He often walked the battlefield of Pea Ridge and enjoyed sharing its history with others
Eddie was an avid deer hunter and looked forward each fall to climbing into his deer stand and waiting for the big buck
He shared the experience with some of his nephews and was there for tracking and finding their first prize as a hunter

Tony Travis has worked in some capacity at Pea Ridge for 13 years
and brings 20 years of coaching experience
who stepped down in December after compiling a 10-30 record over four seasons
The Blackhawks enjoyed immense success under Travis' direction during his first stint from 2009-15
compiling a 39-38 record that included three seasons of 10 wins or more and a conference championship in 2014
They made the 4A semifinal round in 2015 and fell to eventual state champion Nashville
Travis won three Coach of the Year awards and was a two-time Hooten's Arkansas Football Coach of the Year finalist
Travis was the head coach at Rogers Heritage from 2016-18 and most recently served as the junior high assistant principal for the Pea Ridge School District
Travis was named Athletic Director of the Year by the Arkansas High School Administrators Association in 2022 during his time as an AD from 2020-22

Incumbent Steve Guthrie is seeking re-election

Initially appointed to finish two years of a vacated seat
Guthrie has now served 12 years on the Pea Ridge City Council and is seeking re-election
He said he moved to Pea Ridge for the schools and the small town feel
After finishing the term to which he was appointed
Guthrie said he enjoyed it so much he continued to run for office
"I enjoy helping people and being part of the growth of the community
He has served as a volunteer on the Fire-EMS Department and earned a 10-year pin for fire and ambulance
He was a firefighter and emergency medical technician
"I like being in on the growth and having a say in the growth and being a voice for people who come to me with questions
He believes that the construction of the new city hall/school administration building was one of the greatest accomplishments since he's been in office as the city and school built it as a partnership
He said he believes the skills he has in running his own business and previously running a department for Walmart that dealt with millions of dollars serve him in making decisions on the Council
He wants "to control the growth -- the growth is a necessity for the city
that's happened to some surrounding cities."
even though we have a lot of new growth and businesses
everybody still seems to know everybody when they go to the store
there are a lot of activities for the kids -- baseball
The school district is amazing for the kids
have three grown children and four grandchildren
He was from Memphis and she was from Dallas and they thought Pea Ridge was a good mid-way point between the two cities
They each have three grown children and he has seven grandchildren and she has six grandchildren
He said he's never been in politics but has been to several meetings since coming to Pea Ridge
explaining that he was a business owner n the 1990s in steel fabrication retail sales
"I get along with people really well and don't let things bother me."
He said his background in business is an asset which would help him make good decisions
"I am really impressed with the mayor and his hands-on approach
It seems like he really does care for the city
"I want to be on the front line making decisions for the city for the future and helping keep it a family-oriented city like it is now
"I believe in being a hands-on City Council member," he said
explaining that until about six months ago
he didn't know anything about the city government
I like the way the city is going -- the expansion of the city
be involved and make decisions based on recommendations and the information we gather."
"I'm retired so I have all the time in the world to do what needs to be done."
We're making decisions that are going to affect people living here now
moving here in the future and thinking about moving here," he said
I don't know the members of the council and don't know whether they consider it a job
I just think you need a change of scenery once in a while," Alldredge said
moved to Pea Ridge about two and a half years ago and to northwest Arkansas 12 years ago from the Los Angeles area
She and her husband have been married 10 years and have a "blended" family with four children between the two of them
"I started my career in market research," she said
"We decided to move out to Pea Ridge to downsize
We wanted a quieter place to live," she said
"I have always been someone pretty active in volunteering," she said
"I've been a problem solver most of my career."
there's an opportunity to bring in fresh ideas
She said her agenda is to "help make decisions and help figure out what we can do for Pea Ridge
We need to use data to inform how we go about making those decisions
which projects first and how they work together
adding that her oldest niece is in a wheelchair which makes her especially aware of looking at things from her niece's perspective
Other issues she mentioned included preserving the character of the town
how to balance residential and commercial growth
"I'm someone who is very passionate about problem solving
I put 100 to 110% into organizations or groups that I say I'm going to

taking a 360 view and making decisions is essential," she said
I thought about the city Planning Commission but decided to run for the council position to see what would happen."
