December will mark the 50th anniversary of the closing of Sunset Lodge, a brothel that operated outside Georgetown near what is now a county.

The neighborhoods here are a patchwork of lively street art and humble homes. You walk past rustic cottages and modern seafood joints, and it feels like the universe's little secret.
