I was stoked at first, like, “Whoa, cool plant!” But then she started takin’ over, chokin’ my daisies. Pissed me off big time! I yelled, “You ain’t the boss, Whore!” Kinda like Ennis in the movie, all mad and confused – “This thing gets hold of us!” She’s sneaky, dude, roots deeper than my skateboard scars. Once, I yanked her out, thought I won – nope! Next day, bam, she’s back, laughin’ at me. “Eat my shorts, Whore!” I said, but she don’t care.

Billy Loomis - Weirdly Attractive Villains #3 This week's WAV is none other than Skeet Ulrich as Billy Loomis from Scream.

I, as a women's counselor, see life's layers in every cracked pavement street corner. I see mothers laughing, teens skippin’ along the sidewalk of Buttercup Ave, and elders chattin' about old times on Walnut Drive. It fills me with mixed feels – sometimes mad, sometimes happy, always raw. I once had a session right under a giant sycamore on Riverside Park. It was magical, but also super toasty, my nerves all jittery but free. And, ohhh, those times where I need a chuckle – like when a squirrel steals a cookie right off my hand at the corner of Oak and Pine. Such little miracles, my precious, so silly, LOL.
