The Tomb Raider TV series from Amazon and Phoebe Waller-Bridge looks to no longer be happening
According to Daily Mail sources
the project is - much like many animals and people that Lara Croft crosses paths with - "dead"
Meanwhile, when it comes to reports that Game of Thrones' Sophie Turner was set to star as the series' globe-trotting lead
a source said that "this is not going ahead"
The Mail's report comes after Jennifer Salke announced she was stepping down as head of Amazon MGM Studios after seven years
Salke was a driving force behind getting Phoebe Waller-Bridge on board with Amazon
According to an interview with Puck, and reported by Screen Rant, Waller-Bridge is yet to even produce a script for the Tomb Raider series
which Waller-Bridge has been working on and which Salke was personally overseeing after announcing a series pickup last May
has now gone through two writers rooms and tens of millions of dollars in development costs," reads the report
While things aren't looking promising for Amazon's Tomb Raider series
the company is yet to officially announce the project has been scrapped
Eurogamer has contacted the company for more information
We first got wind of Waller-Bridge's Tomb Raider Amazon series in 2023
before it was firmed up further in May last year
"If I could tell my teenage self that this was happening, I think she'd explode," said Waller-Bridge at that time
"Tomb Raider has been a huge part of my life and I feel incredibly privileged to be bringing it to television with such passionate collaborators
In August last year, Amazon Games boss Christoph Hartmann said development on the upcoming Tomb Raider game from Crystal Dynamics and Amazon was "going well", but did not elaborate much further than that.

I always knew Calera had a great reputation in our local town
but it wasn’t until I started to dive into the wine world when I realised it’s reputation around the world
I started to drink the wines towards the end of my time at UC Davis and realised then that this would be a dream for me to work for Josh Jensen
You have made your winemaking name at the estate - but going back to the beginning what were your thoughts when Josh Jensen gave you the opportunity to join in 2007
Mike Waller says he has so much to thank Josh Jensen for not only in how to make consistently good wine
At that point I already knew I wanted to make Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. I was working for Chalone at the time and was ready to jump into a bigger role at another winery
I had met Josh several times prior to the move and was actually calling him for a reference when he said that he was just thinking of calling me for a position at Calera
How would you describe Josh Jensen as a winemaker and what unique qualities did he have
but got his start at two of the most renowned wineries in the world
Josh learned to make wine in the early 1970s and brought that back with him
Josh had a very hands off approach and allowed the wines to make themselves (whole cluster fermentations and native yeast)
These were things I hadn’t experienced prior to Calera
but you have to trust that these things have worked for him for the first 30 years of making wine
What did you learn most from him that you think still helps you today in the wines you make and how you work with the vines and in the cellar
Consistency is the key to good quality winemaking is a message that Josh Jensen has passed on to Mike Waller
Josh believed in the property and never chased the latest trends
He kept the winemaking style consistent year in and year out
The quality of the soils and the location of the vineyards that make up the wines for Calera are what give it the edge
How do you think the wines you are making today have evolved since you first started in 2007
As far as the wines we were making in 2007 the wines are all holding up beautifully
Our latest planting from the late 90s (Ryan and deVilliers) were very tannic in those first five to 10 years of being here
as the roots dig deeper into the limestone soils
the tannins soften and the wines take on more complexity
What do you see as being the biggest milestones - key decisions that you and the estate have made during that time
The Central Coast wines (Chardonnay and Pinot Noir) have changed over time
We partnered with great growers and learned how to work the vineyards
I think these wines have much more consistency and bolder flavours than they did in the early years
Harlan Chardonnay gets more contact with lees and longer barrel aging time
but found that 15 months of aging gave the wine more richness and complexity
What would you pick out as the key characteristics of a Calera Pinot Noir that makes it so distinct from other wineries in California
Our wines have structure and great phenolics that give these wines tension
I believe it’s a combination of three components: limestone soil; elevation; and the ability to use whole cluster fermentations
Not all vineyards can achieve stem ripeness like Mt
How do you see the use of oak now and ageing compared to what was being done 20 years ago
Our oak regimen has also remained consistent
We use about 10% for the Central Coast wines
What are you still learning from your single vineyards and the unique qualities of the Mt Harlan area
We would love to be able to keep these in the ground forever
but unfortunately some vineyards begin to decline in production to a point that it’s not sustainable
The Jensen and Reed are 50 years old this year and still producing beautiful fruit
The Ryan and deVilliers are very healthy closing in on 30 years
What are you still learning from the limestone that is at the heart of your Pinot Noirs
The Calera range of wines are now part of Top Selection's portfolio in the UK as part of its partnership with Duckhorn that took over the estate in 2017
Limestone is for sure the heart of our story
We’ve learned that our original rootstock of St
George is really integral in dealing with calcareous soils and drought conditions
In the mid 70s there were basically two rootstocks most people were using - AXR 1 and St
What differentiates your Pinot Noir from the classic styles of Burgundy
Like all great wines around the world it’s all about the site and terroir
I can easily identify our wines in a flight of Burgundy - they have a true sense of place
Harlan wines to Burgundy is their ageability and structure
What do you see as your biggest opportunities still as a winemaker and for the estate
Focusing on the vineyard replants and possibly finding a more reliable water source
Our average annual rainfall is around 16 inches
We rely heavily on rain because we don’t have very productive wells
Our soils are very porous and don’t hold a lot of water
but it allows the roots to dig deeper into the limestone
As a winemaker I feel that I will continue to tell the story as Josh would
It’ll be my job to pass the torch down to next winemaker
but for now I feel like I can do this for another 20 years
What do you see as your biggest challenges and how do you look to overcome them
From the vineyard standpoint it’s all about the water
We need it to keep these vines healthy and productive
From the wine standpoint we are in tough times with tariffs and the next generation of wine drinkers
I am proud of the opportunity I have had here
and I hope he would be proud of how I am carrying on the story

most Fed officials have commented gingerly about the impact of tariffs on monetary policy amid uncertainty over the exact details of the tariff agenda
