The latest international address by our tragic Manhattan princeling saw him offer up an outburst on Joe Biden’s agreement to supply US long-range Atacms missiles to Ukraine to use against Russian and North Korean forces in the Kursk region “The Military Industrial Complex seems to want to make sure they get World War 3 going before my father has a chance to create peace and save lives,” this ran it’s pretty easy to “create peace” if you just give the strongest party or parties whatever they want You’d imagine Don Jr could do a tight 10 on the art-of-the-deal of the treaty of Versailles but which of us in possession of an iota of foresight Regrettably, the sense that he should be neither seen nor heard has yet to penetrate the Junior cranium – but then he has trouble reading rooms. He proposed to his now ex-wife at a jewellery store in front of cameras so he could get the $100,000 ring for free and was mystified when even his father publicly found it tacky As one of his recent salvoes had it: “Now that woke is dead can we take out perpetual victim mentality next???” Which means so much more coming from the son of a man whose “poor me” gland is swollen to the point of insurrection the biggest alarm bells concerning Don Jr are those persistent hints that he harbours political ambitions himself Experience suggests that wouldn’t be beyond the realms of the achievable For a country that went to so much trouble to overthrow a monarchy the US has spent a remarkable proportion of the past few decades attempting to pass its presidency down dynasties (in the case of the Bushes) or within marriages (in the case of the Clintons) Yet something about Earth’s least-deserving nepo-baby stops one short of fearing the worst on this front Even if Trump fulfils his stated promise and acts like “a dictator” on day one you can’t help feeling Don Jr is merely the equivalent of the outlandish gilt furniture which decoratively challenged authoritarians typically scatter around the palace compound to make it feel less empty and he doesn’t really serve any meaningful purpose – at least until the inevitable day he gets grabbed and used as a shield A&I Distributors is celebrating 100 years as one of the largest and oldest oil distributors in the region Don Stanaway has had a lot to do with that success It’s something he has been doing for nearly all his life you will still find Don here at the Billings office of A&I on a regular basis—serving as president emeritus but it wasn’t too long after that,” he smiles Oil has been in the family for the Stanaways for four generations “We are a distributor of over 20 brands of motor oil We have more brands of motor oil to my knowledge of any other motor oil distributor in the United States,” Don says Don gives a lot of the credit to his late wife and A&I’s 200-plus employees and now we have expanded that to include our employees “He is such a smart guy who pours over the books He is really good because he keeps me and the rest of the company on our toes,” says Don’s son He is just such a positive influence to everybody he meets and he is such a positive influence around the office He started working in the company warehouse as a young boy and with most of the able-bodied men off to World War II suffered a serious back injury trying to move a heavy drum of oil He faced the prospect of what at the time was a very risky surgery “But he said maybe if you do some sit-ups those muscles will keep your back aligned I started doing 50 sit-ups a day in 1944 and up to now where I do 100 sit-ups every morning and 100 sit-ups every night Along with his family and the company he helped build He was one of the original members of the Billings Symphony and still plays the trombone I have been playing the Al Bedoo Shrine band since 1952,” he says That’s when he is not here working— or having fun as he calls it—something he plans to keep right on doing Click here to nominate someone for Q2’s Super Senior segment Thanks for visiting The use of software that blocks ads hinders our ability to serve you the content you came here to enjoy We ask that you consider turning off your ad blocker so we can deliver you the best experience possible while you are here Pop star Dua Lipa was joined by NZ icon Neil Finn for a duet on 'Don't Dream It's Over' on the final show of her Aotearoa tour on Friday night The two appeared at Spark Arena together to sing the Crowded House classic Loved every moment with youuuu AUS/NZ ," Lipa wrote on Instagram She singled out Finn for joining her on stage What a way to kick off our year around the world!! The message they sent on Aug. 30, the morning after a car struck and killed the Gaudreau brothers wished the organization strength and had a simple message to Waddell: that there was no doubt he could lead the organization through this tragedy “I think it’s important in those moments that you feel some support or love from somewhere,” Graham Snyder told The Athletic “When I woke up and first heard the news and saw the headline and started reading … it took me about a minute and I said It’s Don again.’ I knew he had moved to Columbus he must lead a grieving organization through so much pain at a time when hockey does not feel remotely important and the organization did,” Graham Snyder said Because who can think about going through that twice in your life?” “When Graham and LuAnn reached out to me that Friday it meant the world to me,” Waddell told The Athletic How they dealt with it and how we’ve stayed in touch over the years it just meant the world to me to hear from them knowing that as parents who went through it (they) felt we handled it as well as we could of and supported them Graham Snyder has vivid memories of speaking to Thrashers players after his son’s death in 2003 and wishing them the strength to carry on “I remember going into the Thrashers dressing room in Atlanta there was some strength that came from somewhere,” Snyder said “Just a calm that came over me and I started talking to the team about what needed to happen and that we were there for them.” the support from people around the sport was so important “One of the things that kind of got us through it and it’s what is happening right now in Columbus and around the hockey world The hockey world is so connected and so tight with the support from others in the hockey world.” “Yes, 100 percent,” Waddell said. “It’s pretty evident by all the players that came out to the funeral — a lot of players that played with him but also a lot of players that didn’t play with him. This has had an impact not just on the Blue Jackets but the whole National Hockey League I’ve heard from so many people that didn’t know the Gaudreau family but saw all the stories and just wanted to be supportive and ask what they could do to help out The idea now is to honor Johnny Gaudreau’s memory by playing for him the emotions will carry them through for a while,” Snyder said the Jackets are surely still in a fog of pain and shock But they need to find the strength to move on “We’re all devastated for the Gaudreau families,” Waddell said “You don’t ever think that parents should be burying their kids There isn’t a moment that goes by that you’re not thinking about the families But we also listened to (Johnny’s wife) Meredith when she talked at the church She knows that Johnny wants the best for us that he would want us to go out and do what we’re capable of doing and try to win as many hockey games as we can.” 'Let's keep their stories alive': Team candlelight vigils for Gaudreau brothers allow fans Getting the players as much help as they need is paramount “Everybody grieves and mourns differently,” Waddell said “You don’t expect that people can get through this by themselves They’ve offered up multiple grief counselors.” Waddell added that starting this week through Ohio Health the Jackets also have people on-site who can speak with players It will be a difficult process in the days ahead “We have to try and figure out how to get through the healing process and continue to move forward,” Waddell said the Blue Jackets just three years ago lost young goalie Matiss Kivlenieks to a tragic death as well an event that still scars many in the organization Johnny Gaudreau's death devastates a Blue Jackets organization already familiar with tragedy But just the hope that somehow everyone will find the strength “This was a senseless and cruel way for people to lose their life,” Waddell said It is a tragedy that will forever be with so many affected the Jackets will honor the spirit of a player beloved by teammates they will want to continue to help a grieving Gaudreau family in any way possible The Snyders felt that from the Thrashers 21 years ago “They were so much behind us and supportive,” Snyder said “It was truly amazing and truly touching.” The Gila Herald Your trusted source for news of the Gila Valley and more in Mesa where he was undergoing physical therapy after hip surgery where he served as a trainer on the Thatcher Volunteer Fire Department and faithfully attended Tuesday-night meetings Gila Valley residents who have attended presentations at Discovery Park will remember Don’s fascination with the prehistoric canal system in the northern foothills of the Pinaleño Mountains The combination of his engineering expertise and his never-ending curiosity and desire to learn resulted in decades of research and mapping of the prehistoric canal system which he dubbed the “hanging canals” for their locations on hillsides He coauthored scientific papers about them with Dr James Neely of the University of Texas-Austin Don was truly a microcomputer pioneer and held a patent for one of the original Apple parts that he developed. He was especially proud of his website, Guru’s Lair Resources at www.tinaja.com a sometimes-overwhelming compendium of computer topics Don and his family lived in Parker and Goodyear He attended Lafayette College in Pennsylvania where he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering He graduated from Arizona State University with a Master’s degree in Engineering while working for Goodyear Aerospace Corp. and nearly completed a second Master’s degree in Archaeology at ASU Read this week's magazine Writer and illustrator Don Brown’s award-winning graphic nonfiction and biographies confront harrowing events