Mile Svilar is actually getting better as the season winds to a close
Roma's #99 turned in another MOTM performance yesterday
But who else earned a halo from Sunday's victory
Finding new ways to describe Roma’s performance over the past five months has become increasingly frustrating
With most of those 19 wins and draws following the same script—low-scoring affairs characterized by timely scoring
and world-class goalkeeping—crafting fresh narratives has proven challenging
we're not the only ones confounded by Claudio Ranieri's scorching-hot Roma side
Thanks to yesterday's 1-0 win over Fiorentina
Roma's unbeaten streak now stands at an incredible 19 matches
the Giallorossi have won 10 of their last 12 games
including three straight one-nil victories
Given the almost non-existent margin for error
one might say that Roma is walking a knife's edge
whether they fall behind early or simply aren't catching the breaks
Despite Moise Kean testing the Roma defense throughout the first half
thanks to Roma's formidable backline and another stellar turn from Mile Svilar in goal
Thanks to Shomurodov's quick thinking and his skillfully flicked header that found Artem Dovbyk at the far post, along with a draw between Bologna and Juventus
the capital club is now tied with Juve for fourth place
and Lazio for Serie A's fourth and final Champions League spot
Considering that development and Roma's relatively error-free football yesterday
we'll stow away the pitchforks for today's rendition of Sinners & Saints
Whether it was stoning Kean three times in ten minutes
including an incredible run-out save where the Viola forward was practically unmarked
or his customary unflinching command of the 18-yard box
Svilar pulled Roma’s feet from the fire for the umpteenth time this season
Meilleur gardien du monde, MONSIEUR Mile Svilar pic.twitter.com/h8yAHpwjaQ
Unless he steps out of the goal and scores a last-second header from a set-piece to lead Roma into the Champions League
I don't think it's fair to expect much more from Svilar this season
we'll split this halo between Ranieri's two starting strikers
With the attack struggling for most of the first half
combining to score the game's only goal moments before the halftime whistle
After Angeliño corralled Lorenzo Pellegrini's corner at the edge of the box
the Spanish wing-back quickly whipped the ball to Shomurodov at the right post
flung the ball back across the face of goal to Dovbyk for the gimme header
This combination may not be etching their names into the record books
but the Shomurodov-Dovbyk duo has been an interesting (and match-winning) wrinkle for Roma down the stretch
Don't expect Ranieri to mess with success next week against Atalanta either
let me pose a quick question: Who has had the more unexpected resurgence
Cast aside for most of his tenure with the club
the 28-year-old Turkish international has found a place in Ranieri's defense-first approach
emerging as an ideal complement to Evan Ndicka and Gianluca Mancini along the three-man backline
and added eight defensive actions to the mix
Even though he didn't have a hand in Roma's goal, Soulé made his presence felt against Fiorentina on Sunday
Soulé turned in a remarkably well-rounded performance
He also covered a game-high 11.4 kilometers
These players didn’t earn a halo last night
but they still deserve recognition in our day-after player ratings series
Koné delivered a vintage performance yesterday—if he can have such a thing at his age
In addition to covering over 11 kilometers on the pitch
Koné recovered seven balls (the most of any Roma player)
and contributed seven defensive actions to the cause
It'll take a miracle to keep him away from Europe's biggest clubs
Roma should pull out all the stops to keep this kid in giallo e rosso
Once a mainstay in our Saints category, the former Leipzig defender (who also played for Manchester City
and Galatasaray) hit most of his marks on Sunday
ending the evening with three duels won (including one in the air!)
With three matches to spare and nine essential points on the line
a healthy and active Angeliño will be critical in Roma's down-to-the-wire race for fourth place
Check back next week after Roma's road trip to Atalanta
when we'll hopefully have more halos to hand out
Roma want to keep surging into the race for the top four and again use Artem Dovbyk with Matias Soulé
while Fiorentina have Moise Kean back alongside ex-Giallorossi man Nicoló Zaniolo
It kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT
You can follow all the build-up and action as it happens from today’s four Serie A games on the Liveblog.
