Marcus Jamel Harris, 31, and Kadwina Glendora Edwards, 32, were arrested after authorities say the search warrant on their residence resulted in the seizure of trafficking levels of heroin/fentanyl, cocaine, and other drugs and/or precursors for manufacturing drugs, paraphernalia, and approximately $22,000 in US currency. According to authorities, the warrant was executed at a Patton Circle apartment in Winterville. A third person, James Thomas Elks, was also taken into custody at the scene. Elks had been wanted in Beaufort County for leaving court proceedings, which resulted in a bench warrant being issued. Elks was transferred into the custody of Beaufort County deputies, per officials. Charges against Marcus Jamel Harris are as follows. He remains in custody under a $1,810,000 secured bond.
