Does Rashad McCants ever stop running his mouth
McCants recently spoke about the UNC basketball program
referring to head coach Roy Williams as "The Warden" while making it seem like he was serving a jail sentence during his time at the University of North Carolina
While we're all curious as to why some individuals feel the need to give this dude a platform to spew this nonsense
we're glad to see that two former UNC basketball players have decided to have their voices heard about the situation
On the latest episode of Tidal League's "To The Baha," hosts and former Tar Heels
voiced their displeasure for McCants' antics
If you haven't been on social media (especially X)
it's worth noting that McCants and Pinson were tweeting at each other about this situation
You can view the interaction thread by clicking on the post below
You are a clown @SoundbiteKing
we encourage you to watch the entire part of the show where they discuss this situation (and
but we also want to make note of the main things said by both Pinson and Felton
Pinson opened up by bringing up a fact that McCants actually went to the University of North Carolina "this past year" to mend his relationship
McCants was unaware that Roy Williams wasn't coaching anymore
here's what Pinson had to say regarding the matter:
did you show up to Carolina and try to mend your relationship this past year
I think the crown is cutting off your circulation to your brain
You have killed all your f**king relationships you have
You take no accountability.Who the f*** do you think you are
who was teammates with McCants at North Carolina
was evidently pissed off at what McCants had to say
It seems like a lot of the nonsense from the past was left unaddressed
but now it's gotten to the point where Felton is simply fed up by all of it:
"I'm gonna take my glasses off this one
I wasn't even gonna say nothing about this clown a**
But you the one that fu**** your career up
I never said nothing about you when you did that bulls*** on ESPN
You think you doing something but you really looking like a fool and all this
You're talking on Twitter with Theo talking about seeing somebody
it's safe to say that we all wish that Rashad McCants would stop spewing nonsense about the UNC basketball program
While most of the former players haven't spoken out
Pinson and Felton likely share the feeling that many other former Tar Heels have regarding McCants' actions
Maybe it's time that Rashad McCants realizes that HE is the problem

UNC forward Theo Pinson (1) dunks the ball in the final seconds of UNC's 82-78 win over Duke on Thursday
“Run Your Race” podcast host Theo Pinson — a 2017 national champion and one of 12 Tar Heels to play in two national title games — has experienced countless memorable UNC-Duke rivalry moments
Staff writer Anna Laible spoke with Pinson in late January ahead of the first UNC-Duke game of the year
This interview has been edited for brevity and clarity
The Daily Tar Heel: When I say UNC-Duke
what are some of the moments that have stayed with you from those UNC-Duke games
Pinson: One is going into Cameron Indoor Stadium and winning our regular season championship [in 2016]
That kind of boosted us to make a run to the national championship
but we ended up losing to Villanova unfortunately
when we won in the Duke game — that run from there to the national championship was probably the most fun I've had in my life
DTH: What was it like walking onto the court for a rivalry game
What was the atmosphere and what were the emotions running through the tunnel
“You got a big game today and you’re just in class like it’s nothing.” I’m like
I've been playing basketball my whole life
honestly.” I'm going to go out there and do what I need to do to win this game
I honestly love the fact that we had it on days we go to class because they can see we're regular people
waiting on the game to start and to get to the game
but it's cool seeing everybody saying, “Good luck tonight,” and
DTH: Do you have a favorite UNC-Duke game from your time on the team
my last one [in 2018] was probably the most fun just because it was a 50-50 split of fans
it kind of went back-and-forth and we ended up coming out on top and winning
DTH: You are currently hosting the podcast “Run Your Race” with AJ Richardson
In your conversations with former UNC players and coaches on the podcast
what have been your favorite stories you've heard about the UNC-Duke rivalry
It's just a mutual respect between two schools
The game is just a little more loud than usual
it's going to be rocking and there's literally nothing like it
but we do remember the losses also — only [Tyler Hansbrough] is the one that got lucky and won all four in Cameron