Claudio Ranieri has transformed the Giallorossi from hovering just above the drop zone to fighting for Champions League qualification
They are unbeaten in Serie A during 2025 and are coming off a huge 1-0 victory away to Inter
so now this is a head-to-head for the top four
so Roma stick with the 3-5-2 formation unveiled at San Siro last week
with Eldor Shomurodov partnering Dovbyk upfront and Bryan Cristante providing midfield solidity
Kean was initially on the bench in that game after a week out dealing with a family matter
Albert Gudmundsson is rested in favour of Zaniolo

The Eternal City is forever a delight to visit for work or for pleasure
the Italian capital has gone through a hospitality renaissance
with incredible hotels opening (or reopening) throughout its ancient center
This has forced every market participant to step up their game
the hotel features include a signature restaurant
semi-Olympic-sized outdoor pool (definitely a rarity for a city as old as Rome)
the event was exceptional and highly memorable in every way
it is often easy to get caught up in the educational sessions
panel discussions and networking that we forget just how much diligent preparation and fastidious yet invisible coordination goes in to make a meeting of this caliber go off without any hiccups
In order to better understand the inner workings of the back of house
I sat down with the Food & Beverage Operations Manager for the Hotel Villa Pamphili Roma
to drill down into the specifics of what makes for a great conference
Parravicini has seen firsthand the MICE travel boom that has occurred since the pandemic subsided
and it’s important for all hoteliers to sharpen their groups toolkit heading into 2025 in order to get the most out of this current experiential events boom
we have an incredible support team of waitstaff
Depending on the season and business needs
our department grows from 25 to around 40-45 people
with some additional support from employment agencies
with core staff hired directly by the hotel and additional support sourced from employment agencies during peak times
I also maintain an Excel file to monitor staffing costs
comparing them against our budget and the hotel’s service goals
This approach allows us to not only manage the flow of guests efficiently but also to consistently uphold the high standards of service our guests expect
My primary goal is to create an experience where guests feel genuinely at home
authenticity is essential; I aim to showcase the flavors of Rome through homemade dishes crafted from locally sourced ingredients
These goals align seamlessly with the hotel’s philosophy
as we strive to offer an experience that reflects both the warmth of Italian hospitality and the richness of local cuisine
Once I receive the event details from the events department
my core team and I review the Order of Service (ODS) to outline our approach
This begins with a series of meetings to coordinate every detail
I collaborate with our Chef to craft tailored menus
consult with the human resources manager to arrange additional staffing and work with the purchasing manager to secure any necessary items like glassware
We also make sure to devise a solid Plan B for outdoor events
knowing that while we can’t control the weather
we gather the full team to walk them through their roles
ensuring everyone is clear on their responsibilities and
Catering sales play a pivotal role in a venue like ours
We prioritize customizing each request to understand and meet our clients’ unique expectations
This collaboration begins with a deep dive into the client’s vision
exploring every opportunity for growth and innovation – whether it’s experimenting with spatial layouts
refining service flows or optimizing personnel management – to ensure we bring their vision to life
ongoing communication with both the client and the hotel team
This continuous alignment allows us to adapt swiftly to any changes
ensuring that the service remains seamless and the experience exceeds expectations
Guest satisfaction and the success of every event hinge on the collective effort of our entire team
professional and cohesive group that truly supports one another
My advice to other hotels would be to invest time in nurturing your team
Developing talent and fostering a supportive environment is never a waste of time; it’s an investment that pays dividends in the quality of service and the satisfaction of both guests and staff
it’s the satisfaction of our guests and the recognition of our efforts that have led to this conversation
But the real credit belongs to my entire team – a dedicated
