A truck driver has died after two trucks collided on the N12 eastbound between Edenvale Road on ramp and Kraft Road off ramp in Edenvale in Ekurhuleni
Emergency services personnel say one truck had been stationery before it was hit from behind by another truck
The stationery truck driver escaped with no injuries
Ekurhuleni Emergency Services spokesperson William Ntladi has urged motorists to use alternative routes
” Two left lanes of the freeway are temporarily closed for operational purposes for traffic flow
Fire and rescue services from Bedfordview Fire Station are on scene
They are busy with the cut out rescue using specialised equipment to access the deceased driver
It is not known how long the operation will take.”
