— Two men have been arrested and charged following a residential burglary that took place in broad daylight at an occupied home in Warren Township
Somerset County officials announced Thursday
The information was shared with surrounding law enforcement agencies
A Bernards Township patrol officer located the vehicle and conducted a motor vehicle stop on Mount Airy Road
Officers from the Warren Township Police Department and detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Burglary Unit responded to the scene and arrested both suspects without incident
Suspects held pending detention hearing in Somerset County Jail
Proleon-Carmen and Ponce-Giannotti have been charged with second-degree burglary
second-degree conspiracy to commit burglary
Both men are being held at the Somerset County Jail pending a Superior Court detention hearing
Authorities did not report any injuries or confrontations inside the residence
and it remains unclear if anything was taken from the home during the break-in
The case is being handled by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Burglary Task Force
McDonald praised the efforts of the multiple law enforcement agencies involved
stating that their “timely sharing of critical information” led directly to the quick identification and apprehension of the suspects
Warren Township and Somerset County officials urge anyone with information related to this incident to contact the Burglary Task Force or submit anonymous tips via the STOPit app or Crime Stoppers

WARREN – Thanks to quick teamwork by three law enforcement agencies
two North Jersey men have been charged with a daytime burglary of an occupied township home

Somerset County Prosecutor John McDonald said
Both were taken to the Somerset County Jail to await a detention hearing in Superior Court
Second-degree crimes carry a sentence of five to ten years in state prison
authorities received a 911 call of a burglary in progress at a home on Briarwood Drive East
said someone was gaining entry to the house through a basement window
The caller also gave police a description of a vehicle leaving the scene
Officers responded to the neighborhood and within minutes
and were able to use automated license plate readers to identify a suspect vehicle which matched the description provided by the caller
Police were also able to determine the suspect vehicle had a stolen license and was travelling north near Liberty Corner Road
That information was broadcasted to surrounding law enforcement agencies and shortly after
a Bernards patrol officer located the suspect vehicle and stopped it on Mount Airy Road in Bernards
Detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutors Office Burglary Unit along with Warren officers went to the scene and arrested Proleon-Carmen and Ponce-Giannotti
McDonald commended the Warren Township Police Department
and the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Burglary Task Force for working together and sharing important information in a timely fashion which led to the arrests

She has children who are attending and have graduated from Warren Township
Triplett says safety across the district is a priority
She supports mental health and wellness initiatives for teachers and students
is a retired teacher and counselor who was first elected to the Warren board in November 2016
She spent 17 years as a classroom teacher where she emphasized tutoring
one-on-one instruction and building relationships with parents
She also worked for years as a counselor in IPS schools
Her children are products of Warren Township schools and she continues to volunteer with families in the community
Williams said one of her priorities would be working with administrators to help students achieve better results on the state’s ILEARN exam

We're learning more information about a Youngstown firefighter who has been placed on administrative leave and is facing charges
Youngstown firefighter Adaris Bellamy is now facing two first degree misdemeanor charges of aggravated menacing out of Warren Township for allegedly brandishing a rifle at two separate victims
According to a letter sent to Bellamy from the Youngstown Law Department
Bellamy allegedly went to the Warren Township Fire Station on April 7 and brandished a rifle in a sweeping motion at a firefighter there
The letter further alleges that Bellamy then pulled up to a man and a woman at a food donation box near a bus station and pointed the gun at the man as well
Court records show he was ordered to have no contact with the Warren Township Fire Department following his arraignment
Bellamy has been placed on paid administrative leave as of April 9 pending an investigation
When we talked to Youngstown Fire Chief Barry Finley on Wednesday
he told 21 News he would've never known about the situation if Warren Township police hadn't contacted him. A pre disciplinary hearing for Bellamy is set for Thursday
Finley has 10 days to issue a discipline. While it's not clear what his punishment might be
the city law director tells 21 News all options are on the table
Bellamy is originally from Florida and played football for YSU in 2013

SOUTH BEND — Two people were found dead inside a home in Warren Township at the scene of a residential fire early Wednesday morning, St. Joseph County Police have confirmed
Fire and police first responders were called to the 55000 block of Pear Road around 6 a.m
Joseph County Police shoveled debris from inside the home
working to understand the cause and origin of the fire
“There were flames coming out the roof," St
Fire crews from the Warren Township Fire Department were quick on the scene
The fire took place seven minutes away from Station 19 and two minutes from Station 18
Firefighters saw smoke and flame coming from the house
so they updated the call for additional resources
Warren was assisted by local fire departments from South Bend

and the second victim was found shortly after that

INDIANAPOLIS — A Warren Township mother is facing charges for allegedly boarding a district school bus to fight a student earlier this month
the Marion County Prosecutor's Office charged Latea Hentz with Criminal Confinement (Level 4 Felony)

Hentz boarded the bus with her son and daughter to confront another student
A physical altercation reportedly ensued between the other student and Hentz’s son and daughter
during which Hentz allegedly struck the child multiple times

A Trumbull County judge is expected to issue a ruling within days on whether Carroll Bruton
the suspect in a double-fatal Warren Township arson
Following a hearing Tuesday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court
Judge Ronald Rice took under advisement the issue of Bruton's competency
Judge Rice ordered an independent competency and sanity evaluation for Bruton to be conducted
and aggravated arson in connection with a January 2024 fire on Miller Street in Warren Township
Authorities discovered the bodies of 82-year-old Roscoe Toles and 51-year-old Etiane Whitaker inside the residence
where court records indicate Bruton previously lived
Bruton was initially deemed incompetent to stand trial
Judge Rice's upcoming decision will determine the next steps in the legal proceedings against Bruton
The firefighters union says they're following all procedures to represent Bellamy in this process.
