The combined membership of four Kenton-on-Sea and Boesmansriviermond civic organisations has joined forces to stave off what they warn will be an irreversible environmental disaster Boesmansrivier Ratepayers and Residents Association (BRRAG) Kenton and Bushmans Chamber of Business and Tourism and Bushmans Kariega Estuary Care this week launched a petition to halt plans to fix in place a massive sand dune at the end of Westbourne Road The groundswell of community protest comes after a report on the plan was approved by councillors at a full council meeting on Wednesday December 11 The Bushmans River estuary is the lifeblood and livelihood of the tourist gem and the plan would eventually result in it the river mouth closing the noise and disruption involved in the mechanical removal of sand would change the ethos of the seaside village; and after the three-year period that an interest group has guaranteed to pay for it Ndlambe’s ratepayers would be left footing the bill The report from the municipal manager (MM) to the council is headed ‘Approval of works under the Ndlambe coastal and dune maintenance management plan (MMP)’ brushwood and new vegetation “to prevent the eastwards migration in the future” Ongoing annual management of sand that is expected to accumulate on the western toe of the dune is to be managed “by means of mechanical removal to Middle Beach.” MM Rolly Dumezweni outlined the background Kenton and Bushmans Chamber of Business and Tourism and Bushmans Kariega Estuary Care together represent around 2 500 community members the ‘Save the Bushmans Estuary Petition’ explains that for thousands of years Dry Bones Valley was a conduit that allowed a portion of the sand that came into the estuary to bypass behind the Shelly Bay headland and continue eastwards branches were placed on the beach at the mouth of Dry Bones Valley…” This had been done over 30 years until the 1970s “By the 1970s all natural movement of sand was permanently blocked by the vegetation allowed to grow… This process finally reversed when the sand started natural rolling back on itself as a sandy dune This process is still continuing as nature reverts to its natural state.” The petition says that no consideration has been given in the approved plan to the effect the excess sand will have on an estuary choked by the net gain of sand “It exposes the estuary to the ever increasing risk of becoming blocked and closing especially if Ndlambe falls short in its service delivery.” The four combined civic organisations instead propose the adoption of a 2015 report which instead proposes the removal of vegetation to restore the natural movement of sand the chairman of the Kenton Sand Dune & Nature Association NPC “There are as many members as members want to be It’s a voluntary organisation and our regular members are obviously from Land’s End Road There are 20 houses in Dry Bones Valley and at the end of Westbourne and when we first started this three years ago ‘Let’s get this project finished because then you will be so proud of it and then we will have so many members.” Councillors last week approved the project and the environmental authorisation/ coastal and dune management plan approved by DEDEAT They also approved Ndlambe Municipality entering into a memorandum of agreement with KSDNA to implement and fund the project on its behalf Would you consider collaborating with your opposers on a plan that everyone is happy with “We have been collaborating with these people for five years,” Rose said “But unfortunately they are not environmental people or sand dune people or coastal engineers so it’s very difficult ‘Can you come up with another plan?’ The answer is ‘We come up with the best plan’,” Rose said “Experts come up with one plan which is the best plan We’ve made a few adaptations to meet their requirements but the fundamentals can’t be changed because that’s what is the best solution.” Responding to the concern about the noise and disruption of ethos that moving the sand would cause Rose said sand would be removed from the front of the dune They are 9-ton carrying vehicles and they don’t cause a lot of noise.” While the opposing group said the process would run over three or four months a year Rose said the moving of sand would only take place during two weeks every year and there would be three loads per hour Rose said the amount of sand to be removed depended on the weather Tides are getting higher every year and there’s more sand coming in That’s the reality and we have to manage it.” “This is a simple project that has been complicated by emotion and all the rest of it The plan approved by the municipality is the best plan It will resolve the problems in the best possible way.” The KSDNA was scheduled to meet on Wednesday December 18 at 5pm; however Rose said this was a private meeting among Land’s End residents The combined civic organisations will hold an information meeting charity fundraising event at Cob Bay has become a firm favourite with Christmas holiday visitors and locals alike The regatta celebrates the era of British Seagull outboard motors On the Kariega River on Monday December 30 clowns and just themselves set off in dodgy boats with names like Pist n Broke HMS Calamity as usual flaunted the Union Jack while catastrophic-looking bright pink smoke poured from halfway up its “mast” and emitted alarming “we’re sinking” noises In the complete absence of any signs of actual disaster The rules were: each boat must have a minimum of two people A popular new addition to the fleet was