Things to Do

Abashiri city is enclosed by the Okhotsk Sea to the north and Lake Abashiri to the south. The main train station is to the west of the central part of town, but it is located almost in the middle .

Later, I head over to the Abashiri Prison Museum. I know, I know, it sounds weird, but it’s actually cool. The history, the stories, it’s wild. I’m walkin’ through, and I can’t help but think about how different life was back then. Makes my sharpener problems seem tiny.