including whether the taxes will be maintained.Waller’s comments on Thursday flagged the uncertainty of understanding how tariffs will impact the economy and noted that changes in the state of the economy as well as Trump's shift to a harder line make it difficult to compare the two periods for policy clues.Waller suggested however that limiting the pass-through of whatever tariffs endure might be harder this time
“It's very hard to eat a 25% tariff out of the profit margins,” he said. The central banker also said that when it comes to gauging inflation expectations he’s more focused on market measures over survey data
the message of market pricing suggests that traders and investors see no real longer-run inflation impact from current Trump policies' goals.Reporting by Michael S

On March 7 this story was updated to include that the Brookshire City Council had also approved a tax abatement deal with Tesla in a vote they took on the evening of March 6
Texas (Covering Katy News) — A tax abatement agreement that will bring Tesla and approximately 1,500 jobs to the Empire West industrial park in Brookshire was approved by the Waller County Commissioners Court on Wednesday
On Thursday night the Brookshire City Council also approved a tax abatement deal for Tesla
The Empire West industrial park is located on Woods Road between Highway 90 and Interstate 10
Tesla will operate a new Megapack battery storage manufacturing facility at a 1 million-square-foot building
which was initially constructed with no tenant on speculation that it would attract jobs and economic development
Stream Realty built the so-called "spec" building at its Empire West business park
Stream will also oversee the construction of a new 600,000-square-foot distribution facility with some manufacturing capabilities
Tesla Megapacks are used to store electricity for large renewable energy projects which are not a consistent producer of power
Solar does not produce energy at night when it's dark
and wind energy does not produce electricity when the wind isn't blowing and the turbines aren't spinning
Tesla's Megapacks store power for use during times when renewable energy sources aren't generating electricity
"I want to thank Tesla for investing in Waller County and Brookshire," said Vince Yokom, the Waller County Economic Development Partnership executive director
"This will be a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for their Megapack product
It is a powerful battery unit that provides energy storage and support to help stabilize the grid and prevent outages."
The deal has been developing for months but Tesla has held the lease on the building since October 2021 where third-party logistics company
and Tesla will be moving into that building which will be used to manufacture Tesla's Megapacks
This expansion follows Tesla's headquarters relocation from California to Texas in December 2021
after opening its 4 million-plus-square-foot Gigafactory in Austin
"This is another excellent example of our spec building program
which has been used by Waller County since 2010 to attract new investment to the area," Yokom said
"Brookshire also implemented a similar program for Stream Realty to expand Empire West."
Tesla will receive tax abatements from Waller County based on property improvements
The deal includes $44 million in facility improvements and $150 million in Tesla manufacturing equipment that Tesla will install
The next phase involves a new $31 million distribution facility with about $2 million in Tesla distribution equipment and building upgrades

"This was a great partnership effort between Waller County and the city of Brookshire
who represented Brookshire and currently oversees the city's economic development program
He was instrumental in making the deal a success," Yokom said
we expect job posting to come later as the facility first needs to be made ready for use

The Mail said the project — which would have been based on the long-running Tomb Raider video game franchise — may have been impacted when head of Amazon Studios Jennifer Salke
was "booted" from her position last week
However, Puck reports Salke provided "a brutal update" before she left Amazon
intimating Waller-Bridge had allegedly not produced a script despite the $20 million-a-year deal she signed in 2019
with Puck reporting that Salke was "personally overseeing after announcing a series pickup last May," and the series "has now gone through two writers rooms and tens of millions of dollars in development costs
hoping to make an MCU-like interconnected universe
Though best-known for Fleabag, Waller-Bridge is no stranger to the action-adventure genre after scripting the James Bond film No Time to Die and starring in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny
It all went quiet, however, until reports that Waller-Bridge hoped to create something "dangerous and exciting" bubbled up last May as she opened up about her love of Lara growing up
"My parents were very smart because they didn't actually limit me," she recalled
"They could sense that I was going to just game myself into the ground
'I've got to not do that because I've got to write and read and do other stuff.' "
Amazon and Waller-Bridge have declined to comment on the rumors
Vikki Blake is a reporter, critic, columnist, and consultant. She's also a Guardian, Spartan, Silent Hillian, Legend, and perpetually High Chaos. Find her at BlueSky.
But Amazon got BlackRock points for having her, so they just… kept letting that slide for 5 years?
60 million for no tv shows under her exclusivity contract, and whatever she is getting paid now for her first look contract.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge has literally cost Amazon more than every episode of Invincible ever made, and probably Clarkson's Farm combined. Value for money for a writer who just makes shows for middle class metropolitan women.
It really beggars belief how and why Fleabag became unfathomably popular - I thought I'd give it a chance; managed about 5 mins and switched it off...She absolutely castrated Indy and now this has happened....Good to see folk are starting to see how vile her roles are 🙄🙂
Was this before or after the Snow White debacle and Disney shelving the Tangled remake?
Best news of the day. If china stops buying from Hollywood, that will force them to making movies we want to see, instead if what Hollywood thinks we want to see
Everything about this project was wrong anyway. Something I'd love to see Sophie Turner do, though, is if they ever make a Fleetwood Mac Docudrama, it would be cool to see her as Christine McVie. I think she could pull that off amazingly.
I enjoyed the Alicia Vikander movie and was disappointed they never made a sequel. A tv series would be the next avenue for Tomb Raider, if it can replicate the quality and succes of Last of Us and Fallout
Never saw Fleabag but Indy 5 and No Time to Die were awful. Bond in particular was just a massacre, goad this is dead. Sophie Turner would have been a cool Croft though
Shocked. Shocked I say. Anyways, when they going to confirm they canceled all those Sony PS game into movie/shows?
Good. More fool on Amazon for paying that woman 18 million (that's her cut of the 60 million deal) to not deliver anything. She was hired by Jennifer Salke who has influenced the worst parts of Amazon films & shows with her desires & opinions. Bezos & Mike Hopkins finally saw sense & got rid of Salke before she could mess with Bond.
