now.” (Top photo of Kawhi Leonard: Ronald Martinez / Getty Images) MURRAY — A man who was critically injured when he was hit by an SUV while working on a railway for the Utah Transit Authority last month has died "We are deeply saddened to share the loss of our colleague, Juan Madrid, a dedicated and beloved rail maintenance worker," reads a statement issued by UTA on Sunday Madrid was one of two UTA employees working on the rails near the 5900 South rail crossing early in the morning on April 24 when they were hit by an SUV traveling east Two other employees who witnessed the incident rushed to their side and started providing first aid until medics arrived on scene Both injured employees were taken to the hospital, with one in critical condition and the other in serious condition. One of the men was released from the hospital on April 26, according to a GoFundMe page organized to help pay for the men's medical bills That man is "thankfully at home recovering," UTA's statement says The driver who hit the UTA workers initially left the scene of the crash but later turned himself in to Murray police UTA is providing "counseling and benefits" for Madrid's family and offering counseling services to its employees The first round of the 2025 NBA Playoffs is behind us as the Conference Semifinals officially began on Sunday night in Cleveland. A dozen former Kentucky players were on an active roster going into round one but only six remain as we dive headfirst into round two four will play major roles for their respective teams Here is your BBNBA Playoff update ahead of the Conference Semifinals We’ll be quick with this series (mainly because I don’t want to talk about my Cavaliers losing in Game 1). We only have one former Kentucky player on either of these teams, Isaiah Jackson of the Indiana Pacers Jackson has been out since early November with a torn right Achilles The Pacers could not miss from deep (19-36) in their Game 1 win while Cleveland’s starting guard Darius Garland is dealing with a toe injury that might be worse than expected It couldn’t have gone worse for the Cavs in the series opener The Boston Celtics will be heavily favored to win this series, but Karl-Anthony Towns has the chance to cement his status as one of the best big men in the world Towns had an up-and-down first round against the Detroit Pistons but finished with solid all-around numbers: 19.7 points and 10 rebounds per outing on shooting splits of 48.9/48/90 KAT had two games with just 10 points — that can’t happen in any game against Boston The Celtics will look to target Towns on defense whenever possible How he holds his own on that end of the floor could end up being one of the deciding factors of the series Top 101Field of 64 projectionPredicting College Baseball Tourney Hot4Trump By clicking "Subscribe to Newsletter", I agree to On3's Privacy Notice, Terms and use of my personal information described therein nothing came easily in the Nuggets’ seven-game series win over the Los Angeles Clippers He was vintage Playoff Jamal Murray in a Game 5 win with 43 points but failed to score more than 24 points in any of the other six games The former ‘Cat posted per-game averages of 22.9 points and 1.1 steals in 42 minutes against the Clippers on splits of 48.1/40.4/89.5 but if Denver wants any chance of winning this series After dispatching the Los Angeles Lakers in five games, the Minnesota Timberwolves now have to take on a few more future Hall of Famers on the Golden State Warriors. Draft The NBA Draft is an annual showcase of elite talent with every team zeroing in on the top of the draft board there’s always one player who rises from obscurity to become a fast-rising name across the league that player might just be South Carolina’s Collin Murray-Boyles The Philadelphia 76ers will retain their first-round pick only if it falls within the top six With a consensus forming around the top four prospects the Sixers could find themselves picking at No 5 or 6 — forcing them to think outside the box Should they take a big swing on a versatile combo-forward like Murray-Boyles Collin Murray-Boyles brings a combination of physical maturity and mental toughness he boasts an impressive frame that he uses to his advantage in a variety of matchups He overpowers smaller defenders in the post and punishes mismatches but he’s just as dangerous facing up — thanks to his skilled footwork and a quick first step that helps him blow by slower opponents averaging 16.8 points in just over 30 minutes per game where he shoots a remarkably efficient 62.2% on two-point attempts Most of his scoring comes around the rim and in the mid-post showcasing his soft touch and natural feel for finishing in traffic he’s also flashed intriguing playmaking potential — especially out of the post — displaying strong vision and decision-making for a forward Defense is where Murray-Boyles’ potential truly stands out He plays with a high motor and brings