On Monday, Amakhosi's Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and his fiancé Thabisa Ntleki celebrated their nine-year anniversary, with the latter taking a trip down memory lane with her Instagram posts.
Ngcobo, who sorted out his lobola for Thabisa last year, has been with the University of Johannesburg alumni since their schooling days and it's clear that the baller has been infatuated with her since.
The lovely couple experienced two milestones last year, their first step in becoming a married couple with the lobola and they welcomed their first child, a baby boy.
Their near decade-long relationship was commemorated beautifully on IG, as Thabisa posted a throwback of the two of them in sitting next to each other during a class in high school.
"Today marks 9 years of us being together. You've always wanted yourself next to me," shared Thabiso on her IG story, adding:
"[I] love you always chomi. From being my cute high school boyfriend to being my fiancé and an awesome dad to our son."

Kaizer-Chiefs
Despite the looming danger of possibly finishing outside the top eight for the second consecutive season
Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Nkosingiphile Ngcobo insists that the team is "not panicking".Speaking to journalists during a media open day at the Chiefs Village on Thursday
Ngcobo admitted that the players are aware of their precarious position on the Betway Premiership log but remain focused on turning their fortunes around
READ: Jali's Future: Career Changing Decision
"About the table and the teams below us having games in hand and winning their games
we had a discussion about that and we are aware of that as a team. What we need is just to focus more on our games and give 200% to win more games and not panic because of that so we are just focused on every game we play now
(that it) is a cup final and we give it our best," said Ngcobo.
particularly their inability to maintain the standards set at the start of the season
"When you look at how we started the league. I think very well
scoring goals but I'm not sure what then happened
we are worried but we are not panicking. Not that we are playing bad
but we are not scoring the way we did when we started the league
That is what is worrying us. I think maybe we dropped our standards a little bit which is unacceptable
so we are focusing on that and trying," Ngcobo observed.
Ngcobo further expressed the team's frustrations with their performances
particularly their inconsistency and inability to control games in key moments
READ: Lorch, Mailula Wydad's Club World Cup Ambition
"At the moment everyone is really frustrated
but then it is just a matter of us focusing and putting in more effort. We are not playing bad but need to put more effort in getting goals and making sure that we go up the log and also go to the final in the cup
I think from the beginning we have lacked that
to control the game even when it is 0-0 or 1-1 and (even when) we are playing better than the opponent we always struggle to maintain the tempo. I think we just get frustrated and start rushing and we lose our games like that
It's the inconsistency that disturbs us most of the time," Ngcobo concluded
Chiefs will host TS Galaxy on Saturday at Peter Mokaba Stadium in a must-win encounter in the evening
The team will be looking to secure three crucial points as they fight to climb the log and finish the season on a stronger note

The Chris Hani District Municipality has spent more than R66-million on four water projects
And yet the taps are dry in many villages in Ngcobo
people share water with livestock at rivers
Municipal spokesperson Bulelwa Ganyaza said seven water schemes had been built in the Ngcobo ward.advertisementDon't want to see this? Remove ads
The R28.3-million phase 1 of the Lokshin project started in December 2015
and was supposed to be completed a year later
It was meant to provide water to four areas in Lower Qebe and Lokshin village
have only one tap and the supply is intermittent
Villagers say the taps were dry for five months
Yet Lokshin villagers say in some sections taps have been dry for three years
while villagers in Hala say their taps have been dry since the day they were installed
Ganyaza said the R1.5-million Sundwana water reticulation project started in October 2020 and was completed in April 2022
However contractors and consultants involved told GroundUp the project was only completed this year and still had issues that needed to be rectified
A stream where Quthubeni residents get water to drink and do their washing
Even as residents complain about the lack of water, ward 13 Councillor Sivuyile Mfeki (ANC) and the ward committee chairperson signed forms in July stating that taps had been “handed over” with “water coming out of the taps to our reasonable satisfaction”. Mfeki told GroundUp that the taps were tested and working fine when he signed.advertisementDon't want to see this? Remove ads
Sundwana village sub-headman Gcinisizwe Mbeshu said the forms were signed to release funds to the contractors to finish the project
Mbeshu said: “In some areas like mine the Upper Sitholeni taps were not installed
but we are told that the project is finished.” The standpipes were installed but without taps
He said the ward committee chairperson who signed the form was “never part of the project steering committee”
“Chris Hani (Municipality) is telling us that testing was done and taps have water but not a single community member was called to witness that,” he said
Steering committee chairperson Tsolwana Maqonga said he had refused to sign the forms as some villages had no taps
a delegation of National Council of Provinces delegates led by Chief Mwelo Nonkonyana visited the province and “expressed their displeasure with the rising number of delayed infrastructure development projects”
Nonkanyana told GroundUp that they had discovered that it was common for consent forms to be signed before a project iwas finished
Ganyaza said that the Lokshin one and two and Sundwana projects were to be supplied by the Sitholeni water treatment works, but it was not operational as it had no electricity. She said the Sitholeni community was demanding electrification of their households first.advertisementDon't want to see this? Remove ads
Meanwhile Lokshin one and two were connected to a spring, but it took a long time to fill the reservoir. A borehole had been sunk for the Sundwana villages and a contractor was currently constructing a pump house.advertisementDon't want to see this? Remove ads
Another completed water project with dry taps is the R5.7-million Qutubeni scheme in the village where Walter Sisulu was born
The project started in September 2011 and was completed in June 2012
It is meant to supply spring water to villages including Mayirheni
The water supply is highly unreliable as it is the furthest village from the springs and the last to receive water
only two have water and then only after it rains
said the municipality had been promising for nearly a year that it would send a contractor to fix the water supply
She said they had a rotational system with each village getting water for three days after every six days
The water was from a spring that supplied a reservoir that supplied three taps installed in Latshane’s village in 1994
Ganyaza said the area was badly affected by illegal connections

