The artificial lake is the southern terminus of the California State Water Project
Infrastructure Improvements Will Protect Downstream Communities & California’s Water Supply
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Furthering efforts to modernize California’s water infrastructure and improve public safety, the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) is starting construction on the Lake Perris Emergency Release Facility project this month in Riverside County
The project will build new infrastructure to safely redirect water and protect the community should Lake Perris need to be lowered during an emergency event
Planned improvements will include new levees
and a local drainage system downstream of Perris Dam
water could be redirected from Lake Perris through levees into a drainage channel and ultimately into the Perris Valley Channel
These upgrades along with improved roadside landscaping and relocation of utilities will provide protection to the community and other infrastructure
“As earthquakes and extreme weather events are a constant threat to our infrastructure
DWR continues to modernize our facilities to be resilient and protect the local community and California’s water supply,” said David Sarkisian
State Water Project Dam Safety Services Manager
“The project’s improvements downstream of Lake Perris will provide additional protection for the community through the construction of drainage infrastructure.”
Over 100 meetings have been held with the community
and fairgrounds since 2013 to discuss this project and the impacts of its construction
Access to the southeast side of the Lake Perris State Recreation Area and to the Lake Perris Fairgrounds will be maintained as they will remain open during construction
Localized noise and increased activity at the site are expected during construction
The Lake Perris Emergency Release Facility project is planned for completion in 2027 and is part of the larger Perris Dam Modernization Program
The first phase included the Perris Dam Remediation Project that strengthened the dam’s foundation and was completed in 2018
The Outlet Tower Improvements Project that will enhance water releases during normal and emergency operations is the final project planned for completion in 2029
All three projects work together to enhance the public’s safety and ensure a more reliable water supply to the community
Lake Perris, built in 1974, is the southernmost State Water Project (SWP) reservoir and receives more than one million visitors yearly
and power plants that provide water to 27 million Californians and 750,000 acres of farmland throughout California
Projects like the Lake Perris Emergency Release Facility project are part of Governor Newsom’s build more, faster agenda delivering critical infrastructure projects across the state to benefit all Californians. Find projects in your community at build.ca.gov

Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department's Perris station were requested to check on a woman at a residence in the 2100 block of Gilmmer Way around 9:40 a.m. Friday.
Responding deputies located evidence of a homicide at the location. A homicide unit responded to the scene and assumed the investigation and human remains were later found, officials said.
Investigators identified John Cruthirds from Perris as the suspect, and he was subsequently arrested and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center where he was held without bail on suspicion of murder, the department said.
Cruthirds was scheduled to appear Tuesday at the Riverside Hall of Justice.
The victim's identity was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Anyone with additional information about the case was encouraged to contact investigator Cline or master investigator Gilbert at 951-955-2777.

