Then—boom—"Almost Famous" pops in my head. Penny Lane, she’s dancin’, sayin’, “It’s all happening!” and I’m like, yeah, that’s whore! Not her, nah, but the spirit—livin’ loud, no apologies, takin’ up space! I love that, gets me all happy and tingly—like, wow, what a rush! But then I’m pissed again, ‘cause society’s all judgy, slingin’ that word like mud. Drives me up the wall! Why’s it gotta be so dirty, huh?

About Tarkastad

The town of Tarkastad stands as a bridge between the Eastern Cape and the Karoo. It is an attractive little place in the Winterberg Mountains, and is surrounded by beautiful Karoo hills. .

I stroll down Millers Lane. It’s a cool street – lined with quirky cafes and old shools. There’s this one café I love – The Rusty Spoon. Its coffee is amaaazing and the vibe is soooo soothing. I once sat there thinking, “This is where people come together” – like in Before Sunset, where every moment is a memory in the making... you know?