including September 11 chronicles the urgent conflict in one of the most threatened cities in the war in Ukraine PW spoke with Brown about what attracts him to his subjects how he conducted research into a rapidly unfolding story and the way he framed harsh realities for his audience How do you decide which topics to tackle and when This book’s subject is incredibly timely or are there other factors that you weigh when considering new material what struck me was the incongruity of what essentially is a 19th-century We have not seen that in several generations I have a great relationship with my editor at Clarion The problem was the deadline because I was in the middle of working on a book about the Holocaust that is coming out this fall because I thought it was important [for this one] to be as timely as possible I had to work like mad and the story was still unfolding but everyone understood that it would fall That [fall] would be inevitable in terms of geography as Mariupol sits so close to what was Russian-controlled Ukrainian territory and due to Russian military might As I worked on the book I also kept an eye turned to the events Then Mariupol folded and I finished the book not much after that We live in fast-moving times and succeeding events overshadow and diminish the previous events and I don’t think that should be The most notable example and the one that most pointed to our own times is that the 1918 Influenza was pretty much forgotten within a month And the toll in terms of death was so much more than the First World War it just fell beneath the surface and disappeared completely People started talking about it only when Covid came back Historians argue about what is remembered and what is forgotten I like to resurrect those people and those events because they deserve to be remembered Did you feel added urgency in writing about the war in Ukraine given the ongoing current events It was an unfolding tragedy and so I could see it happening and the scope of it was heartbreaking other things were happening at that point—the Ukrainians had beaten back the Russians from Kyiv and they were uncovering episodes of war crimes That permeated into the book and I tried to mention also what was going on outside of just Mariupol The urgency and seriousness affected me deeply The other thing that attracted me to Mariupol was that these [conflicts] have echoes of Thermopylae and the Alamo and Corregidor but in the larger scheme of things they ended up as rallying cries that led to ultimate victory whether the Ukrainians receive ultimate victory or not is yet to be determined I’m not sure if Mariupol will ever be returned back to Ukraine just because of the geography and whether Ukraine can roll back the Russians to pre-war borders but sometimes the realities of war get in the way How did you conduct your research into Mariupol and the Ukraine I focused mainly on newspaper and magazine articles At one point I thought about traveling to Poland to witness the refugee crisis I curated a lot of newspaper articles and I would try to pluck out the most germane eyewitness accounts to get at what someone is thinking in the first person I can do my best as a writer to paint a picture but it is so much better if someone on the ground and in the moment says it What do you feel is important to convey when documenting these serious subjects And how do you seek to make these events both true and approachable for a younger audience I could reach for the most outrageous things to grab the reader I did not want to be gratuitous but I did not want to diminish the horror of it either I am a big fan of less is more in terms of writing I think it is important to let the art do as much to carry the story as possible And the text should accentuate and enlarge what you see The example that comes to mind is the book I did about Hurricane Katrina I talk about people who were trapped in their house as the water started to flood and they went up from the first floor to the second floor and that water filled up and finally forced them into the attic They would have drowned in the attic if they had not punched a hole into the roof and scrambled onto the roof but it is just so much easier to convey it with images 83 Days in Mariupol: A War Diary by Don Brown “Don’t Give Up,” the heart-stopping duet by Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush from Gabriel’s 1986 album So is a song about resilience in the face of despair Inspired by Depression-era photographs by Dorothea Lange and the economic hardships under Margaret Thatcher’s UK Gabriel reflects on the emotional toll of unemployment and isolation Gabriel expresses the feelings of a man in despair while Bush’s choruses offer comforting words of hope Gabriel sought Dolly Parton for the duet but ultimately collaborated with Bush whose delicate vocals added a powerful layer of empathy and encouragement to the song How To Wear It The Cartier Tank Cintrée In-Depth Examining Value And Price Over Time With The ‘No Date’ Rolex Submariner Watches In The Wild The Road Through America, Episode 1: A Model Of Mass Production Why a jewelry-first brand from Paris might be the