skilled group that stands ready to adapt in any situation
which is essential in the fast-paced world of food and beverage
Their commitment to guest care and hospitality allows us to showcase our full potential and elevate our reputation
It’s thanks to them that I have the privilege of sharing our story with you today

Ranieris Roma: The most in-form side in Europe | OneFootballPlaymakerstats
Claudio Ranieri came out of retirement and turned a full-blown crisis at Roma into something special - now they’re the most in-form side in all of Europe
Things looked bleak early on. Daniele De Rossi had just signed a shiny new contract running until 2027 after a solid 2023/24
Three draws and a loss in the opening four games
The Giallorossi brought in Ivan Juric Juric hoping he’d steady the ship, but that didn’t go to plan either. By matchweek 12, he was gone too, having picked up just three wins, a draw, and four defeats in Serie A. Roma were stuck on 13 points and drifting far too close to the relegation zone
Out of options, Roma turned to a familiar face - 73-year-old Ranieri
recently retired and brought in as a short-term fix until the end of the season
It didn’t click straight away. His return started with a loss to Napoli, a Europa League draw against Spurs, and another defeat to Atalanta
But then came a turning point: a 4-1 thrashing of Lecce in matchweek 14
From there, Roma took off. Since the start of 2025, no team in Europe’s top five leagues has recorded more points. They’ve racked up 43, ahead of Barcelona on 41, and Bayern Munich and Strasbourg with 40 each
And here’s another standout stat: Roma and Barcelona are the only two unbeaten teams in 2025 across UEFA’s top five leagues
And it’s not just about results - their defence has been rock solid too. Roma have conceded just eight goals in 2025
the fewest of any side across the top leagues

How to watch the Serie A match between Roma and Fiorentina
Separated by a single point in the Serie A table, Roma and Fiorentina are set to lock horns in a crucial clash at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday
with European qualification firmly in sight for both
Roma come into this one fresh off a gritty 1-0 triumph over Inter
a result that not only showcased their defensive steel but also kept their Champions League ambitions on track
Despite squandering a handful of counter-attacking opportunities in the second half
starting with this weekend’s meeting against a direct rival
arrive in the capital having edged Empoli 2-1 in the league before falling short in a hard-fought 2-1 Conference League semi-final loss to Betis
With just a three-point gap between them and fourth-placed Juventus
Raffaele Palladino's men will be wary of losing ground as the race for Europe intensifies
Roma will still have the painful memory of a 5-1 thrashing in Florence from earlier this season to fuel them
and this encounter could easily turn into a tactical chess match
as both teams prefer sitting deep and striking on the counter

The Serie A match between Roma and Fiorentina will be played at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome
It will kick off at 9:00 am PT/12:00 pm ET on Sunday
Claudio Ranieri is expected to stick with a largely unchanged lineup
though the question of who spearheads the attack remains
Eldor Shomurodov and Artem Dovbyk started against Inter
but Ranieri could shake things up and push Matias Soule further forward
All five of Soule's league goals this season have come away from home
With Saud Abdulhamid and Victor Nelsson tipped to return
Paulo Dybala is set to be Roma's only notable absentee
having already been ruled out for the rest of the campaign
they'll be without Dodo (appendicitis) and Danilo Cataldi (muscle issue)
though Moise Kean made the bench in Seville after a brief personal leave
who sits second in the Capocannoniere race
has scored three times in his Serie A career against Roma
including a brace in that lopsided win earlier this season
with Lucas Beltran and Albert Gudmundsson also pushing to keep their blossoming frontline partnership intact
Will you be watching Bologna take on Juventus over dinner
We’re not playing against Juventus or Bologna
courage and a real desire to make sacrifices to bring home the win
Fiorentina are a great team with technically gifted players who put you under pressure
otherwise we’ll just waste energy and get nothing from it.’
“That goal at the end of the first half was crucial because it allowed us to manage things as well as we could in terms of the human resources of my players.”