the pirate ship Black Pearl the crew in colourful buccaneer fashion and “aahhrghhh… uably” the most eye-catching They weren’t the only ones: there were plenty of others who couldn’t get their engines to start or struggled to get going and set off a lot later And there were other kinds of Seagull mechanical incidents One crew had the prop break off the driveshaft of their motor; another lost the whole outboard motor in the river “I dived after it and I could hear it down there but the water’s about three metres deep and very murky so I gave up,” the crewman lamented That was the kind of problem that mechanic-on-standby Danny Burnett couldn’t solve It didn’t matter because there was a big gazebo where you could escape the sun and your disappointment – a bar one side and coffee and food stations on the other – with the Ford family and friends belting out the Beatles their JetRIB donated last year by Rotary Kenton-on-Sea and so was the Ndlambe Municipality River Patrol crew of Willem Nel and Richard Mavikela More than one craft had to be towed back to the start-finish Just the start of the Seagull Regatta is an event in itself piper Murray Roodt walked out from among the thorn trees in a tartan kilt and a pair of brown velskoens parabolaed across the sky before flying back to their loft Two yellow Tiger Moth biplanes piloted by Cliff Reynolds and Rich Inskip appeared from the direction of Horns Up on the opposite bank and did a flpast upriver over the boats A helicopter added to the air action and the climax of the show was a skydiving team who drew circles in the sky (or maybe it was an S) with coloured smoke before drifting westwards to land on a nearby field Speaking to Talk of the Town on the river bank while supporters waited for the crews to return from upriver Seagull Regatta organiser Dale Cunningham was positive and enthusiastic It’s such a treat seeing all the iconic old Seagull engines that a lot of people of our vintage have such fond memories of Bringing them back to life on a beautiful day like this with a lot of friends is just really special and it’s great for the Kenton community.” With 247 boats with Seagull outboard motors in the water at one time Cunningham said he believed the 2024 Kenton Seagull Regatta had set a new world record The non-profit event aims to raise funds for local schools charities and community needs in the Kenton-on-Sea area Various items including a beautifully restored brown wooden boat were auctioned after the event Jack Currie was the thrilled winner of the big giveaway: a tourism look back on successes of December holidays you might have thought the relaxed gathering sprawled across the lawn at The Goatshed on Thursday January 30 were holidaymakers They were in fact the hard-working businesspeople officials and tourism professionals who made the holidays for the thousands of locals and visitors to Kenton-on-Sea and Bushmans River Mouth during the festive season At the end of a swelteringly hot afternoon ‘Sunshine Coast’ proved to be more than just a brand as chairperson of the Kenton Boesmans Chamber of Business & Tourism Justin Wilmot shared the results of a season survey among members Most retails and hospitality businesses had experienced a better season than before – many saying it was their best ever The municipality’s community protection services directorate was acknowledged with a certificate for a (mostly) thumbs up from respondents for neat and clean villages clean beaches and efficient refuse collection 75% of the business respondents said that they had a season which was better or the best ever Accommodation had been fully booked for both the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons “Everything is always better without load shedding and we had beautiful weather and warm water,” Wilmot said The local Tourism office received praise for advertising events well Other positive aspects mentioned by survey respondents included the area’s rivers and the availability of game viewing by boat; a “great vibe” The biggest challenges for residents and visitors alike were water and parking The 67 respondents had bought more than 750 000 lit of water and KOSRA are actively engaging with Ndlambe [regarding the water supply] and they have given us certain deadlines,” Wilmot said “We have a dysfunctional plant set in the middle of SANPARKS extracting water from the river (including sand etc) and pumping the brine back into the estuary Amatola Water’s contract had been terminated last year and are now forced to run the plant until the government transfers the plant to Ndlambe Ndlambe need to find someone willing to take on the plant as is and the costs of upgrading the plant are huge Wilmot said the community needed to be able to produce enough water to be able to make it through the season Because reverse osmosis-produced water was very expensive to produce as it will run at 40% capacity all year around was for residents and businesses to upgrade their storage find a local source (boreholes) that could supplement the current supply and work with Ndlambe to optimise what they have need to become less reliant on the municipal supply “This has been done very successfully by most businesses.”  