next big thing in watch collecting I came across an Instagram post from my friend Kevin O'Dell (or @theydid) focusing mainly on vintage (of course) and particularly smaller watches from brands that certainly don't fall into the "hype" bucket You'll find a few Rolex on his feed yet not Submariners or GMTs square-shaped yellow gold watch with Clous de Paris finishing I scrolled to the next photo in the carousel and my jaw dropped Hand engraved on the caseback in a font I immediately fell for was "Boucheron Paris" – I was hooked and needed to know more A Reflet in yellow gold with ribbed finish A Carrée in white gold with brushed finish Riding on the winds of attention towards Cartier and neo-vintage "dress" watches in precious metal have turned to a high jewelry maison located at 26 Place Vendôme for 130 years Boucheron released its first collection of pocket watches in 1859 and wristwatches in 1885 Jewelry historians frame the history of Boucheron around the eras in which it thrived the maison hit the Art Nouveau nail on the head and his inclination for clean lines and cubism trends swung toward innovation rather than excess Parisian taste demanded fine construction rather than the most unique and beautiful precious gems It is out of this period of innovation that Boucheron's best wristwatches are designed BT 1203255 part of the reason this watch was advertised as the thinnest watch in the world in 1964 The maison was seemingly obsessed with how a watch attaches to a wrist Boucheron patented at least three clasp systems that are unlike anything in the conventional watch world Proudly engraved underneath the brand name on many Boucheron casebacks we see "BT 908247" or "BT 1203255." These are French patent numbers not serials or references Each is unique to Boucheron and completely novel in the watch world both of the above allowing for single piece straps detacting by sliding a "lug." applied for in 1970 – is a clasp system allowing for an adjustable leather strap without the added bulk of a deployant-style buckle I describe these patents not only to decode caseback engravings but to substantiate the idea that Boucheron was focused on construction and innovation each model was designed from the ground up could easily have been made to use spring bars and a pin buckle but that wasn't the point could have done the same or even used the Reflet's tube system and been slightly thicker – again The point was to create a beautifully constructed piece of jewelry that tells the time as opposed to a watch that looks good Similar to the brand's first watches under Frédéric integrating time into floral brooches for example it is hard not to hook and unhook the clasp to the guy at your office who just won't stop flipping his Reverso over and over again The watches are extremely well made – I never feel like the locking spring mechanism on the Carrée is at risk of breaking from my repeated use Boucheron did not manufacture watch movements the higher-end watches with gem-setting or stone appliqués as well as most Reflets until the 1970s used an Omega movement The caseback of each watch produced with an Omega movement is engraved with a little Omega logo Cases were always manufactured in France by suppliers such as Cristofol who manufactured for Cartier and Tiffany & Co who supplied cases for "Fab Suisse" Omegas The variety of watches offered by Boucheron in these decades is vast The most collectible models are the Reflet and Carrée though it should be noted that Boucheron did not use these names in period – each was marketed as simply a "wrist-watch." Even for the more agreed-upon models and white gold with varying finishes like Clous de Paris (or hobnail) A Clous de Paris case will have a fully Clous de Paris textured dial collectors are beginning to focus on a later model sometimes referred to as the Galet or Egg These have another interesting case shape where a large ovular bezel surrounds a smaller dial The outer portion is often rendered in organic materials like onyx and tortoise shell as well as a matching brushed gold Various other shaped watches are available though quite hard to find many examples being Tank-esque rectangular watches Alexandre Tritz is the in-house strap maker for Akrivia and Rexhep Rexhepi he goes by "The Boucheron Guy" on Instagram under the handle @thewatcham Alexandre likes a watch with what he calls a "secret mechanism" like bag watches from Movado and this comparison is not totally out of the question Putting aside where both brands sit in the modern watch world and none of Boucheron's designs have stood the test of time quite like the Tank or Santos "When you hold a Boucheron in your hands you can feel that quality everything is adjusted perfectly," says Alexandre "when you move the stem of the crown in a vintage Cartier there is a system inside the case to make sure that does not happen." "I think they're nicer than Cartier's from the era The designs and finishing are more unconventional and better Cartier was only doing polished or brushed." When a collector buys a watch made in Paris from this era they are doing so for the design Kevin calls out the hand engravings that had