After a spinal injury ended his football career
Perris Jones is pursuing a new purpose in his life through motivational speaking
UVA Breaks Ground on Paul and Diane Manning Institute of Biotechnology
There’s the chaos of being rushed to the hospital for emergency spine surgery
and then there’s the eerie calm of a hospital room late at night
Perris Jones lived temporarily in the silence following the injury that ended his football career.
Before catching a short pass late in the third quarter of the University of Virginia’s game at the University of Louisville on Nov
a team captain and a student-athlete who aspired to play his sport professionally
He saw a shot at the NFL in his near future and
a big enough contract to someday buy his mother a house.
Jones eventually earned a scholarship at UVA and became a team captain
He ran for more than 750 yards over his final two seasons with the Cavaliers
“Who am I now that I can’t move?” Jones thought to himself from his empty room at the University of Louisville Medical Center
“Who am I now that I can’t pick up a football anymore?”
It’s been 13 months since Jones took that crushing blow from a Louisville defender and laid motionless on the L&N Stadium field. His immediate recovery was remarkable and well-documented
Jones walked out of U of L’s Frazier Rehabilitation Institute less than three weeks after surgery to diffuse a spinal cord contusion.
It’s his long-term recovery and the move to the next chapter of his life that’s been less publicized.
He carries a microphone and spreads a heck of a message.
Less than three weeks after emergency spine surgery
Jones walked out of the Frazier Rehabilitation Institute in Louisville
friends and family members who listened to him while on bed rest in Kentucky
Jones left the hospital with a new ambition.
“All I had was time,” Jones said with a grin
Jones, 26, is a two-time UVA graduate after completing his master’s degree in educational psychology in May. For a day job, he works in an IT role for ManTech International, a defense contracting firm. On the side, he’s a motivational speaker.
Jones’ testimony has now been shared with audiences ranging from high schoolers to business leaders. Earlier this month at a Richmond community center, he spoke to members of Saving Our Youth
a nonprofit organization and after-school program helping underserved teenagers transition to adulthood.
He delivered an eloquent 23-minute presentation that was both revealing – at age 6
Jones grabbed a knife to defend his mother against an abusive boyfriend – and inspiring – at UVA
Jones went from a walk-on player to a team captain.
with a question Jones asked himself in the hospital
“I don’t want you to think about anything materialistic
Jones has shared his testimony in front of a range of audiences
he was the keynote speaker at an event for a nonprofit organization in Richmond
looked inward in that hospital bed and concluded he was still a “selfless person” and a “genuine guy” and that he “didn’t need to be able to move to be that
I just had to open my eyes and be who I am.”
That’s someone who survived a house fire as a child. That’s someone who, despite a skinny 5-foot-7 frame, drew the attention of an Atlantic Coast Conference football program out of high school. That’s someone who, when he finally got his first start as a fifth-year college player, ran for more than 100 yards.
That’s also someone who’s dealt with the tragedy of losing three teammates – Devin Chandler
Lavel Davis and D’Sean Perry – to a shooting
By the time Jones suffered his life-altering injury
he had already built up the strength and resilience to overcome anything.
“Something I realized on my journey is that sometimes it’s not about achieving the goal,” Jones said of the NFL
“Sometimes it’s about who you become while you’re chasing it
“I want you to consider that as you walk through your lives.”
Jones took time to meet with the teenagers involved with Saving Our Youth
said he was inspired by Jones’ words and made sure to get his contact information
The message resonated throughout an audience that included 18-year-old Ace Simms
a senior at John Marshall High School in Richmond and aspiring rap artist who performed his original music earlier in the evening.
Simms and Jones exchanged contact information after his speech.
“He gave me the motivation to keep going,” Simms said
“I was amazed by the fact that he was able to just go through the obstacles without letting them knock him down or make him give up.”
Jones has plans to start his own nonprofit organization and call it “No Stars,” a nod to his lack of heavy recruitment as a high school athlete.
“I want to help unheralded kids and get them to where they need to be,” he said.
Saving Our Youth’s founder and executive director
has no doubt Jones can lead such an endeavor
All she needed was to hear him speak for 23 minutes.
“We try to get young speakers that can talk to our kids’ spirits
they can hear it and it’s not over their head.

“We expect the new pickleball and tennis center will be a high activity hub that will generate significant traffic all the hours and days the park is open,” said Catalano
Since beginning his public speaking career earlier this year
Perris Jones has found telling his life story to be a therapeutic exercise
The last time Perris Jones appeared in UVA Today, he was leaving the University of Louisville’s Frazier Rehabilitation Institute and headed home to Charlottesville following the spinal injury that ended his football career.
13 months after one hit on the field led to emergency surgery
a two-time University of Virginia alumnus and former Cavalier running back
has embarked on the next chapter in his life as a motivational speaker.
UVA Today traveled to a community center in Richmond
where Jones shared his moving testimony with members of Saving Our Youth
The 23-minute speech anchors our next story on Jones
which will be featured in the UVA Today Weekend edition
“I feel like every time I do it,” Jones said of public speaking
“it’s just more affirmation that I’m going down the path that I’m supposed to be going down.
“It also makes it easier to deal with the injury as a whole
in a way that I didn’t think it would help