Other season concerns prioritised by the survey respondents were parking the R72 Intersection and (Eskom direct-supplied] electricity and policing of boats were some of the other concerns The Ohio State University Extension Master Gardener Volunteers will have their annual plant sale on Saturday It will take place rain or shine from 10 a.m Plan to arrive early as this sale is popular and supplies have run out in years past You are encouraged to bring friends and family The Friendship Gardens are located behind the deal Merryhill and the properties north-west of it along the R343 would be much safer if drivers had exactly the same attitude towards the section of the R72 linking the pockets that make up their community That’s the conviction that’s driving businesswoman and Kenton resident Shona Bell along with dozens of community activists and volunteers to push for a basket of measures to slow traffic on that 10- kilometre stretch Fifteen-year-old Jade Prinsloo was walking across the Kariega bridge on New Year’s Day when she was hit by a car She and her friends had been on their way to go swimming “We know Jade wasn’t the first or the last to die on that road,” Bell said “But so many people in the community knew her they aim to have the speed limit reduced in that section; introduce traffic-calming furniture; and install two cameras The R72 is managed by the South African National Roads Agency (SANRAL) Earlier bids to slow traffic on the section that passes Kenton were unsuccessful Rumble strips would affect houses next to the river; a traffic circle wasn’t an option because of the road’s status; a traffic averaging camera wasn’t feasible because there are so many turnoffs in the 10km stretch;   until the construction of the Engen garage and adjacent shopping centre With that came a reconfiguration of that section of the R72: the road was widened and planning permission was obtained for new road furniture to facilitate vehicles leaving and re-entering the R72 “We knew Sanral is redoing the East London road and that they will probably be working on the section between Port Alfred and Alexandria in 2025 how do we become a voice in this project?” Bell said the provincial traffic department came to Kenton to see the situation for themselves “We told them we wanted the speed limit reduced to 60km/h,” Bell said “They told us that SANRAL wouldn’t consider it if the road was not in our town.”  there needs to be a realisation that roads are not only for cars They are for people getting from one place to another – on foot We need to rethink the way cars are used in built-up areas.”  there needed to be a shift in thinking about who was part of Kenton “Now that there are the Engen and a shopping centre on the R72 many more people come across the road from Ekuphumleni to shop,” Bell said and the schools along the R343 – those are all part of Kenton People walk to and from Klipfontein and Marselle to get to work in Bushmans River and Kenton Ndlambe Municipality and provincial traffic authorities behind them including rumble strips between Boknes and Klipfontein;  At least two speed-trapping cameras – “We believe cameras are the only was to slow people down,” said Bell No fewer than 36 volunteers went out in pairs on an ordinary termtime weekday (it was a Tuesday with no public holiday before or after) to count foot traffic at three points between 6.30am and 5.30pm: the Kenton junction; the Kariega bridge; and the Klipfontein turnoff They filled in prepared sheets by making a mark in a particular time slot each time a person walked along or across the road with so many people moving on the R72 between the different areas of this section why are you not considering them part of our village?”  together with 67 letters from Klipfontein residents video footage of appalling driving on that section and their specific proposals to make the road safer and present it to SANRAL for them to include it in their plan for the 2025 road upgrades “This is for the next generation,” said Bell “If you would like to see the R72 made safer for pedestrians and cyclists please send a letter of motivation in support of this project,” Bell pleads You can email your motivating letter to shona@skyblueguesthouse.com   Read about some of the with timelessness.  From his early days assisting on catalogue shoots to photographing some of Portugal’s most renowned public figures, his work reflects decades of history and expertise. “I first visited at 19 years old, working as an assistant on these catalogues that existed before the internet”, Kenton Thatcher told The Portugal News “We’d come here for the guaranteed sun and good lighting.” the photographer was booked for what he thought would be a brief commission with a model agency in the capital I thought I was just passing through Lisbon I did a lot of work that I usually wouldn’t do and advertising campaigns.” a civil servant with a deep passion for the creative arts “I would even say far more talented and creative than I ever have become” and his passion was an escape from what he really didn’t want to do so his job was to provide and put food on the table for his family the photographer struggled with severe dyslexia at a time when learning disabilities were not recognised “They could never understand why I had the lowest grades in chemistry or biology but excelled at the highest level in arts and sports.” he borrowed his father’s camera and took it to school capturing portraits of his class and everyday life “I went home and processed the roll of film until probably 2am or 3am coming up with these sets of large black and white prints of the kids from my school.” I got a little bit of respect and recognition I started photographing anything and everything” he recalled he won a sub-category of the Junior Wildlife Photographer of the Year with the inauguration held at the British Museum Thatcher