The starting 11 was the same as at San Siro
but you made five substitutions at the right time to help see out the result
I was impressed watching them and studying them
I want to understand how you managed to get into the head of a player like Matias Soule — getting him to play as a wing-back
tracking back and defending well against crosses
That takes work and I think the credit is yours
You’ve managed to convince a young player — and the whole team — of the need to defend
He suffered a lot earlier in the season when he wasn’t playing
Now I’ve given him my trust and he’s become that unexpected bonus
I saw him at home to Napoli: he was always doubling up
helping [Zeki] Celik when [David] Neres was trying to take him on
You learn more about your players as you coach and train with them and the lad is really making huge sacrifices
Are you just that good or have we underestimated your players at times
I was lucky to take this team over at a time when they needed a lifeboat
something to pull them out of the quicksand
They listened to me like you’d listen to a father because I’ve always spoken to them from the heart
“They’ve been great in terms of following my lead
those who haven’t played will be angry or disappointed
but my staff say it’s a joy to watch them in training
They push themselves to the limit because they want a place in the team — and that makes me so happy.”
“I always say football is beautiful because there are so many ideas
There are coaches who see things differently and that variety is what makes football so fascinating and exciting
how to make it hard for the opponents or at least how to avoid giving them the best conditions to score
The stats behind Roma’s incredible form in 2025 | OneFootballGet Italian Football News
Roma have probably been the best side in Serie A in the 2025 calendar year. It has been a turnaround of dreams for them. When Claudio Ranieri returned to his boyhood club in November they were struggling at 12th in Serie A
Artem Dovbyk’s goal made the difference at Stadio Olimpico as they moved into the top four
above their city rivals Lazio on goal difference
They have the goal of reaching the Champions League and given their form
very few would bet against them reaching it
Since they lost to Como in December, Roma have been on a 19 match unbeaten streak
A huge credit must go to Ranieri for the way he has completely transformed this team
A big reason for this is the form of goalkeeper Mile Svilar
who now leads the league for clean sheets with 15
Other notable improvements include the form of young Matias Soule who has really settled in well and is deciding games now
Another key fact has been their ability to eke out narrow wins. Roma have won 1-0 nine times Serie A this season
which is more than any other team in the Big five European Leagues in the 2024/25 season
Eight of these have come under Claudio Ranieri
While he is expected to leave the club come the summer
Their last couple of games have been very impressive wins
Their next two games are also extremely important ones

So AS Roma, huh? Crazy season. Got pumped 5-1 by Fiorentina earlier this season but also hasn’t lost in Serie A in 2025
so we’re very lucky to be able to call on Chiesa di Totti’s redoubtable leader Bren
who was as patient as ever answering a bunch of my questions
Has he made some brilliant tactical tweaks or is it just the World’s Greatest Nonno vibes
Bren from Chiesa di Totti: Considering how slim many of their victories have been
I’d hesitate to call Roma’s turnaround the product of some tactical innovation on Ranieri’s part
tinkering with his approach when necessary
but his impact has been predominantly mental—he’s restored Roma’s sense of self-belief
After De Rossi was unceremoniously dumped in September
the club’s Ivan Juric experiment couldn’t have gone any worse
and experienced manager was the boost Roma needed
in terms of specific tactical and personnel decisions
Ranieri has elicited better performances from players like Mats Hummels (who Juric ignored)
Paulo Dybala (who Juric apparently thought was a defender)
We also can’t discount the effect losing Alexis Saelemaekers early in the season had on the club’s performance
His return in late November coincided with Ranieri’s appointment as interim manager
so while there is some correlation versus causation at play
Given how bleak things were when Ranieri took over
and genuine love and understanding of all things Roma-related have been a remedy for the club
He was already among the most beloved figures in club history
but his legend has grown immeasurably over the past few months
VN: Fiorentina’s 5-1 win earlier this year feels like half a lifetime ago
Manu Koné looked like the only Roma player doing anything
Who else has stepped up over these past few months
BfCdT: While it wasn’t exactly how we envisioned it
Matías Soulé has shone since Paulo Dybala was lost to season-ending surgery
