what criteria should we consider when discussing the best places to retire in the Northeast
Travel + Leisure published its list of the 10 best places to retire in the Northeast for 2025
with the rankings based on Lower Taxes and Affordable Housing in the area
The main factors that were considered were the cost of living for two adults
According to Travel + Leisure and their yearly rankings for the ‘10 Best Places to Retire in the Northeast,’ their pick for the #8 spot is Vineland — praised for its "culturally diverse community filled with wonderful
and a cost of living well below the state average"

VINELAND — The former Landis MarketPlace at 631 E
is to reopen this fall as the Vineland Convention Center following a major overhaul of the building
city council members agreed to seek a $2.66-million grant from the New Jersey Urban Enterprise Zone to cover the cost of the work
The city last year abandoned an idea to renovate the building as a movie-making studio in partnership with the publication Weekly World News
City officials said the center will have approximately 40,000 square feet of space that's adaptable to small meetings or large events
community events and even some film studio operations

we are opening up new avenues for business development

contributing to the prosperity of our community for years to come."
The core building dates back to about 1958

Vineland became involved with the property first as a tenant of its new owner
The city then purchased it to facilitate redevelopment plans for East Landis Avenue
the building reopened as the Landis MarketPlace with an Amish market as its prime attraction
Since then city officials have struggled to come up with a viable new use
Vineland officials began talking with Weekly World News about using the building for a studio for film
This company used the building while making a movie here in 2023
and city officials at the time also considered financing an addition to the building
ran into trouble when consultants determined that several interior support poles were blocking the efficient use of space and would be too costly to remove

VINELAND — The first section of a major computer data center may be operational here as early as this summer as part of a major expansion program at Nebius Group N.V
The business is an artificial intelligence infrastructure company based in Holland
Its data center in Vineland would be the first one this far south in New Jersey and is designed to help meet a rapidly escalating demand for storage capacity
Almost all of the 70-plus existing data centers in New Jersey are in the north end of the state
Nebius Group announced the project March 5 alongside investments in an existing Kansas City facility and in Iceland
The company is increasing its capacity in Europe as well as the United States

The Vineland center would be its first major facility in this country
and the company said its goal is to complete the first phase of work in 20 weeks
The center’s capacity could be expanded up to 300 megawatts with all phases completed
The announcement did not state where in the city it would be built
“This site has the potential to host dedicated large-scale instances
and we have considerable flexibility to accelerate our deployment plans as and when we need to,” company founder Arkady Volozh said
we now have secured expansion capacity to (more than 400 megawatts),” added Volozh
who's also the chief executive officer for Nebius Group
“And we are actively reviewing options to extend this pipeline further as we seek to grow aggressively to multiples of where we are today.”
A company spokesman said the majority of Nebius Group clients are located in the United States
as are the majority of the clients own clients
More details came out March 6 with an announcement from DataOne that it had been chosen to build the data center using a design from Nebius
DataOne is an AI hosting infrastructure company based in France
DataOne founder Charles-Antoine Beyney on Thursday posted on a Linkedin page that the project will make Vineland “one of the epicenters of the new AI revolution!”

The proposal for the garage includes a plan for a three-bedroom apartment upstairs

New Jersey is known for being uniquely diverse
with its picturesque landscapes to its ease of access to big cities
so it's no wonder a city in the Garden State tops Travel + Leisure's list for best retirement destinations in the U.S
Vineland, located in southwest Jersey just 40 minutes from Philadelphia, landed in the top 10 on the travel magazine's best places to retire in the Northeast. The list is part of Travel + Leisure's "Destination: Retirement" series that was released last month
with the magazine teaming up with Investopedia to determine the nation's top 50 list
While it may give pause to those considering retirement this year due to recent economic developments, 2025 is a perfectly fine time to retire, as long as you ensure you've saved enough and have a plan, according to a recent report by Kiplinger
What makes Vineland, New Jersey a good place to retire?Vineland, Cumberland County's most populous municipality with about 60,800 residents, according to 2024 U.S. Census data
was noted for its vast agricultural landscape
affordability and its access to health care and entertainment
is located about 40 miles from Philadelphia
was touted for its wide range of housing styles
assisted living communities and nursing homes
Vineland earned a top 10 spot for most affordable small city in the country by the National Association of Home Builders
with the county's median home value at $205,600
The city also has three hospitals and 248 health care organizations

which calls the city a "culturally diverse community filled with wonderful
and a cost of living well below the state average."

