HRC) Each experimental campaign consisted of hot rolling four hundred AISI 1045 steel plates (15x100x250 mm) Five campaigns for each alloy were performed and rolls were taken out the stand to measure the roll profile and the thermal crack density Comparison between simulations and the operation of the pilot rolling mill were performed which contributed to a simple model to predict the occurrence of thermal fatigue based on three rolling mill operational parameters: reduction roll speed and temperature of the rolled material further studies were conducted regarding the abrasive behavior of roll microstructures and on the effect of oxidation on the thermal fatigue behavior The development of highly sophisticated work roll materials requires expertise knowledge in the fields of metallurgy and material science In the case of roll grades for the late finishing stands the metallurgical characteristics are complex as stable and metastable phases appear together in the microstructure Indefinite-Chill roll grades (ICDP) consist of cementite and graphite embedded in a bainitic-martensitic matrix and may be supported by MC carbides in the case of carbide-enhanced ICDP grades The last development step of graphitic HSS grades widens this field as more complex carbides such as M2C and M6C were introduced into the metallurgical system and still a well-balanced microstructure has to be achieved Additionally the application in the rolling mill plays an important role in the development of roll grades which meet the customers’ demands The wear resistance is the most important factor for work rolls but it is well-known that also other criteria are not less important such as the surface quality and the sensitivity against mill incidents Especially these two factors require a close cooperation between the work roll manufacturer and the customer including the rolling mill and the roll shop To improve the work roll surface it is important to understand the mechanisms of work roll degradation which may vary from mill to mill The sensitivity against mill incidents has to be split into two factors the resistance against the crack initiation and the resistance against the a história como uma das ações mais exitosas dentre os órgãos ambientais potiguares envolvendo um efetivo de 21 agentes federais de 5 estados (RN CE além da participação da Diretoria de Proteção Ambiental (DIPRO) gerou forte pressão do Governo do Rio Grande do Norte e dos empresários salineiros sobre o Instituto de Desenvolvimento Sustentável e Meio Ambiente (Idema) que ficou incumbido de “salvar a atividade” segundo o próprio diretor-geral do Instituto na época via licenciamento ou renovação das licenças das salinas em situação irregular O decreto declara como de interesse social as salinas “cujas ocupação e implantação tenham ocorrido até 22 de julho de 2008” A menção a esta data decorre da entrada em vigor do Decreto 6.514/08 (Lei de crimes ambientais) que dispõe sobre as infrações e sanções administrativas a quem destruir ou danificar florestas ou demais formas de vegetação natural em APPs sem autorização ou em desacordo com a norma O Código Florestal de 1965 (Lei nº 4.771) já permitia a ocupação em APPs nas condições de interesse social diversas outras ações ou atividades como de interesse social e utilidade pública além de atividades de baixo impacto ambiental Dentre as possíveis intervenções em APPs estão as atividades imprescindíveis à proteção da integridade da vegetação nativa a implantação de certos tipos de infraestruturas e instalações públicas a regularização fundiária de assentamentos humanos de baixa renda em áreas consolidadas atividades de pesquisa e extração mineral outorgadas Também foi incluída a possibilidade de permissão de “outras atividades similares devidamente caracterizadas e motivadas em procedimento administrativo próprio quando inexistir alternativa técnica e locacional à atividade proposta definidas em ato do Chefe do Poder Executivo federal” Declara de interesse social a atividade em salina destinada à produção e ao beneficiamento de sal marinho no uso da atribuição que lhe confere o art Art. 1º Fica declarada de interesse social, para fins do disposto na alínea “g” do inciso IX caput do art. 3º da Lei nº 12.651, de 25 de maio de 2012 cujas ocupação e implantação tenham ocorrido até 22 de julho de 2008 realizada em áreas localizadas nos Municípios de Mossoró A declaração de interesse social não vincula a tomada de decisão dos órgãos e das entidades ambientais competentes quanto à aprovação do
