The city center is a proper mix of old and new. You got these cosy cafes, little holes-in-the-wall like The Nook on King’s Quay – oh man, the scones there! And then there's Rainworth Abbey Park, a sprawling green haven with ducks in the pond, where I sometimes sit and let my brain decompress after a mad day. The park has hidden corners, secret benches by the creek, where you can literally hear your own thoughts. It’s surreal sometimes, like a scene out of Boyhood, when everything feels raw and real.