How can you not write a script for this in 6 years? Hot girlboss Indiana Jones minus the extraterrestrial stuff. You are welcome amazon I just solved your problem I only require 1 million dollars.
And Mass Effect is next on the chopping block I guess. Other than some corporate fucks getting more payment, what's the point of \"video game adaption\"?
After the whole Nintendo Switch 2 price controversy is nice to finally have some freaking good news

she’ll deliver a cheat sheet of all the pieces she recommends you scoop up before it’s too late and the most dreaded three words in online shopping (“out of stock”) appear
“This is a world in which I live and breathe,” Waller says
“I get to be a ‘fashion detective’ day in and day out
and I have eyes and ears all over the globe.” Let the fashion snooping begin
There’s a feeling of ‘fun’ in the air at present. I have just returned back from Coachella, which I decided to go to on the morning of (woke up Saturday morning and thought “why not!” (I love a spontaneous moment.) Now back home in LA, I’m looking forward to the month ahead with travel to Canada, New Zealand, and Australia all locked in.
With spontaneity and all things fun on my mind, it is refreshing and exciting to also see that within my sourcing requests at present: there’s been an influx of multi-color embellishment from Khaite, silver sequins from Jimmy Choo, wooden beading from Saint Laurent, and green metallics from Prada, all popping up in my DMs. It’s certainly a strong sign that summer is right around the corner.
I’m excited for you to feel the fun and excitement from this month’s hot list. I hope you love them as much as I (and my DMs!) do.
The Rosie Huntington-Whiteley effect in full force. She was recently spotted wearing this Saint Laurent bag, and the requests have been flowing in ever since. I’m calling it now, this will be summer’s most-wanted bag. Wooden beading has never looked so chic!
The Coach bag of the moment. Requests have been prominent ever since the moment this bag walked the runway—a rare occurrence as not every runway style results in immediate pre-order demand, but this bag did. It was our best selling bag this past month, consistently across all the colors. Please ensure you sign up to restock notifications (or DM us directly for a sourcing request) to make it yours.
Jimmy Choo has created the mule of the summer. Produced in a number of colorways, from black and white to aquamarin, the biscuit/silver combo has taken the lead as my most requested. The epitome of fun and stylish!
A style I had immediate requests for the moment they hit the runway. Miu Miu is by far the most requested brand that I receive pre-order requests for, and for spring/summer 2025, this clog sandal dominated. Slight disclaimer, I would recommend purchasing the socks separately to complete the look (exactly how they were styled on the runway!).
There is a new tote style (although I refer to it as a clutch) from The Row that is making waves quickly. Dubbed the “mini Margaux,” I personally like that it is hardware-free, allowing for a multitude of new styling opportunities. The green has been the color most requested in my DMs, but as it’s currently sold out, I’m linking the black instead.
You’re going to notice quite a bit of Prada in this column—and for good reason. One, Prada continues to soar throughout my sourcing requests. Two, Mytheresa just last week announced that they are now shipping Prada to both the U.S. and Canada. This is big news as it means a new door to sold-out Prada pieces has opened. At the top of my list are the raffia Mary Jane flats.
Coming in at a close second is this slightly different platform leather style. I’m envisioning, and preparing, to see these everywhere come summer. It’s a big call to make, but this may just be one of my top five Mary Jane styles ever produced! They won’t be available for long.
One of my extremely stylish Australian clients recently requested this style in pink, and they been placed on my radar ever since. A vibrant style from Prada that is screaming for a night out, I can see it being worn for many, many years to come (future vintage, perhaps?).
Nothing says “summer is around the corner” quite like a Prada tank top—year after year, there is one specific style that pops up into my DMs. This season, it’s their striped cotton tank. Produced in an array of the most beautiful summer colors, the pink and yellow mixed with the rich burgundy and navy, is truly chef’s kiss.
This style was placed on my to-watch list a few weeks ago, and it’s gradually making it’s way up to becoming sold out. TikTok It girl Chelsea Parke recently posted them on her TikTok, and by perusing the comments, I was certainly not alone in saying they are a summer must-have. The kitten heel makes them even more irresistible—you won’t want to take them off!
Chloé and summer go hand in hand. We recently posted this style on our Instagram stories, and the influx of requests and queries was instant. They were produced in multiple colors, but the brown is the one to snap up now.
Another style we teased on our stories and in an instant, the requests popped off. Bella Hadid was recently spotted wearing this style, and although the Le City isn’t anything new, the camel certainly is! You may be surprised to know this was our bestselling bag last week. It’s showing available now for pre-order, I would recommend jumping on it.
The newest colorway of iconic Dries Van Noten sneakers is here, and trust me when I say these sneakers are not going anywhere any time soon. In fact, Hailey Bieber was just spotted wearing them over the weekend at Coachella. At this price point for a designer sneaker, it’s an easy add-to-cart moment.
Pucci, you truly can do no wrong. Requests for the brand continue to rise in my DM folder at this time of the year, in preparation for the summer season. Without a doubt, the style that is by far the most requested is their classic twill top. Reinterpreted in new colors each season, the halterneck top is a Euro summer essential. There is a lucky Size L ready to be secured today!
The Kos Clog is my best selling Hermès style this month. The black and tan have been an equal best seller, but as they were also produced in white, I wanted to call those out as well. I’m told they are extremely comfortable, and for now, there are a few sizes left ready to be yours.
I’ve covered the Miu Miu moccasin before but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to feature them again, this time in their newest “naturale” style. They feature a leather and woven canvas upper with a rubber sole. If you potentially missed out on the all leather, or are wanting something slightly different, this is the style for you!
Although requests for this style haven’t yet commenced, I feel confident in placing a bet that they are about to come. This design has all elements of a style that will pop off. It’s not based simply on a gut check, that is based on over six years of watching for exactly this. I’m confident in making the call that these are about to sell out, and sourcing requests are inevitable.