MassachusettsLori Comstock is a New Jersey-based journalist with the Mid-Atlantic Connect Team
And while anyone who’s already read Pynchon’s 1990 classic featuring Zoyd Wheeler
a burnt hippie trying to survive Ronald Reagan’s American dystopia
no doubt rejoiced immediately at the prospect of Leonardo DiCaprio in a day-Glo muumuu
jumping through a plate glass window in full “Rick Dalton having a meltdown” mode
Pynchon is an unapologetically experimental postmodernist who writes challenging
depending on your bandwidth when the work finds you
either breeze by incoherently or sink in and changes your life
But if any of his novels appeared even remotely suited to a straightforward adaptation
a late masterpiece and one of the few novels he’s written that could be (very charitably) described as accessible
And the industrial vice complex providing that escape is a fantastic
vertically integrated Stonecutter conspiracy grift with its fangs in everything from racial gang warfare to gentrification to surf rock to dental hygiene
It’s a paranoid bad trip stuffed with perfectly surreal Comp Lit PHD dad joke Pynchon character names and food orders
Everyone is undercover with an agenda withholding information and playing each other for competing corporate or government interests
and the many interwoven Hannah Barbera plot tendrils collide via a series of postmodern serendipitous coincidences and a constant torrent of clues hurled at the reader like an crystal ashtray
which clatter and collide with little hand holding because ultimately it’s all meaningless close-up magic scaffolding and Doc is powerless and everything is futile and undone and leads nowhere
Anderson’s solution to this problem was more translation than adaptation—preserving large chunks of dialogue and narration intact—a wildly different job than he did seven years prior with Upton Sinclair’s Oil!
His film yadda-yaddas much of its byzantine Chandler-on-acid plot
making a coherent watch implausible without pre-existing familiarity
It’s less a standalone movie than an unconventional visual companion to the book
because by animating moments like blowing a duffel bag of coke with dentist Martin Short
the possessed melancholy of Josh Brolin’s rogue detective
Owen Wilson’s COINTELPRO snitch being reunited with his wife and daughter
and Joaquin Phoenix and Katherine Waterston’s run through the rain to score dope from a number drawn off a Ouija board
Neil Young and deeply felt emotion to moments the reader might have glossed over trying while trying to keep a grip on Pynchon’s Rube Goldbergian
This creates a true symbiotic adaptation in which the book and film combine to enrich the experience of both reading and viewing
It’s why the film received a muted response for Anderson
even as it was (correctly) upheld as a cult classic by diehard fans of both the director and the author
who goes underground with his teenage daughter Prarie in pursuit of his estranged ex-wife Frenesi
She betrayed Zoyd and the counterculture when she turned Fed informant for an underground State organization
This coincides with the reemergence of Brock Vond
the federal prosecutor Frenesi left Zoyd for
who spends the book in pursuit of Frenesi in an attempt to win her back
bizarre acronyms for government and countercultural organizations with insane functions and reasons for existing
creating networks of tangibly linked inventions and errant webbed plots and backing himself into corners to write out of
Early reports suggest Anderson's Vineland adaptation is less literal than Inherent Vice
beginning with his decision to change some names and update the setting
an exciting prospect for a director who hasn’t worked in the present since Punch Drunk Love in 2002
Rushdie also called Vineland “A major political novel about what America has been doing to itself
all these many years,” and it will be interesting to see what threads will be pulled to tie one Republican demagogue to another in this heightened political moment
Yet the budget and scale—and the advance buzz about this being the most commercial film of Anderson's career—seems blown out for what is on the page,
Zoyd Wheeler has apparently been rechristened “Ghetto Pat”
It’s been reported One Battle After Another is an action film whose tone blends two formative ‘80s film-geek texts: Jonathan Demme’s rebellion-and-romance-on-the-run caper Something Wild
with elements of Alex Cox’s apocalyptic underclass freakout Repo Man
If I had to speculate (and my editor has requested I do so please don’t @ me in six months) I’d guess much of the film’s story will be DiCaprio and Regina Hall with Chase Infiniti on the run from Penn and an army of fascist storm troopers in hot pursuit
featuring a series of badass car chases and night raids that gives PTA an excuse to empty his bag of all the cool action-set-piece ideas he hasn’t had an outlet (or budget) for in 30 years
The speculative movie now playing on a loop in my head is a fucking blast
One would think PTA has too much respect for his hero’s voice and style to completely disregard the source material—as he more or less did with Oil!—but either way
do yourself a favor and go grab a copy of Vineland
In the event the film strays further from the novel than expected
you simply read a great book that in no way will spoil the film