CA — Two brothers who murdered a man during a robbery outside a Perris convenience store were both sentenced Friday to life in prison without the possibility of parole
were convicted in October of first-degree murder
attempted robbery and a special-circumstance allegation of killing in the course of a robbery
Bryan Ortega was additionally found guilty of sentence-enhancing gun and great bodily injury allegations for the slaying of 25-year-old George Torres of Moreno Valley
During a hearing Friday at the Riverside Hall of Justice
Riverside County Superior Court Judge Jason Armand imposed the sentences required by law on the pair
According to a trial brief filed by the Riverside County District Attorney's Office
the defendants went on a robbery spree that began shortly after 1 a.m
when they spotted a man walking through a field on Wells Street in Perris
Bryan Ortega got out of his brother's four-door sedan and accosted the victim
identified in court documents only as "M.F.," later told sheriff's investigators that he was immediately frozen with fear when the man walked up to him
racked the slide on a 9mm handgun and "pushed the barrel against the side of his head," court papers said
`Strip off all your clothes,"' the brief stated
Bryan struck him with the gun on the side of the head and said
Bryan pistol-whipped him again after he took his clothes off
Ortega grabbed the man's clothes and mobile phone
the defendants drove to an am/pm convenience store/gas station at 4040 Perris Blvd
and began inhaling drugs or vapors via balloons while sitting in Edgar Ortega's vehicle
The men saw Torres pull into the parking lot in his Honda sedan and decided to rob him and his male friend
got out of the passenger side of the Honda and went into the store to buy cigarettes
Edgar Ortega backed his sedan into the parking stall immediately adjacent to the victim's car
Bryan Ortega stepped out of his brother's vehicle
"Give me everything you got," according to the brief
prompting Ortega to demand that the victim hand over his sunglasses
The young man balked and instead grabbed a pistol that he'd hidden in the Honda and fired at Ortega
who "then began shooting into the car multiple times," the brief said
Torres was hit by several bullets and died at the scene
The defendants fled as witnesses called 911
Central Homicide Unit detectives reviewed storefront security surveillance camera images that morning and quickly identified the brothers as the assailants
also linking them to the assault and robbery of M.F.
culminating in the men's arrests without incident at a Santa Ana hotel the same day
Neither defendant had documented prior felony convictions in Riverside County

San Bernardino officials completed a two-day operation to clear a homeless encampment at Perris Hill Park
which involved extensive outreach over the past month
with over 30 accepting services such as temporary housing and rehabilitation programs
“This has been a priority for our city,” said Mayor Helen Tran
“These past two days have been a big success
We have compassionately cleared the park and will be restoring it for use by our residents and families.”
Months of planning led up to the operation
San Bernardino’s Public Information Officer
The city worked closely with its Homeless Outreach Team
contracted service provider Hope the Mission
and the Peace Team—a specialized group including police officers
our teams have been out there Monday through Friday
“We held three outreach events to ensure everyone knew this was coming
offering residents options to take their belongings
or store them at the city’s fleet center for up to 90 days
Special accommodations were made for individuals with mobility challenges
including the use of wheelchairs and walkers
and additional time was given to assist them with relocation
Service providers distributed seven-day vouchers for temporary housing
with extensions available for those participating in rehabilitation or other programs
Shuttles were onsite to help individuals refill prescriptions and transport them to local hotels
including temporary housing and rehabilitation,” Kraus noted
but we recognize that building trust and encouraging participation takes time.”
Animal Services also provided free microchipping and vaccinations for pets
ensuring care for the animals of those experiencing homelessness
The city’s efforts at Perris Hill Park reflect its broader commitment to revitalizing public spaces while addressing homelessness compassionately
includes amenities such as the Jerry Lewis Family Swim Center
the encampment had raised concerns over safety and sanitation
Disabled irrigation systems had left the grass dry
and playgrounds and other facilities showed visible signs of neglect
A recent tragic incident further underscored the urgency of action
San Bernardino Public Works crews replaced mulch
and began restoring irrigation to revitalize the park’s landscaping
New signage was posted outlining park operating hours—sunrise to sunset—along with rules prohibiting camping and enforcement details
much of the park will remain closed between Saturday
Facilities such as the Jerry Lewis Family Swim Center
and Senior Center will remain open during this period
“This is a high priority,” said Acting City Manager Rochelle Clayton
“We wanted to make sure that our first cleanup went smoothly
but this operation has been underway for over a month.”
City officials emphasized that the Perris Hill Park cleanup is the first of several planned efforts to address homelessness and restore public spaces
“Our number one intention is to provide services
and ensure it’s a safe and welcoming space for our residents,” Kraus said
The cleanup also aligns with larger initiatives to invest in public parks
the City Council will vote on a $9 million plan to renovate and restore Seccombe Lake Park
and we are committed to making them safe and accessible for families,” Tran said
The operation highlighted the city’s dual focus on providing resources and enforcing regulations
While the city has faced legal restrictions in enforcing anti-camping ordinances due to court rulings
officials stressed their commitment to balancing compassion with accountability
“There’s a percentage of people who are hesitant to go through the process and live by certain rules,” Kraus said
“But we also saw families who wanted to come home and reconnect
which often takes 30 to 50 engagements with individuals before they accept help.”
The operation saw no major incidents and included oversight by the American Civil Liberties Union
which monitored the clearance to ensure the city adhered to its policies
City officials plan to evaluate the operation and incorporate feedback to improve future cleanups
As the city prepares for additional efforts
residents can expect ongoing updates on homelessness initiatives and park restoration projects
“This cleanup is a milestone for our community,” Clayton said
“We’re investing heavily in services while ensuring our public spaces remain safe and welcoming for everyone.”