A second Saint Laurent summer bag has made it into this month’s list, and I’m blaming it on the open beaded design that is simply too good to resist. I think we can all envision ourselves carrying this by the seaside this summer season, and with its leather base, it’s perfect to hold all of your beach essentials.
I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect black leather wedge and to my luck
the newest collaboration between Gia Borghini x Grandquist provided me with exactly what I was looking for
I’m envisioning this styled with one or two very chic anklets
I’ll add that this entire collaboration collection is one to jump on
I attended the launch event just over a week ago and viewing all the styles in person
Cost-per-wear is a statement I reference often—put simply, I want to ensure I am purchasing (and recommending!) pieces that offer the highest chance of utility to justify their cost. Suddenly a $1,000 shoe becomes more enticing if you know you’re going to wear it over and over again.
Quality is a key component as well, to assure whatever you buy endures the test of time. You will find craftsmanship at the forefront throughout this month’s list, with pieces from some of the most sought-after luxury brands. Without further ado, let’s jump into it.
You may see quite a bit of The Row in this month’s list. The proof is in the pudding, as the classic saying goes. The Row’s quality is unbeatable, and a classic gold kitten heel is a must. A wardrobe item that will last the test of time.
No brand does a leather bomber jacket as well as Saint Laurent. A bold statement to make, but one expressed for a reason. They’ve continued to iterate on the style over the years, and this one is a true investment piece. You will own this jacket forever.
A style I’m always surprised to see when it’s showing in stock: Savette’s Slim Symmetry Pochette is as chic and elevated as it gets. An iconic Savette style, that can be worn time and time again. “Endless use” are two words that come to mind when I think of the Slim Pochette.
Every wardrobe needs a high-quality trench coat. It’s a style that will never date, can be worn throughout multiple seasons, and can elevate any look in seconds. My pick for the month is this newest style from Dries Van Noten—the animal print trims provide a unique touch.
Say hello to The Row’s newest tote bag: the Marlo. I’m predicting it to be a top in-demand style. Produced in multiple colors, the Chestnut is currently available for pre-order, and I certainly wouldn’t hesitate to get it on it now. Consider it your everyday workhorse that will stand the test of time. That is the beauty of The Row.
The Le Teckel from Alaïa is by far my most requested style from the brand, but I have particularly chosen their newest denim version for this month’s list, with durability in mind. As much as I truly love suede, it is harder to care for in time. Denim on the other hand, is virtually indestructible.
Everyone, and I truly mean everyone, needs the perfect black dress in their wardrobe. It’s the go-to piece that you can reach for at any time throughout the year, and no second thoughts or deep thinking needed. My answer to the perfect LBD is Alaïa’s newest Skater style. Designed and shaped to perfection, it is an easy ‘add to cart’ moment for me.
Loewe can do no wrong. I could finish this paragraph there, but I do want to specifically mention that Loewe was founded as a leather-making company in 1846, and decades later, their commitment to art and craft with the utmost quality remains as strong as ever. Its newest leather jacket in brown is the ideal example of that. I personally love the gathered hem line, and the logo detail on the back (chic!).
A couple of years back, the Cassandre shirt by Saint Laurent took over my DMs in the navy blue color. Fast forward to the present time, and they have released a linen version in green. Regardless of whether this “pops off” or not (very Gab lingo!), this is a style that I immediately think of cost per wear. It can be worn and styled in so many ways.
The style name says it all. This belt is iconic. A runway piece from Chloé that I feel strongly we will be looking back on in 20+ years from now. This is the collection that placed Chloé back on the “trending” map. This collection will be talked about in years to come.
I’m sure it will come as no surprise that Magda Butrym made it into my cost-per-wear list. It is a brand that I find myself coming back to collection after collection, and the quality is what keeps me coming back. A classic red sweater is a wardrobe staple, and this new season cropped version is a very easy yes.
Another classic wardrobe staple is a cashmere and silk cardigan, specifically in grey. The cherry on top is the slight logo placement. I’m on board with quiet luxury being out, and this chic little cardigan is a great segue back into a more “maximalist” mindset. The subtle logo placement is the exact amount of “loud.”
Coming from someone who lives in jeans while in LA, I have tried and tested many, many pairs over the years. My most recent pair being EB Denim’s Low Rise Baggy style. I audibly gasped when I put them on for the first time; they fit me to absolute perfection. Denim is hard to get right, and EB Denim has it down pat. This is my go-to denim brand.
The Rodeo bag from Balenciaga is a style that has made it into my list before, but this season I am drawn to the newest brown color, for its worn-in look. I’m sure I’m not alone when I refer to the gut-wrenching moment of leather scratching, but with this bag, it feels almost encouraged to wear it in and embrace the patina. I like that, and with that in mind, know that I would have this piece forever.
Guest In Residence is a recent discovery of mine. I’ve known of the brand for some time, but it was only a few weeks ago that I tried (and purchased) my first piece. The reason why? The quality. The pieces are made from the most luxurious cashmere, and sold at a very good price point. The color options are endless, but if you are new to the brand, my recommendation would be to start with the cream. See for yourself just how incredible the quality is.
A spring/summer 2025 runway find that immediately made waves—I can confidently say this clutch will be a future vintage style. Generations to come will speak of it. It is iconic Chloé, and does not get any better than this.
Chloé’s spring/summer 2025 collection has started to drop, and if you’re looking for the swimsuit that is not only iconic to the brand, but can double as a bodysuit (cost per wear as its finest!), look no further than this latest one-piece. This plum color is trending, but if you lean more classic, you can also opt for black.
My final Chloé piece in this month’s list, but an essential as any other future vintage style. The wedge sandals were not only spotted on the runway, but guests were wearing them, too. It created a moment, and it was reported on heavily. I expect that moment to be spoken about again in years to come, and how great will it be to own the item yourself!?
