Linfield RoadProject Type: Bridge Replacement
This project involves replacing the existing bridge that carries Pleasant View Road over Sanatoga Creek
The proposed work also includes approach roadway reconstruction
and improvements at the intersection of Pleasant View Road and Linfield Road
The existing structure was constructed in 1931 and is in overall poor condition
The bridge will be replaced with a slightly improved horizontal alignment and a slightly raised profile grade to provide additional clearance over Sanatoga Creek and to improve the Pleasant View Road intersection with Linfield Road
single-span structure will be replaced with a slightly longer (58.5-foot) single-span structure
The structure width will be increased from an existing 23’ roadway width to a proposed 30’ roadway width
Traffic will be detoured for the duration of the construction period (duration approximately 5 months).

422 Sanatoga exchange westbound on-ramp is officially under construction after a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday with Limerick and Lower Pottsgrove township officials and project design and management leaders
(Limerick Township/Lower Pottsgrove Township)LIMERICK TOWNSHIP
PA — Limerick and Lower Pottsgrove township officials this week broke ground for construction of the new westbound on-ramp at the U.S
This new ramp is the first of two planned ramp improvements to the busy interchange
which will reduce traffic delays and improve roadway safety by eliminating the existing left-turn movement for vehicles entering Rt
Gathered for the June 10 groundbreaking were Edward Wagner
Lower Pottsgrove Township Manager; Robert W
of Sinking Springs was awarded the winning bid of $1,424,912
funded by a grant from the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Financing Authority
Both municipalities have agreed to cover the required 30 percent match of the overall $2 million dollar project including design
which was done in partnership with PennDOT
"This new ramp has been in the works for well over a decade and could not have happened if not for the positive working relationship between Limerick and Lower Pottsgrove
This cooperative effort is an example of how local municipalities can partner to achieve significant improvements that help our constituents without relying solely on the use of local taxes," said Lower Pottsgrove Township Chair
(TPD) of Pottstown completed the full design and obtained all necessary permits and is assisting both municipalities with grant administration during the construction
"TPD was pleased to assist both Townships with their commitment to improve current traffic safety issues
This new ramp will also help address longer term impacts of future growth that is expected over the next decade," said Joseph Platt
Construction of the new ramp is expected to be completed by November 2021
Lower Pottsgrove and Limerick townships have already begun preliminary planning for the next phase of the Sanatoga Interchange Improvements
A joint grant application will be part of the effort to cover the cost of the estimated $4 million project
so both municipalities can once again limit the use of local tax dollars in achieving a significant public improvement
"Long-term planning is a bedrock of the Limerick organization and has brought forth many positive improvements to our community
We thank PennDOT for their support and look forward to working with them again
who shares our pro-active approach to the future challenges facing our municipalities," said Limerick Township Chair

The new store will include roughly 200 employees -- about half of them come from Costco's in areas such as Montgomeryville and King of Prussia
who has been with the company for 25 years
Riekers began his job at Costco in Baltimore
later worked as general manager of stores in Lancaster and Gaithersburg
and has held that title at the company's King Of Prussia store for the last eight years
The Sanatoga Costco will mark his first time to open a new store
"I am thrilled to death with the way it looks
The Sanatoga store will be the first Costco in the Philadelphia area to have a gas station
The grand opening will incude limited edition items such as a $200,000 diamond ring
Riekers is confident the new 148,000-square-foot store will be successful
"I can’t remember the last time we closed a Costco," Riekers said
"We’ve opened several hundred buildings in the last 20 years."
Riekers said the store is ready to open pending completion of the local inspection and permit process
Memberships may be obtained in the new store's parking lot or online
"We’re looking forward to creating a family environment here for these employees and to hit the ground running as we open up next week," Riekers said