Sekhukhune United coach Lehlohonolo Seema has provided his verdict on newly-signed defender Njabulo Ngcobo
who has joined after having a hard time getting into the starting XI at Kaizer Chiefs. Babina Noko got their domestic season on the right footing with a hard-fought 1-0 win over newly-promoted Magesi
The match was also Seema's first competitive game in charge after rejoining the club shortly before the start of the campaign

The Lesotho coach got his first look at some of the club's new signings in a competitive fixture
and among them was former Amakhosi man and 2021 PSL Defender of the Season Ngcobo
the head coach said he was left impressed by the effort put in by 'Roadblock'
"I think everybody knows that he was a Defender of the Season at some stage
we have got a quality defender," Seema told journalists at the press conference

"But [Gift] Motupa came through as coach Clinton Larsen wanted him there, tried him with his experience, and it's working for them."
"So, I'm happy to have him [Ngcobo]. He's working hard. That's one good thing when you have a good player who puts in good effort during training and the games. So, that is a plus for the team to have him," he added.
Ngcobo was an unused substitute during the side's 2-1 win over Angolan outfit Lunda Sul in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary round. Despite the result, which meant a 2-2 aggregate score, Babina Noko were kicked out of the competition on the away goal rule.

Siyagobhoza
Kaizer Chiefs are believed to have had a change in heart regarding midfielder Nkosingiphile Ngcobo.Having never really kicked on from his breakout season in 2021, the club's hierarchy are understood to have grown despondent over the player's influence on the team and whether or not he was still needed.
In the previous season, the 24-year-old made just 13 appearances in all competitions, eight of them coming as a starter, while he missed 10 consecutive games to- wards the end of the campaign.
As a result, there have been talks of a possible exit from the club, albeit on loan given that he still has two years to run on his contract with the club.
But sources have informed Soccer Laduma that Chiefs have had a change of heart regarding the midfielder, this after learning that their direct rivals are ready to pounce on him should the Soweto giants deem him surplus to requirements.
Soccer Laduma has learnt that some of Gauteng's bigger clubs were watching Ngcobo's situation with keen interest. With this change in mind, indications are that Ngcobo, who is a product of the team's development system, will have a chance to impress the incoming coach ahead of the new campaign.
The Siya sources added that Amakhosi are seeking to strengthen their goalkeeping department and are considering Ngcobo as a potential addition to their squad
not necessarily as a first choice stopper."There were other teams that had also shown interest before but the one that has inquired about him in recent times after what is happening at the club is Kaizer Chiefs
They have shown serious interest and have inquired
But with the current situation at Royal AM there is nothing much we can say
I think they will wait on what is going to happen first as they monitor the situation
But they are interested in him," the Siya source stated
Orlando Pirates were linked with Ngcobo before the current season, as reported by Soccer Laduma last year.
stated that Amakhosi are also considering other goalkeeping options
including Chippa United's Stanley Nwabali and former Sekhukhune United player Toaster Nsabata who is currently at Zesco United in his home country