Ending this month’s list with the most beautiful Jil Sander suede clutch I may have ever seen, but this is particularly sentimental as it will be one of the last clutches designed by the designers Lucie and Luke Meier, who as of last week, announced their departure from the brand. If you like collecting pieces from certain designers’ final collections, this is the one to go for.
one of my favorite emails entered my inbox
It was titled: “Introducing The Spring 2025 Collection.” I will admit I’ve never opened an email with such speed and excitement
I was met with an assortment of pieces that I immediately said to myself: these will sell out
Each year, when spring collections begin to drop
The prospect of warmer weather and fewer layers is an exciting one—even if it means hanging up our suede and shearling staples for a few more seasons
I’m calling it now, these are the mesh flats that we are going to see everywhere. I posted them on our @gabwallerdotcom stories a couple of weeks ago (I love getting exclusive first release images!), and the DMs went wild. Sales were immediate. Please note, they do run big, I would recommend sizing down one full size.
If you’re anything like me, I am starting to look for my go-to summer bag now. The one that has immediately caught my eye is the new Sol bag by The Row. Available now for pre-order, I’m making the call now that we will see this bag everywhere come summer.
Another style that I have high expectations on is the all new Mira clutch in natural. Natural woven raffia is certainly increasing in popularity for the season ahead. We’ve seen raffia at The Row in many variations over the years, but a clutch style is a new one—I personally feel it’s a must-have.
The speed with which these are moving from “low stock” to “out of stock” is very, very Alaïa.
Platforms for summer?! They’re coming! I’m preparing for the large inbound of requests for them (and to personally purchase my own pair). My top pick is the new Emi Platform by The Row.
A Saint Laurent slingback pump is certainly nothing new, but the strong pointed toe on this style with the discreet logo placement is what has grabbed my attention—and held it. With the rise of masculine suiting (all thanks to Saint Laurent), this is the perfect sexy heel to polish off and finish the look.
Babylone cut-out patent-leather slingback pumps
I’m popping these on my “one to watch” radar. Thong sandals were spotted all over the spring/summer 2025 runways and I’m very curious to see if this pair will pop off for the season ahead. Produced in three colorways, this style very much takes me back to my Australian roots—if only I kept my “thongs” from many years ago!
If the previous version of the Miu Miu strappy sandal is anything to go by, I can guarantee that this new season style will have the same effect. Already sold-out in multiple sizes, if your size is available, it’s time to snap them up now. Fast forward a couple of months and I can see these being worn all over Europe.
This is a big statement to make, but not a lot of collections make me as excited as Alaïa new ready-to-wear drops. Collection after collection, it continues to prove popular, reaching immediate and very strong demand, and consequently, sells out. These new peplum pants are a spring must-have, and Alaïa are certainly betting on the style, with them produced in various colors.
Celtic blue—now that is a spring color if I have ever heard of one. My first sourcing request came through for this style exactly two days ago, and I anticipate more to come over the coming week(s). This is the perfect transitional piece, one that can be styled in a multitude of ways as the weather starts to get warmer. The trending color is truly what seals the deal.
Although not a new style, time and time again the Danielle jean by Khaite sells out. These are dubbed (and proven) to be one of the best jeans around. Consider it our lucky day that they have been restocked, I spot one lucky last size available now ready to be snapped up.
Bode has never been shy in popping up in my sourcing requests. I’ve received a solid, steady amount over the years. I’m excited to see what they do this year as I expect it to be great. Currently, their newest Angel Fish Tank Top caught my eye. It touches on the fisherman aesthetic, and is the perfect layering piece for spring. I expect this style to sell out.
If you don’t already have a Polo Ralph Lauren cap, you’re going to need one. The easiest add to cart moment I have personally had of late. Kendall Jenner recently stepped out in this cap and cemented it as a key style to have. As it’s produced in a multitude of different colorways, your options are endless.
A popular style from Miu Miu at present. I did a deep dive through our requests, and have noticed that Miu Miu striped shirts almost always pop off. They’re so easy to style, and heading into spring, the options are limitless. Wear them with shorts, over swimmers, dressed up, or dressed down—I could go on!
In other very exciting news from my past week, Khaite has now opened up a flagship on the West Coast, making it even easier to get my hands on my favorite pieces, and the store (located in South Coast Plaza) is beautiful—an experience in itself. With all eyes on Khaite this past week in New York, my attention has shifted towards their latest Audrey clutch. I’ve personally struggled to find a red suede clutch that I love, until now. Better yet, it has also been produced in beige and navy.
There are quite a lot of Alaïa pieces in this month’s list, but this collection is just too strong. The newest point-toe wedge mules is another style we recently teased on our stories, and the demand was instant. A white wedge mule is a must for spring/summer, look no further than this style whilst your size is still available.
I’m waiting with much anticipation to see which Celine pieces skyrocket in demand this season ahead. It’s a given that there will be a raffia piece in there, and my early bet is on their newest Victoire Bag in raffia. Looking towards the future, I see this selling out, followed quickly by their denim version, which I have also linked below.
medium Victoire bag in raffia with triomphe embroideries
A fantastic denim bag—wear it day or night, style it up or down. I particularly like the size of this style, and that you can wear it both cross-body and over the shoulder (this is a question I frequently get asked).
As I look towards the year ahead, I am inspired by all the spring/summer 2025 trends already in development. With Fashion Month approaching quickly—the street style is always a great indication of what the industry is excited about—I am focused on the seasonal themes and key buys I think will experience major momentum.
Trends strongly influence what occurs within the sourcing world, and below I am sharing the pieces I predict will be the first of 2025 to sell out. From moto boho, to aquatic and ballerina-inspired designs, there is a lot to look forward to. Let’s get into it, because as it goes—blink and they may be gone.
The demand for The Row is going to continue very strongly throughout 2025 (and beyond). One trend that I’m looking forward to is maxi or exaggerated suiting. We’re going to touch on that with other products below, but embracing unique takes on suiting as a whole, this pencil skirt by The Row is a key standout. I wore it recently on a panel I spoke at in Vegas and can confirm it is 10/10. A key piece for your work wardrobe.