apprenticed under a well-known photographer specialising in stock library images working for three years at Primrose Hill in London and I received the best training you could have” and seeing how images were curated for a broader audience.” viewing photography not just as a career but as a lifelong passion probably more now than I did 10 or 20 years ago because you become a little prouder of your history and what you’ve done but you also realise that time is a little more limited and that’s the beauty of it He considers that it’s about more than just capturing an image – it’s about connection but the real work in portraiture is the communication and psychology behind it” so you touch a little bit of everyone’s life for a short time he has developed a signature approach to portraiture that prioritises authenticity over perfection opting for black and white photography to avoid placing subjects in a specific era you can date the While his career has included advertising and commercial work the inspiration for this project dates back 25 years to a moment in New York when he saw an exhibition by American photographer Richard Avedon “I was astonished by his portraits of Marilyn Monroe why not bring something like this to Portugal I still haven’t seen anything quite like it here.” To ensure the project has a lasting impact graduate who has stage 4 colon cancer “We get them (the teammates) huddled up in the dugout and we send a prayer to him,” said 2027 outfielder Nathan Barth is the son of junior varsity coach Mark Franzen It’s the second time Brad has been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer since November 2020 “Now that he is going through it again — we just felt like as a program we had to come behind that family and do everything we could to support them,” Simon Kenton varsity baseball coach Brady Smiley said Donations will be accepted at the concession stand for The Franzen Colon Cancer Research Fund Simon Kenton also has shirts adorned with “Family” and the cancer awareness ribbon across the front with the Franzen name Hear more about Franzen's fight and how the team is supporting him: “There are times that life reminds you that we are playing a game and there are things bigger than baseball,” Smiley said “So when you get an opportunity for two teams who usually are Northern Kentucky rivals When you get a chance to come together and show each other that love and support that baseball allows you to have I think you got to take advantage of that moment to show these kids that there are things bigger than baseball.” is the Simon Kenton boys and girls swimming coach Carol is grateful for how the baseball program and school community has reached out to show love and support for her family “It’s been incredible; I kind of start to tear up when I talk about it,” Carol said the first time Brad was diagnosed the outpouring was just — I can’t even describe it When everybody heard that Brad had a re-occurrence They did so much the first time — it’s hard to expect them to do the same thing the second time the outpouring of love and support for us and for Brad has just been incredible especially with this game.” Brad grew up in Independence and graduated from the University of Louisville after high school along with the couple’s son and daughter live in Bloomington “He is still so amazed at how many people still rally around him,” Carol Franzen said “Every time he comes home people are coming up to him and saying We love you.’ It just shows kind of the effect it’s had on people here.” Brad underwent 11 rounds of chemotherapy and two surgeries after initially being diagnosed at the age of 25 in November 2020 it was discovered he has stage 4 colon cancer again The family said since Brad's cancer was initially in stage 4 “He now has a tumor in his pelvis,” Carol said And hopefully to shrink the tumor so they don’t do another surgery.” In addition to Saturday’s game, the Franzen Colon Cancer Research Fund has a number of fundraisers this year including a motorcycle charity ride at High Stakes Harley-Davidson in Florence June 28 along with a golf outing at Kenton County Golf Course June 29 The family also asks for prayers for Brad’s recovery Coach Smiley and the Pioneers are certainly helping with that aspect “People are gathering baskets for the golf outing that we’re having,” Carol said “Just this game and the fact that people are willing to go out What (Smiley has) done to raise awareness to other communities Smiley said the season is a teaching moment for the players in the Simon Kenton program “We take everything so seriously which I’ll always do,” Smiley said It’s really what you do with the relationships that you create that matters.” SIGN UP: Subscribe to our high school sports newsletter at the Round Table Clubhouse on Middle Beach at Kenton-on-Sea the new NSRI JetRib Spirit of Kenton was named and blessed Guests were The USDA reports more than 9 million chickens in Ohio have contracted the virus in the last 30 days No cases have been recorded in Kentucky flocks this year Wild birds are widely impacted by the ongoing outbreak, too. A study published in Nature Ecology & Evolution estimates millions have been infected and died from avian influenza over the past several years RELATED: Bird flu detected in 1.4 million Mercer County chickens Brunjes says the disease poses little risk to humans currently do not go handle it — just contact us,” Brunjes said Infected birds spread the virus through their saliva can get the virus through contact with infected birds don't