me swooning An argument can be made that some of the movements in Cartier watches are better but "nobody is buying these watches for the movement." there is a significant lack of available information on Boucheron watches of this period The sense of discovery makes this brand all the more interesting There is a single book about Boucheron's watchmaking history printed only in French and written in 1992 it didn't help much (my apologies to Monsieur Gilles Neret) Extracts are supposedly available from the Boucheron archives – an archive that includes painted depictions of each watch the brand manufactured (be still my beating heart) – though the cost is reportedly €1200 With each Boucheron watch that is presented for sale or as a part of a collection on Instagram This is vintage watch collecting 1.0 in 2023 and there is something special about that Having to work for information before acquiring a watch is cool 1675 gmt mark 1 long e fuschia pepsi" is not There is a definitive value aspect to Boucheron right now as well A great Reflet is right under $10k and a Carrée is around $3-4k depending on the metal and finish Other models like that Egg shape and the rare earlier chronographs or rectangular watches are a bit more of a "name your price if you have it" game they were made in small quantities from what we can tell but when they come up the prices are just not what they should be considering that a conversation against Cartier is at least worth having A Carrée caseback with the engraver's guidelines still in tact Introducing The Doxa Sub 200, Now With A Steel Bezel Introducing Seiko Prospex 1968 Heritage Diver’s GMT 60th Anniversary Edition SPB519 Introducing The Tudor Black Bay Chrono "Carbon 25" Business News Rolex Will Raise U.S. Prices In Response To Tariffs Six Of The Coolest CPO Rolex Watches I Saw In London's Old Bond Street Rolex Boutique Reference Points The Cartier Tank Louis Introducing The Christopher Ward C12 'Loco' (Live Pics) Hands-On Tudor's Black Bay Pro Gets A Surprisingly Dramatic Facelift With An Opaline Dial by December 19, 2024Source: YouTube "It's just these rich Silicon Valley-types chasing the fountain of youth..." It recently released the inaugural Ontario Corn Hybrid DON Screening Report, based on hybrid testing from 2019 to 2023 Testing was designed to identify the relative resistance of hybrids across multiple environments at two locations and at three planting dates at each location per year The report said there are no DON-resistant hybrids but findings provide a relative risk assessment Additional information from seed companies and field trial results should be used to make hybrid decisions based on DON risk corn specialist with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture said 2019 was a learning year because the trials and methods were new data are presented for hybrids entered in 2023 but include data from the previous four years of trials “There were some concerns that DON hybrid trial results were not always representing the risks of hybrids as observed in real life in the initial year,” says Rosser such as including three planting dates instead of only one It was generally agreed that results would be released once the trials produced a couple of years of data that participants believed were reliable.” It is a challenge to create conditions in which gibberella ear rot can thrive 10 plants per row were hand-inoculated from full silk to the first sign of silk browning then mist-irrigated on timers every day for roughly four weeks after inoculation but gibberella and resulting DON levels are the primary concerns “It’s one of the ear moulds that does better in cooler wetter corn-growing regions like Ontario,” says Rosser which has maximum regulated limits for feed use and it tends to be watched most closely through the corn chain.” The goal is to provide as much information as possible to growers with as many hybrids entered as were provided by seed companies so it only represents a subset of hybrids available in the province,” says Rosser “But there was an emphasis on entering hybrids that would be grown in the areas of the province where DON is typically the greatest issue Corn hybrids are not under a registration program like other crops so it’s completely voluntary for companies to participate and the corn committee appreciates the participation we receive.” DON levels in 16 hybrids were similar to the susceptible check while two were statistically higher Newsletter Sign Up - Receive daily Ontario farm and production news You’ll also receive industry insight on why it matters delivered right to your inbox Ralph Pearce is a field editor for Glacier FarmMedia at St John Deere partners in women's clothing line Sclerotinia-resistant canola varieties may be in the cards May contract talks alarm sugar beet growers Terms and Conditions | Privacy Policy | © 2025 "(Required)" indicates required fields SILVERSTEIN have released a new music video The new music video, for the track Don’t Let Me Get Too Low, is taken from the Canadian post-hardcore band’s upcoming new album, Antibloom which is scheduled to be released in February this year “Don’t Let Me