(WGXA) — Warner Robins Animal Control closed its shelter on Friday following the sudden passing of one of its long-time officers According to a post on the animal control's Facebook page the department announced the passing of Jill Pearce who worked as an animal control officer for nearly 20 years Warner Robins Animal Control remembers Pearce as a passionate and dedicated member of the department and asked for well wishes from the community to her children and family "She devoted her time on and off of work to the animals and the people of the city," wrote Warner Robins Animal Control "She cared deeply about every animal that came into the shelter or that she encountered while answering calls and we are all extremely heartbroken over this tragic loss There are no other words to describe the deepest pain we are in We ask that you please keep her children and family in your thoughts and prayers as well as her WRAC family and WRPD family." a gas station and a motorist driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling north on the same road before the two vehicles collided. The driver of the Harley-Davidson, 40-year-old David Christopher Lewis of Warner Robins, was killed in the crash, according to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones. The driver of the Avalanche was taken to a medical facility for his injuries, where he was listed in stable condition.