let your pets eat dead or dying birds right now because it could potentially kill a dog or a cat if it's eating carcasses of a sick bird,” Brunjes said He says if your pet does end up with a dead bird in its mouth LISTEN: Answering your questions about bird flu Avian influenza is not usually transmitted from waterfowl to songbirds and other feeder birds Brunjes says there’s no recommendation to take your feeder down at this point Kentucky Fish and Wildlife asks people to report wild birds exhibiting the following: You can call the department at 1-800-858-1549 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays. being that the lead detective is not a detective Had Big Talk been looking for an original take on the murder-mystery genre we were looking for a way of doing a crime show because guess what We are always looking for something distinctive that has wit and irreverence as well as telling a cracking good crime story The Outlaws with Stephen Merchant is a big indicator of the tone of Ludwig How did David Mitchell first become involved We work a lot with David Mitchell and Robert Webb The first thing we did with their production company I was having a cup of tea with David one afternoon on set and he confessed to me a secret desire to play a television detective which obviously to a producer is manna from heaven What excited you about the prospect of David as a TV detective or at least the twin brother of one What is exciting about it is this is David’s first acting role that is stepping into the mainstream as a leading man in a one-hour prime-time crime dramedy He has conquered sitcom with Peep Show and Back He has conquered the panel show with Would I Lie To You? which is such a staple of the BBC One schedule this is the natural progression for him like a lot of brilliant comedy actors who have played onscreen detectives David Jason and A Touch of Frost or Alan Davies and Jonathan Creek A big reference for this show was Columbo with Peter Falk and more recently Monk with Tony Shalhoub who again is both a great actor and a great comic actor That’s the journey that we’re on with David It’s the perfect show for him in terms of the character It feels like the right actor at the right time with the right project What makes writer Mark Brotherhood a great fit for this project I mentioned it to him not knowing that he is an uber-crime drama fan He loves them and has always wanted to write one We had a chat and he said he would go away and have a think He came back with this sort of doppelganger idea called Ludwig Mark is a bit like a Northern version of David in many ways and a lot of his wit is observations about the modern world which many men and women of a certain age probably share What are the potential pitfalls in making a murder mystery series In a classic murder-of-the-week show you want the audience to be able to play along and try and work out whodunnit You have to be careful that you don’t cast your murderer very obviously it must be about something other than just the murder of the week You want to have other stories going on as well Those are either relationship stories or there is this other overarching mystery You’ve got Ludwig rekindling his relationship with Lucy You’ve got him thrust into being a surrogate parent because there is Henry who in the absence of his father needs parenting by Uncle Ludwig And then you have got the mystery of where James has gone which is what has brought Ludwig and Lucy back together In the BBC Comedy Mum there was great chemistry and a ‘will-they-won’t-they’ intrigue between Lesley Manville and Peter Mullan Is there an element of that between David Mitchell and Anna Maxwell Martin’s characters But I don’t think we want to encourage him to commit adultery with his brother’s wife There is a deep friendship there and childhood crushes tend to carry on into life In Ludwig’s mind Lucy is the ‘one that got away’ to his brother There is a bit of longing there that David gives you even if it is a longing that cannot speak its name Ludwig is another Big Talk show about families What makes that such a rich source for comedy and drama Most of us either have a family or something that resembles a family unit Not everyone has got an identical twin brother but I think you can understand the emotional stakes of being asked to do something by your sister-in-law And you can understand what it is like to try to be a surrogate parent to your nephew All those access points give you some relatability All our shows don’t have to have families in them but they do have to have some sense of a family unit Didn’t you give director Robbie McKillop his big break on A Young Doctor’s Notebook He has gone on to a lot of other excellent things since then like Guilt That was the show we watched that made us think Robbie would be very good at setting up this show and giving it a distinctive look and feel without throwing the baby out with the bath water What different energy does director Jill Robertson bring to the last three episodes Jill’s episodes are when the stakes get ratcheted up We learn more about the mystery of James’ disappearance and various other quite serious things happen to the characters Jill’s episodes are a bit more classic crime drama We’ve still got Ludwig at the centre of them with his idiosyncratic take on the world but Jill has got more serious s*** to deal with Jill had worked before with our producer Georgie Fallon She has done a lot of work that marries quite traditional drama with wit and playfulness I particularly liked her work