consistent energy and effort on that end of the floor While he may be slightly undersized for a traditional big or power forward he embraces physicality and holds his own on the glass He regularly defended bigger opponents in college and never shied away from battling in the paint he projects as a versatile defender capable of guarding multiple positions thanks to his strength Murray-Boyles will still be just 20 years old despite having played two seasons at South Carolina He brings a strong mix of experience and upside making him an appealing long-term investment — especially for NBA teams seeking a contributor who can make an impact from day one Murray-Boyles enters the draft with a few notable concerns — starting with his size and athletic profile he’s somewhat undersized for a traditional post player and he doesn’t possess the elite vertical pop or lateral quickness needed to fully compensate his ability to consistently defend quicker forwards or provide rim protection at the NBA level remains a question mark He may struggle in matchups where length or foot speed is at a premium He shot just 26.5% from three and 70.7% from the free-throw line raising red flags about his perimeter efficiency his value in pick-and-pop or spot-up situations is limited without more consistent shooting mechanics While he showed some willingness to expand his range — hitting 9-of-36 threes as a sophomore — it’s clear that he’s not yet a reliable floor spacer it’s difficult to project him as a true stretch-four or small-ball five Another area of concern is his tendency to turn the ball over when forced to create against higher-level defenders he doesn’t project as a player who can consistently initiate offense or serve as a secondary ball-handler He’s not the type of forward who can run sets or operate as a point-forward in the mold of a Draymond Green His decision-making and ball-handling will need refinement at the next level while he’s been highly effective using his strength and touch to finish in college much of his offense still comes through bully-ball tactics disciplined defenders who won’t be as easily overpowered and a reliable face-up game will be key to sustaining his offensive success at the next level Murray-Boyles presents an intriguing fit for the Sixers especially if they end up picking in the 5–6 range and want to swing on upside without sacrificing physicality or toughness and willingness to do the dirty work would fit well alongside stars like Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey particularly on a roster in need of frontcourt depth and energy He could thrive in a role that allows him to defend multiple positions and bring a level of grit at the next level Murray-Boyles’ lack of shooting could be a deal-breaker for some teams —and the Sixers might be one of them he would slot in as a power forward next to Joel Embiid providing defensive versatility and interior toughness That fit becomes more plausible if Embiid continues to age into a more face-up if Murray-Boyles’ perimeter game never develops he may be limited to functioning primarily as a small-ball five — an outcome that narrows his versatility and potentially clashes with lineups built around Embiid If the Sixers retain their pick and want a switchable forward who can contribute physically from day one Murray-Boyles makes a lot of sense — particularly if they’re not locked into drafting for positional need In a class where the talent flattens out quickly outside the top four high-effort pick that fits both the Sixers’ short-term rotation and long-term vision Minnesota joins Iowa as two Big Ten programs recruiting the Pioneers guard Shortly after Iowa women’s basketball was the first program to offer Hill-Murray seventh-grader Ashlee Wilson, Wilson announced Thursday that the Gophers were also recruiting her early. The 5-10 Pioneers guard won’t be joining a college basketball program until the end of the decade, but she is regarded as a top prospect both in Minnesota and nationwide ahead of most national recruiting services’ attempts to rank the Class of 2030. Wilson averaged 13.8 points per game for Hill-Murray last season, behind only her sophomore sister Mya’s 24 points per game. The pair helped the Pioneers finish with a record of 22-7 and as Class 3A Wilson plays for All-Iowa Attack Caitlin Clark’s former AAU team in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League a popular option for top Minnesota players who head to Ames to train in the summer She also plays golf and soccer for Hill-Murray In January, Hill-Murray head coach Erin Herman told The Star Tribune that Ashlee “just wants to be fed anything that will help her get better, which is really cool.” Mya Wilson, a guard ranked as PrepZone’s No. 1 player in the state’s Class of 2027, also has offers from Minnesota and Iowa, among other Division I programs. life for students in the School of Business and the Department of Construction