the number 100 becomes 001: the upcoming edition of Pitti Bimbo plays with this mirrored number game while it announces its next dates as it will take place in Florence Fortezza ba Basso on 22 and 23 January with its 100th edition
The event will be full of new projects and exhibitors
It will host 150 made-in-Italy brands and 65% of the total from abroad
“The market is changing and so does Pitti Bimbo,” stressed Raffaello Napoleone
faster and less onerous format for participants
We have decided to invest to stand alongside the companies
which are currently going through a moment of great transformation
This is why we have chosen to use pre-equipped stands
buyers and influencers,” continued Napoleone
sales director of the Florentine organisation
explaining that it will be more streamlined because it will last two days
and it will be more customised because it is designed to meet every insider’s needs
“It is not just an economic matter,” said Agostino Poletto
“Taking a cue from other exhibitions we are involved with
we want to strengthen the idea of a collective storytelling with Pitti Bimbo
The January edition will be a strong test in terms of editing and curating: the sense of an exhibition like this is to communicate a wow effect to the buyer
something more than just showroom presentations,” explained Poletto
will focus on the theme of fire as its leitmotif
“We rethought and reorganised spaces according to a beautiful
colourful and lively city inspired by the popular kids' pastime Game of the Goose," said Parabiago
The offer will be increasingly lifestyle-oriented: “There will be a lot of fashion
with the FW25/26 collections of clothing and accessories
and for the first time an area dedicated to food,” she explained
“We are still building the calendar of events
Some brands will create ad hoc anniversary collections

Two macro-areas will characterise the event: Pitti Bimbo 100% with new trends
This section will highlight small brands as discovered by Dimitra Zavakou
head and founder of the Berlin concept lab Little Pop Up
Among the highlights there will be the Fashion Speed Dates
short and targeted meetings between brands and buyers
and the presence of the marketplace for children and young people Family Circle
which will host a special showcase of its proposals

David LoobyNew Ross StandardFri 21 Oct 2022 at 08:00Fethard handcyclist Seamus Wall has won a European title – the biggest of his career – having consistently placed in the top ten in competitions around Europe over the past three years
Seamus (53) competed in the European Handcycling League Championships – the final stage of which was held in Parabiago
"I finished seventh in the 45km race in the rain
This was the final round of the league which included a total of nine races between time trials and road races,” said Seamus
Having had top 10 finishes in all his previous races he had amassed enough points to win the league
seeing him over the line before the final race was run
A time trial is usually a 16km long individual race against the clock and the road races range from 45km up to 72km
Due to Covid this was an extended season going back to 2020
Other rounds of the league were held in Lanzarote
who also plays basketball competitively in the national league
hits speeds of up to 87 km/h going downhill
is equally as fast on the flat as as a two-wheel bike
He said winning the European title has been his greatest achievement
Seamus started handcycling back in 2013 as a recreational activity – having excelled at discus throwing for years – but soon after buying his first bike he got the competition bug again having been a field eventer for many years before hand
as his coach in 2014 and steadily improved his times and results from then on
"I have been silver and bronze medalist winner in the National Time Trial Championships and Road Race Championships over the past few years
Last year I made a breakthrough in International racing finishing third in a time trial in Caceres in Spain and again finished third this year in the same event the week before I competed in Parabiago."
The race in Parabiago was the final race for the season and Seamus will take a short break before starting winter training for the first race of next year which should be in Lanzarote in February
SoccerWexford Football League: Tombrack United take the Division 5 titleTombrack United’s ‘B’ team wrapped up the Division 5 title on Friday when a strong second-half performance saw them beat a dogged Taghmon side 3-0
In a shocking incident that unfolded on Friday afternoon
the Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Saint Elizabeth
located in Villastanza—a district of Parabiago
Italy—witnessed a devastating arson attack
engaged in a destructive targeted attack inside the historic church
causing massive damages amounting to thousands of euros
The Muslim migrant, who was reportedly in a state of “mental distress,” entered the church armed with an axe
initially targeting the church’s historic organ
Witnesses and security camera footage revealed that the man broke the organ pipes dating back to the 17th century before turning his attention to the nativity scene
The suspect reportedly circled the Church’s altar
then piled cushions and other items around the nativity scene
Using a container of flammable liquid he had in his pocket
he doused the nativity scene and set it on fire
This act destroyed the nativity scene and caused significant damage to other parts of the church
had been seen acting erratically in the area a few days before the incident
He was observed talking to himself and making threats
he briefly entered a local bar with the axe before heading to the church
smoke had begun to billow from the church’s main door and bell tower
The local police apprehended the suspect approximately three hundred meters from the church
He was taken into custody and questioned at length
The firefighters arrived promptly at the scene and extinguished the fire
salvaging what they could of the church’s interiors
The damage to the church is extensive
with the smoke blackening the ceiling and completely ruining the frescoes
While the exact cost of the damages is unknown
estimates suggest it could be in the tens of thousands of euros
This incident has drawn strong reactions from local political figures
a regional councilor for the Northern League
described the act as “a gesture of unprecedented violence” and questioned the nature of integration and respect for Christian symbols
emphasized the symbolic and destructive nature of the episode
Mayor Raffaele Cucchi of Parabiago condemned the attack as “cowardly and uncivilized,” noting the significant impact on the community
the community of Villastanza is left to grapple with the aftermath of this tragedy
mourning the loss of their cherished place of worship and the destruction of significant cultural heritage
