You gotta check out the Smidstraat area too. It’s narrow, a bit edgy, but full of surprises. I've found hidden benches in the little parks there, a perfect escape for a stressed-out relaxation specialist. And oh man, the green spaces! There's a park near the river Dijle—okay, slight embellishment, but there's a lovely stream that runs by the outskirts. The water glitters and shimmers like a bag of cash, if you catch my drift.
