Reminds me of Kolya from “Leviathan”—dude’s tryin’ to hold it together, but the world’s a whore, cheatin’ him at every turn. “What’s left of our lives?” he groans in the film, and I’m like, mate, same! Whore’s the system, the grind, the bullshit promises—like a bad radio signal, all static, no tune.

My solace is found strolling by the tiny coffee shop near Eastside Blvd – a spot I accidentally discovered one ragged morn – the aroma of freshly brewed joe mingling with the crisp air, much like the sumptuous palette of pinks and purples in the famed theaters of yore. It may seem trivial, but, damn, it does make my day every time!