I recently read that moto boho is a trend for 2025, and I couldn’t agree more. We all know boho chic is back, but incorporating contrasting, bolder elements (such as a leather bomber), merges the soft lines of boho, with more harder elements. To kick start the trend, this jersey minidress by Saint Laurent caught my eye. Mix it with a leather jacket or leather biker boots to merge the hard and soft.
Loewe will continue to release noteworthy pieces throughout the year ahead (I know that won’t come as a surprise to anyone). For this season, the belted miniskirt is the one to do exactly that. Accessorizing is key for 2025, and what better way to do it than to buy a two-for-one—a belt that comes with the skirt.
Mocha Mousse has been confirmed by Pantone to be the color for 2025. I’m here for it, and these newest suede thong sandals by Brunello Cucinello coincidentally happen to be the exact Mocha Mousse color way. Kickstart the color trend early by adding these into your wardrobe now. As an added bonus, thong sandals are not going anywhere any time soon!
Another minidress by Saint Laurent that I’m anticipating will be a sold out style. Its newest collection truly ticks every box in my opinion as it has a little bit of everything that we need. Burgundy will be a color that we will continue to see frequently in the season ahead.
We’re going to see a lot more ballerina-inspired styles this year, with inspiration pulled from movement—think yoga, ballet, and pilates; athletic-wear designed for versatility. These ballet flats by Gucci are the perfect introduction to that. Prepare to see a lot more of these lace-up ballerinas this year ahead!
The designer that is solely responsible for the resurgence of all things boho, we have Chemena Kamali to thank for all of it. We are going to see a lot of sold out styles from Chloé this year, starting with this lace-trimmed dress. If you’re wanting to tap into the boho trend but are unsure which piece to buy into for the season, this dress is the perfect starting point! The styling options are endless.
Another Mocha Mousse item has made it into this month’s list, this time by Magda Butrym. Her pieces continue to sell out collection after collection. It’s already showing low stock across almost all sizes, and I’m certainly not surprised.
Baby pink is going to be here, there, and everywhere in 2025—mark my words. We saw it heavily on various spring/summer 2025 runways, and it will really kick in come summer. If you’re looking for the perfect little pink dress for any upcoming occasion, this is the one. I love the lower back detail, it couldn’t get any chicer.
Coming in at number 10 is Khaite’s latest organza blouse. Pink is prevalent throughout Khaite’s latest collection, but with investment dressing continuing to be front of mind this year, I personally love how versatile this style is. As it’s constructed of 100% silk, it can be worn on its own or as a layering piece.
Miu Miu topped all my expectations as a top selling brand in 2024, and I am absolutely confident that it will continue well into 2025 (and beyond!). Every collection is better than the last, how is that possible? It’s the Miu Miu effect. Everyone needs a Miu Miu tank in their wardrobe, and their newest style is an immediate yes, and a guaranteed sold-out item.
I recently added this bag charm into my collection, and now I am adamant that it’s a must-have for all. It comes in a variety of different styles, but the pink has by far been the most popular (we have Kylie Jenner to thank for that!).
Bag straps, of all kinds and colors, will continue to trend this year as you can personalize any bag to reflect own style ethos. This rope keychain iterates on the nautical theme Miu Miu introduced last spring.
It wouldn’t be a Hot List without multiple Miu Miu items. The speed in which their key pieces continue to sell out is nothing short of remarkable. I love the layering options for this overall mini dress, there’s no shortage of ways to style it. I know an investment piece when I see one.
Taking cues from the spring/summer runways where we saw hints of the fisherman aesthetic, I wouldn’t be surprised if this emerged as a top warm-weather trend this year with lots of nautical-inspired elements seeing demand. My top pick to kick off the trend are these bloomer shorts by Australian brand, Hope & May. I personally lived in these throughout my trip to Australia last month—they also come with a matching top!
Currently my most requested evening bag from Saint Laurent, this style is 100% on track to be a bestseller and a guaranteed sold out style. It is available, as I type this, for pre-order and I certainly wouldn’t hesitate in snatching it up.
It has been perhaps too long since a Christian Louboutin style has made it onto my list, but their newest Cassia style has been an immediate hit. Leaning into the ballerina aesthetic that is bound to be highly sought after this year, it’s easy to see why the demand was instant.
A couple of months ago I hosted a dinner with one of my favorite brands Toteme, and these shearling slip ons were available as an exclusive preview. It is safe to say that they were the talk of the event (and my DMs once I posted a photo!). Produced in both ecru and black, they are already showing low stock.
The last month of the year, can you believe it!? This year has flown by! A lot has happened over the past 12 months, especially within my DMs, and I therefore couldn’t resist on dedicating this month’s column to my most requested and bestselling pieces of 2024. This month, we will look back at the pieces that truly took over my DMs throughout the year, and cemented themselves as must-have styles.
With that in mind, naturally in my world, these pieces have sold-out throughout the year. In some cases, I may provide a link to an alternative color or style, so that you can still shop the item in present time.
I also want to take this opportunity to say the biggest thank you to every single reader of my column for the year 2024. I’m so grateful for every single interaction, including all your reposts on Instagram. It means the world to me, and I can’t wait to continue to make this column bigger and better going into the new year!
Here we go, the ‘class of 2024’ requests begins:
Miu Miu has come through as my bestselling brand of 2024, and I would be very interested to hear if this takes you by surprise or not. The most requested styles were its crochet pouch bag, collaboration with New Balance sneakers, and leather loafers. As an absolute miracle, I have discovered a number of sizes available online in the loafers. All I can say is run!
2024 was the year that The Row Margaux dominated my requests as my most requested handbag of the year, specifically in the size 15 (with the size 10 being a close second). Unfortunately, as I type this, the bag continues to be wiped out (my DMs are ready for you), but I have linked the EW style in beige which I know won’t be available for long.
This may come off as a surprise, but 2024 was the year that I finally started receiving sourcing requests for Dries Van Noten. The product that set it off? The sneakers! My first request came through in April 2024, for the exact colorway that I’m linking below. Other top contenders have been their green suede, and beige.