VINELAND — Residents of Maple Avenue and nearby areas finally had the public meeting with housing developer Rushin Gandhi they had wanted since last summer
Gandhi bought about 10 acres on the 2300 block of Maple Avenue in December 2023 with intent to build 18 single-family homes
But even this smaller-scale proposal was stymied at a contentious planning board hearing Wednesday night
The proposal would require numerous variances and waivers from residential zoning regulations
Gandhi was seeking a total of 100 regulatory exceptions

Maple Avenue resident Jordan Palmieri asked board members to think about what benefit the development possibly could deliver
“We are concerned about maintaining the character of our current neighborhoods,” Palmieri said
We have specifically chosen to live here due to the space between dwellings
"Allowing this project to occur as proposed will change the dynamic of our neighborhood,” he said
Concetta Lane resident Shirley Morrison said her family moved here in 2023 to what they saw as a “quiet” street
‘We care nothing about anybody who’s living on those property lines
We care about what’s happening right here,’” Morrison said
“And that is not what we signed up for when we moved here.”
in particular on the siting of multiple stormwater retention basins
Gandhi agreed to rework the project from 15 homes to 12 homes
“You have to find a way of getting (basins) away from the property lines,” Vice Chairman Mike Pantalione said
“Everything is just so tight and congested
Residents have tracked the proposal since it was publicly disclosed in late June 2024
The application was listed for public review and postponed multiple times in the second half of 2024
Residents' frustration over that spilled into the Jan
Scarpa Drive resident Kevin Sheppard questioned whether the developer’s team had checked for endangered species
He said a Southern tree frog population is known to live there
“The only way they can do an impact study now is to wait until next summer and clear it through,” Sheppard said
“And this has been postponed since last summer.”
An engineer for the project acknowledged that no study had been done
State government species maps had not indicated any tree frog presence
Project attorney Steven Yost said that the hearing delays had been necessary to adjust the design for stormwater drainage issues
“Nothing to do with tree frogs,” Yost said
Sheppard said three housing developments have been approved for the neighborhood in the last 15 years
One on Chapel Drive still is under construction and is causing traffic havoc
“The people who live there have been there for years and years,” Sheppard said
A date to continue the hearing has not been set
VINELAND — Construction could begin before the end of a year on a solar power field that would sit atop the former municipal landfill
feeding the city electricity and lease money
The concept for making use of a large piece of land judged unfit for any regular uses was dropped on Vineland more than three years ago
Members of the planning board met Wednesday night and approved a plan from Vineland Solar
a corporation formed to carry out the project
An attraction for the city is that the electricity created by the 27,540 solar panels is for the sole use of Vineland Municipal Electric Utility
The city would receive the energy at a below-market cost under a purchasing agreement with Vineland Solar

The company could exercise a five-year extension if it chooses
The lease arrangement would pay Vineland $20,000 per megawatt for an estimated annual revenue of $375,000
The company is also to pay a $4-million interconnection fee and is responsible for doing the work under Vineland Municipal Electric Utility supervision

The smoke of a distant fire can be carried incredible distances and still be a serious health threat
it’s a good idea to have thought about what to do if your eyes start to smart and your throat becomes raspy from that wildfire in the distance
Spring 2025 has brought a number of wildfires to South Jersey
with a large one as of Monday continuing to dance around Forked River Mountains Wilderness Area in Ocean County
‘Stay out of the areas if you don’t have to drive,’” Ocean County spokesman Brian Lippai said Monday