using his guile and creativity to create chances in the final third rather than unfurling an array of stepovers or FIFA-worthy highlights
We’ve also seen Hummels and Leandro Paredes rise
and then rise again since the last fixture
but we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention Eldor Shomurodov
who has emerged as a legitimate complement to striker Artem Dovbyk
who is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after keepers in Europe
VN: Paulo Dybala was shining as only he can for much of the year
right up until damaging tendons in his thigh against Cagliari
I’m interested in how Roma’s adapted without him
but I’m even more interested in how the Giallorossi seem to lose at least one key player every year to injury
Is Trigoria built on an ancient Roman graveyard or something
and you’ll see quite a few people lamenting that Trigoria
Roma’s famed (or ill-fated) training ground
I’m not sure what training methods Roma is or isn’t employing compared to their peers
but you are correct: Roma does seem to lose key figures to lengthy injuries every year
we’re talking about a notoriously fragile player in Dybala
has always been plagued by muscular issues
But it’s no coincidence that Roma cannot seem to score more than one goal without Dybala
so I’m not entirely sure they have adapted to living without him
Ranieri has increasingly leaned into a two-striker formation
showcasing a Shomurodov-Dovbyk tandem over the past few weeks; it hasn’t produced a deluge of goals
but it does afford each player more freedom than they would otherwise have
Roma’s got some big decisions and none are bigger than who succeeds Ranieri
I definitely won’t be hanging out ready to save the day again if need be
they’ve pulled out all the stops to convince Ranieri to return
including throwing millions at the 73-year-old Roman
I’ve secretly hoped that Ranieri would use all this goodwill to strong-arm the club into bringing De Rossi back
but that is probably just wishful thinking on my part
They should hire someone like Cesc Fabregas
but they will likely opt for a veteran re-tread like Max Allegri or Stefano Pioli and then fire him in
VN: Have you heard anything about Edoardo Bove’s future
There’ve been rumblings about a move abroad so he can continue playing next year but I haven’t heard anything definitive or even new
BfCdT: I have not heard any updates about his future with Roma or anywhere else
It seems as though he would be ineligible to play in Italy
so I hope for his sake he can find a club willing to take a chance on him
That was a very controversial sale among Roma fans
who always hold local kids a bit closer to their hearts
but he seems like a player who could succeed in the greener pastures of England
How’s the game going to unfold and what’s the final score
I’ll tell you what: I’d bet anything that this match won’t be decided by more than one goal
since this match is at the Olimpico and Ranieri’s time with the club is running short
I think Roma will get an emotional lift and take all three points in a 1-0 nailbiter

extending their unbeaten run in home head-to-heads against La Viola to seven matches and moving four points clear of the visitors. With the teams separated by just one point ahead of kick off - and Bologna hosting Juventus later in the afternoon - this was to be a pivotal afternoon in deciding how Serie A’s European positions will look at the end of the season
Those in Giallorossi shirts displayed plenty of energy early on, whether in the stands or on the pitch, but Fiorentina stood firm as Lorenzo Pellegrini saw one strike hit teammate Eldor Shomurodov and another sail off-target
La Viola then went on the front foot and had the game’s first big chance in the 27th minute
when Moise Kean masterfully turned away from Zeki Celik but was denied by the onrushing goalkeeper Mile Svilar
and the striker then got behind Gianluca Mancini before being stopped by Svilar again
David de Gea was equally convincing when denying Celik and Shomurodov, but the Spaniard couldn’t keep the match level going into the break, as Shomurodov headed Angelino’s fizzed ball in across goal for Dovbyk to nod home the opener in the fifth minute of added time
Match statsFlashscoreDe Gea was swiftly back in action after the restart
leaping across his line to hold Manu Kone’s strike from range
while Nicolo Zaniolo and Fabiano Parisi both fired harmlessly over as La Viola applied pressure in search of an equaliser
Svilar then added to his catalogue of impressive saves by getting a foot to Rolando Mandragora’s venomous hit
before Niccolo Pisilli and Cher Ndour fired off target at either end
then bravely dived at his feet to collect the ball and ensure Roma earned all three points in their 19th consecutive Serie A match unbeaten to
Fiorentina remain eighth having lost back-to-back matches in the space of four days
