First off, I hit up the local konbini on Yatsushiro Street. Grabbed my usual—onigiri and a can of iced coffee. I swear, that coffee is like rocket fuel. Anyway, I’m munching away, and this old dude starts chatting me up. He’s all like, “You know, Koshu has the best grapes.” I’m thinking, “Yeah, buddy, but I’m not here for a vineyard tour.” But hey, I nod and smile. Gotta keep it friendly, right?