VINELAND — City government has its elected leaders in place for 2025
Vineland’s mayor and city council members were sworn in Tuesday night to four-year terms
and the mood in council chambers was even more celebratory than usual for a post-election reorganization
And that record is on top of having served on the council
Fanucci took his 2025 oath of office from retired state Superior Court Judge Julio L
“It’s extremely humbling,” Fanucci said afterward in the crowded chambers
“I’m usually the one administering these oaths to people as we promoted them or hired them to certain positions
that I will serve again with class and integrity
as I have done for the last eight years in this role and as I’ve done in my previous roles."
City council has a slightly new look for this term
thanks to the departures of Vice President David Acosta and Councilman Ronald Franceschini
Gomez and English ran on a mayoral-council slate assembled by Fanucci
Albert Vargas and President Elizabeth Arthur rounded out the council end of the slate
The slate’s easy wins in the November 2024 election ensured an unusually long continuity in government in Vineland
the largest and most populous municipality in Cumberland County
“It does mean the world to me that I’ve been able to impart some common sense to government,” Fanucci said
But we’ve worked very hard to make this city a better place
I cannot have done this without my team here
Spinelli returns for a second time as council president
a role that had gone to Arthur in their last term
“Anthony and his people have put together really good (department) directors and really have changed the climate of the people working for us,” Spinelli said
Spinelli said his fourth term will be his last
That’s where I’m going to try to be,” Spinelli said
promised to conduct himself as well as Acosta and Franceschini had
He also directly addressed the city’s Police Explorers
who marched in to open the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance
“For the young person that’s sitting here and wondering if they ever will get an opportunity to lead
I want to tell you tonight that if God did it for me
"I promise you that I will be the bridge to the next generation.”

VINELAND — A former pharmacy at a busy Delsea Drive intersection is getting a new purpose — as a carwash
Its design has an interior traffic pattern that puzzled city planners
but the Flagship Carwash company received its approval in the end Wednesday
The former Rite Aid building is 2791 South Delsea Drive
taking up the southeastern corner of the Sherman Avenue intersection
The 14,673-square-foot building is to be gutted to accommodate three service tunnels

The wet tunnel can take multiple vehicles at once on a 12-foot-wide conveyor belt
Drivers pay for various levels of cleaning
and the wet tunnel is sophisticated enough to differentiate among vehicles
Lombardo told the planning board that about a third of company properties are in converted buildings
and the number of tunnels and services varies
Cumberland County planners approved the project earlier in the week
The New Jersey Department of Transportation still will have to review the project because it is off a state highway and the carwash is a new use at the 2.1-acre site
Flagship Carwash mainly operates in Virginia
Rite Aid received city approval for the pharmacy in April 2006

VINELAND — A Taco Bell restaurant prototype with a sleek
all-black exterior will replace one at a South Delsea Drive site the fast-food chain has occupied for decades
introduced to city planners the evening of Wednesday
also follows the post-COVID era trend of downsizing interior seating and adding drive-thru lanes
“We’ve actually got an approval two or three years ago for another Taco Bell in the city,” project engineer Brian Cleary said during testimony

Board members unanimously approved the replacement project
which a representative for ownership said probably will not start until 2026
Board Vice Chairman Michael Pantalione said the prototype will be the third Taco Bell to be built at the same 3920 South Delsea Drive location
“It’s one of their better stores,” Pantalione said
where officials will have to approve the replacement
This new restaurant is to be 2,730 square feet
versus the existing one at 2,605 square feet
the long side of its replacement building is to face toward South Delsea Drive
The number of trees on site are to be increased for aesthetics
I think it would be good to break that up a bit with some trees,” city Supervising Planner Kathleen Hicks said
Cleary said the all-black design is receiving good reactions where it’s been introduced
Board member David Catalana questioned whether the design made enough allowances for vehicles stacking up as drivers waited to order
Cleary said the new design is calculated to speed up order taking and pick-up
since drive-thru traffic has increased so much in recent years
This design has two meal ordering boards to match the two drive-thru lanes
and studies have found that this reduces the traffic bottleneck
“Everything that we’ve seen has been the menu board is the determining factor for the total que length,” Cleary said