CaliforniaJunk food at checkout will soon be banned in Perris
sugary drinks and other treats at least 6 feet away from cash registers
Snack foods and sugary drinks will be relocated from grocery checkout lanes next year in Perris
following the passage of a new city ordinance
which requires grocers larger than 2,500 square feet to make healthy food and beverages the “default option” at checkout lanes
Perris is the second known municipality to approve an ordinance requiring grocers to remove junk food from checkout lanes in an effort to promote healthier eating
grocers would have to move items like candy bars and high-sugar soft drinks at least 6 feet away from any cash register in the store
Beverages would need to contain no more than 40 calories and no more than 200 milligrams of sodium per container
Food items would have to follow the same sodium guidelines
and no more than 35% of the total calories can come from sugars (or 10 grams)
The ordinance surfaced as part of The Center for Science in the Public Interest’s “Healthy Checkout Initiative,” urging grocers to remove unhealthy products from checkout areas of grocery stores
“The city of Perris is excited to join this initiative and help promote healthy food options in our community,” said Perris City Manager Clara Miramontes in a statement
“We are committed to the long-term health and wellness of residents and look forward to successful results.”
who helped spearhead the campaign in Berkeley
said in an email response to questions that research out of the United Kingdom
which has a national law on healthy checkout options
shows that removing the items reduces impulse purchases of unhealthy food like candy and soda
“In Berkeley you can see a notable difference in checkout aisles of two similar grocery stores
noting that a store nearby has the usual assortment of candy and soda
while stores in Berkeley carry products like lip balm
"Candy and soda are available in the store for those who seek it
just not for impulse purchase and at kid eye level.”
The city of Perris noted in a press release issued in March that the ordinance will not prevent grocers from selling items that exceed the nutritional guidelines in other areas of the store
The city said the initiative was backed by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Inland Valley
we are excited to see healthier options at checkout to help create a brighter and healthier future in Perris for our youth,” said Julia Burch
assistant director of development for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Inland Valley

They put Perris away in a 12-minute span of the first half, scoring 22 successive points en route to a 49-28 Division 5AA victory, their first postseason triumph in eight years. It wasn’t so close.
Sixth-seeded Los Amigos (13-9), the Grove League runner-up, romped to a 20-4 halftime lead, extended the advantage to 34 points near the end of the third quarter, then emptied its bench for the rest of the ride.
Sophia Boyer scored eight of her 14 points in a 23-point third quarter, Madeline Nguyen hit three first-half three-pointers and scored 10 points, and Catalina Guardado tallied nine points for the Lobos, who head Saturday night to Jurupa Valley for a second-round meeting with Patriot (16-12).
They suffocated visiting Perris (12-11), forcing the Panthers into a half-court game (“not our sweet spot,” noted Perris coach Ikeya Taylor), and then limiting them to one first-half field goal and three in the first three quarters, prodding 41 turnovers, and grabbing more offensive rebounds (33) than Perris managed at both ends (32, just seven on offense).
“We just got after it,” said Los Amigos coach Reginald Kennedy, who rotated 10 players against a seven-player roster. “We fought hard, we got to the spots, and our girls wanted it.”
The Panthers led twice in the first two minutes, and then, just like that, it was over. Los Amigos’ aggressive approach denied them space to operate and 18 of their next 23 possessions ended with turnovers.
The Lobos were sloppy, too, committing 31 turnovers in a frantically paced, often out-of-control battle. Both teams hit about a quarter of their shots, but all those offensive rebounds, among 52 in all, led to 78 shots to Perris’ 36 attempts. Boyer and Heydi Nava grabbed 11 rebounds apiece — Nava had nine on the attacking end, Boyer seven — and Guardado had six rebounds (four offensive) and three steals.
“We were really aggressive,” Guardado said. “We wanted to ball. We were always on the floor [diving for loose balls], you’d never see one of us standing up when the ball was rolling anywhere, we would literally throw ourselves [onto the floor]. ...
“We came out with energy right off the beginning. Today was a good day for us. We wanted to play. We are so excited, we can’t wait for our next game.”
Los Amigos targeted Carina Castaneda, the Panthers’ top scorer, holding her to one basket and four points until she hit the first of three shots from beyond the arc midway through the third quarter. Eight of her 15 points came against the fourth-quarter reserves.
The Lobos are thinking big, with good reason. They’re the highest remaining seed in the lower half of the 5AA bracket.
“I think we’re capable of going all the way,” Kennedy said. “I’ve got all the confidence in the world in these girls. Right now they’re riding high, and they’ve got confidence.”
CIF Southern Section Division 5AA playoffs
P — Castaneda 15, Martin 7, Rath 4, Ray 2.
LA — Boyer 14, Nguyen 10, Guardado 9, Nava 5, Le 4, Kue 4, F. Macauley 3.

