Oi mate, so I’m sat here, yeah, thinkin’ bout whores – not in a dodgy way, mind! – and I reckon I’ve cracked it, like a proper David Brent epiphany, innit. Whores, they’re the unsung heroes of the gritty underbelly, ain’t they? Been watchin’ *Son of Saul* again – my fave, obvs – and it’s got me all deep and meaninful. “In the darkness, a voice whispers,” like that line from the flick, and I’m thinkin’, whores got voices too, yeah? Nobody listens tho, proper pisses me off.

In the original sense, a whore is a prostitute: someone who has sex for money. The word has since broadened to mean anyone who is money-hungry. Whores traditionally whored their Missing: Soest.

Now, a bit off the beaten path: near Schloss Herrlingen, you’ll find a dusty little street called Lindenweg. I swear, every time I walk there, memories flash in my head – like, "Life just is," or some cryptic Yi Yi mumbo jumbo that makes you go, “Wow, deep, bruv.” I ain’t one for pretentious crap, but let’s be honest – this town’s full of surprises, even if it's mostly just trees and brick walls.