Management and Civil and Construction Engineering a 2003 graduate of UA Little Rock’s business management program said the fund was inspired by his desire to give back to the university that helped shape his entrepreneurial journey “I know not everyone at UA Little Rock has access to the same resources or opportunities as students at larger schools,” Murray said “These kinds of real-world experiences—traveling and presenting—help students gain confidence and professional skills that are incredibly valuable in business and construction This is a way for me to invest in their future and in our local workforce.” Murray Contractors has worked on several projects at UA Little Rock including renovations in the Reynolds Business Building the demolition of the former Education Building and pedestrian bridge replacement in front of the Engineering Technology and Applied Sciences Building But Murray said this gift offered a more personal opportunity to support the university community “This campus has meant a lot to me over the years and contributing to the student experience helps strengthen our whole community,” he said “If we don’t support our future business leaders as they graduate from our own local institutions The fund recently supported a student team that competed in the Harold E Eisenberg Foundation’s Annual Real Estate Challenge in Chicago in April Murray attended a presentation by the students and said he was blown away by their professionalism and preparation They presented like business professionals,” Murray said “I was incredibly impressed by their speaking skills Watching that made me proud to be part of this effort.” said Murray’s support and presence at the student presentation added meaningful validation to their work “Patrick Murray’s contribution to the student experience was much appreciated,” Small said “He understands the real estate development process and how important construction is to owners This is the basis of the student competition Murray in the room to hear the student presentation He confirmed that their work is ‘real world.’” Murray hopes the fund will open doors for students to gain experiences he didn’t have himself as a student “I didn’t get to do things like this when I was in college,” he said “I was focused on racing motocross and school But seeing these students take the initiative to go above and beyond is inspiring Those are the people I want to work with one day.” He credits the encouragement and leadership of Christian O’Neal vice chancellor for university advancement as one of the driving forces behind his decision to create the fund “Christian’s energy and commitment to this campus are contagious,” Murray said “His passion for growing this university made me want to be part of that effort.” Murray hopes to foster both educational excellence and a strong talent pipeline for central Arkansas “Being able to contribute to UA Little Rock helps contribute to our own community,” he said It’s about investing in the people who will help build the future of this city.” UA Little Rock is Vecenie then forecasted the Blazers will use the unexpectedly high pick to improve their shooting with 6-foot-6 freshman guard Tre Johnson from Texas Johnson was the most impressive player I saw working out during my trip to the U.S He had one of the best shooting workouts I’ve ever seen from a teenage player showcasing a serious-minded intentionality about how he goes about his craft He displayed the ability to hit shots off movement at a high level something that he rarely got the chance to do in an offensive scheme at Texas that could be charitably described as anachronistic but fairly described as hideously archaic Johnson found his way into 19.9 points per game even if he struggled a bit once he had to foray into the lane because of the team’s lack of spacing and his own still-improving overall strength level have a tremendous frontcourt of the future with Deni Avdija there are questions in the backcourt surrounding young players Shaedon Sharpe and Scoot Henderson and they could use another real floor-spacer to knock down shots and threaten defenders I see Johnson’s range as somewhere in the No I’d be surprised if he got outside of that area of the draft In a mock draft from April 30 Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley sent Arizona 6-foot-8 freshman forward Carter Bryant to the Blazers with the No Buckley doesn’t see huge star potential from Bryant If the Blazers aren’t worried about team fit—and since they’re still in their post-Damian Lillard rebuild they might not be—they could spend this pick on one of the centers typically mocked ahead of Bryant But given their glut of bigs just limited last year’s No they might prefer to avoid spending another top-10 pick on a center they could fortify their wings with Bryant a defensive playmaker who can capitalize on the offensive chances created for him behind the arc or at the rim He is more of a budding