Coner steamrolled his way through the defense and scored the go-ahead layup with 20 seconds remaining
I was thinking I had to win for my team and my coaches,” Coner said

the final of which was picked off by Pritchett

the Indians will try to end it with a state title
4 Pinson outscored McGill-Toolen 25-8 in the final quarter
pulling away for a 56-37 victory Wednesday afternoon the Class 6A state semifinals
“To know him was to love him,” an emotional Barber said after Wednesday’s victory
To watch a player lose his life in front of you – that was tough
This group this year is a testament to who Caleb was.”
Pinson Valley improved to 22-8 and will try to add to the school’s 2019 state title on Saturday
The Indians were in a tight game with McGill most of the way
scoring the first seven points and 18 of the first 23
The Indians led 49-34 after Jalen Pritchett’s reverse layup
and the Yellow Jackets (22-9) didn’t get closer than 13 the rest of the way

they would milk the clock,” McGill coach Phillip Murphy said
3 (Pritchett) are really good with the basketball
Those guys can pass through traps and scrambles and finish on the back end.”
McGill’s season-long offensive struggles continued in Birmingham
The Yellow Jackets shot just 26.7 percent from the field (12-of-45) and 15.8 percent from 3 (3-of-19)
a bunch of free throws,” Murphy said of his team’s preparation for the semifinal game
Pinson’s combination of Coner and Lynch proved too much for McGill to handle

including a crucial 3 that started Pinson’s stellar fourth quarter
He was 5-of-10 from the field and 9-of-11 from the foul line
Stat sheet: Pinson Valley – Jamarcus “Smoke” Thomas finished with 9 points and 11 rebounds

The Indians also won the rebounding battle against a taller McGill team
“We barely have a guy who is 6-3 on the roster,” Barber said
For our guys to go out and continue to battle the way they do means the world to me.”
Did you know? The Indians will play in the last Class 6A game of the season despite losing another star, Clyde Walters, to transfer in October. Walters moved to Brewster Academy in New Hampshire
I think it forced guys to take on different roles
this is my favorite group I’ve coached.” – Barber on Walters’ departure
“We’ve heard everything under the sun about what we couldn’t do
I’m extremely proud of these guys.” – Barber
so I had to come in and make a name for myself in basketball.” – Smoke Thomas
but I’ve been playing with these guys since second grade
doesn’t mean we ever gave up or started letting them get easy buckets
We always play hard and play defense no matter what happens on offense
That’s what got us here.” – McGill’s Ethan Stokes

Jefferson County leaders were set to consider a proposal Thursday for a new Dollar General store in Pinson

the Planning and Zoning Commission postponed their discussion to a later meeting
saying they would prefer to discuss the proposal with a representative from Dollar General at the meeting
They also want to talk with the owner of the land

Opposition has mounted against the store's approval
in a letter to Jefferson County Planning and Zoning
says he's against the Dollar General being built
adding the community already has two locally owned stores

Crane also expressed concerns over traffic
and the store's eventual hours of operation
The planning and zoning commission stated that at Thursday's meeting
there was no one present to answer their questions about the property
They have requested to also hear from a Dollar General representative

there were countless UNC haters who probably had social media posts in their drafts ready to publish after a loss to San Diego State on Tuesday night
So, anyone still think the North Carolina Tar Heels didn't belong in the NCAA Tournament
Sorry, we're not sorry that didn't happen, as Hubert Davis and Co. were able to put together a dominant win over San Diego State. Actually, dominant doesn't appropriately describe things, as North Carolina made history in the win
As for all of those haters after the loss? Yup, they were silenced in the best way possible and they had to eat their words. This is something that understandably brought a smile to a ton of faces, with the long list including former UNC national champs Theo Pinson and Ty Lawson
Lawson didn't mind throwing a little shade at everyone claiming UNC didn't belong in the field
claiming that West Virginia and Indiana deserved to be in the first four group over RJ Davis
Seth Trimble and the rest of the UNC standouts
The players inside of the locker room definitely had to have seen all of the hate they were getting. So, how did they respond? By scoring almost 100 points and posting a 95-68 victory. This one was never close, with North Carolina dominating things from start to finish. Davis led the way with his 26 points - he was sensational
Both Pinson and Lawson were fired up over the team sneaking into March Madness
and they were even more excited to see such a dominant performance be recorded
Both Tar Heel greats won national titles while donning a UNC jersey and their passion for the program isn't going anywhere
You better believe they'll keeping calling out everyone doubting this team
especially if North Carolina can post an upset over Ole Miss laster this week