"They will see which one they can get at the end of the day as they are also believed to be looking at loaning out one or two of their current goalkeepers to create space
But that will only happen when they get in one of these goalkeepers at the start of next season," the second insider stated.
Chiefs have four goalkeepers on their roster: Bruce Bvuma
The 31-year-old Ngcobo has played many league games for Royal AM this season
The team is currently inactive due to their financial issues and are awaiting a ruling as to whether they can return to the pitch
Soccer Laduma reached out to Chiefs for comment on the situation but received no response at the time of publishing
Sunday World has learnt that there were celebrations after UKhozi FM business manager Sbongi Ngcobo was alleged to have resigned
The radio station’s inside sources told Sunday World that Ngcobo resigned following a fallout with one of the station’s presenters
A source said Ngcobo threatened to remove Khathide “Tshatha” Ngobe from a maskandi show
and it is one of the prime shows on UKhozi FM
“The Sigiya Ngengoma show was presented by BK Mchunu and Bingelela Mpanza
management requested Tshatha to temporarily fill BK’s position
And Tshatha has been co-hosting the show with Bingelela since then,” said the source
“The problem started when Sbongi [Ngcobo] threatened to remove Tshatha from BK’s show
But Tshatha made it clear he would not move from the Sigiya Ngengoma show
Tshatha wrote an email to SABC headquarters detailing damaging and sensitive information about Ngcobo
This information forced Ngcobo to resign with immediate effect,” said the source
Another inside source said it was long overdue
“Khuzani Mpungose’s Facebook live compromised a lot of people
Mpungose mentioned that Ngcobo hates Tshatha and that she wants to remove him from Sgiya Ngengoma show
“This was true because Ngcobo was planning to remove Tshatha and bring new talent to the Sgiya Ngengoma show
“Khuzani would not have known this information unless someone inside the station shared it with him
He [Khuzani] made an inference that he received this information from Tshatha,” said the source
“Tshatha’s job was no longer safe after Khuzani’s live (sic)
So he acted first and exposed Ngcobo’s shenanigans to SABC management.”
social media was buzzing as listeners of UKhozi FM celebrated Ngcobo’s alleged resignation
While Sphelele Njomane said: “She was supposed to resign in January.”
I cannot confirm or deny anything right now
we’re still trying to establish facts,” said Mmoni
Ngcobo joined SABC in 2011 as Tru FM’s marketing manager
she joined UKhozi FM as an acting station manager until March 2021
In April 2021 she was appointed as the station’s business manager

Junior Khanye is expecting an improved season from Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Nkosingiphile Ngcobo under new coach Nasreddine Nabi and his technical team.Ngcobo will be entering his eighth season as Chiefs' first team player
having been promoted from the club's juniors in 2017
and Khanye feels that the 24-year-old should rise as one of the top performers in the team

Ngcobo has made 91 appearances across all competitions since he started playing in the 2018/19 season
He has scored seven goals and assisted three times
"I watched Nkosingiphile Ngcobo during the Toyota Cup match
and to me he looked like he is still the same player from the previous seasons in terms of his performance
it didn't look like much has changed about him
The boy needs to show up and perform and I am hoping he will be able to do that this season under the new coach," said Khanye

"There are a few other players who need to raise their game and show what they are capable of
(Pule) Mmodi and (Christian) Saile are some of those players
The club has done a very good job by appointing the new coach and his technical team
but it will take them time to get the team to play the way they want and get the desired results
the game against Yanga was just a friendly
but the way you lose as a team does leave much to be desired
especially for a team where the expectations are very high," Khanye added

