Yellowstone County Deputy Coroner Rich Hoffman identified the men as Ray Bernard Wells, 71 of Park City, and James Rheinhart Horton, 71 of Laurel. According to the City of Laurel's interim chief administrative officer Kurt Markegard, the two men had left Laurel on Wednesday morning to go hunting on private land. “It was just two old-time friends out doing some deer hunting,” Markegard said. The hunters were believed to be on or near Markegard's family property. By Wednesday night multiple agencies, friends and family were out searching in the area between Spring Creek Road and Price Hill Road. "The driver of the vehicle (Horton) is a personal friend of mine. I've known him for 40 years," Markegard said. The Laurel Volunteer Fire Department, Yellowstone County Sheriff's Office, and the Air National Guard assisted in the search. "We're fortunate to have the resources that we do have and all the different agencies work very well together. So it makes these kinds of things go quicker and to try to find individuals as good as we can," Laurel Fire Chief JW Hopper said. "The searchers did an amazing job on the first night, but without those helicopters, the side-by-side was upside down in the bottom of a ravine and it was super, super hard to see." According to Markegard, the UTV had rolled down a ravine. “We went out and flew all the area out there and just did a grid search for where I knew he had been that morning. I'd seen his tracks in the snow...then we just found him in a ravine,” Markegard said. “I don't want to get into too many details, but they went from the top of a Coulee to the bottom.” © 2025 BVM Sports. South Jersey authorities have arrested the man suspected of robbing a TD Bank in Bridgeton just two days after the crime. Police identified the suspect as 57-year-old Bunky Chirichello from Wanaque, Passaic County. He now faces charges of first-degree robbery, first-degree conspiracy to commit robbery, and third-degree terroristic threats. The case is still under investigation, but officials have confirmed his arrest and are looking into more details. The robbery happened last Tuesday afternoon at the TD Bank on South Laurel Street in Bridgeton. Around 2:30 p.m., a man entered the bank, walked up to a teller, and handed over a note demanding cash. He reached behind the counter, grabbed a bag of money, and fled the scene on foot. There was no immediate mention of a weapon, but police classified the incident as a serious criminal offense. After reviewing security footage and gathering evidence, investigators identified Chirichello as the suspect. On Thursday, just two days after the robbery, law enforcement officers took him into custody. Officials have not yet shared details about how or where he was caught nor disclosed whether any stolen money has been recovered. Police are still working on the case and are encouraging anyone with more information to come forward. Those who wish to provide tips can contact Detective Cappoli of the Bridgeton Police Department at 856-451-0033 or submit anonymous tips through bpd.tips. Bank robberies are not common in Bridgeton, a city in Cumberland County with a population of about 27,000. However, when they do happen, they prompt a fast response from local authorities. In this case, police were able to track down a suspect quickly, preventing him from staying on the run for long. The charges Chirichello faces are serious, and if convicted, he could face a lengthy prison sentence. First-degree robbery alone carries a potential sentence of ten to twenty years in New Jersey, depending on the circumstances. For now, the case is still open, and police are working on gathering more details. No one was hurt during the robbery, but crimes like this can be scary for bank workers and customers. People in the area can feel a little safer knowing that the suspect has been caught, but police will keep investigating to make sure justice is served.