PARIS – Perris medaling in Paris. And no
you're not the first to connect the dots between the nearly identical pronunciations
American Perris Benegas won the silver medal in women's BMX freestyle Wednesday at the Place de la Concorde with two clean runs
which carried over her emphasis on soaring through the air to impress the judges
"That's actually the first time I've heard 'Perris in Paris.' No
Benegas said she didn’t pressure herself to medal
She told herself it was another minute on the bike
“I just wanted to go out there and put a run down that I was stoked on
while Australia's Natalya Diehm won bronze
the 22-year-old front-runner and five-time world champion
was eighth because she fell during both runs – a disappointing result given she entered the finals with the best score from Tuesday

the position in which she qualified for the final
Her second run had a higher degree of difficulty and the judges rewarded the courage
where BMX freestyle made its Olympic debut
“I was obviously hungrier coming here,” she said
The 29-year-old had an uphill battle to make Paris in the first place
she had ACL-LCL-meniscus surgery to repair a devastating knee injury
one of the first thoughts that popped into her head was making it to Paris
"And luckily I was surrounded by amazing people who were able to motivate me and inspire me to keep going during that time

Benegas got back on the bike (literally) in May
"That has been quite the grind from day one ..
put my head down and got to work," Benegas said
Making it to the Olympics was enough for her
to have the opportunity to ride again today,” Benegas said
Benegas' family and girlfriend were watching in the stands and once she finished her media obligations
the Nevada native made a beeline to give them the most satisfying hugs of her life
"They're my biggest support," Benegas said
"To be able to share this moment with them
Disappointment for Hannah Roberts in BMX freestyleRoberts had her work cut out for her after a big run from Deng in the first heat
But she was cruising into contention when her foot slipped and she "had no pop," no momentum
to move forward as she went into a front flip in the final seconds
but I was too far into it to not do it," Roberts said
The pressure was on Roberts going into the last heat
“I usually captivate on those moments,” she lamented
It was a trick she does every day – the flip bar
I make mistakes and today wasn’t my day,” she said
Roberts is 10 days away from turning 23 and the goal is to participate in the 2028 Los Angeles Games
I’m just stoked to be able to be doing this
It’s a dream come true; obviously the goal is to win the gold medal at the Olympics," Roberts said
and I’m just looking at continuing to get better no matter what.”
And Roberts was elated nonetheless for Benegas
“There’s nobody more hard-working than Perris … just watching her mentality
going through rehab and going through the gym
and getting right back into where we started