VINELAND — It's the first week of a new reality for Keith Petrosky

Petrosky worked at various posts in public relations

His gig as campaign manager caught the attention of Squillace & Associates

“He hired me to come to work for them to mainly do political stuff,” Petrosky said
“We ended up doing the candidate for mayor of Atlantic city
We had an office here and one in Atlantic City
The first move was an interview to become the next chamber of commerce executive director
The chamber job opened up again a short while later
and in June 1983 he took over running the chamber and continued there until May 1989
Petrosky was part of a committee established to persuade New Jersey to site a proposed regional food distribution center in Vineland
That effort impressed then-Mayor Harry Curley to offer Petrosky the recently vacated post of city economic development director
holding the post for just a few years before being tapped to succeed longtime City Clerk Dolores Lopergolo

is expecting thousands of visitors at Saturday’s event

A cherry lager will make its festival debut at the Victoria Avenue fruit farm event
Cherry and peach tree blossoms are starting to come out just in time for the annual BlossomFest at Cherry Lane in Vineland on Saturday
“We are at about five to 10 per cent (of our trees) in bloom right now,” Michelle Smith, general manager of Cherry Lane and BlossomFest organizer
we’ll probably be at about 10 per cent (on Saturday)
We always say we can’t control the weather — wish we could.”
Smith said music will be featured on the parking lot stage for the festival
There will be 33 vendors in a barn and four food trucks and a mobile store also in the parking lot
“For most of these vendors and food trucks
it’s their first festival of the year,” said Smith
She said about 10,000 people attended last year’s event
Attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items for the food bank at Community Care of West Niagara
Making its debut at BlossomFest is Lagershed cherry lager, made by Shawn & Ed Brewing Co. in Dundas
“It has historically been a very successful product for us at the brewery and so we want to leverage that success and get it out to more people,” said brewery owner Ed Madronich
He said the company has been making cherry beer for distribution in kegs the past three or four years
Saturday will be the first time the product will be available in cans at the Lincoln festival and in area LCBO stores
The company uses Cherry Lane cherry concentrate in its lager
“It’s not a sweet beer or anything like that
Madronich said the cherry lager has been made as a summertime beverage
the company may produce the brew year-round
Paul Di Ianni, director of economic development and communications for the Town of Lincoln
said BlossomFest is a big draw for the local economy
for every dollar the private sector invests in festivals and events
it can generate upwards of $20 in visitor expenditures both on location and in the community,” Di Ianni said
“The town continues to encourage the private sector to do more events like this
increasing cross-sectoral collaboration to bring more people to the community to enjoy everything the Niagara Benchlands has to offer.”

A website dedicated to all things film-related
This year’s 12th edition of the Scary Movies festival at Film at Lincoln Center premiered Ari Aster’s extended version of “Midsommar” this past Saturday
Just a quick update on Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another.” It’s been finally confirmed
that the film was “inspired” by Thomas Pynchon’s “Vineland.” The test reactions hinted that was the case
but it’s good to have official confirmation
You can check out a copy of the filing at the bottom of this article
Anderson has mentioned “Vineland,” numerous times over the years and, in a 2014 Time Out interview
even insinuated that he tried to script it: “I'd wanted to adapt “Vineland”
It seemed to be a great way to translate [Pynchon] into a movie
“I am the type of person who hears there’s a new Pynchon book, and I will go to the Internet five times a minute to see what new information there is. I am that pathological about it. So, when I heard there was a new book, I was just waiting and waiting for it to come out.” — IndieWire
“I read Vineland a couple of months ago, and there were sections where I felt like I was just floating. I got a high out of it.” — Rolling Stone
“Vineland,” which all these years has been described as an unfilmable novel
has an almost indescribable plot so it makes sense that PTA would decide to take liberties with the source material
and turn it more into a loosely inspired adaptation
The core plot of “Vineland” revolves around the reunion of Zoyd Wheeler
the novel explores their past involvement in radical progressive movements
and the impact of her actions on their daughter
a corrupt and authoritarian DEA agent who tries to suppress the remnants of the counterculture
Anderson has already tackled a Thomas Pynchon novel in the past
2014’s “Inherent Vice.” That turned out to be the most polarizing movie of his career
the author’s way of writing and telling a story is a beast of its own
can be seen as a real chore to translate on screen

there’s one rule for the Millville High School football team
“Don’t lose to Vineland,” senior Jamal Wallace Jr

The Thunderbolts have obeyed the order in recent years
en route to a 42-7 victory over Vineland on a soggy Turkey Day at Gittone Stadium
It was Millville’s fifth straight win in the series and the team's 12th victory over the last 16 seasons
The recent surge has tied the all-time series at 67-67-19
a rivalry that began in 1893 and is among the longest in the country