role player than a future star but impact three-and-D wings might be the most coveted role players around Blazer’s Edge readers and amateur draft gurus How do you see their potential fit in Portland Who do you want the Blazers to select with their lottery pick this summer Murray State secured the series following a walk-off 3-2 win over Southern Illinois in extra innings in game 1 of a doubleheader The Salukis took game 2 11-0 to avoid the sweep -- After Saturday's meeting was postponed into a Sunday doubleheader Murray State secured the series following a walk-off 3-2 win over Southern Illinois in extra innings in game one The Salukis took game two 11-0 to avoid the series sweep scoring two runs in the fourth following an RBI single by Luke Mistone and a sac fly by Brady Grabowski cutting the lead to 2-1 in the seventh after a John Lemm home run ultimately tying the game in the eighth after an RBI triple by Cecil Lofton The Racers were able to prevent further damage with Graham Kelham striking out Lemm to leave Lofton at third The Salukis were able to get the go-ahead run on third in the ninth But Carson Garner turned an unassisted double play making the catch on a line drive by Michael Mylott then diving to tag the third base bag for the final out of the inning Garner would deliver the heroics in the bottom of the 10th driving in the winning run after hitting a double off the wall hitting three home runs in the first two innings and finishing with four in total Murray State takes sole possession of second place in the MVC sitting one game behind Missouri State for the conference lead SIU is one game behind Murray State and two games back from the lead The Racers will begin a three-game series at Belmont starting Friday SIU will be back in action Wednesday when they host SIU-Edwardsville in the non-conference finale Email notifications are only sent once a day Your browser is out of date and potentially vulnerable to security risks. We recommend switching to one of the following browsers: 2025) - The early-season struggles of Miami Marlins ace Sandy Alcantara have thrown a wrench in the trade deadline outlook already even after undergoing Tommy John surgery last season He’s long been regarded as one of the best right-handed pitchers in the National League he could fetch the organization a franchise-altering package in return But given Alcantara’s long-term and team-friendly contract – a five-year $56 million deal through 2026 with a $21 million club option for 2027 – the team can wait to move Alcantara until he’s pitching like an ace again .. Which could possibly take the best option off the trade market Minnesota Twins right-hander Pablo Lopez looms as a possibility – and he’d make sense for the Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers For more news and rumors, check out MLB Insider Robert Murray’s work on The Baseball Insiders podcast, subscribe to The Moonshot, our weekly MLB newsletter and join the discord to get the inside scoop during the MLB season The Cubs’ pitching situation is more dire than the Dodgers' Justin Steele is out for the season after undergoing Tommy John surgery and Shota Imanaga was recently removed from a start with hamstring tightness Chicago's rotation needed reinforcements now would be the time for Jed Hoyer to go all-in They have learned in recent years that you can never have enough starting pitching Injuries happen over the course of a 162-game season — and that has been the case with Tyler Glasnow and Blake Snell both being on the Injured List despite the team sitting atop the NL West at 23-11 But why would the Twins even consider trading Lopez going 15-20 and sitting in fourth place in the American League Central The franchise has looked to shed payroll for some time as their ownership situation remains unsettled $73.5 million contract could allow the front office to pour resources into different areas of the roster the 29-year-old Lopez is among the best pitchers in baseball he’s recorded a 2.25 ERA and a 26/4 strikeout-to-walk ratio He’s posted a 3.86 ERA in eight seasons in the Majors and has started 32 games in each of the last three seasons so he’s plenty durable for a contending team If Lopez is made available at the deadline and that possibility is very real with the Twins sliding there will be plenty of teams competing for his services But the Cubs and Dodgers stand out as early possibilities for the star right-hander © 2025 Minute Media - All Rights Reserved The content on this site is for entertainment and educational purposes only Betting and gambling content is intended for individuals 21+ and is based on individual commentators' opinions and not that of Minute Media or its affiliates and related brands All picks and predictions are suggestions only and not a guarantee of success or profit If you or someone you know has a gambling problem crisis counseling and referral services can be accessed by calling 1-800-GAMBLER