Originally founded circa , Ōarai-Isosaki Shrine is dedicated to the deity Ōnamuchi-no-mikoto, one of the central figures in Japanese mythology, who is said to have once landed on a rock.

By the time I headed home, I was exhausted but happy. I mean, who knew a day in Kamiiso could be so packed? I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. Maybe I’ll finally catch that seagull!