2024 at 1:23 pm PT.css-79elbk{position:relative;}Immediately following the crash
CA — An off-road vehicle crash left a man injured and triggered a brush fire Tuesday on the south end of the Lake Perris State Recreation Area in Nuevo that was quickly stopped
The crash occurred shortly before noon in the area of Bernasconi Road and the Ramona Expressway
according to the California Highway Patrol and Riverside County Fire Department
The agencies said immediately following the accident
The driver was able to safely extricate himself and escape the flames
It was unclear whether he was at the wheel of an all-terrain vehicle or another type of conveyance when he crashed in the field
Because the flames were close to the expressway
CHP officers partially closed the road between Bernasconi and Lakeview Avenue for public safety
Firefighters stopped the blaze's forward rate of spread at about 12:20 p.m
and were expected to achieve full containment by 1 p.m
No homes or other structures were threatened
The driver was taken to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley for treatment of minor injuries
so that's an achievement that won't be missed by us
but we know we've got three more games to keep building on that."
Henry Pollock and his band of brothers pulled off a remarkable heist in Dublin on Leinster to make them believe anything's possible
after the second surgery,” said USA Eagle Georgie Perris-Redding
Nine months after the initial surgery to repair her right knee
Perris-Redding was told she needed to go under the knife again
For almost a year the Sale Sharks and USA Women’s Eagles flanker had spent five hours a day trying to get up to full fitness
only for her MCL to reject its synthetic graft
window.scriptsToInit.push('BrightCoveEmbeddedScrollVideo.init("6360804784112");');
It was in the final throes of Sale Sharks’ 27-24 end-of-season PWR win over Bristol Bears last June that the 28-year-old lay on the field at Heywood Road resigned that the pain in her right knee meant a long-term lay-off was coming
the 14-cap international was told she had ruptured her ACL
torn her MCL and damaged her meniscus significantly
To try and get back on the pitch as soon as possible Perris-Redding opted to have her injuries repaired in one surgery in the aim of recovering in time for the 2025 Rugby World Cup in England
When the Sale captain started to get back moving following a period of post-operative care
there was an increasing feeling that things were not as they should be
“I’d already had a feeling that something wasn’t right,” she said
like I couldn’t sit in a chair and stand back up without it hurting
“You know when those things in daily life start to become harder
Kate Zackary is counting down the days until they open the 2025 Rugby World Cup
Perris-Redding is now another step closer to full fitness and is currently in camp with the Eagles in San Diego
Being in the mid-spring sunshine of the west coast has not only given her more motivation
but also provided another opportunity to reflect on the past year of her life
“This might sound strange,” Perris-Redding wryly smiled
in the 79th minute of the last game of the season – it was just so unlucky
It’s given me time to work on things that I never had time for before
I’m not going to lie; it’s been really tough
This takes you to a really dark and lonely place
Much of what Perris-Redding has learned was in the cold isolation of her own recovery
Other players came and went from the rehabilitation room at Sharks’ Carrington base
combined with the devastation of having to go under the knife a second time
has given the Michigan-born back-row forward plenty of added resolve
“We have some really tough games and sometimes we’ve ended up on the wrong side of the scoreline
You have to go to a pretty dark place to be able to keep fighting in some of those scenarios
Growing up only ten minutes away from the Principality Stadium
last Saturday’s match up against Wales was always going to be a meaningful one to England’s Meg Jones
“I thought I was quite relentless until I did ten months of rehab
Since her debut against Canada in 2022 Perris-Redding has been an important figure for the Eagles
head coach Sione Fukofuka selected her among his 38-player squad for their Spring tour
“Ten months is a long time (to spend in rehab)
I’m really grateful and it’s quite emotional
I’ve been away from this group for a year and when I got back
The moment I am hit with a tackle bag I’ll shed a tear of happiness
but I just think about playing for this team again,” Perris-Redding said
I probably had the most fun 80 minutes I’ve had
“I may only be 5’4” but the contact part is my favourite part of the game
It is crazy because you don’t realise how much of a relief something is for you
At this moment in time Perris-Redding is not putting a definitive timeline on her return
Having seen numerous return dates drift further and further back in the calendar
the 28-year-old’s focus is entirely dedicated to recovery and being fit for this year’s Rugby World Cup
This weekend Fukofuka’s team take on Japan in Los Angeles
The clash with the 12th ranked team in the world acts as an aperitif to the Eagles’ opening Pacific Four Series encounter with Canada a week later in Kansas City
Then travelling to the Southern Hemisphere to take on New Zealand and Australia, it will be an instructive period for an Eagles team that have not played since WXV 1 in the autumn
A post shared by USA Rugby (@usarugby)
Enjoying a promising upturn in form during Fukofuka’s first year in charge

Another reason for Jordie Barrett
He has not been involved in any of those losses
He is more likely to keep his thinking cap on and not slide down the well worn mud slide to panic that Henshaw was muddied the back of his shirt/shorts with several times in recent years
NH were not going to win that match in the second half
They needed a decent lead from teh 1st half to try and hold
Judging from a few years of poor end game match management my hunch is that sorting it out has fallen between the stools of Cullen-Nienaber and previously Cullen-Lancaster
That’s a finger pointing right at Cullen as overall manager
The lack of big (challenging) matches could also have been mitigated by Leinster by doing a stress test on potential weaknesses
NH obviously did such a test and emerged with a bit of an array of attacking opportunities and as NB has said ways to diminish the rush D
Agree