on Last Tango in Halifax It’s not a crime drama but the character work in that is very good She also launched Dalgliesh where again she did a very good job of delivering a very cool detective series Jill just had a really good take on the material when we met her Can you pick an unsung hero on this production and tell us about their contribution to Ludwig Alan Connor is our puzzle consultant on the shows When we are designing murders and trying to find puzzle connections to them Alan is our go-to man He is an expert at locked room mysteries and all sorts of things like acrostic and syllogism he also worked on the Young Doctor’s Notebook Your early ambitions were to be a record producer How important is music and score in a series like Ludwig That’s apparent in shows we referenced like The White Lotus or Only Murders in the Building It’s essential in terms of setting tone and style and storytelling And obviously the lead character is named after Ludwig van Beethoven With all this is mind the search for a Composer led us to the brilliant Nathan Klein and Finn Keane who have created a highly original soundtrack that brilliantly combines motifs from the Beethoven repertoire with their own very contemporary approach to an orchestral soundtrack I think the results are stunning and we defy anyone not to end up humming our title music after a couple of listens This interview is an edited version of an interview conducted by the BBC in association with That Mitchell And Webb Company Directors Robert McKillop and Jill Robertson which will distribute the series internationally SUBSCRIBE TODAY It was truly a tale of two halves for the Simon Kenton Lady Pioneers in their 48-39 loss to Frederick Douglass in the first round of the Kentucky High School Athletic Association Sweet 16 on Wednesday night Taking the floor at Rupp Arena for the second time in three seasons Simon Kenton set the nets on fire in the first eight minutes hitting six of seven field goals in the first quarter Anna Kelch made two 3-pointers and Brynli Pernell had 6 early points as the Lady Pioneers raced out to a 21-9 lead But early turnovers were a sign of things to come the Broncos stretched out the Lady Pioneers on offense making it hard for them to make entry passes or get shots up from any angle "I think we were kind of sitting back and were passive on our defense at first we started picking it up a little bit more We started becoming more involved in our traps and we tried to deny (Pernell) the ball," Frederick Douglass head coach Daryl Moberly said A Knowles' putback ignited the Broncos as the second quarter started Waide followed with seven straight as Douglass went on an 11-0 run to head to the locker room trailing 21-20 Simon Kenton did not score a point for the final 7:06 of the half we played our style and then we kind of got loose with the ball in the second quarter It's a typical defensive game that we play but if we're not scoring on the offensive end We've got to dig and claw a lot harder just to get the ball back," Simon Kenton head coach Jeff Stowers said The drought stretched through much of the third quarter as Douglass overtook Simon Kenton to grab a 30-25 lead slicing through the defense and knocking down shots the eighth-grader finished with a game-high 18 points to go with four steals "She's only in eighth grade and putting up big girl numbers There's not much I could say," Knowles said There was a clear shift in the Lady Pioneers' defensive effort Stowers said he knew they had to draw five charges on the Broncos when their goal is normally three but couldn't take advantage of the change in possession "(Knowles) should have fouled out but we had some people that weren't willing to step up on her drives to the basket and we could eliminate a whole bunch of problems if we were willing to get two more fouls," Stowers said Pernell stepped into the lane to draw a charge coming away with a bloody eyebrow in the process SK was worried they would have to navigate the game without their energetic point guard and leading scorer But she emerged from the locker room to a roar from the fans in blue and white "I think that was probably the first thing that I asked As soon as the trainer came over and was like 'Is it really that bad?' I just wanted to get out there with them and finish it," Pernell said After making eight of their first nine field goals the Lady Pioneers went just 4-of-23 until the middle of the fourth quarter A successful season that saw SK beat Sacred Heart then win the 32nd District and Eighth Region came crashing down in two hours in Lexington beating Sacred Heart doesn't mean anything The Lady Pioneers certainly have the roster to return to Rupp Arena in 2026 They had two seniors on the roster; Katelin Blevins was the only one in the rotation during the season Haylie Webb and Meg Gadzala will all be seniors in the starting rotation We're going to come back and we're going to do wonders next year We're going to do way better than we did this year Simon Kenton 39Frederick Douglass: Waide 7 2 18 the RSC’s School for Scandal and Robin/Red/Breast with Maxine Peake are among the highlights of the photographer’s work for the Guardian this year An Alger man was arrested following an incident in Kenton this past Friday According to information on the Kenton Police Department‘s Daily Log Sheet officers received a call concerning a fight at 307 Decatur Street at around 8:50 Friday night He is being held on charges of strangulation and Wyandot Counties including a majority of communities within.