Get Too Low blends our classic sound with our pop-punk and also our hardcore influences,” shares frontman Shane Told about the new single “It’s a song that is hard to describe because it does so much in under three minutes we were in the middle of the desert outside Las Vegas and I was digging my own grave with a big smile on my face Luckily no cops showed up to ask us what we were doing that might have been hard to explain.” “Sometimes the only person that can save you from yourself is… yourself we had a great time making this song,” adds guitarist Paul Marc Rousseau but a few parts kicked our ass for a while I lowkey kind of love when the whole room is just grinding out like 10 seconds of music for two2 hours It feels like the most important thing in the world but also so absurd at the same time That’s the thing with writing something this short: you have to make sure every second serves a purpose Watch the official music video for Don’t Let Me Get Too Low here:  Antibloom is set for release on February 21st via UNFD. The brand had been around since 2008, but was better known for having a cult following on cigar forums than being available at your local store. In 2014, Warped relaunched in an even bigger way than before with a much greater focus on national distribution It’s now been a decade since that relaunch, which also means it’s the 10th anniversary of the three lines it introduced in 2014: Don Reynaldo, El Oso and La Comena. In February, the company released El Oso’s 10th anniversary cigar: a 6 x 50 toro known as Grand Papa that uses a different blend than the standard El Oso line At last month’s 2024 PCA Convention & Trade Show it showed off the other two 10th anniversary cigars It has an MSRP of $24 per cigar and is limited to just 750 boxes of 10 cigars While Warped didn’t disclose blend details the standard Don Reynaldo blend uses a mixture of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos It is expected to ship in either late April or early May no blend details were provided at PCA 2024 though the regular La Colmena blend uses an Ecuadorian wrapper and binder over Nicaraguan fillers It will have an MSRP of $26 per cigar and production is limited to 2,000 boxes of 10 cigars The La Colmena 10th Anniversary isn’t expected to ship until September or October All three blends—Don Reynaldo, El Oso and La Comena—are made at El Titan de Bronze in Miami I am an editor and co-founder of halfwheel.com/Rueda Media I far from one of the main slums of the city It is a very large centre with dozens of classrooms and workshops where students receive vocational training of the highest level about ten Salesians and about 50 teachers work there and make their skills available to 340 boys and girls who follow vocational training programs Building work on of this new African Valdocco officially started on Don Bosco’s feast day Thanks to the commitment of so many people today this great Salesian school offers as many as 20 different vocational courses (including mechanics etc.) to young men and women from very fragile social and family backgrounds playgrounds and workshops they find an opportunity for redemption and solid tools that can guarantee them a professional future thanks to the many collaborations that the Salesians have established with dozens of companies throughout the country the school is experiencing difficulties in providing water for the student community: the water table in Karen's neighbourhood has subsided and most of the wells have dried up Salesians are currently obliged to buy water outside to ensure the minimum water needs of the school: this need is beginning to weigh heavily on the financial resources of the vocational school Excavation work has therefore been carried out to find the deeper water,  but the existing pump is not powerful enough to bring it to the surface an important point of reference in the field of vocational training in Africa they have sought help from Missioni Don Bosco the Salesian Mission Office based in Turin The intention is to buy a new electric pump to find water that is 320 metres deep teachers and students at Don Bosco Boys Town are very optimistic: the collaboration developed and strengthened over the years with Missioni Don Bosco has already brought many concrete results – in terms of solidarity and development – in Kenya with the support and valuable collaboration of Olympic athlete Fiona May from 2019 alongside the Salesian Mission Office important interventions were completed in two different Kenyan centres: in the Salesian mission at Makuyu expenses were incurred in refurbishment of the printing workshop so strongly desired by Fr Felice Molino – another Italian missionary active in Kenya – who studied this area many years ago at Colle Don Bosco the purchase and installation of an important system of solar panels was financed It will ensure clean energy and offer important assistance to the running of the Salesian centre in the capital For more information, visit: world-class Salesian youth film festival, the organizing committee of the DBGYFF has decided to grant an additional week of time: the deadline has been extended, from July 