Minnesota Twins right-hander Pablo Lopez looms as a possibility – and he’d make sense for the Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers For more news and rumors, check out MLB Insider Robert Murray’s work on The Baseball Insiders podcast, subscribe to The Moonshot, our weekly MLB newsletter We could see an arms race between two NL contenders KGET 17 News Cherry harvest at Murray Family Farms begins first weekend of May Bakersfield hit-and-run suspect turned himself in after crash Lakeside Union School District Grand Jury Report flags concerns Looking at the behind-the-scenes technology behind 911 calls States with the most strict DUI laws - info from Nolo 1 dead at construction site in west Bakersfield Digital Addiction: The time spent in front of cellphone screens has 'rewired' modern childhood — Southern Illinois baseball salvaged a road win in the final game of a weekend series at Murray State 13-8 MVC) fell in extra innings in the opener 3-2 before shutting out the Racers in the finale Murray State 0Southern Illinois stormed out of the gates and never looked back belting three home runs and getting a dominant outing from left-hander Al Holguin to rout Murray State in eight innings Sunday at Johnny Reagan Field Javascript is required for you to be able to read premium content Account processing issue - the email address may already exist Invalid password or account does not exist Submitting this form below will send a message to your email with a link to change your password An email message containing instructions on how to reset your password has been sent to the email address listed on your account Murray scored a game-high 43 points on 17-of-26 shooting his sixth career playoff game of 40 or more points Game 6 will be Thursday evening in Los Angeles He was born for this," Nuggets coach David Adelman said "You can kind of tell the way the ball comes off his hand on certain nights I thought he had a great lift on his jump shot it's the guy that's won us so many playoff games in the past." Murray came into the playoffs nursing a hamstring injury that caused him to miss six games but has played himself back into peak form right as the Nuggets seem to be finding their championship swagger following the shocking firings of longtime head coach Michael Malone and general manager Calvin Booth with just three games remaining in the regular season "This is really what it's about," Murray said playing hard and everybody trying to be on the same page with whatever we're trying to accomplish Tonight I think we did a really good job of just covering for each other throughout the game and we were able to figure it out amongst ourselves." Murray said he has enjoyed the back-and-forth nature of this tightly contested series, all the adjustments each team is making from game to game and his individual matchup with Clippers defensive ace Kris Dunn I get some good defenders on me year after year and I get to create good relationships with those guys Dunn was taken two spots ahead of Murray (No. 7) in the 2016 draft. Clippers forward Ben Simmons was taken No "It's always fun going against him and always a battle," Murray said Denver took Game 1 of this series but seemed to be reeling just a few days ago after losing Games 2 and 3 and following injuries to starting forward Michael Porter Jr. (shoulder) and super substitute Russell Westbrook (foot) Somehow during the short break between Games 3 and 4 The Nuggets have taken control of the series the past two games with physicality and extraordinary shotmaking Tuesday night it was Murray and Westbrook setting the pace combining to shoot 25-of-41 (61%) from the field and hitting 11-of-20 3-pointers That was as many as the entire Clippers team hit (11-of-29) Murray's big night offset a relatively tepid night for three-time MVP Nikola Jokic who scored just 13 points on 13 shots but still finished with a triple-double (12 assists and 10 rebounds) "But it sure is nice to have these nights where it's his show While all five of the Clippers starters finished in double figures, led by Ivica Zubac's 27 points on 11-of-15 shooting, Los Angeles couldn't overcome a poor offensive night from James Harden who took just nine shots in 35 minutes and had a series-low five assists Some of that was the defense from Christian Braun as were the 23 points the Clippers scored on possessions he touched the ball This idea is a little too creepy for a rom-com.. by reprising one of his most popular roles in the aforementioned film's upcoming sequel Murray’s had a couple decades to think about the stereotypical bad boy’s story 'Where has he been?' I always thought Jake had a room somewhere where he’s got this wonderful Tess shrine and that he’s been in love with her and he keeps a faded photo of her in his wallet but he still loves it and opens it up from time to time and touches it That was all part of the backstory that was going along with who Jake is in this