although they have an opportunity to put the first of those right as they host Real Betis in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday

Juventus clung onto their place in Serie A’s Champions league positions on Sunday after being held to a 1-1 draw at rivals Bologna
Remo Freuler’s deflected strike in the 54th minute cancelled out Khephren Thuram’s early opener and gave Bologna a deserved home draw at a packed Stadio Renato Dall’Ara
Juve are in fourth on goal difference ahead of Roma
and sixth-placed Lazio with the trio all locked on 63 points
Bologna might sit seventh but they are only a point behind Juve and the Rome clubs and are also in with a chance of their first major trophy since 1974 with the Italian Cup final against AC Milan coming up a week on Wednesday
The draw also created an even more crowded battle for a place in next season’s Champions League with another round of crucial match-ups coming up next weekend
are at Lazio while Roma head to Atalanta who were this weekend’s big winners in the tussle for the top four with a 4-0 thumping of relegated Monza
Roma and Lazio with three matches remaining in the season and are now big favourites to claim one of two remaining spots in Europe’s elite club competition
Charles De Ketelaere netted his first league goals since before Christmas in the first half
before Ademola Lookman and Marco Brescianini completed the rout for Atalanta with well-taken strikes after the break
Rock-bottom Monza will play in Serie B next season
ending a three-season run in the top flight for the team owned by the Berlusconi family
Assured of promotion are Sassuolo and Pisa
the latter club securing automatic promotion on Sunday even though they lost 1-0 to Bari as their closest rivals Spezia were beaten 2-1 at Reggiana
Juventus manager Igor Tudor remained upbeat even though his side missed a chance to strengthen their grip on fourth place
saying that the battle for Champions League football was still firmly in his side’s hands
Tudor denied that anything was decided at Renato Dall’Ara Stadium
“There are three games left and we are still fourth
then there’s Udinese and Venezia,” Tudor told DAZN
“I said before kick-off that whatever the result
one game cannot decide everything when there are so many teams crammed together in a few points.”
Although the hosts controlled possession throughout
Juve created multiple significant opportunities to secure a win
all things considered.” Bologna coach Vincenzo Italiano shared the same outlook
“There are still nine points up for grabs and that’s an enormous amount at that level of the table,” he said
there are many head-to-head clashes still to be played
so whoever has the most consistent mentality and intensity will reach their objective.”
Bologna are set for an exciting end to the season
starting with an away match against AC Milan
followed by a Coppa Italia final clash with the same opponents
the first meeting with Milan is in Serie A
I think we’ll be very concentrated and it won’t distract us ahead of the Coppa Italia,” Italiano said

the song remains the same for Roma: If they want to return to the Champions League for the first time in nearly seven years
After starting their march towards the CL with a pair of draws against Juventus and Lazio
Roma got back to their winning ways two weeks ago against Verona before scoring a monumental upset over then league-leading Inter Milan last weekend
While today's opponents aren't quite as formidable as Inter
Fiorentina enters the Olimpico today riding a six-match Serie A unbeaten streak
meaning today's fixture is every bit as daunting as last weekend's trip to the San Siro
the Viola boast one of Italy's most potent attacks
so Claudio's crew will have their work cut out for them this afternoon

AS Roma mister (and World’s Best Nonno candidate) Claudio Ranieri opts for Zeki Çelik in the back 3
forming a potent right side with Matías Soulé and Lorenzo Pellegrini
too; the Viola academy graduate is always extra-excited to play against his former club
Fiorentina boss Raffaele Palladino rotates his side pretty heavily
which some people might interpret as conceding defeat in order to rest some heavy legs ahead of the Conference League semifinal against Real Betis on Thursday
Fabiano Parisi starts at right wingback again and ex-Roma man Nicolò Zaniolo gets the nod up top
but it’s the midfield that’s particularly different: Amir Richardson and Cher Ndour—making his first appearance in a month—join Rolando Mandragora

a cherished member of her community and a loving matriarch to her family
surrounded by love in her hometown of Independence
Even in her final days she found a way to continue
spreading joy and warmth to all who had the pleasure of knowing her
Roma was born in Independence on February 25
but was raised in Blue Springs and was proud of being from Blue Springs and being a graduate of Blue Springs High School