31 to August 7, 2024. The motivation for this choice was the enthusiasm registered among the many young people around the world. “I am very happy with the response we are receiving from so many countries and realities, among Salesians and young people,” reported Fr. Gildasio Mendes, the General Councilor for Social Communication. I am grateful to the Social Communication Delegates in a special way for all that they have done and are doing to make this project more and more meaningful.” One instance is when the festival's Organizing Committee highlights a Salesian institution that organized filmmaking workshops conducted by professional filmmakers to boost youth involvement in the festival. Another example is a house that is motivating its young residents to create and submit 25 unique short films to commemorate the house's 25th anniversary. With the aim of ensuring a high level of assurance, quality and impartiality of the selection processes, as in previous years, each film that will be nominated to the DBGYFF will be evaluated by three different regional juries. Subsequently, the Grand Jury will assess and review the most qualified candidates, with a total of 12 members already selected for this purpose. With extensive research and analysis, the primary location for the DBGYFF World Finale has been determined. While the festival will be organized in numerous venues worldwide during the weekend of Oct. 17-18, 2024, the ultimate showcase featuring the announcement of the globally winning shorts is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 18 at the “Loreto Theater” within the “Sheen Center” in New York City. TUESDAY, JANUARY 07, 2025 PlayLoading... Government moves to improve traffic flow and safety on vital highway following cabinet approval of new regulations.  The Thai Cabinet has approved new regulations governing speed limits on the Don Muang Tollway (Concession Highway No. 5) on Tuesday.  The Ministerial Regulation on Determining the Speed Rate of Vehicles on Concession Highways B.E. 2020 aims to improve traffic flow and enhance safety on this vital thoroughfare. Previously, the Don Muang Tollway lacked specific speed limit regulations. While the Ministerial Regulation on Speed Limits for Driving in Bus Lanes B.E. 2564 provided general guidelines, it was not deemed suitable for the specific characteristics of a concession highway. The new regulations introduce the following speed limits: Furthermore, vehicles in the rightmost lane must maintain a minimum speed of 90 km/h, unless traffic conditions or visibility restrictions necessitate a lower speed. Karom Pornpromklang, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, stated that these revised speed limits are intended to improve traffic flow, enhance safety, and ensure more efficient utilisation of the Don Muang Tollway. The objective of the development of Don Mueang Airport phase 3 is to expand its capacity to accommodate passenger traffic, improve service quality for both air and ground transportation systems, enhance efficiency, and reduce congestion within the airport. The current capacity of the airport is 30 million passengers per year. The addition of a third passenger terminal will provide 160,000 square metres of usable space for international passengers, increasing the airport's capacity to accommodate an additional 50 million passengers per year. Improvements will also be made to the traffic system for passenger convenience, among them the construction of connections from the Don Mueang Tollway to the passenger terminal. The new Terminal 3 will serve international passengers and international flight routes exclusively. The current passenger terminals 1 and 2 will be renovated to accommodate domestic passengers, with a total usable space of up to 240,000 sqm, making Don Mueang Airport a fully equipped domestic aviation centre. The development will be split into six segments. The first will see the construction of Passenger Terminal 3 to the south of the airport, along with Aircraft Stand 6, and the renovation of the 7-story car park building to serve passenger drop-off and pick-up. Another will focus on developing the northern side of the airport including aircraft parking bays, expansion of the northern concourse as well as the construction of airline offices and a VVIP support building. Other segments include the construction of operational zones, the renovation of the existing passenger terminal buildings, construction of public utility systems. and monitoring, inspecting, and ensuring the quality of the environment during the renovation and restoration phase of the project. Funding will come from AOT's revenue, which is sufficient for the investment. Current estimates anticipate that passenger numbers will recover to 95 million this year and continue to grow to 200 million within 2027. This is in line with the International Air Transport Association (IATA)'s forecast, which anticipates that the COVID-19 situation will ease and global travellers will return to pre-Covid levels from 2023-2024. Which is precisely how Megan’s flawlessness manages, against the odds, to work for both her character and the show.