fearing the attackers would try to get to him again
But in doing so they’d cut her off from the only other person on site – and the person who could help her most: the security guard
worked at the Ngcobo Community Health Centre in Masonwabe township
about 80km from Mthatha in the rural Eastern Cape
Her nursing colleague hid in a side-room and somehow the security guard
managed to find his way into the building and battle the aggressive patient down
she’s never experienced something like what happened to her colleague that night at her workplace
She’s become used to dealing with unequipped and understaffed health facilities – and how to find ways around it to still serve her patients
But fearing for their lives has never been part of her worries
While officials point fingers at each other for the lack of piped water in Engcobo
claiming that it’s a challenge to supply high-lying areas
In June, new Eastern Cape health MEC Ntandokazi Capa – the chairperson of the ANC Women’s League in the province – was sworn in, replacing Nomakhosazana Meth, who is now a member of Parliament in the National Assembly
Capa, who has since her appointment visited hospitals like Maclear Hospital in the Elundini local municipality area, told the Daily Dispatch on Instagram that she’s “ready to face [the Eastern Cape’s health] challenges”
infrastructure and [the difficulties] that come with being a rural province
“I want people [in the province] who visit government health facilities to get good service.”
Not feeling safe is only part of what led to the Ngcobo 24-hour community health centre
which has to serve about 3,000 people per month
having had to cut its operating hours in half
About eight out of 10 people in this town live in poverty
Community health centres like the one in Ngcobo is an important cog in the country’s primary healthcare machine in that they provide a bunch of 24-hour routine and emergency services, reducing the patient load on district hospitals
which are geared towards handling child health issues
more complex health matters and general surgeries
But to function well such a health centre needs proper infrastructure
which the Ngcobo centre hasn’t had for the past 10 years
The facility’s two buildings have no piped water
water is supplied from municipality-serviced water tanks outside
This means staff have to go collect it in plastic containers
During Capa’s visit to Maclear Hospital in June, she told the SABC that 24-hour clinics in the Eastern Cape are crucial for healthcare and need attention, but that people can’t expect “a hospital every 20km” because there are serious budget constraints.
Like the Ngcobo Community Health Centre, Maclear Hospital faces security problems, with reports of patients being raped during admission. advertisementDon't want to see this? Remove ads
At facilities across the province, access to tap water and power is problematic.
“We call on the MEC for health to develop a plan with clear timeframes that includes components that address the items listed urgently to remedy the crisis in health in the Eastern Cape,” it wrote
A Public Protector report in 2021 found that
at four district or provincial hospitals in the Eastern Cape
services like water and electricity were lacking
facilities were understaffed and equipment was either so old or nonexistent that basic tasks like washing laundry couldn’t be done on the premises
This lack of maintenance was laid at the feet of the provincial public works department, which should – but has failed – to inspect public facilities every five years
and perform the necessary maintenance so that these places can deliver proper services
it’s impossible to understand our challenges.”
According to South African law
municipalities – either at town or district level – are responsible for providing services like collecting rubbish and supplying electricity and water to people living in that area
In the Chris Hani district, under which Ngcobo falls, only 20% of households have running water inside their homes
In the Engcobo subdistrict the situation is even worse: only about 7% of households can open a tap inside their home for water
Ngcobo mayor Siyabulela Zangqa says the council is “not a water service provider like the district municipality [is]” and therefore he is not notified of water delivery issues
told Bhekisisa that water infrastructure “is the responsibility of [the] Public Works [department]” – which
Moreover, Bulelwa Ganyaza, spokesperson for the district municipality, claims that because funds for building or upgrading systems for things like water supply (and which come from the Municipal Infrastructure Grant handed out by the cooperative governance department) have dropped
“some projects [in the Engcobo area] have been delayed since 2012
affecting the provision of water and sanitation services to the town and informal settlements”
In the 2023 financial year about half of the roughly R328-million available for water and sanitation projects in the Chris Hani district was set aside specifically for water supply infrastructure
The attack in 2022 was the final straw for staff at the community health centre who have been complaining about poor water supply and security for years
it’s the people of this community who lose out
The situation at the clinic mirrors the collapse of other local government structures in the area. For example, crime is rampant. ISS Crime Hub statistics show that crimes in categories that include murder
deny that they don’t have a handle on crime
Spokesperson for the South African Police Service in the Eastern Cape, Priscilla Naidu, told Bhekisisa that “police conduct frequent operations in the area” and cites, as an example of their success, that in one such a clampdown in March “three suspects [in a community of about 155,000 people] were arrested (for possession of an unlicensed firearm
drug dealing and selling liquor without a licence)”
They also started a 15-member community patrol group in March
But Zangqa says he’s seen how crime in the area has affected services
“Crime [in the area close to the health centre] got to the point where it started affecting the clinic.” The nearby tavern
“The people who drink there at night cause chaos.”
And the lack of proper municipal services makes it worse
Staff at the Ngcobo Community Health Centre centre claim that they have not had continuous running water for about 10 years and must rely on municipal water tanks
The incident in which the night-shift nurse was attacked in 2022 was the final straw for the staff at the centre
The nurses reported the attack to their union
wrote to the Eastern Cape health department
the union put forward its concerns about safety issues and the conditions at the health centre under which staff have to work
In response to Bhekisisa’s enquiry about what the implications of the issues at the health centre are
says that when healthcare workers are too traumatised or afraid to work
it “impacts negatively on service delivery and communities end up suffering”
it’s very scary to go out and fetch water from the tank since the safety in this area is so poor
[The security guards] don’t have guns and there are only two of them
so I’m not sure how they will protect us if there are multiple attackers.”
The department and unions are still in talks
and “we are hopeful that a lasting solution will be found and the labour matter resolved”
the health centre remains closed after 7pm