Even later in life she would talk with anyone who asked her about growing up in Blue Springs and about what it was like then versus now
Faith was a very important component in Roma’s life and she had been a member of First Christian Church of Independence for over 60 years
She enjoyed the friendship and warmth of many lifelong friends made thru the church and felt blessed to be an Elder Emeritus for the church
Roma dedicated 40 years of her life working as a secretary at Household Financial Corp before retiring
Her professional life was marked by her impressive organizational skills and her cheerful demeanor
which made her a beloved figure in the workplace
but they all could see she was really running the place as she was the first contact with the customers as well as their final contact and she set the tone for the office’s day as well as for the customer with her smile and warmth
Even before she retired Roma was busy with volunteer work
and after retirement she wondered how she had even had time to work between volunteering
She had been a Cub Pack leader when her son was going thru Cub Scouts
Roma was a member of the Ladies Oriental Shrine and was eventually the High Priestess for Tarrara Court in Independence
She enjoyed her monthly meeting of the Mary Paxton Study Group as she always learned something new and interesting
One of her greatest joys was the years she spent working with the Bingham Waggoner Historical Society
eventually serving the board for 20 years as the membership chairman
Her knees did not allow her to guide tours
Her love of art led her to be on the Citizens Civic and Cultural Commission that hosted an art show for local high school students every spring
She enjoyed seeing what the kids created and the pride they had when showing the work hanging at an art show to their families
Her other great joy was her time spent with the Independence Young Matrons
helping with the work they do and eventually serving as President of the organization for two years in 2014 and 2015
Helping others was just second nature to her
Roma was known for her great sense of humor
and her ability to make everyone around her feel special
she kept a beautiful home filled with warmth and laughter
Roma had a passion for life and embraced every moment
whether it was cheering on her favorite teams—the Kansas City Royals
or the Mizzou Tigers—or indulging in her love for travel
she explored the picturesque landscapes of Ireland
and enjoyed various bus tours that created lasting memories
Roma particularly loved the works of Danielle Steel
finding solace and inspiration in her stories
Family was at the core of Roma's existence; she loved them fiercely
and there was nothing more gratifying to her than being surrounded by family during gatherings and celebrations
She was a proud mother to her son Geoffrey Ingram and embraced her role as stepmother to Karen Hoyt and her husband Kevin
Her legacy continues through her four beloved grandchildren and nine cherished great-grandchildren
each of whom carries a piece of her vibrant spirit
along with her extended family and friends
was a testament to her deep-rooted connections
Her absence leaves a void that cannot be filled
and love will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched
followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence
we remember Roma Lee Meinsen as a beacon of joy
and love whose legacy will continue to shine brightly through her family and friends
The family would like to extend a huge thank you to St
patience and assistance during her final days
With a special thanks for the three little angels who saw her the most during this time

Ranieri has declared all of his players fit
who will get the call as Roma looks to continue its improbable run toward a top 4 finish
“Because I’ve picked other players [on Paredes]
and I choose the players I think are most likely to help me win the game
[Mats] Hummels and others who are playing less now and played more before
Everyone is fine and my players are giving me quite the selection headache
All my considerations are based on our opponents and how we can cause problems for them
So I go with the players I think are best suited.”
I convocati per #RomaFiorentina#ASRoma pic.twitter.com/sR9zLohe0P
With that in mind, Ranieri will have everyone available and will need to decide whether to reintegrate Paredes after utilizing Manu Koné in the holding midfield role against Inter. Additionally, Ranieri commented on Koné’s versatility during his pre-match presser
“Kone is a versatile player who can play in lots of positions
We saw him operating in a double pivot for France against Italy and he did well
He’s a smart lad who can adapt to different positions
whether it’s a box-to-box role or in front of the defence
I can play him either here or there depending on the opponents.”