Thursday’s game was the final chapter in the scholastic career of Millville’s Lotzeir Brooks
who rewrote the state’s record books on his way to becoming the best wide receiver the Garden State has ever produced at the high school level
Brooks wrapped up his Millville football days with three catches for 72 yards and his 67th career touchdown
but I’m ready to get to the next level,” said Brooks

“Just playing with my teammates since I’ve been in the midget league when we were all six years old
Brooks is the only receiver in state history to rack up three 1,000-yard seasons (just missing the mark a fourth time with 971 yards as a freshman) and post 506 career points
according to football historian Chuck Langerman
He also owns state records with 4,615 career receiving yards and 67 career receiving touchdowns and is the South Jersey record holder with 223 career receptions among many others
When asked if one individual achievement meant more than another
Brooks’ final scholastic catch was a 23-yarder on a fourth-down play that moved the chains in the fourth quarter
His final TD reception was scored in typical Brooks fashion
taking a short pass and bolting through the Vineland defense for a 49-yard score
Next up for Brooks will be playing on Saturdays in Tuscaloosa and
on Sundays in the National Football League
Wallace wasn’t RB1 on the Millville depth chart when the season started in August
Fast forward to his final scholastic game and the senior wasn’t just a starter
culminating with a four-touchdown performance against Vineland
And that’s what he credits his success to – literally
who plans to attend college and study psychology

So that training really helped me out a lot and made my feet quicker
Wallace is a punishing runner who appeared to get stronger as the game progressed
he rushed for a career-high 156 yards and four touchdowns in the sectional final against Brick Memorial
“I’m very proud of that kid because he’s an amazing young man
Millville got the opportunity to capture the first Tony Surace/John Pierantozzi Victory Cup
newly named after two of the legendary coaches in the rivalry’s history
The trophy was previously named after the Daily Journal
The Thunderbolts finished their season at 10-3
grabbing the program’s third sectional title in the last four years
The program went 44-8 over the last four seasons
including a state title in 2022 and a regional title in 2021
“We wanted to get that state championship ring
we still got a trophy that we can put in that trophy box,” Brooks said
Vineland struck first as Charles Clark scored on a 6-yard touchdown in the first quarter
It was the Fighting Clan’s first score against Millville since 2022 and just their second lead against the Thunderbolts in the last five meetings
It’s the second straight five-win season under head coach Jose Guzman
Millville senior Demere White rushed for a touchdown

City Commissioner Nick Lulli said the city hired an expert to look into the stormwater issues
The expert found more problems at the site where the new homes were supposed to be built
“We had our stormwater engineering consultant there who said that he could not guarantee that we would not have to widen this stormwater pond in order to accommodate all of the water that would be generated by this development,” Lulli said
He mentioned that there are similar problems with stormwater systems in other parts of the city
Lulli thinks the developer might try other ways to keep building
we also are going to hear from the developer as well to see if they still have any new plans as well because they do still own this property,” Lulli added
The city leaders also agreed to think about buying the land
They might use it for conservation or turn it into a park

The Republican is seeking his third term in the nonpartisan office
Anthony Fanucci on Tuesday announced his intentions to run for a third term as mayor of Vineland
The mayor of Vineland is a nonpartisan office, but Fanucci is a Republican who endorsed Republican Senate nominee Curtis Bashaw
Fanucci has served since 2017 as mayor of Vineland
Cumberland County’s largest municipality and the 26th-most populous municipality in the state
“I love Vineland,” Fanucci said in a release
“I could never imagine as a young man growing up that I would have the genuine honor to serve as the mayor of this great city
and the privilege to represent some of the finest people in New Jersey.”
Incumbent Vineland Councilmembers Elizabeth Arthur
and Albert Vargas will join Fanucci on his ticket
The mayor also endorsed newcomers Scott English and Cruz Gomez for the council
we have been able to move Vineland forward towards long-term fiscal stability while addressing important community priorities,” Fanucci said in the release
we have been able to do this while keeping the municipal tax rate among the lowest of any large municipality in the region.”
Former Vineland Mayor Robert Romano also filed to run. Romano, a 71-year-old former police lieutenant who was elected mayor in 2008 but lost reelection in 2012, was arrested in March after allegedly driving his car into a metal fence at the city hall’s parking lot
with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving.