If 2024 taught me anything, it’s that Coach is back in full force, and we’re going to be seeing a lot more of it going into 2025. The Empire bag is the style that took the win as my most requested and bestselling style, specifically in the Merlot color way. I’m calling it our very lucky day, as it has been restocked and ready to be secured today in the navy blue!
Shifting over to Gucci, their Sykle ankle boots in brown suede have come through as both my most requested and bestselling style from their collections this year. The first pair requested and sold went as far back as February, and to this day (as I’m writing this!), I am still receiving requests for them. To ensure you can still shop them, I’m linking the New Fango color way, which has a couple of lucky sizes left.
For Alaïa, our most requested and bestselling handbag style this year was the Le Teckel bag, specifically in the brown suede. Speaking of, brown suede is what has dominated my requests for both Q3 and Q4 of 2024, with no sign of it slowing down. I couldn’t rave highly enough about this style, and how versatile it is.
The demand and requests for the Alaïa (now iconic!) ballet flats remained consistent throughout 2024, in all colors and styles—including the fishnet style. With fishnet continuing to trend well into 2025, if you haven’t yet committed to the style, now is the time to do so. White is my top pick!
2024 was the year that Polo Ralph Lauren took a resurgence in my DMs. Their classic cotton corduroy field jacket was one of my bestselling jackets of the entire year! I’m feeling immense excitement by this rise, and what I expect will continue well into 2025 and beyond. My top pick of the season is their newest Polo ID bag. I personally own this style in black, and would you believe it fits my laptop!? It’s an immediate yes from me.
Another brand that resurged in my DMs in 2024? Chloé! From their ready-to-wear to bags, shoes, and accessories, I have received requests for them all, and it’s not slowing down. Their bestselling shoe from the year is their Eve boot, specifically in the burnt purple. I made the call to link the black, as I can personally vouch these are the best thigh-high boots to exist, and everyone (including myself!) needs them in black.
2024 was the summer of the Mara flats, did you get a pair!? They dominated my DMs for the entire summer period. As the warmer months have now passed, I’m opting to place their newest Uxor D’Orsay style in python on this month’s list instead. Already brewing interest, I’m looking forward to seeing requests for this style amp up in the coming weeks. Hint: they were produced in multiple colors!
Looking at Bottega Veneta, two bags come out on top as my most requested and bestselling for this year. The Andiamo (clutch and large bag), and the Bang Bang Vanity. It was a tough choice to decide between the two, but for the list, I went with the Andiamo clutch in white. If you’re looking for the ideal clutch, in an array of colorways, the Andiamo is the one.
Prada came out strong for 2024, with their canvas jacket and brown suede handbag being its two bestselling products. Although the medium has been the most requested size, the large is a very close runner up and luckily, one style is still available online to snap up—who will be first to grab it!?
Leopard trended across the board in 2024. Saint Laurent dominated with this (there is a certain bag I would have loved to have included, but it is sadly not available online). As an alternative, I’ve selected these Alaïa boots (as Pieter Mulier single-handedly helped revive the trend for fall.) Having recently launched and already showing low in stock, now is the time to secure your size.
leopard-print calf hair over-the-knee boots
It may come as no surprise that Chanel continues to be one of my most requested brands, with their sunglasses being a bestselling category. For 2024, it was their Shield style that came out on top as the most requested. As I type this, the “add to cart” button is calling my name!
Requests for Toteme remained consistent throughout the year, and I expect we will only see this rise heading into 2025. With Pantone confirming Mocha Mousse as the color for 2025, nobody does this color better than Toteme! A personal favorite that I had to include this month is this beautiful evening tank dress. It was produced in macadamia, black, and white!
From Ferragamo, the Eva heel was our most requested shoe style from them this year, in the red color way. I sourced my most recent pair as little as a week ago (a previous season miracle find on sale!). I’ve come across a few sizes left in the burgundy color—on sale as well, which is always an added bonus!
My 2024 list would not be complete without Khaite—it has been a strong, constant contender throughout the duration of the year. Looking ahead, it is their Benji dress that is going to be a best selling style to kick off 2025. I’m making the call now (based on clients already requesting pre-orders on it). It has been produced in both black and pink. Speaking of, this is a timely note that soft pink will trend heavily come SS25. I’m personally counting down the days!
Magda Butrym continued to reign supreme in my requests this year, with its vintage leather bomber jacket in embossed burgundy coming out on top as my best seller. As it is now wiped out and I’m unfortunately unable to link it, so I’m including a link to a very similar new season style, this time in denim! Already showing low stock in all sizes, my sourcing radar anticipates this will sell out.
Finishing the “Class of 2024” list with our bestselling tote bag from Saint Laurent this year, the Y Tote. Demand was equally as strong between both the brown and black, with requests kicking off for it at the end of September. It is easily apparent as to why this tote sparked immediate demand—it’s spacious, lightweight, has an inner zip pocket, and hook closure. The perfect everyday tote.

Texas (Covering Katy News) — Construction is underway on a $30 million Crystal Lagoon resort and entertainment district in Waller County
marking the region's first public water attraction of its kind and bringing new recreational opportunities to residents of Katy and other communities west of Houston
broke ground in December on an undeveloped 40-acre site north of FM 1488
just west of the Waller/Montgomery county line
It is expected to open for swimming by May 2026
in partnership with Miami-based Crystal Lagoon U.S
will feature a 4-acre crystal-clear artificial lagoon with four white-sand beaches
family-friendly floating obstacle course and various water activities including paddle boating
kayaking and sailing with the National Sailing Club
and numerous activities in a PAL (Public Access Lagoon) development is what attracts people from far and wide and what makes it a truly successful destination," Man said
"This is precisely why we have chosen to partner with Crystal Lagoons."