Based on reports from around the peninsula, it’s expected that Roma will line up in a 3-5-2 formation
with Koné anchoring a midfield alongside Italians Bryan Cristante and Lorenzo Pellegrini
This would mean another start on the bench for Paredes
Those three players will be flanked by Angeliño and Matías Soulé
it appears that Artem Dovbyk and Eldor Shomurodov will once again form a two-striker setup
Ranieri was asked about that possibility in his presser
that’s something you’ve asked me about many times
And I perhaps thought about it more than I should have
Thanks to a timely Artem Dovbyk goal and another jaw-dropping performance from Mile Svilar in goal
Roma's Champions League dream remains alive and well
After taming then league-leading Inter Milan on the road with a seldom-seen two-striker formation, Claudio Ranieri wasn't going to tempt fate today against Fiorentina
Trotting out the same starting eleven that narrowly defeated Inter last weekend at the San Siro
Ranieri was relying on continuity to secure a win against a red-hot Viola side
Fueled by Moise Kean and his 17 league strikes
Fiorentina arrived in the capital riding a six-match unbeaten streak
a six-match heater pales in comparison to Roma's epic 18-match unbeaten streak
With another sell-out crowd serenading them at kick-off
Ranieri and Roma had all the ingredients in place to extend their streak to 19 league matches without a defeat
But it wasn't exactly smooth sailing at the Stadio Olimpico this afternoon
In one of their first sequences of the match
Bryan Cristante played Artem Dovbyk into space
only to see the Ukrainian forward fail to fire a shot on goal
setting the stage for another tense affair for the Giallorossi
Roma's attacking frustrations continued several minutes later when Lorenzo Pellegrini flipped a half-hearted lob at David de Gea
who watched as the ball looped harmlessly over the bar
Rather than using these attempts as appetizers before the real entrées emerged from the kitchen
The former Juve wunderkind was denied by Mile Svilar three times in 10 minutes
who continues to bolster his case as the league's best keeper
Roma would eventually counter the Viola's first-half attack, with Zeki Celik testing de Gea from distance, striking the ball from the edge of the box, only to see the former Manchester United keeper rise to the occasion
Shomurodov would test de Gea several minutes later
Due to several stoppages of play in the first half
the match officials added five minutes of stoppage time before half-time
and Roma waited until almost the last second to capitalize on the opportunity
Artem Dovbyk's diving header gives Roma the lead just before the break pic.twitter.com/tIKRfoG54I
but this chance would have gone nowhere without Shomurodov's flicked header to Dovbyk at the far left post
While Fiorentina protested the goal (thinking time had already expired)
thanks to Shomu's quick thinking and Dovbyk's calm header
Roma headed into the break with a vital goal
With a one-goal lead in their pocket and three precious points in the balance
Ranieri went with his hard runners in the second half
introducing Niccolo Pisilli and Tommaso Baldanzi early in the period
Although it didn't result in an entertaining 45 minutes of football
Ranieri's strategy continues to be remarkably effective
With his midfielders buzzing around the center of the park and his defense compacted around the edge of the area
riding Svilar's hot hand to the club's 19th straight positive result
I'm sure Roma will score more than one goal again
Ranieri has stumbled into a winning formula late in the season
using two strikers to bully opponents in the first half before grabbing a timely goal
then sitting back and letting his midfield and defense run out the clock
Thanks to today's victory, Roma is temporarily in fourth place, pending the outcome of Juventus vs. Bologna, which kicks off later today. Worst case scenario, Roma finishes the weekend in 5th place, two points behind Juve or one point behind Bologna, setting the stage for a tense finish to the season as all three clubs (plus Lazio) jockey for Italy's fourth and final Champions League spot
