Falling tree limbs in Birmingham kills one person AL (WBMA) — The Greater Birmingham Humane Society (GBHS) has announced that the Pell City Animal Care and Control (PCACC) facility is now moved to priority-one status as they work to repair the facility This comes just a month after GBHS assumed management of the PCACC in April with the hope to expand animal welfare programs GBHS says that after a 30 day assessment of the facility's capacity and process they will be restructuring its shelter operations for the next three weeks “This pause in regular operations will allow GBHS to evaluate operations and facility needs to ensure that the PCACC location can reopen as a fully supported professionally operated center that reflects our core values of transparency and humane treatment," says GBHS Chief Executive Officer Allison Black Cornelius All animals at PCAAC will be moved to other GBHS facilities and rescue partners during the transition period and dogs considered dangerous will be housed in the facility Longtime favorite Pasquale’s Pizza is opening a new location in Pell City and is currently undergoing the early stages of development like menu items and why it’s loved by locals Pasquale’s Pizza began in 1953 in the booming city of Cincinnati Ohio and is regarded as the very first pizza chain to open in the United States Pasquale (Pat) Gramaglia and his family wanted to create a place where the love of traditional Italian food and family were all together under one roof The Italian café hit it off and quickly became franchised in 1956 and eventually sold to their Birmingham franchisee The chain was then sold to other companies across the country each location became independently owned and featured its own unique menu the eatery has only had one location in Gardendale But this will soon change with the opening of a new location in Pell City While we await more details on when Pasquale’s will open, stay up to date on what’s happening via the pizza joint’s Facebook page Are you a fan of Pasquale’s Pizza?