fantasy world that he’s put himself in so I’m a little surprised by this wild idea Perhaps Chad Michael Murray just has a strong fondness for co-star Jamie Lee Curtis, which would explain their cheeky exchanges on social media What will be Jake’s story in this movie I highly doubt the writers took to Murray’s wild Tess shrine idea but I’d love to see the characters meet again The fee for the ad-supported membership tier starts at $9.99 a month you can spring for the ad-free offering and pay $15.99 monthly You can also save 16% by pre-paying $159.99 for a year What we do know is that Lindsey Lohan teased Jake’s epic entrance on his motorcycle I’m excited to see Murray's chemistry with Lohan on the big screen again I’m excited to see Lohan and Curtis as partners in crime Please logout and then login again, you will then be prompted to enter your display name. Gothamist is a website about New York City news and our staff of basketball betting experts is focused on a trio of key players who could be in line for noteworthy performances in Game 1 between the Nuggets and Thunder tonight Continue below for my NBA player props for Monday Over 18.5 Points + Rebounds + AssistsNuggets vs Thunder Michael Porter Jr. had a somewhat quiet first round for the Nuggets He averaged the fewest points (10.9) of any player in their starting five His best performance was in Game 4 when he recorded 17 points four rebounds and two assists while shooting 54.5% (6-of-11) from the floor and 57.1% (4-of-7) from the perimeter he finished with 15 points and six rebounds but didn't record an assist With the Nuggets opening up the Western Conference Semifinals against the Thunder, Porter has a points + rebounds + assists prop of 18.5. And while he hasn't particularly been at his best in recent games, he's had quite the run of form when facing OKC. In his last eight games against the Thunder, Porter successfully covered this prop line of 18.5, averaging 28.6 PRA with a median of 28. NBA players are incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to poring over their stats, and with Porter struggling to be at the top of his game, a quick glance at his numbers against the Thunder could be just what he needs to get back on track. Pick: Michael Porter Jr. Over 18.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-115 at BetMGM) Christian Braun Over 12.5 PointsNuggets vs Thunder Nuggets' player props feel a bit more predictable given what we can expect from how they'll manage their rotations Denver's bench averages the second-fewest minutes (10.1) in the playoffs a trend we saw during the regular season when it ranked 28th (14.7 minutes) in the same category Denver's inability to add some depth at the trade deadline left the team extremely shorthanded with a roster that's not very deep the good news is they still managed to split the regular season series (2-2) against a Thunder team that only lost 14 games during the campaign They got a few days to rest after defeating the Clippers on Saturday night while the Thunder hasn't played a game in two weeks The Nuggets need to get the best out of their starters to have any chance in this series Denver's Christian Braun logged the third-most minutes of any starter in the first round Given his size at 6-foot-6 and his ability to play multiple positions he's also the Nuggets' youngest starter Braun should have the minutes to go deep in this game, making his points prop of 12.5 worthy of consideration. It's worth noting that there wasn't much of a difference in his home-away splits, considering he averaged roughly one less point on the road (15.0 vs. 15.9). Moreover, he covered the prop line of 12.5 in 15 of his previous 19 road games and six of eight head-to-head meetings against the Thunder. We're also getting favorable odds of +102 for this prop, which makes it even more enticing. Pick: Christian Braun Over 12.5 Points (+102 at FanDuel) Jamal Murray Under 4.5 ReboundsNuggets vs Thunder We'll stick with the Nuggets for our final player prop as I'll look to fade Jamal Murray's recent stretch of five or more rebounds in four straight games Murray's rebounding prop is set at 4.5, but he only averaged 3.9 per game during the regular season. Moreover, against the Thunder, he's averaging 4.1 rebounds over 27 games. In six of his last seven meetings, he covered 4.5 rebounds just once. OKC has tremendous length with two 7-footers, Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein, in the starting lineup. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is also a threat on the glass, while the Nuggets have Nikola Jokic, who is no stranger to grabbing 20 boards by himself. This matchup simply doesn't suit Murray, and I could only look to play him under his prop in this spot. Pick: Jamal Murray Under 4.5 Rebounds (-125 at FanDuel) This site .css-115lfch{color:var(--tan-text-link);}contains commercial content. We may be compensated for the links provided on this page.