Crystal Lagoons uses technology that filters and maintains clear
The development will be the sixth Houston-area lagoon using Crystal Lagoons technology
including The Sunterra development in Katy which has a lagoon that's more than two acres
Future development phases include plans for an outdoor entertainment amphitheater
resort hotels and vacation condos surrounding the turquoise lagoon
The mixed-use development will include approximately 1,000 parking spaces
making it accessible for day visitors and tourists
This will be the second fully public "Crystal Lagoon" entertainment district developed by the company
"We're looking at putting this potential heating component into both the Angel Lagoon and the Magnolia Lagoon," Man told the Houston Business Journal
referring to new technology that would use data centers to heat the lagoon water while the lagoon water is used to cool the data centers
The company is also building a two-acre lagoon surrounded by white sand beaches at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio
The groundbreaking for the lagoon took place in June 2024
with a projected completion and open date of Q4 2025
I've lived out here for 30yrs.and see how developments like you are encroaching on those of us who have chose what use to be the quiet country life...I'm 67 and it's hard on ppl my age to move
but it looks like that's what I'll be doing
We chose to live in the country for a reason
Stop tearing trees down for places that aren’t necessary
We’re out in Magnolia because we wanna be out in the country

In a race that highlights the diverse needs of Colorado’s Western Slope
each making their case to represent Colorado House District 57.
The two candidates met at the First Presbyterian Church in Glenwood Springs for an invite-only forum hosted by the Glenwood Springs Lions Club
shared his background and his journey into politics
emphasized his connection to the community and passion for local issues
“I’m a family man who got involved in the community right away,” Waller said
“I hit the ground running and began serving through Rotary and other local initiatives.”
Waller highlighted three key areas of focus for his campaign: housing
He discussed his experience on the Garfield County Planning and Zoning Commission and his belief in free-market solutions to address the housing crisis
“Housing is a major issue here,” Waller said
“But we have to be careful not to infringe on private property rights
and I believe we need to pull the government back a bit and give people more freedom as far as growth.”
who was elected to represent District 57 two years ago
shared her experiences over the past two years and her reasons for seeking reelection
“It’s been the hardest job I’ve ever had
but also the most rewarding,” Velasco said
and that’s why I’m running again.”
Velasco highlighted her work in supporting working families
and preparing the community for natural disasters like wildfires
She noted that she has worked closely with local governments to ensure their voices are heard at the state level
“I care deeply about the well-being of our community members,” Velasco said
“I’ve worked hard to bring people together and advocate for the resources we need.”
Waller expressed concern about the rising cost of housing in the valley
particularly for young people like himself
He noted that many entry-level jobs don’t pay enough to afford the current housing prices
I worked at Lowe’s making $14 or $15 an hour,” Waller said
“How do you afford a home on that salary?”
who argued that there are too many agendas in the education system
He called for more local control and emphasized the need to focus on core subjects
“There’s a lot of agendas in the education world,” Waller said
“It’s concerning to me and I would love to see the state kind of empower more locals.”
Velasco highlighted the state’s recent efforts to fully fund schools and increase investment in rural education
“We took out the budget stabilization factor
and our schools are fully funded,” Velasco said
which are so we need to invest much more in education.”
Energy was the final pillar of Waller’s platform
He stressed the importance of supporting Garfield County’s role as an energy-producing region and advocated for reducing regulations to boost the local economy
“Garfield County is an energy county,” Waller said
“We need to get out of the way and show the world what energy looks like
We’ve got a lot of massive amounts of natural resources here that are available that could massively boost our economy
is something that’s important.”
The forum allowed the candidates to delve into the issue of housing
which has become increasingly unaffordable in the Roaring Fork Valley
Both candidates agreed that the housing crisis is a major problem but offered different solutions
not just luxury homes,” Velasco said
“We need affordable housing for teachers
Housing really affects our access to retaining and holding talent.”
One of Velasco’s key accomplishments during her term
with a focus on issues like water quality in mobile home parks and wildfire prevention
“Mobile home parks are the last unsubsidized affordable housing in our communities,” Velasco said
cautioned against overregulation and expressed concern that too much government intervention could stifle growth and drive up costs
“We don’t need the large homes that we’re seeing here in the valley
so it’s incentivizing more of those,” Waller said
“Creating rent control programs as that
you’re going to destroy any property values in the valley
You’re going to destroy any sense of future.”
The conversation also touched on the challenges of balancing growth with preserving the character of local communities
Waller acknowledged the concerns of residents who oppose new developments but argued that creative solutions are needed to address the housing shortage
“The problem that I’m seeing is when we see greater regulations
and it holds people back from wanting to say
let’s find the future,” Waller said
I want to see young people in the valley seeing a future that’s exciting for them.”
Velasco acknowledged that community involvement is crucial for successful development but stressed the importance of addressing tangible concerns such as water availability and emergency access
“We need to involve everyone,” Velasco said
“There are real concerns that people have that are real
to bring them along and bring them so that we can continue to work together.”
Education was another significant point of discussion
advocating for school choice and emphasizing the need for parents to have more control over their children’s education
He argued that such measures would lead to better outcomes for students
“We need to move Colorado towards school choice,” Waller said
“Let’s empower parents and kids to make decisions about their education.”
The candidates also offered contrasting approaches on immigration
Waller expressed support for working immigrants and emphasized the importance of legal immigration processes but voiced concerns about the impact of large-scale immigration on the community
“As I’ve worked with these Hispanic communities
I’ve really fallen in love with the culture that I’ve found there,” Waller said
“But I believe we need to ensure that we support immigrants who are here legally and want to contribute to our society
without relying on government handouts.”
who chairs the Latino Caucus at the state level
highlighted her personal experience as an immigrant and underscored the importance of supporting all community members
“I am the first Mexican-born legislator in the state,” Velasco said
people who are here that are working on their immigration status.”
both candidates made their final appeals to the audience
Velasco asked for continued support in her bid for reelection
underscoring her commitment to the community
“My door is always open,” Velasco said
“I’ll continue to work together with my colleagues and advocate for our district.”
highlighted the importance of empathy and understanding the diverse needs of the district
“Our district is incredibly diverse,” Waller said
and I’m ready to work hard for you in Denver.”
